I highly recommend getting a hidden passport holder so you can keep your passport and a credit card on you at all time. They make ones that go around the waste or under the arm. They even make athletic wear that has hidden pockets. It's the best way to do it if you are staying in hostels, or don't necessarily trust the people you stay with.

This is my favorite running belt. It's got a key-leash that I keep my house key and poop bag holder on (hanging out of the belt, obviously) and is entirely open inside, so plenty of room for my phone (but still easily grabbable for spinning pokestops) and unused poop bag rolls. The poop bag holder is amazing and, whether it's clipped to you or your doggo, it will hold 4 bags easily, if necessary.

EDIT: It's also got the perfect treat pocket!!

Try running belt. You can keep phone inside plastic bag.

I carry my phone in a phone belt. It’s the only thing that will fit in there besides maybe a key. And use AirPods. I use SoundCloud for music. Hope this helps.

There are definitely people who bring vests for the race, although I'd say it'd be a tad overkill given that you're just taking the water on the course. If you haven't practiced wearing a vest, it probably wouldn't be wise to use it on race day.

I think lightweight belts like these are quite popular. I haven't used one personally, however I do intend to get one for future races. The benefit of these belts over using pockets or safety pins to clip gels to your shorts is that these don't require fumbling around with a zipper, and also they cause the gels to jiggle around a lot less.

I bought a Spi belt based on recommendations from this forum. However I couldn't figure out how to wear it without bouncing.

I use it to go to work, so I definitely need to keep my wallet, entry pass and phone inside. Alltogether they weigh around 300 gramms, which is not much IMO, but they fill out the capacity of the spi belt.

If I wear it at front, it keeps hitting my d*ck. If I wear it in the back, it's hitting my back. I can wear it on the side but then it keeps slipping off. If I tie it too much so it wouldn't slip, then I cannot breathe since it squeezes my stomach.

This thing is supposed to be great for runners, but it seems to be awful so far. Is there some trick to it?

Don't run with your phone in your hand, put it in something like an armband (if you're a giant) or a running belt/pack. This is what I use and it works really well: Amphipod Waistpack

Get this belt. I'm your size, it'll fit.

Also, you need to practice on-the-go nutrition and hydration. It's best to eat at least 1-2 hours before your long run, and make sure you're not dehydrated when you start. I'd recommend taking a gel every 45 minutes on your long runs. It's very important to drink plenty of water when you use gels, because your gut can't absorb sugars when the concentration is too high. Unless your route has water every 5K, you should carry water with you on your long runs. Either a hydration belt or a handheld bottle or a hydration vest. Practice drinking 600 ml / 24 oz. every hour (or more if it's hot).

I have one of these:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KB94OM/ref=oh_details_o03_s02_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I prefer it to camel pack b/c I don't like to wear the actual pack. This also has enough room for your phone/camera and some cash money. It's made for runners, so it's got a slim profile and holds well so you can dance your heart out and it stays pretty much in place. I think the biggest suggestion for staying hydrated is drink water even when you're not thirsty. Your body needs it and I've staved off headaches that way.

I bought this from Amazon and just strapped it around my seat under my chair. I have an 18 in wide seat, and the main body of this bag is 14.5 in, so it works well and only cost $13. I’m sure there are some narrower ones out there if you have a narrower seat width.

I agree, it is kind of boring. I think the tough part here is knowing what she needs. EVERY runner needs shoes but again, boring and also kinda tricky. Here are a few easy things some runners like:

Look at the FlipBelt on Amazon. I may order this soon for my 6+.

I conceal carry on trail runs, mainly to humour my husband. I use this:

http://www.amazon.com/Amphipod-AirFlow-Lite-Waistpack-Color/dp/B003NU7CPU/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1410839611&sr=1-2&keywords=amphipod

It works great for my .380 but I believe would fit a glock (possibly a little snug). Amazon does returns.

It's light, comfy, and accessible if need be.

u/the_tickles · 2 pointsr/running

Get a belt where the bottles set in holders (like a cupholder in a car) rather than clipping on the sides to the belt. I've had the latter and it's a pain to have to clip them in perfectly, and annoying to keep buying new ones. I have a Nathan belt like this that I really like, though I wish the bottles were bigger.

That's what I use, no complaints - as long as you get a model that fits snugly on you. It has a nice pouch that holds 3-4 gels.

I use this one it’s durable room has multiple pockets for different sized items and I don’t even notice it’s there half the time.

u/Minimalisma · 1 pointr/aves

I would use a flip belt to keep your stuff secure. It's nice cause it's multipurpose. I use it for running, travel, raves, etc. You could also buy a flip belt bottle container for water, any drink so it fits inside the belt too!

The main company that makes them is called
FlipBelt, you can pick them up for around $30.

I only carry a purse when I'm wearing something without functional pockets and can't fit what I need in my multiple slim wallet options. Also I prefer carrying a backpack over a purse, so whenever I am in a situation where I can bring a backpack around with me.

The wallets I recommend are:

- for your phone, incipio brand stowaway or stashback because these fit 3 cards+some cash which is more than any other brand I've seen (I don't like the bulky phone cover wallets)

- some sort of wallet that can be clipped to your side or shoe, here's an example with a magnetic clip and it's XL version

I actually got this right here a year ago:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IEF8KQ4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Its great, got my chucks and bits on me at all times. Only complaint is if you get sweaty the pouch gets wet and the bits get rusty.

u/kingcrab73 · 1 pointr/running

My LG G3 fits great in the Amphipod Airflow Microstretch Belt, been happily using it since last summer. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0055Q494M/ref=pe_385040_30332200_TE_item

u/stolee · 1 pointr/running

I run with my cell phone (for GPS) and ipod touch (for music) tucked in the back of my running belt. They just barely fit, which is good that they don't more around much.

I have a Nathan Speed 4R Waist Pack. I've used it in road races as well. Very helpful to control your own hydration instead of depending on water stops.

u/bidwellpark · 1 pointr/iphone

I had the same problem! I ended up getting a fanny pack style belt band that works great for running, cycling, etc. It hangs low enough on my lower back that i can fit my camelback on perfectly as well. i'll see if i can find the link...something like this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NDEYX8?dpm=1&pi=75x75&qid=1345932536&ref_=mp_s_a_1&sr=8-1

u/mcfoobar · 1 pointr/running

Like you I hate running with extra stuff and I don't need to carry very much water so, this one from Nathan is pretty light/unobtrusive. It also has a pretty big pocket for keys or a phone ( if you run with that ).

u/EtherGnat · 1 pointr/running

I'm a big fan of the Nathan Speed hydration belts. I tried out all kinds of different products on the treadmill at a local running store and it was the only one that didn't bug me with it moving around.

u/The_Geb · 1 pointr/running

I have a hydration belt I take on long runs and when I'm racing anything longer than 10k. I usually don't finish my bottle of Gatorade during races because the aid stations (usually every 2-3 miles) hydrate me well enough, but it's nice to have.

u/ClevelandSteamer81 · -2 pointsr/apple

holds my Iphone 6 plus perfectly!!

It's not a fanny pack!
