I'm not sure if you'd find it comfortable or how your back of the chair cat would react to losing their spot though!
Consider looking for a second hand ergonomic chair. Bought a Steelcase Leap v2 on kijiji for under $200 and I love it
I buy a lot of chairs for our office, and you can get some low priced ergonomic chairs from amazon, that aren't expensive or garbage:
https://www.amazon.com/Modway-Articulate-Black-Office-Chair/dp/B006IY89ZA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1495220294&sr=8-10&keywords=ergonomic+chair
it is. thanks for providing an informed recommendation
I need a new desk chair, which is pretty important to me because I work from home. I've already been to my local university surplus several times and I wasn't impressed with their selection. I'm thinking about something ordering something online like the Amazon Basics executive chair. I don't even know what I'm looking for, to be honest. Or maybe a mesh back chair like this? Honestly, I'm pretty clueless. I would love suggestions on either specific chairs, or what to look for in general.
Thank you, you can get it here: Modern Dark Brown Wood 4-Panel Open Bookcase Room Divider, 4 Tier Display Shelf Rack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073WPW4J9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MikUDb0VDRJ7X
Miss me with that cheap shit.
I personally look for a desk to hold two 27 inch monitors and a long mouse pad. I don’t really like the keyboard trays cause I move my hand around with my mouse and wouldn’t want it to be on a different level than my keyboard (if that makes sense).
I like a basic desk. No shelves/storage stuff. I have tried those before and it was a mess. One thing I invested in so I wouldn’t have my desk holding my PC was a PC caddy. Cost around $10. Incredibly helpful so you have maximum desk space. I got mine off Amazon. Also I sit on my legs A LOT and personally hate sitting “normal” when gaming. So I got a little foot hammock so I can have my feet off the ground and stretched out and comfortable.
Here are the things I mentioned in my post:
Desk: Zinus Modern Studio Collection Soho Desk / Table / Computer Table https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073R1DJYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_nfXRaU1wwmQHS

Caddy : Adjustable Width ATX Computer Case Caddy Stand with 5 Caster Roller Wheels Foldable Flexible https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_53fuUKihOAwjL
This one. But I got it "Like New" for about half that price on amazon from MadisonSeating. Best purchase I've ever made in the last 10 years besides my computer of course.
> Please link to the chair she bought you
They don't have it on their site anymore but it was an armless beast like this but it was wider and made worse. Again no thick padding and the legs and casters were plain black plastic
> What chair do you use now?? I also have a very comfortable chair (like, you sit on it for 2+ hours and it feels like you were never sitting at all!!).
The chair I had was a Serta chair believe it or not. It had tons of thick padding and was crazy comfy. It looked a lot like this but the model I had they don't make anymore I'm assuming from not seeing it for sell
Amazon sells something similar: Southern Enterprises Spine Book Tower - Metal Floor Shelves, Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001QOGKSA/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apip_BRvZEvgrMdEhO
I have them. See here: http://i.imgur.com/tFqH0yo.jpg
If you read the following essay "Prisoner of Shelves" http://www.city-journal.org/2008/18_1_diarist.html you'll see he got the idea from Sara Marks from Vanity Fair.
Anyway, these are the ones I've bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QOGKSA
Thanks. Everyone is always posting those IKEA desks, but they just weren’t the size I wanted. This is 72” x 30”. Kinda big, but I got room for lots of stuff.
Bush Business desk.
Honestly, its probably not worth it. Materials alone will likely far exceeded the cost of a new chair, even using fake leather its probably still going to cost more just buying the fabric, let alone time and effort. A whole new chair like that will probably only cost ~$100.
Here's one for $80 that's on sale right now. Office Depot/Staples/Office Max are a good place to go try them out and fine a comfortable one if buying online is not your favorite.
Steelcase chairs?
https://www.amazon.com/Bush-Furniture-WC31830-03K-Cabot-Shaped/dp/B005EOL812
Get a mesh computer chair and mount that underneath it. The only thing worse than PC overheating is ... well.. you know.
Try to find a used Steelcase Leap V2
https://www.amazon.com/Steelcase-Leap-Fabric-Chair-Black/dp/B006H1QYBA
or Areon locally
I was able to find a refurbised Steelcase Leap V2 for $350. Yes its expensive but I've been using the same chair for 6 years and it looks brand new. Higher quality chairs are built to last a long time.
I went with the v2 over the Areon because at least to me it was more comfortable, the leading edge of the areon would cut circulation from my leg.

