If you are a dude, buy a male external catheter and a leg bag.

https://www.amazon.com/Freedom-Clear-Advantage-Aloe-Vera/dp/B00XTBSX56

^ These come in different girths. A little big is better than a little small, there are sizing guides on the web.

https://www.amazon.com/Drainage-Anti-Reflux-McKesson-Medi-Pak-Performance/dp/B01HDZ4TZG/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_121_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FDVF3G34BTJAGB5RW9MQ

If you do this, practice makes perfect. And make sure you trim all the hair in the area, you DO NOT want to get hair in that glue. Trust me on that.

For a rare occasion the leg bags work awesome, and you can clean them and reuse them. If you're going to do it all the time it makes more sense to drill a hole in the floor and run a tube through it.

Obviously this isn't medical advice or any recommendation on fit for purpose from anyone. But I would love to hear about your experiences if you try it out.

Same thing, but a lot cheaper ($0.12 each)!

Fellow new mom here, with two thoughts:

Not sure if they were readily available when you had your older son, but as /u/Aida_Hwedo noted below, puppy pads are the bomb for covering changing tables (and anything else you want to remain poop and pee free, like if you’re changing the diaper on your bed or couch or the floor). If you search amazon for “chux pad” (that’s the kind without the dog attractant smell, made just for humans), they can be SUPER cheap. These are my current favorite - its a pack of 100 for $15.58, and you can even use the same one several times if it happens to stay clean. Game changers, seriously.

Second, I had a fairly similar experience to yours. Extended family vaccine resistance, a bunch of physical and emotional stress, spiking blood pressure leading to a very sudden early delivery (we had a c-section on 30 minutes’ notice at 35 weeks), followed by a NICU stay, separation from the baby, and postpartum health issues (continued high BP and foot/leg swelling, and an incision infection). So I feel confident in saying that handling the level of shittiness you described in your post, along with bonus stress from FAB being a self-absorbed, self-righteous shithead, means that you’re a big damn hero. And you and your DH are both saints for not utterly eviscerating her. FAB can go choke on an entire damn pineapple.

Okay, now that my rage is out of the way - I want you to know that it will get better. Therapy helps (I ended up diagnosed with PPA, which honestly isn’t surprising, considering). Postpartum support groups help a lot too. But more than anything, it just takes time. We’re half a year out now, and things feel WAY different than they did in the first few weeks. I still use a pulse oximeter sock with my baby every time he sleeps (we use the Owlet), because it helps me relax knowing that an alarm will go off if he’s in trouble - I won’t accidentally miss it or sleep through it. You mentioned that you still use one yourself. I’ve found that babywearing helped a LOT with my anxiety, especially early on. Whatever you find that works for you, run with it. Take the damn hair dryer with you. (Ignore the trash blog; it was just the only one I could find with an excerpt of the story. The original post is much more interesting, but a whole lot longer.)

I hope that in time, you’re able to feel peace again, and settle in nicely with the new addition to your family. You did what you had to do, and went through hell to get your baby out safely. Your baby is here now, and safe. You are here, and safe. Your other son and your DH are here with you, and love you, and they’re safe. Nobody can take that away from you.

I’ll see if I can go find an extra-spiky pineapple for FAB.

I mean if you're on a tight budget and have only ever tried goodnites, then any store brand adult diaper is going to be a huge step up for you.

But if you want something that will take multiple 1 & 2's your going to need to look at M4's or higher. Any diaper is made better with booster pads so that could be a cheaper option for you to gain capacity without breaking the bank on something more premium like ABU's or Bellissomo.

u/JessicaCarter2016 · 3 pointsr/crossdressing

I was referring to a medical adhesive to use on the forms (https://www.amazon.com/Hollister-Medical-Adhesive-Sku-HOL7730/dp/B0011FWT34/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1483758101&sr=8-1&keywords=medical+adhesive). There are methods for creating cleavage with medical tape alone though. I personally never really liked the tape and went this route.

Amazon. Way more comfortable than the bathroom, and machine washable.

u/TheDetectiveConan · 3 pointsr/ABDL

Rearz - Latex Pants fit great, work better than any other plastic pants I have tried, and are comfortable while being worn. They are a bit annoying to put on and to a lesser extent take off compared to other types of plastic pants. You're supposed to use some talc/baby powder on the inside and on your thighs to put them on so they slide on easier and avoid catching your leg hairs. Once you get them on they work great, but they do take a minute or two to put on rather than the 10 seconds or so of the more common plastic pants. They don't have any seams, so there are no pressure points or ridges that catch things and they are entirely latex so no part will wick moisture into your bed or other furniture. I know they come in at least yellow or pink, but I don't know of any in this style with designs if that is important to you. They are entirely latex (or maybe artificial latex), so they should fit well with whatever body shape you are. I've had them for a few months and they haven't leaked yet and they have often caught liquid that came out of my diapers. You can find them elsewhere, but I got mine from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F5ZBVSM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Night training just takes a lot longer because of the need wake up from the urge to pee. For my son, we eventually used a bed wetting alarm. It seemed pretty effective. We only had to use it for a couple weeks. I think we used this one.

