Paint it with this, then give the neighbor kids this, and let them go nuts. New livery every week.

[srs] They're not colors I would think of when someone says pastel. The swatches, however, look like pastel chalks used for art so there's that. :p

Thanks! For posterity (anyone from Google): I just bought Crayola sidewalk chalk and it's a no-go. It writes super-rough on a slate blackboard and doesn't come off easily.

I just emailed the Harvard administrative staff for the building in the video, so I'll post an update if they reveal their chalky secret.

Here are the specific products I used:
Masonite, Chalk Markers, and Chalkboard Paint. I also used a slightly different color set of sidewalk chalk like this that I bought at a drugstore. If I had it to do again, I might spend some time looking for a thinner Masonite board.

ETA: I realize my bar for "sustainable" is likely lower than some, but I live in the DC area, so my main concern was reusability. It's also worth noting that Masonite board was designed as a way to reuse wood wasted at factories back in the day (although Masonite the company doesn't make masonite the material anymore, so I have no idea how the material is sourced now.)

We do outdoor toys for Easter! I think I'm just putting together one big basket for both boys(3yo and 11mo). I know I'm doing a bubble machine, chalk, a magnifying glass for looking at outdoor stuff, play doh, bug book To go with the magnifying glass.

I just thought of it - what about chalk stencils? Most people don’t have them but they’re cool! You could get a big pack to divide up, or if you’re crafty make your own very inexpensively.

My kid goes through sidewalk chalk like lightning, even when we catch it before its gets left out in the rain. I've found that either this or this are the best prices.

I used soft pastel chalks

https://www.amazon.com/Pastels-Drawing-Scrapbooking-Assorted-Colors/dp/B000BKYB2M

and hairspray so that the thing woudl actually adhere to the figure

If you try to create a new product page for an existing item it does warn you, and you could probably fight your way through, fudging things here and there and create a completely new product page. However that would like this and this. See the first one if the actual product page, anyone selling one of these items should list it there. The second one is someone attempting to exploit the system in order to get the buy box, now someone has joined that second listing as well and ultimately they'll end up being merged into the same product page. it looks like they ended up listing it in a different sub category to get away with it.

What you're experiencing is the same seller appearing twice on one product page. Its the same ASIN, I'm not convinved it effects the Buy Box or that it was intentional. I really think its some of sort of unintended function, maybe something to do with unreleased items or backorders or who knows what.

My grandmother is very dear to me. We have our ups and downs, but she's the only family member who was ever proud of me. She used to come hear me sing at competitions, and come to my nerdy school stuff and watch me be in AcaDec and geography bee and stuff. She came to my high school graduation. My wedding picture is on her mantle, and is the only picture there.

As a result, she's the only family member I put any effort into talking to. I try to avoid antagonizing (we have some major issues that make it hard for us to talk sometimes -- like she is very adamant that I need to go to a church thing to become Catholic again and learn not to be bisexual and whatnot). On Mother's Day she's going to come over for breakfast in my new house and be the first person in my family to see it.

I'd really like this chalk which is on my main wishlist. Mouthie gave me chalkboard contact paper that I have project ideas for!

Have them draw on the sidewalk or driveway with chalk! Non permanent, colorful, keeps them entertained, and gets their imagination going. To clean it up have a water balloon fight!

u/Gravelsteak · 1 pointr/thatHappened

I’ve done something similar. It’s not good 3D, mind you, but a bunch of kids did it. There’s even chalk for it.

u/derbylilsecret · 1 pointr/pics

it looks like shes's using colored pastel chalks in the imgur photo. They're incredibly easy to blend, like these.

u/PsycheTrance · 1 pointr/Gunpla

Used something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Pastels-Drawing-Scrapbooking-Assorted-Colors/dp/B000BKYB2M

I did one coat of Flat then applied the black soft pastel then sealed it with Flat topcoat again.

I forgot to add that I love using [Chalk Pastels] (http://www.amazon.com/Pastels-Drawing-Scrapbooking-Assorted-Colours/dp/B000BKYB2M) for this. This is the same exact thing as hair chalk, only 100x cheaper.