I still haven't decided - the DX Racer Iron Series is my favorite so far. I really want something in white + green, though.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D7PG5EO is my runner-up. $400 cheaper, which would be nice.
I know I didn’t include a copy of Windows but here’s a possible idea ?

This is what I got. It is a chair within a chair so when you lean forward the secondary support leans with you supporting your lower back and it gently pushes you into a good posture for your back.
It is a little pricey but I have some pretty bad spine issues and this helps me a lot and offers support when you lean forward. It comes with an extra option for the half seat that supports when you lean forward, one thick padded firm support that you can slide off if it is too big. The seat cushion also tilts when you lean a little to force your spine somewhat upright.
The other back in motion chairs are a little cheaper but IMO not as comfy or supportive.
How cheap we talking? I bought this chair off of Amazon for like $40 and it's amazing.

i have this and find it makes fantastic coffee. Took me a good few weeks to get the hang of things though. I have also included a link to the grinder I use too...
Of course you will be told to spend more etc and anything in this range is shit blah blah blah. However, I can assure you a great cup of coffee can be had with this equipment.

THIS ONE. Sitting in it right now.
I use this one. I like it because it has flip-up arm rests.
Office Star Prado L-Shape Workstation Desk in Black
Used to own this desk a few months ago before I moved. Admittedly this one is a lot heavier than the old one, so, it's not going anywhere. That being said, I do enjoy the extra desk space it provides over the previous one.
I don't really know that much about chairs, I just was in the market a while back and I tend to go WAY overboard with research. :)
That chair you have is about the exact same one I had, except yours is still in much better condition. Mine would sink and the arms were cracking. I also had a very uncomfortable sunken seat cushion, I had to sit on a pillow.
Yeah, those hjellegjerde chairs look nice and comfy, I don't know that I'd be able to force myself to actually sit up in one for hours...hell I'd be napping in the thing at the desk within a half-hour, probably.
As far as sticking to a high-back/leather/executive pillowy chair? I think your options will be limited in the adjustability department. You won't be getting gliding seat-pans or anything. Most of what I saw at a reasonable (under $500) price that was actually worth buying got you flip-up arms...and that's it. Those, by nature, are just "sit back or recline" chairs. You'll have to decide if you're happy with that style or not, because that's what they are.
I did see this cheaper Staples sold (I think) Serta with adjustable arms. So, they're out there, but at $200, you're not going to find an actual quality leather chair.
Serta
Now, if you start looking into the "racing chairs" style of leather chairs...those are not the same thing. A little less bed of cushion and more chair. Though, I'd argue there's always a better option at every comparable price-point than those (IMHO) horrendous looking "racing chairs". Maybe if I was 19 in a dorm room...I don't know.
Other than adjustable arms/recline/tilt, those racing chairs aren't doing much to justify the cost. You're also not finding an actual leather one for under $600. There are plenty of comparable vinyl/pleather $300 high-back/quasi-task chairs that'll do the same and much more. I didn't really look into them, as I wasn't buying one...but, I saw a fair bit of them in the $250-$500 range.
A bit higher and there are things in this shape, I have no experience with it though.
Leather ergos----
Another...I'd imagine, at that price-point I'd already be looking towards HMs/Steelcase/Humans...even if used. Proper leather chairs ain't cheap. I know I'd personally either go real or look into different materials...I'll never do the fake leather again.
Another option may be a fabric seat with the vinyl back-rest, if that interests you. In that scenario, you may see ones that will have an adjustable seat pan and separate tilt/recline/raise-able back portion. It may seem arbitrary, but, the ability to completely move, adjust, and lock the seat and back independently is a HUGE deal. You're fine without it...but to be able to dial in that half-inch of your legs hanging or your butt/lower-back fitting perfectly takes a relatively comfy chair into "like a glove" territory. Tilting is a good substitute, but doesn't compare, it becomes a tug-of-war between your upper and lower body's comfort.
I have no experience with the cheap $150-$200 racing chairs... I can't imagine they are good at all.
And I don't know why anyone would buy a genuine leather $600-800 racing chair...you're deep into Humanscale/Hermon Miller/Steelcase territory at that point, even approaching leather ones. If they like them, hey great, but it doesn't make sense to me at all.
Seems like walking past a well-crafted Porsche or Aston Martin to buy a $65,000 "high-end" Mustang. Different strokes I guess.
TL:DR- Chairs are tough to figure out. I went through 2 weeks of stress and mulling over options. Go sit in a LOT of them. Buy one with a good return policy and warranty. If used, make sure you love it...not just like it.
Go in with the perspective you're buying something you'll live with for at least 5 years, not just replacing your seat...spend and plan accordingly.
> cheap burr grinder
It's a false burr electric grinder that I get downvotes for when recommending it for. Despite this, I use it everyday and it produces a great consistent grind, suitable for french presses/aeropress/auto drip. - KG79
A good cup of tea!, a tie/belt organizer, and an L-shaped desk! (I love my L-shaped desk and I could never do without one!)
I desperately need this desk. The only surface in my house I can use for working/writing/drawing/computing is my coffee table. As you can imagine, it's grown quite cluttered.
If I somehow win, I'd really like any of the songbooks off my Ocarina-themed wishlist, or even this strawberry pendant ocarina would be fantastic. :D
Thanks for the contest! I want to soak in a hot tub!
I'm a really big fan of this chair and have stocked an office of programmers with it to ensure everyone is comfortable. The 'Black Leather' is the way to go because the black mesh will end up hurting your elbows if you rest on them for long periods of time. For ~$100 Prime, it's the best chairs I've gotten in years and I'd continue recommending them for extended periods of computer time.