Well I feel that having your member wrapped up gives quite a bit more absorbency where you need it... Even if you fall out of the funnelish thing one of the videos shows there is still extra padding in the area. This also adds a ton of padding to the front of your diaper that feels amazing! I've only tried this with Abena abri-let maxi but the results are great!

And they're more for the Nostalgia feel although they are pretty effective they are very snug on the leg bands. Honestly I think plastic pants as they are nowadays are more effective but if you want something old school for fun I would recommend them they are not that much money. I would definitely order based on your waist size though I went a little bigger and the waistband is not exactly snug.

You could try the goodnites bedmats mats.

https://www.amazon.com/GoodNites-Disposable-Bed-Mats-Count/dp/B007E500KE/ref=sr_1_cc_1_a_it?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1466029492&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Goodnites+bedmats

Goodnites also has disposable pull ups for older children.

https://www.amazon.com/Goodnites-Underwear-Boy-Large-11/dp/B00IKGBTZG/ref=sr_1_19_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466029579&sr=1-19&keywords=Goodnites

They also offer a reusable underwear that uses a disposable insert.

https://www.amazon.com/GoodNites-Underwear-Nighttime-Protection-Disposable/dp/B00HJKP4QY/ref=sr_1_8_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466029579&sr=1-8&keywords=Goodnites

These all can be purchased at Walmart, target or any store really. Pampers also has under jams that are pull ups for older children and then of course each store will have their store brand bedwetting pull ups mileage may vary on those.

As always make sure to consult with a doctor to make sure there isn't an underlying cause for the bedwetting.

Seriously (don't laugh): buy them a TON of these:

http://www.amazon.com/NorthShore-Economy-Disposable-Underpads-Small/dp/B009XJ0AWW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1405462063&sr=8-4

Newborns/infants pee pretty much every time you try to change their diaper. This results in either icky dirty diaper pads or washing diaper pad covers constantly.

Flop one of these down on top of the diaper pad cover...or on top of the bed...and change the baby on top of it. When they pee (or projectile-poop, which they will), this catches it and you just scrunch it up and throw it away.

I swear -- these things singlehandedly got my SO and I through the first 6 months of our baby.

Oh, and these things are GREAT when you are out with the baby somewhere and have to change them in a most-likely-less-than-sanitary bathroom. Flop a couple down on the icky changing station, change the baby, and just throw them out.

Seriously -- they are lifesavers.

If he's day trained, maybe some nighttime "undies" would work? These Huggies ones worked really well for us. If your son is big enough, they might be worth a shot. My son was nowhere near the weight listed for the small but we rarely had leaks. Or if it's the papery feeling he doesn't like maybe cloth bedwetter pants? Though those can get pricey... (EDIT) I almost forgot, I did use cloth inserts in the Huggies undies also.

In the future, may I recommend Depend, Tena or maybe Molicare?

Sort of like how I mix my larger batchings.

I suggest pipette pumps. The glass pipettes can be a pain to use without them. Makes them easier to clean also. (They are cheaper than glass or plastic syringes/pipettes in the long run.) Or you could look into calibrated graduated cylinders. Pipettes are handy to have with larger batchings. Plus they have the long necks, to pull deep out of containers.

Here is what I use for my calibrated borosilicate glass: (If it is not lab calibrated, just do it yourself. Check the meniscus is correct, if not adjust it.)

  • pumps and pipettes 1-5-10ml
  • 10ml grad. Cylinder
  • 25ml grad. Cylinder
  • 50ml beaker
  • 100ml beaker
  • 250ml beaker
  • pyrex kitchen mixing bowl (about 2 quarts) - multi-purpose use.

A pro-tip for glassware and cleaning. You know it is clean. When clear water does not collect on it. It sheens off. The reason I like glass. No smells over time. Plus super easy to clean mid-mix. A bit of dish detergent laced water. Then rinse until clear water does not stick/pool to the sides of the glass.

Now for the paper towels. Plastic cling wrap is really good for larger areas. It enhances the paper towel's coverage, in case of spillage. Plus it's cheap. I have impermeable underpads. Which is about the same principle.

The pads make it much easier to clean up afterwards. You could get them at most pharmacies, but try and avoid the 22x35 versions. Unless your battle station is big enough. If there is a major spill, most pads handle more then you would have mixing at one time... Or what would spill, before reacting to correct it. No reason to toss them after every mix. So they go a very long ways per towel. So easier and cheaper for the long haul. Oh yeah, they work good with glass not 'tinking' on hard surfaces.

