Don't damage the door and the frame; it'll come out of your deposit, and doors are expensive. Instead, go with something like this or this.

That's too much work man. Just build a simple electromagnet and hook it to your 110v outlet. mount it inside your case next to your HDD and ram. Hook up a switch for that outlet (I recommend a covered switch). If you ever need to dump that PCs data just flip the switch and leave it on.

Seomthing like this would give you a great starting point at 1500 lbs of magnetic force.

If you really wanted to get fancy you could write up a quick little java/python app with an Arduino microcontroller and put it on your phone. So you could push a button anywhere you have cell service and automatically nuke your hdds. Or if you want to get even more fancy you could require a "check in" every X amount of time or have the magnet automatically start, although that's pretty extreme.

It's a Simplex lock. Not sure of the model. One of these things.

Get a security bar. It tucks under the door knob and braces against the floor. You can't open a door secured like that.

Door#2 Bigger Wrap around plate Door will need to re-drilled usually requiring Jig

Door#3 RnR

Find a reputable locksmith in your area, Google map his address to confirm it is an actual shop. not a mailbox store.

You wouldn't need a servo motor, just an electric strike for the door frame.

I highly doubt that the key thing will work in the Mustang without a huge investment, TBH. Almost all new cars nowadays already have an active RFID in the key, and adding another system to that would be a huge PITA. Yes, anything is possible, but I don't think it would be worth the expense.

I bought this and I highly recommend it. I believe it’s a much superior option compared to the most upvoted comment so far.

These work exceptionally well, but not cheap. Their support is awesome, but you probably wont need it.

*you'll need a core if you buy from that link.

A London Bar or similar will help reinforce the strike box. If you can find a four screw strike box it will screw into the jamb more securely, while a London bar will add additional strengthening to the entire jamb.

Mortise lock Just be sure of the backset before you order one. They are normally found on commercial storefont doors.
