Advion roach gel

Wait a week or so and your problem will be solved

Eventually, especially as the weather gets colder, they may find their way inside. One or two of these bait stations around the house may help. I have a bunch of these larger ones around my property and it does seem to help.

u/MyBackStillHurts · 9 pointsr/pasadena

Since moving here I've waged a war on the Argentine Ant menace. They're an invasive species and insanely aggressive compared to other ants I've had to deal with elsewhere. So here's my WAR STRATEGY™ for anyone else dealing with these awful borg creatures that are invading Pasadena.

I found that those Terro sugar traps just reduced their numbers for a week, apparently Argentine ants are resilient to those, but I did some research and THIS is the only thing I've used that actually seems to do the trick. Sprinkle it in a border around your house. Apparently it works well on this specific breed. It doesn't poison the ants themselves, but when they feed it to their larvae, they excrete it as poison that the ants then eat and feed to the queen, so it takes a little while to kick in, but once it does they lay off for a good while. I guess they don't give the sugar trap stuff to the queen for whatever reason, but I still use those Terro traps to divert their attention from coming inside the house.

As far as things you can do right now, I'd sprinkle diatomaceous earth and/or boric acid around the opening they're coming through while you wait for the other poison to kick in. You'll have to stay diligent because they'll try and find holes in your border but keep it up and they'll eventually peter out and stop. I also discovered that cinnamon is a pet friendly way to interrupt their pheromone trail and they don't like walking on it because it burns. I've sprinkled that around my sink and cabinets. Cinnamon oil also works to an extent but you have to keep reapplying it.

All of this stuff is temporary, but every time they try and get in again I do everything I listed above and they go away for months at a time. Good luck!

The can, not as often as rats. It's actually spread by the fleas.

Mice in your home or business is not as "cute " as we think. If you wonder if your grocery store has a problem, look for these around the sides and back of the buildings.

Wash your produce.

You'll need to use a gel bait. Best applied in commonly found harborage areas like around warm, moist areas, (the mechanical workings of refrigerator, behind stoves, in cabinets, under sinks, any other areas you commonly see them) place the bait in pea sized drops, and use more then you think you'll need. The idea is if they eat the bait, come back looking for more, wwr want it to be the for them to find

A good dust for void applications is alpine or delta dust. Applied with a bulb duster.

These products are great for areas you can't reach or see like inside walls. You'd remove outlet covers, lights switch covers etc. Place tip of duster inside the wall, and "blow" the dust inside the wall.

A few things to look for after applying, firstly, dead cockroaches show they're getting in the product. Also, the growth regulator will mutate the females appearance, curling the wings on their backs. Seeing these will also give you a clue you're applying the product in the correct place. All of these products are expensive, but when applied correctly will be very effective at solving your problem. Good luck to you

My building had an infestation of german roaches starting last November, but it's been dealt with.

I tried the advion gel but it wasn't very effective - what ended up doing it for my place was putting out two packs of CombatMax bait/traps.

Killed all the roaches in my apartment in a week or two, and I haven't seen one since early January

u/WoollyMuffler · 5 pointsr/askTO

These ant traps got rid of the ants in my condo.

u/thascarecro · 5 pointsr/lawncare

Oh man i battled with 2 in my yard for months last year. Tried all types of poison, baits, like 4 different traps. But ONE trap reigned supreme. This one. They are smart as fuck so those shitty little metal ones dont work for me. I'd carefully set them down in the tunnel and by the morning the fuckers had the trap up above the surface on top of their new mound. But that trap i linked killed both of them dead within days. Once you find their main interstate tunnel then it gets much easier.

I know traps and baits all work differently for everyone depending on a lot of factors. But nothing besides that trap worked for me. The plastic kept me from buying it first but when i finally bought it i realized how strong its built.

If you are sure it’s a mouse, get the slow poison: d-CON Refillable Corner Fit Mouse Poison Bait Station, 1 Trap + 6 Bait Refills https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K7C4JQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LerJAb9HWZMKE

Calmly explain to your mom what is going on, and ask for the day off. Ask for the poison above. If you don’t get the day off, don’t whine, just go to school and sleep through lunch.