If you haven't met this glove yet... They make every other glove it's bitch for mixing.. they fit really good, chemical resistant, and most of all the tips hold slippery shit. Perfect for our needs mixing!! They can be gotten really cheap too. I don't use gloves because 100mg is dangerous. I use it, to keep my hands clean. In case of something getting on my mitts. I change out gloves and move on. (100mg is dangerous, hence why I use chem resist gloves.)

One thing for the last. I didn't see your "rubbermade" tub. Do you have one that holds all your supplies? If not, consider getting one. Keeping everything in there, unless you have immediate need of it.

Champion Blue Disposable Underpads (Chux) - you want to get something like these, saves so much on laundry when they decide they weren't done yet.

u/kat_loves_tea · 1 pointr/InfertilityBabies

We love love love our diaper genie. We full it up and have to empty it once a week so you may need two with twins. We also use the Target brand refill cartridges and they work fine. Also I have to recommend this and it sounds totally weird... So they sell disposable waterproof mats that go on your changing pad. They're expensive and dumb but the principle is fabulous. With babies, you do laundry A LOT especially since a mess on them (poop, vomit, pee, etc) can often mean a mess on blankets, sheets, or your clothes and changing pad covers are no exception. Instead of buying a bunch of covers we only have 2. Instead we bought these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000FD2AX2/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_1?colid=HQ6OMVTB777M&coliid=I1PC52LBX904ZD

We constantly have one of top of the changing pad to prevent a huge mess when changing her and it's saved us multiple times. We also keep a bunch in the car and put one down when we change her out and about because I'm a clean freak and don't want her touching strange surfaces like public bathroom changing areas.

u/closetdork · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

If Ebola does exist in your bathroom you wouldn't have lived to tell the tale.

Re e coli, as other responses say, keep the bathroom clean by disinfecting the surface. Or use one of these disposable liner / medical chucks to line your changing pad. Handy for when you go out and have to change your baby on one of those changing pads in the public bathroom too!

u/Arriabella · 1 pointr/breakingmom

Charmin used to a have a really cute potty training kit with stickers and things, now they just have http://www.charmin.com/en-us/tips-and-articles/potty-training-boys
What worked best for me was tons of praise when they used the potty. Oh good lord it got annoying, but eventually it worked. For furniture try http://www.amazon.com/Invacare-Reusable-Pads-1800cc-bariatric/dp/B005PFNVPQ?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
They are handy anyway (I keep them in the car and my seats are like new)
And the Potty Power movie...I still have the songs in my head a decade later, but it worked for my kids (even the autistic one)

u/pupdelta · 1 pointr/ABDL

The unnamed ones actually look like these diapers I ordered from Amazon a while back to see what they where. They don't resemble the pic on amazon but they do look just like these packs.

They're cloth and super low quality but what do you expect at 100. for $12.

u/WearingClouds · 1 pointr/ABDL

One thing I've been doing lately is buying cheap booster pads online. They are like $0.16 each so I put a couple in my diapers. When you wet, both booster pads swell up along with the diaper. This makes for a super fun experience!

u/DiDgr8 · 1 pointr/asktransgender

If there isn't a medical supply house nearby, you can order from Amazon.

As long as you don't have any "kinks" in the tubes, the urine should constantly drain into the bag. Do you have a statlock on your thigh to position the tube?

Just scrolling and saw this was recommended on another sub

u/tv1577 · 1 pointr/sex

This is the one I bought. Read all of the amazon reviews. There are lots of others on the market that may be as good. Mine broke after 3 months, but the company sent a free replacement via overnight delivery! Great customer service. Using it daily for a couple of months made a huge difference for me. It is really life changing to have a strong pelvic floor. Also, you may be able to avoid incontinence that many women experience related to weak pelvic floor muscles.

what worked temporarily for me was using some of my diabetes supplies. I had about 5 different colors of ear socks for my Flak 2.0 sunglasses and all of them looked crappy after years. it worked and lasted for probably around 2-3 weeks. they got a little tacky but nothing like it originally was. they're cheap enough to replace. YMMV.

I used Unisolve. It helps remove the adhesive on my insulin pump sites. I tried the hot water, alcohol, boiling them, dish soap and nothing removed how sticky they were. I tried this on a cotton ball and it worked.

Skin Tac is a liquid glue you brush on the skin and allow to partially dry before inserting an infusion set or sensor. It sticks very, very well and and insures your site will never fall off.

Personally, I use UniSolve to remove the sites. I gently wet the adhesive part of the site with it and wait about 30 seconds before pulling the site off. No muss, no fuss.

Best of luck. I know how frustrating it can be.

I'll add that I think my sleeping next to him helps out the process. He wakes up a second or two earlier and can hold in more of his pee.

Not sure what exactly you mean by the small rectangle ones (as these are rectangular, but not really small), but check out NorthShore Care’s booster pads. They’re the same as Bambino and ABU’s booster pads but for cheaper. I get the large size from them. NorthShore also carries a few other brands, and their comparison chart on this page is great!