I really dig the black/glass/wood look, so you may not like same desks I like.
So I looked at a bit of stuff and made sure you could get the most expensive desk on that site when I was looking at it. The monitor I have add is that isn't on the PC part picker list is for productivity. The one on the PC part picker list is Moe of a gaming monitor. I choice to got for ergonomics rather then style, but you might like how it looks too. Also added windows 10 pro to the parts list. All in all, this is what I came up with.

I got cloth instead of leather because my cat likes to jump on the back of my chair when I'm gaming and his claws would totally fuck the cover up. If you don't have a cat, check this out... It's pretty much the same chair in leather for $100. I still recommend getting the caster wheels.
Wife got this for me last year for X-mas. It fits a lot.
Based on reviews (and I'm assuming you're in the US)
Higher end of your budget.
Lower end of your budget.
I link this every now and again on here, it's basically the US Department of Labors guide to giving your office workers seats that don't fuck up their backs and necks and make you liable for millions: https://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/computerworkstations/components_chair.html
I'd personally recommend something like this. You don't need to pay that much though, usually you can get one that was lightly used in an office for a few years for about half that price online.
Honestly those gaming chairs seem to tick all the boxes on the OSHA, I'd absolutely say go for one. Only reason I'm not using one is because I'm a grown ass man.

> one of those kneeling chairs
TIL! I will have to look into some solutions for my posture.
This is the chair I got few months back. It's so damn comfy. No leather, no gaming marketing bs, just great ergo chair. Easy to assemble too. Office Depot/Max carry this brand too and sometimes offer discount like 5% for store pickups I think. It decent priced, actually I think its kinda cheap compared to many ergo chair. Anyway I would recommend going to the store and sitting on a few before buying, thats how I made the decision on this :)

I've owned the Aeron before, now own the Leap v2. I also sit on the Aeron all day at work.
Out of these two, I prefer the Leap much more. The leap is just more comfortable and fits better (despite the Aeron being offered in 3 sizes to the Leap's 1 size).
The build quality of the leap is the one drawback. The seat bottom and armrests have a little bit of play, which is quite annoying considering the cost.
This guy's ("Jimmy K") review is spot on:

Yep! Here it is. I just didn't put the drawers and shelf in.
I purchased this desk from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006RSQG/
Took me forever to find what I wanted, which was just a basic, sturdy, and large desk for a reasonable price. This desk fits all of those things. It's very heavy, and has lots of leg room to stretch when sitting for a while. And for $200, it has been a great purchase for me anyway.
Ah, I missed looking at that things.

However, from Steelcases own site, this appears to be legit; yet I still see mentions of Madison Seating. Frustrating.
Desk cheapo and there's no way to move it once assembled. pretty solid and doesn't look bad from 10ft.

I'm 6'5" with lower back issues so I got this chair. It's not as tall as some chairs I've used but it is by far the most comfortable.

[Here's my setup] (http://puu.sh/aOmW5.jpg)
4:3 monitor is my second monitor for work. Got the desk from [amazon] (http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Office-L-Shape-Desk-Mahogany/dp/B001AMMDQG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1407790698&sr=8-5&keywords=l+shaped+desk), needed an 'L' shaped desk so I could use two computers at the same desk.
so, somewhat regular desk with 2x4 on the bottom?
Edit: depending on lumber prices, might be faster/cheaper to make one yourself.

