It's a pill holder. Most likely waterproof. It usually has a small metal o-ring through that top hole that can attach to a keychain. It's for people who have medicine like nitro pills that they need to carry for emergencies.

Here is one on Amazon.

Side note: I use these on my keychains, but I keep folded money in there. For emergencies.

u/loclay · 14 pointsr/MultipleSclerosis

It’s here at the ‘zon

I like you because I can take each day individually when I travel. Also, it’s pretty.

u/bookmonkey786 · 6 pointsr/onebag

OK here's my guide for slightly paranoid travel safety, money wise.

I personally think money belts are too large, clunky and ineffective in hot weather anyway.

First empty out your wallet, keep the license/ID there, you might need it to get into clubs and such. 1 credit card and 2-3 days worth of money, copy of passport, and possibly hotel key card. If someone waves a knife in your face toss the wallet without any hesitation. One other tip for some countries, don't keep too much money but not too little in the main pocket, keep some big bills folded up in a card pocket, if you get pulled over and need to give a bribe you can show them your wallet that doesn't have that much money, not something to do in Belgium but useful in Bali.

Get one of these pill capsules. They can fit 1 paper bill, keep it clipped to your pants/neck, I keep it clipped to my keys and a little multitool on a belt loop. I keep in there 20/50 Euro or local bill, Euro's pretty good cause you can use it almost anywhere in an emergency. This is my last line of defense its at least enough to get me a taxi home or even keep going with my day and not waste time if my wallet gets stolen.

And/Or get one of these clip stash wallets ans a second line of defense, you can keep a day's money or some big bills there, keep it clipped on the inside of your pants, if you get mugged you can lift up your shirt and show you have nothing, its much more subtle than a money belt, better in SE Asia where you want to just wear a thin shirt. You can keep you credit card there but in Europe I prefer to charge on my card so I don't have to carry too much money or withdraw too much money. Its optional for me most of the time I don't bring this thing but it is an option.

If all these options fail then you have bigger things to worry about cause you're probably in a bathtub full of ice and missing something worse than money.

I worry much more about my phone really since there's less you can do tp protect it, I got a case with a lanyard loop so its harder to get snatched but really it's more so I don't drop it cause I'm clumsy.

I have a little metal keychain that holds my pills when I need to take them somewhere with me. I bought it on Amazon, the brand is called GUS.

They are stainless steel and waterproof and have multiple sizes so you should be able to find one that will work for you. It was kind of pricey but I'm glad I got it versus a cheaper one that had questionable reviews. I don't keep my ADHD meds in it as I only take those once a day but I do keep my other meds that I take 2x/day in it as well as my migraine pills. All of them are uncoated and I've never had a problem with them getting crumbly or powdery at all. I had a Tylenol tablet in there for like 2 and a half months and when I took it out it looked like it had just come out of a brand new bottle. It's small enough to be discreet and not uncomfortably bulky but large enough that I'm not going to lose it too easily (I can lose anything if I'm not careful though!). I can put it on my keys, in my purse, in my backpack, or even in a pocket. Or, if I'm with my boyfriend and I'm not carrying anything or we go somewhere where I don't want to take my purse in, I can give it to him and he clips it on to his keys that he clips to his belt loop. It's stainless steel, so it blends in with pretty much anything and doesn't look out of place! Plus since it's waterproof I don't have to worry about making sure it doesn't get wet so it eases my mind a little bit (I've tested it, it really is waterproof).

Hope this helps!

I ordered a couple of these pill sorter/boxes things from Amazon, then called my pharmacist and asked what pills I was allowed to take out of the real annoying packing and what I wasn’t and then I put them inside these snazzy babies, I pre-peal the pills I can’t take out the really annoying packing and stuff each pill into the individual compartments. This baby is waterproof and is protected from light. I keep one in my purse and one in my bedroom so I have pills labeled and ready to take when it’s go time. I don’t even have to look at the box when I open it as I have memorized where each pill is and if I ever need help from someone else all the pills are labeled.

I use this organizer that I fill every week, and then each day I just take one of the colored containers with me in my purse. That way I have my morning, noon, and night meds all with me in case I don't go home at the usual times.

u/christopher_deleo · 2 pointsr/EDC

Would this work? I have the micro version and it holds 3 days worth of my meds (i only take two pills in the afternoon so i carry some in case i have to work late) the quality is top notch, hasnt unscrewed in my pocket and ive carried it on my keys for about a month now everyday.

i have these 3 things too, it's pretty awful so i'm really glad he has someone to help.

bose "hearphones" are unfortunately not in your price range, but maybe you could budget for them down the road? i literally just got a pair about 2 weeks ago, and they are proving invaluable in loud settings like restaurants.

the other thing that makes my life more pleasant are disposable foam ear plugs. i buy them by the hundreds and keep them in various canisters like these when i leave the house.