Good luck.

u/Tlbacardi · 3 pointsr/spiderbro

I went to a bug & weed mart, they recommended some gel baits since I had ants coming in the house getting into the animal food. They recommended these gel tray things, I was skeptical but nothing was working so I tried it. Within 24 hours the ants were gone and they have been gone for over a year. It was similar to this or this

u/DarkcorpseOfArkay · 2 pointsr/CringeAnarchy

If someone would mail this to u/sjw_against_whites , that'd be nice

All you need:

Just keep using them/putting them out. Seems like a lot at first, but this should last you ~1yr or so

u/particle409 · 2 pointsr/Landlord

Tell the landlord to completely clean upstairs. You should put all food in plastic containers. Mouse traps are cheap and easy to use, especially in vacant apartments. Even on the exterior of the house:

$20 will cover the whole perimeter.

http://www.amazon.com/Maxforce-Roach-Bait-Gel-Syringes/dp/B002Z37C9C this one worked really nice for me, great reviews and theres cheaper tubes.

I dont think we've ever bothered controlling the 'source' but I do see yearly flare ups- in the summer time because Ill be outside and see roaches in the backyard/street too! Get some bait, apply, and good to go. Thats just my experience, never had a horrible infestation.

u/moleratical · 1 pointr/WTF

Because roaches build up an immunity to poisons (or so I've been told) I am not sure that I should share this with you but this got rid of all of my roaches in about 3-4 weeks. It was about 5-6 years ago and they haven't come back.

Like the other person mentioned about keeping the area clean, also make sure that if you have plants in the area, they are not dripping with plant juice.

Some plants secrete liquid that ants like, that was my problem.

I got borax trays, like these https://www.amazon.com/Harris-Killer-Liquid-Poison-Indoor/dp/B073XT4HHH

It took about 1 or 2 months for them to completely die off, don't remember exactly. It took time but it worked well.

u/BiggerInTheInside · 1 pointr/PS4

Also, try setting up these around the ps4. Maybe it will draw them out.

My kids spill dog food all over the garage which attracts mice. I clean up the dog food and beg, beg,"Please don't spill dog food. PLEASE". And they continue to just throw it all over the garage.

I used these http://www.amazon.com/Intruder-30442-Better-Mousetrap-6-Pack/dp/B00APWMD3A and caught 4(?) mice immediately. Then the traps just sat empty. I haven't caught one in a trap since, they've gotten smart.

So I've put some of these http://www.amazon.com/D-con-Count-Disposable-Bait-Stations/dp/B019BHS9VO/ref=sr_1_3?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1454204466&sr=1-3&keywords=dcon under the freezer, under the shelving units, and behind the water heater. I have found two corpses and haven't seen new poop

u/SillycybiN888 · 1 pointr/sporetraders

I know that itchy feeling! My cats got the fleas and spread them everywhere! I used different powders and diomataceous earth but they were pretty useless. I got rid of them slowly with a sticky flycatcher paper and a little light to attract them.

It was this or call in the exterminator.

Clamp style mole traps are what I use. Worm mole bait works well too but it may not be legal in your locality. If you DO decide to trap them, get some advice on trap placement and tactics. Moles can be VERY frustrating to trap. I do pretty well but occasionally, I have a customer with moles and they are just smarter than the others I guess.

u/jman4c21 · 1 pointr/lawncare

Voles. Grab these bait stations

u/Kethba · 1 pointr/lawncare

Hm, I had moles earlier this year and they didn't look like that.

I couldn't see the paths of the tunnels, just hills that looked more like this: https://d2q0qd5iz04n9u.cloudfront.net/_ssl/proxy.php/http/gallery.mailchimp.com/736053fe082d0fe444eb73761/images/colasped_mole_run_for_voles.jpg

I used this with bait pellets and it seemed to take care of them: https://www.amazon.com/Yard-Butler-IGBA-1-Gopher-Applicator/dp/B00EOMCJE0
