THIS.

If you must hide your key near your house, hide it where no one would even think of looking, like this rock.

Once it dries up, fill that whole area with dirt (graded away from house), tamp it all down, lose the bricks, and put something like this in there:

I don’t think it matters, but fwiw, here are the links to what I use for mine:

It turned out really pretty - the “pebbles” are more like “stones”. They’re all pretty flat and probably 1”-1.5” in diameter and are polished. I think polished or not simply depends on your aesthetic preference. One order of those stones perfectly fills the tray. Three 6” pots easily fit on it and the humidity at the lip of those pots is consistently 60-70%.

I just got my very first desk at my new job. I have been trying to set it up and came across this cat fairy garden because who doesn’t want a cat fairy garden in their desk?

Personally feel they shouldnt be allowed to be red. At first glance they look identical.

I bought a Hot Rod for my first tube amp a few years ago—mostly because I didn't really know what I was getting into. I haven't really had the money to replace it yet. (OK, fine, to be fair, I have, but I have other things I want to buy too.)

I've managed to get a sound I like out of it—even for my chimey 12-string. Here's how I do it:

  1. Plug only into channel 2.
  2. Keep my drive as clean as possible (1 or 2).
  3. Use a volume box in the effects loop (the pre/post jacks on the center-right of your controls).
  4. (Or build that box—it's a ridiculously simple project, but when I eventually rebuild mine, I'm going with a 25k ohm audio pot, not the 100k I used)
  5. Crank the master volume and use the volume box to keep your volume reasonable.
  6. Use an overdrive pedal the way god intended—slap your shit straight into full drive, but with some actual control over your tone.
  7. the Monoprice compressor pedal is surprisingly perfect for adding just a bit of bite to your tone without appreciably increasing the drive.
  8. Just get used to constantly apologizing for your amp's uncontrollable volume and bad-gnarly drive.

Oh man... Do I have to put the most expensive item. You asked for it. :)

  1. This

  2. I don't want it. I just put it on my ridiculously expensive list because I think it's hilarious to have it on there. Once it stops being funny to me, I'm going to take it off.

  3. I would be incredibly okay if I never get this item. I couldn't imagine owning the thing.

Okay so this is over budget so I'm not entering the contest itself, but I do want to share the item because it's very cool!

It's .... THIS!

u/missgumichan · 2 pointsr/ghibli

Sure! And a warning. They have the wrong face and the cat bus and small totoros are the wrong color. I am only using the best ones for my things.
I also glued the foliage I had on his umbrella. You could easily repaint them with the right materials though!

Sorry for the ugly link (I'm on my phone and grabbed the first one I found) but I think this is what you're looking for. It's cheap, the individual concrete pieces are small so they won't crack like a slab would, and it looks nice enough. Use paverlock sand in between to prevent weeds from growing in joints, or put in dirt and plant a ground cover like creeping thyme. You don't need to do a ton of soil prep for this, but try to get it level.

Edit: just to clarify, this is cheaper and will last some years but it's not going to come out perfect and it will fall to nature faster than a traditional patio done correctly would. But I think this will do alright. I've done paver patio the right way by hand (700 sq ft solo) and it came out great. I also did it the wrong way in the garden because I had spare block and didn't want to spend effort and money on it. The garden path is fine - hasn't cracked or shifted in two years, but it's definitely wonky. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to share the differences between the projects and my perception of the durability of each.

Picture would be helpful... but if I'm just going off your description, I'm inclined to say, "foam the hell out of it." Use the Loctite 2x stuff... smaller voids than the Great Stuff and sets up firmer.

This is assuming that I'm interpreting your description correctly: that the pipe has augered out the spot the it passes through the wall of the house from movement when the pump kicks on. If you're talking about washout where the water discharges out of the pipe, put down one of those plastic splash blocks you lay under downspouts, or throw a paver down.