I have been splitting my meds out per week to avoid losing/destroying it or having it stolen. I found a heavy duty camping-marketed pill keeper for each week of the month. When i get my refills, i go right home and split up everything in those four holders. After each week, i put any leftovers into the original bottles for the next round. The keepers snap together with a tight seal and have worked to protect the pills through a few bad spills into my lunchbox.

Here is a very similar pill keeper to what i found: FECEDY Outdoor Waterproof Pill Box Medicine Storage Organizer Container Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01568HFOE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VIUoDbSSCMT5B

We use this one:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0189GHEDW/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_DGM4Cb8R09YKS

My spouse sets them up every week.

I "can" but putting tiny pills in small compartments, when you have Parkinson's, can be an a all day affair. Though you DO get exercise bending over to pick them up, off the floor... over and over and over again.

Pill organizers work great to separate and store pins, and are really cheap.

pill organizer

u/yaNahmean · 2 pointsr/ChronicPain

Hi. I don’t have trogeminal neuralgia but I have been on a dozen pills at one time and have taken care of family members with similar amounts of medication. My suggestion is to get a pill organizer like this that has pop out days for travel so you can always take your medication with you. Set alarms on your phone when to take your medicine. My example is I take mine at 9am, 3pm & 9pm. Also keep an update list of your medication names, dose mg, and how often. I keep all my medication bottles in a large ziplock with that list inside to take to my doctor visits. My mom uses a plastic tub with a lid. I hope this helps.

u/km3k · 2 pointsr/CysticFibrosis

I use these pill boxes: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KL740S They hold about 7-8 Creon 24000 pills and are small enough not to be a problem. They do rattle a little at times, but not enough to bother me.

Luckily, I usually only need 1 creon pill per meal/snack, or 2 with a larger fatty meal, so I can get by with a smaller case. Others here might need to carry more at a time.

I'm open to other options though. I think efficiency in volume and ease of opening/closing would be the most important things for me. The case that lach88 uses looks interesting, but I don't need to carry that many at once and don't want to take up that much space.

u/untitledabstract · 2 pointsr/ADHD

This is what I got. They have different versions depending on how many times a day you need it for. (Bug Hull is the name.)

u/tmpick · 2 pointsr/EDC

I use a GUS Original Pill Fob for toothpicks. I like cinnamon flavored ones, and this keeps them nice and fresh.

u/squeamish · 2 pointsr/ADHD

I can't tell if this is the exact item I have (I'm on my phone) but I keep my pills in one of these on my keychain.

I have this pill box that I edc.

Also, I get a lot of use from the Marlin Spike on my Myerchin. You never know when you're gonna have to untie a knot that's gonna be a real mother fucker.

u/annoyingone · 2 pointsr/camping

The pill case is a good idea. I use this. Only downside is it is not water tight so I have to make sure to put it in a bag. I usually take Ibuprofen, tums, tylenol, ibuprofen, lorazepam, imodium and a few other ones I dont remember.

This is mine.

I actually got mine from eBay. I bought a purple one for a friend and put a cute phone charm on it.

I prefer treating my meds as an excuse to accessorize. And bond with friends. It makes it less of an "oh god, I'm a freak." Thing and more of a facet of life.

u/shefadesaway69 · 2 pointsr/kratom

I have a couple of these 6 pill organizers

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008UZV8HQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519692152&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=6+pill+organizer

They're nice enough to leave out on the counter, and great for mixing and rotating strains.

not great but not going to cause any permanent damage, if you're doing 1x/day there's little pill boxes I use like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pill-Box-Organizer-Compartment-Weekly/dp/B005BGAA08 so you don't forget :)

This is behavior hacking! You need to (1) remove obstacles to success and (2) set up rewards and punishments for your behavior.

(1) Remove Obstacles

Stumbling Block: Too many bottles to open when I’m tired
On Sunday evenings, when my husband is ironing shirts and I’m going over my doctor’s appointments for the week in my calendar, I also put my pills in a weekly pill sorter. I had to try a few to find which one worked best for me.

Stumbling Block: Mid-day meds forgotten at home
Right now I’m on AM/PM only but when I had mid-day meds, I put them in a separate, smaller pill sorter that went into my purse since I am often out mid-day.

Stumbling Block: Don’t want to get out of bed to take meds in the kitchen/supplies were all over the place
My med bottles, heating pad, pain cream and other pain/injury stuff are in a 3-tier rolling cart from IKEA that is by my bedside. I try to keep the top tier clear except for my pill sorters, my take as needed meds and a few other small bits.

Stumbling Block: Started ignoring my alarms
I have phone alarms that have a loud and annoying ringtone to remind me to take my meds. I change it up every few months so I don’t get too used to it. It’s also a different sound than my wake up alarm and my other phone sounds. Some people do better setting a physical alarm clock that is harder to turn off or ignore.

(2) Rewards & Punishments

For awhile when I was struggling to take meds, I had a deal with my sister that I’d text her every am and pm with a picture of my empty pill sorter section that was time/date stamped.
(Note the removing obstacles here by fighting against my instinct for laziness. The check in was twice per day, required a photo and required a time stamp.)

