I'm gonna give you a straight answer. These are stuff I got when i went from 35k to 75k.

  1. Roomba if you already don't have one. Get the 960 at least. use the always available 20% off coupon from bedbathbeyond.com
  2. A decent new shower head if the one in your apartment is crappy. While in the bathroom get those inverted soap pumps you can attach on the wall. also recommend: curved shower curtain and new decent towels like from frontage.
  3. I see you are on bulking diet so a good chef knife if you dont have one already and a sous vide if your diet involves lot of meat cooking.
  4. All TVs have crappy built in sound, get a decent soundbar.
  5. I had a shitty cat litter box, got the really nice modkat litter box. It ended up actual being easier to clean and maintian compared to my old one that was shoved instead a end table type furniture.
  6. I love to cook, but hate using the big oven, so I got a smaller toaster oven from breville and use the big oven for storage of pots and pans.
  7. Get those under bed, motion sensing light-sensitive led strips, I wake up and not stepping on my cat thanks to it.

Yes. Get yourself a power bank, a flexible gooseneck usb extension, and one of these usb lights, and you end up with this. I zip tie it to the back of the music stand, and bend the goose neck over the top. It gets really bright if you want it to, and it's complete flood, and depending on the power bank it will last all night easy. This power bank is 16,000mAh, but a 10k would probably last all night too.

Goose neck usb.

I got the lights at Costco. I don't see them on the website, but they have the same ones on Amazon. They were about half the price at Costco, so maybe try in store first. It would be worth looking into rechargeables as the lights run off three AAAs each.
Still great with the lights off

Anker battery bank. 10k mah gets me 5 charges on my GPS watch and 2-3 phone charges. With minimal phone use that's a week or better.

I've used it on a few mountain backpack hunts. Works great.

Also, grab a handful of the little USB LED lights - like these:

https://www.amazon.com/Yitee-Keychain-Bright-Ultra-thin-Portable/dp/B00QYNPKU2

It works great for a general area light plugged directly into the battery bank. I've got one rubber banded to every batter bank in my house.

I use ones like these http://www.amazon.com/Leviton-16509-2PK-Guide-Almond-2-Pack/dp/B000GYF8XY/ . They use such a ridiculously small amount of electricity that they just run 24/7. They glow green, its almost exactly like the indiglo face on a timex watch. Its just enough light not to step on shit and nothing more. I too get migraines and its not enough light to mess with me. I've never had one burn out.

I should add that this is a very easy do-it-yourself project. If you go to Amazon and search led light strip any one of those will do exactly what you need, probably better than the one I linked to actually.

This is exactly what they look like with the same exact packaging but mine said Easy home instead of Capstone. I assume they rebrand it and sell it exclusively at Aldi stores. It was only $17.99 also

Scope the place out before you shoot. Figure out what angles you want to shoot at and keep an eye out for obstacles & clear paths for yourself. If you're walking across wood surfaces gently tap the wood with an outstretched foot before proceeding forward. If there's any give or sponginess consider finding another route.

Be weary of squatters in any abandoned building, look for clues that someone might be living there (trash, wads of toilet paper, food waste, clothing, bedding). Bring mace and/or a very bright flashlight (200+ lumens) that can be used to blind someone.

Definitely bring a flashlight to see in dark areas. You can even use it to creatively illuminate scenes. I use several portable batteries with usb LED cards to illuminate my scenes as I really dislike flash photography. Here's an example of a shot I've taken with a model in an abandoned building using three of those lights placed on the floor to her left and right, and one placed above her shining through a hole in the ceiling. This room is otherwise pitch black at night. And another example using only two of those lights placed in the basement foundation of a burned down house. Both photos were taken with my phone on a tripod, usually 5-10 second exposures.

Most importantly, let at least one person know where you are and when you expect to be back.

Once there was a little girl named Rylie who loved all things scary. Even though she was only 4 years old there was not one single monster that could scare her. She wanted to collect every spooky book, every scary movie, and any creepy dolls. One night while getting ready for bed she wanted to watch some new Halloween movies. Suddenly the tv went blank and she heard noises outside her window. Being the fearless monster fighter she is she grabbed her flashlight and headed for outside. Once she got outside she realized that the noise was just the goofy monster Frankenstein. He thought this was the place the chipmunks were having their concert. Rylie relieved that she didn't have to actually fight off any monsters simply told Frank that he indeed had the wrong place but could join her in her room to finish watching her movie. They both fell asleep snuggled up under a blanket with a bowl that only had a few popcorn kernels left and her nighlight dimly shining.

Okay for u/rainbowterfly I'm going with rainbow light thing because it's a rainbow and adorable.

For u/acaldwell3590 this knitting thimble!

I wasn't sure if I was meant to do both, apologies if not.

u/mariner289 · 2 pointsr/pics

I'm not sure I'd like that - sanitary wise. A few years ago I picked up a motion activated night light and plugged it into an outlet next to vanity top above and to side of toilet. I virtually never turn on the bathroom light at night anymore.

Woah, found the exact one:

u/Difascio · 1 pointr/dvdcollection

So they're like single dome lights? Like these? I kind of want to get some now.

u/Ronald8McDonald · 1 pointr/LSD

Bought this last week and it's fucking crazy. Definitely recommend it looks amazing in person https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N6GN6OK/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I hate SmartThings and replaced it with an Echo Plus right when it came out.

All my issues disappeared. All my lights stay connected always. Its beautiful.

For the bed thing...

Not long till they do, I used to see the wish app was flooded with these for games like PUBG and FORTNITE

Edit: quick google search came up with this “make your own custom acrylic light” https://mrledsign.com/products/custom-led-sign-color-changing-desktop-sign-laser-engraved-neon-like-remote-control-5-sizes-6-8-12-16-20-made-in-usa

Edit: even cheaper if you can get a piece of acrylic like OP and have it laser etched you can just buy the LED LIGHT BASE from amazon here.

I ordered this one yesterday when it was on sale: Night light with remote

It's still available, except now at its usual price for $20. I haven't received it yet, but according to the reviews it is possible to keep it at a red color (or whichever color you prefer), which was important to me too.

u/HardwareLust · 1 pointr/Pets

Yes, your little boy can find the litter box just fine in the dark.

If it worries you, an inexpensive night light like this uses almost no electricity: http://www.amazon.com/Leviton-C22-16509-Soft-Green-Guide-Almond/dp/B000GYF8XY

u/ruat_caelum · 1 pointr/arduino

Dollar store sells the night lights that plug into the wall with one of these for light.

Which means there is a AC->DC transformer and probably a DC->DC converter. i.e. 120ac->7vdc->5voltsdc The dc to dc is because is cheaper to go dc to dc with a shitty ac->dc prestage than it is to go ac->dc with steady regulated power.

These are a dollar in the dollar store. half the cost of the item online and probably get 2 or 3 useful components out of one.

After goggling it maybe they just got a batch over overflow or something because amazon sells the night lights for about 5$ a piece.

I bought this for my husband last year. He hasn’t turned on the bathroom light in the middle of the night for ages. Not OP, but Amazon has it for $50.00

u/Mr_Smartass · 1 pointr/apexlegends

The light base was from Amazon (link below). The plexiglass was etched on my father’s laser engraver. I think it took him roughly 20 mins of burn time. I can try to ask him about specifics since he’s visiting for the holiday if you’re looking for info.