This is close to the one that I bought 2 years ago. I am 6'6" and work from home as well. It works great! https://www.amazon.com/Bush-Furniture-WC31830-03K-Collection-L-Desk/dp/B005EOL812/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1469460256&sr=8-6&keywords=l+desk

I bought this chair two years ago and it's still like new. It's the most comfortable thing I have ever sat in. I have no doubt this is perfect for you.

Here's the desk I use at home. It's the best desk I've had. Solid build, easy to clean, haven't gotten a single scratch after 1+ year of use. There's enough room for my nzxt h440, 2 monitors, a mic boom, and i still have a ton of extra room for whatever else I could possibly need.

My X34 is sitting on this desk. It's very solid and easy to assemble, if you can manage to drag the 120lb box where you need it. Prices on Amazon change frequently for these desks, I got mine for $180 a couple months ago.

Yes sorry I was just coming back to edit it in.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003FGWY1O/ref=twister_B009CLOF0O
Also note that I did not install the back partition. That would make the desk silly small.
I actually like the small desk, because my desk tends to get messy when I have a ton of open space.
The one's at the office are cheap ones - they look like this.
I don't have one but know someone who has one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Office-Star-Synchro-Support-Managers/dp/B01EHQ5GNS/ and compares it to the Aeron chair.
Not too fine as I use a metal filter, the Able Standard filter.
At home I use a Delonghi burr grinder (https://www.amazon.co.uk/DeLonghi-KG79-Professional-Burr-Grinder/dp/B002OHDBQC) and have it set to almost the most course setting (say, 8/10, 10 being most course)
This looks stupid amounts of comfy. I might get it for myself come payday.
How about this one. A little above what I have atm but could be worth saving
Just buy this chair. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHQ5GNS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_G0wgDbKT13GBX
This is it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AY94Y3G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_tC81AbPMY7RHR
Looks a lot like this with the monitor stand removed.
Bush Business Furniture Series C 72W x 30D Office Desk in Hansen Cherry
This thing is a beast so if you get it, the parts are like 156 Lbs in the box (or whatever that is in non-American) so be prepared to disassemble the box to carry piece by piece up stairs or enlist some strong poor soul to help
Amazon Basics also has a copy of that chair, it's what I have and they look identical.
Would it be worth switching out [this chair] (https://smile.amazon.com/Modway-Articulate-Black-Office-Chair/dp/B006IY89ZA?sa-no-redirect=1) I got for $45 after tax for this one. Main differences seems to be a head rest and mesh butt pad instead of a foam or whatever butt pad.

I game for hours 8hrs or more everyday. Here’s a great 88.01$ chair from amazon. I bought recently works great.
Flash Furniture Mid-Back... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KUPS4HG?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Have you ever tried a kneeling chair? My boss has one and swears by it for her lower-back issues!

I should be able to have the BVM on one corner and a PC setup on the other. I can get one of those plastic mats and be able to sortof swivel from the PC to the CRT.
Yeah I figured that out about the leather!
Mesh-back seems pretty good, which is actually what I have on my current chair, but the place where you site is only half mesh and the other half is dying :/
Not sure if full-mesh chair are durable?
I was looking at Ikea MARKUS and some of that kind too
Honestly a really good start!
I agree that a plant would work perfectly, this setup is screaming for some color.
Switch the placement of the TV and desk (watch TV in bed, homie!), and add a curtain over all the windows (especially where the TV would go, to avoid sun burning your eyes out when you wake up)
And swap out the black chair for a brown desk chair.

