These are the ones I'm wearing right now, but you can get them in all sorts of patterns

'Course! The socks are these ones (which I know look sketchy, but either they're working well for me or I'm suffering from a damn good placebo effect). The watch is this one (or, sort of. the watch itself is the same, but it has a velcro strap -- which is unexpectedly super helpful), and the scrubs are these (top and bottom) -- they've got the right amount and placement of pockets, they're comfortable, they come in a buttload of colours.

Glad to help! IMO Those As Seen on TV "Miracle Copper" Socks have almost no compression so I find them beyond useless, but these offer better compression and are actually cheaper (I'm sure there might be even better compression socks in a higher price range but I'm frugal : ))

I also like that they are in a multipack because you probably don't want to wear the same socks more than 1 day without washing and probably won't have time to wash and dry the 1 pair between days. These have even more compression: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072S43822/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . With all of them make sure to get the right size (for example I have wide feet and larger calves so I tend to go for large or mens).

Not sure the details of the cause of your pain but one of my instructors wears ballet slippers with grips (sort of an oxymoron). Modifying your foot position and maybe how high your lift your heels may help too.

I’ve only been wearing them since November (broken legs) and I’ve tried a bunch from amazon. My favorite are blitzu , they are pretty light weight and very cheap.

u/Uther-Lightbringer · 2 pointsr/ehlersdanlos

Yeah, they definitely help but I'm not a big fan of the ankle high ones as I feel like they just make my feet feel better and my calves/knees feel worse. So I wear the over the calf high ones and they're pretty fantastic.

I have a few pairs of these that I got on sale awhile back, I find the 20-30mmHg to be the best level for myself but you can always try out other levels of compression as well. Some may prefer lighter compression, some heavier.

I use these ones—just pay attention to sizing as well as compression level (there are different levels of compression so you may want to ask your doctor which one would be appropriate for you)

People have sent me links to "fashionable" compression socks (what, these taupe ones aren't sexy enough for you?!?)-- but all the ones I've seen have been pretty low compression.

Edit: here's a random Amazon link of the kind of thing I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/MUMS-Graduated-Compression-Moderate-Stockings/dp/B072HSQS7S/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1527523426&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=compression+socks+women&psc=1

I doubt Dom is actually wearing stockings, but these do exist. Completely scanning the product description, it sounds like it's carefully worded not to say they're medical-grade. It mentions them being for exercise, people who work on their feet, etc.

So I'm not 100% sure if you mean the double layered socks or the compression socks (Both can be used for diabetic patients.) However there is a wide range of them available on Amazon

u/SnittingNexttoBorpo · 1 pointr/POTS

There are some compression socks on Amazon that are high enough compression (20-30 mmHg), decently priced, and not too ugly. I also have primary lymphedema and they do a good job keeping the swelling under control while I'm on my feet all day. This is one good set: https://www.amazon.com/Compression-Socks-Unisex-Medical-Stocking/dp/B06XWRLDLM/ref=lp_14578644011_1_1?srs=14578644011&ie=UTF8&qid=1523061791&sr=8-1&th=1

I bought these for a 6 hour flight and have been happy with them. I’ve worn them across country a few times.

Came here to say they sound like compression socks that you can buy just about anywhere. I have POTS & Lupus, and they are medically prescribed. They have helped a lot with my chronic pain. My favorite brand of compression socks is Vim & Vigr

I got these for my cross-country vacation. Super comfortable, and a bunch of compliments!

I've found that compression sleeves help a lot. (Link)

I use these compression socks for recovery, but I didn't like how they made my feet feel during runs so I run in the sleeves and wear whatever socks I want, then put on the compression socks after my shower.

And get a foam roller. I've been through several and only the Tiger Tail works well for me. I take it in the truck for my long runs, and use it during warm-up and cool-down, and then a couple times over the next day or so to rub out any remaining soreness.

But no matter what gear you use to help, nothing replaces a good warm-up, and a good cool-down with stretches.