Punishment:
I gave her an envelope with $25 bucks per week in it. If I missed an accountability picture text, I lost $5. If I was more than 30 minutes late with my meds, I lost $2.

Reward:
At the end of each week, she’d tell me my balance and if I never missed a dose, she sometimes put in an extra $5 reward (Never asked her to do that. It was just her being awesome.)
Reward:
At the end of the month, she’d send me the money in the mail since we live a few hours away. We could have done all this electronically, but physically sending her an envelope with $100 in it each month and physically getting that money back (or less money back) made it much more real to me.
Reward:
I also got to reward myself with that money by paying for a massage or pedicure or a nice haircut/blowout.
Penalty:
If I didn’t have enough money for the reward I was working towards, I didn’t get to do it.

This worked super well for me until I got into a better natural rhythm. Now I do it for myself and my husband kind of checks in with me about it.

Here are some tools I’ve tried and liked:

AM/PM 7-Day Pill Sorter, long & flat - nicely sized, has push buttons instead of snaps that hurt fingers, good colors
AM/PM 7-Day Pill Sorter, removable rectangles - nice, large capacity, easy open, secure close, individual squares for each day of the week, 8th container for extra meds

Mid-Day/Travel Med Sorter, rectangle - nice size, secure, removable compartments for different pill sizes, up to 4 sections, nice colors
Mid-Day/Travel Pill Sorter (Round, 7 day) - east to load, easy to dispense, 7 sections, small and well-designed

Did You Take Your Pills? Tool - small card that has switches you can flip for each day and AM/PM to ensure you take meds
Time Since Last Dose Pill Bottle Caps - Of you forget when you last took your meds, check the color-coded caps to see how long it’s been since your last dose. Helpful if you take multiple times per day or struggle to remember if you’ve taken each med. several colors so you can mark multiple bottles.

Good luck OP!

Ha. Don't feel bad about your work out. I haven't been swimming in a few months.

Also, If your salt cravings have gone away and your blood pressure is up, then why do you say the fludro isn't working? As for me, I'm actually currently trying a little time without fludro for a while to try to see if that helps my blood pressure, which is a bit high right now.

As for stress management, I tend to not have as difficult problems at night or in the evening. For me, its mornings that are worse, with them usually starting out with some wretching. I drink grapefruit juice, which helps as it actually increases cortisol availability, but still mornings usually take an hour or more till I'm ready to go do something. However, once I'm up, I tend to be able to make it through the entire rest of the day without that much trouble, as long as I get my afternoon dosing done, and a phone alarm and a good pocket sized pill container make that pretty easy.

That being said, I think the number one thing I do to manage my health is sleep for as long as my body wants to, i.e., waking up without an alarm. I know that not everybody can do that, but I notice that when I cut my sleep schedule short I get my more symptomatic. Fortunately, I'm a graduate student, so my schedule is not a big concern as I can set my own hours.

Amazon. Each little compartment holds 0.3-0.5g ground. Nice for bringing multiple strains with you or if you collect avb

Get something akin to this, and then presort it all. That way, when it's time to take your pill, you just open today's slot and take that one.

If you forgot if you've taken it, all you have to do is look in today's slot. Is the pill there? Then you haven't taken it.

u/misanthropicusername · 1 pointr/bipolar

My best friend gave it to me. Posted about it on the other bipolar sub when that happened and [checks posting history] c_hannah found it on Amazon, and it's apparently back in stock now. I also now use this one for my naltrexone - it looks too much like my lithium to keep in in the same pillbox.

u/J-S-Minnow · 1 pointr/JUSTNOMIL

To tack onto this it might be wise to keep all meds in a locking medicine cabinet that only you and your DH have the keys to. Not only will that prevent any accidents with your LO, /u/whtbrd, but it will also keep any guests- wanted or unwanted- from shopping around in your medicine cabinet [that way they can't steal any or tamper with any]. If anyone other than you or DH need something out of the cabinet either you or DH will go get it for them.

Poke around on amazon for a bit. It doesn't have to be something like this either, it could be something more like this, this, or even this or this as long as it locks well enough to keep unwanted people out. It doesn't need to be fancy. Don't even bring up the fact your worried that she might tamper with your meds to your DH, just tell him that your locking all the medications in the house- including yours- up so LO can't get to them and show him where the key is going to be kept.

I had a surgery myself and I find this useful due to all the supplements I take...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0189GHEDW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just have to sort them once a week, and it helps to remind me when to take what, which is somewhat daunting right after surgery

u/Teflonica · 1 pointr/keto

If there were it would likely cost way more than buying the supplements individually, and would probably cut corners and short change some elements as well. I use these vitamin chests to make it easy to keep track and take supplements.

u/TJSomething · 1 pointr/BlackPeopleTwitter

Ever since I started carrying one of these keychain pill bottles, it's been so nice. I can fit like 15 in there.