I ordered this about 3 months ago. It's been great so far. Extremely sturdy, and very large.
Bush Furniture Cabot L Shaped Computer Desk in Espresso Oak https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005EOL812/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_1qRKBbTF6HY6C
yeah, the space is a little tight. I usually find furniture/spaces have to be multifunction in tighter spaces. Desks = desks + TV media storage.
TV = second screen for either of the desktops + a TV
Good thing is that your desks are only 2ft deep though.
Maybe one of these alternative chairs or stoools for seating.
or one of these TV wall mounts that allows movement forward, so you can just bring the TV out when seated in the couch.
Are either of these any good?
De'Longhi
Krups
This is a great chair, had it for 3 years now... padding and leather still in good shape.
http://www.amazon.com/Alera-Fraze-High-Back-Swivel-Leather/dp/B004C1RULU
The padding is firm though, not sure if you care (I don't). Still you'll be hard pressed to find a leather chair this cheap and this good elsewhere. If you see the 5* review on Newegg that's my review, I still stand by this chair.
The encore doesn't seem to be available where I live. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
This is one I see commonly used, what's the consensus here?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DeLonghi-KG79-Professional-Burr-Grinder/dp/B002OHDBQC/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
I have a filing cabinet I really like, however it is just barely over the clearance height to fit under the desk I currently have. I’m wondering if I can raise it somehow by something like ⅝ inch so it can fit under. The thing is, my desk doesn’t have legs, it’s one of those desks with a metal frame and the entire rectangles on the left right side act as the “legs”. Photos on Amazon:
Zinus Jennifer Modern Studio Collection Soho Desk / Table / Computer Table, Natural https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073R1DJYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IX3RDb6JTW18N
There are some risers out there where I can still fit it in, but I don’t like how they add big round things to the corners of my desk in a room that has very clean lines, and also I’m worried about the unsupported weight in the middle of the metal bar that would otherwise be touching the floor. I’m wondering if there is some kind of rubber anti-slip padding that isn’t sold in a pack for a standard four-leg desk, but as a sheet that I can cut, especially if they’re black? That way I can cut it exactly to size the bottom bars on both sides and just line both the bars with an adhesive, make it basically invisible, and then fit my filing cabinet under it. Let me know!!
Leather seat, mesh back.
This chair is super comfortable. The arms pop up, which is nice. I added a metal base (I'm not a small person) and rollerblade wheels to mine. Every couple of years I'll replace the chair, but transfer the metal base and wheels to the new one.

Yeah, I'd only be getting a height adjustable one because I can't find anything else in that simple shape. I guess have found a very small handful, but they are usually in a very brown wood color, which wouldn't go with my home office at all or just too small. This one would be perfect if it just had an option for a black or grey top to it.
Hi,
if you want top, but expensive chair you should go for Steelcase (http://www.amazon.com/Steelcase-Leap-Fabric-Chair-Black/dp/B006H1QYBA) or Herman Miller (http://www.amazon.com/Aeron-Task-Chair-Herman-Miller/dp/B0014YGGKE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1451676984&sr=8-3&keywords=herman+miller). Its really expensive for chair, but you dont need to buy new chair ever again.
If you want something cheaper Ikea Markus is fairly popular and not bad especially for the money (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60309732/#/70261145).
The middle ground in my opinion would be some ergonomic chair from brand like Office Pro (or your regional equivalent) - for this your best shot is just go to the chair store, try chairs in your price range, sit, lean and test and than take your favourite.
Personally, Im not fan of "gaming chairs" I think you can get better chair in same price range, when you go for office or ergonomic chair.
I hope this helped and wasnt too long and boring to read!
If your interested in that style amazon has this one listed on prime, seems to get favorable reviews and is about $100 less.
This is the one I have. Great deal, sturdy, for being made out of MDF, and receives consistently good reviews. I believe you can also get it with free shipping if you go through Target, which is where I got mine. Otherwise, I'd go with Ikea's mix and match desks. They're great especially if you have a certain size or shape you need.
Ok so now that you have told me you are from US... here are few similar desks on amazon.
Desk 1
Desk 2
Desk 3
Desk 4
Try IKEA too, they might have better options. All the Best building your Battlestation. Do share pics.
Thanks purpose built to be a studio/stream room in a corner or my basement. Just wanted a little room like this. Came out nice. The desk is this one.
My friend gets huge back pain, and he swears by his kneeling chair. You might want to take a look. Something like this.
http://www.amazon.com/RTA-Products-RTA-3806-L-Shaped-Desk/dp/B001AMMDQG/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1420230680&sr=8-7&keywords=L+shaped+desk
Thanks for recommendation. I'm just not sure if I like bass all that much. I listen to music very little. I would use them for playing videos games (primarily FPS) and watching YouTube, hulu, and Netflix. So I'm planning on going with the The Shure SRH1540 ($499) when I save up.
All my parts should be here by Thursday.
Amazon a day later sold the video card and SSD card cheaper right after I bought those parts -_-
Also I was looking at computer chairs. Needed a 2nd option on this. I can only spend $210 on this. I know you are no chairologist expert but... I was looking at these two...
Edit:[ I'm think I'm going to be getting this one... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Q5XTE8//ref=cm_sw_su_dp?tag=gamingacc-20
I like the way the leather ones look but it's not real leather. In the near future I'm going to be sitting at my desk for many hours everyday so I need to it last and be comfortable. Looks okay but yea. You Have any input? ]
Few others I looked at...
Go to a local staples/walmart and try some out to get a feel for your preferences. There are things to consider like style, do you want something that goes in a corner like this http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Edison-3-Piece-Contemporary-Glass/dp/B00166HC9E/ref=lh_ni_t or is space an issue so something like this might be better http://www.amazon.com/South-Shore-Axess-Collection-Black/dp/B003FGWY1O. Right now I have something like this http://www.amazon.com/Target-Marketing-Systems-Berkeley-Computer/dp/B00200KD5U and il be upgrading to something like the first desk I posted, the under desk keyboard thing really sucks for gaming for me. hope this helps
Do you think this desk would be good for gaming?

It had the best reviews of anything that I saw in that price range. Not to much of a pain to assemble either.
Recommended to me by Louis Rossman: Comfy Mesh chair Shame amoozon doesn't ship to my country so I'll have to keep searching...
I've really liked the chair I got off Amazon.
It's held up extremely well so far and is still comfortable after being in it for 12 hours. It also only took 10 min or so to set up out of the box, which was awesome!
The only thing I might suggest to add along with it would be a foot rest or something to keep ya the most comfortable while studying for long periods.
My office has $1000 aeron chairs and these chairs
They are pretty big and comfortable and alot people prefer them to the more rigid aeron chairs due to the seat cushion.
Gaming chairs, I've heard mixed things about. I for sure want to purchase one in the future to try them out to see if what people say is true or not.
This is the chair I own but I wish it had more padding in the seat. It's not a gaming chair obviously but I've usually good for about 4-5 hours before I need to get up. I have the back tilted a little bit as that's more comfortable with my rods but it keeps my posture in check for sure since I am still able to slouch.
It's really hard to find something without sitting down in them for a bit :\ Everything in stores was pricey or that 'executive' style which I've only heard negative things about for the back.
Here is the link, https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00006RSQG/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought it off amazon it was real easy to assemble and no complains so far.
just bought a new Serta chair because my current chair is giving me all kinds of lower back problems heres a link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EUU5GFK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_abui_detailpage_o00_s00
I was in exactly the same boat a few weeks ago, getting the same advice: save up a bit more.
Sometimes that's not possible.
I plucked for this bad boy, I use it for pour over, and so far, so good.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002OHDBQC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1415228856&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165
You can't go wrong for 35 quid.
Alera Fraze High-Back Swivel/Tilt Chair.
it was on amazon, shipped for $303, i looked at thousands of desks on amazon and figured this one was the best value!! i remember the delivery haha that was a pain had a shitload of cardboard on the side of my house for months (looks like the price went up since I ordered 2 years ago -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UHM6VS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Then get one of these with the other $100.
I have not. The PC is quite far away, on the left hand side of my desk. The hub acts not only as more USB slots that I normally wouldn't have, but also as a way to bridge the distance between the mouse and PC. I think the cord on the mouse may be long enough to do so though, so maybe I'll try that.
Do you think a kneeling chair would help all of that?
edit
The answer is a resounding NO.
thanks for the amazon link, looks like it is priced relatively low according to camelcamelcamel.com so I might just get one for myself!

Can I suggest you want something similar to a filter coffee if you went to Starbucks, similar to the kind of coffee you would get from mixing instant with water?
Filter coffee can be done as simply by using filters and pouring hot water on fresh grind. I'm currently looking at one of these because it's cheap, I don't have to watch it whilst it makes me coffee, and at that price you can afford a good grinder to go with it. I use the Delonghi Grinder as well, which comes to around £50 for a good cup of coffee each morning. That grinder will just at the finest setting get you espresso grind and around midway you'll find a good filter grind which is a bit coarser.
After that it's just buying good beans, grinding it, placing it in the filter and pressing the on button. It'll make your coffee in the morning and you're fine. If you don't want espresso your life is SO much easier.
Otherwise there are French Presses where your pour the grind in, add boiled water, wait three minutes, stir and plunge. (They even come in a travel variety so you can pour the water in, walk out and plunge as you're walking down the road).
There's a LOT of options and you'll get a lot of different opinions. There's a big hype about Aeropresses, and they're pretty cheap. Frankly I prefer electric filter makers like the Delonghi because it's simple and anything in the morning NEEDS to be simple for me, but it's completely your choice.
