for modern HDMI or good old component? If you're looking for HDMI a new connector just got released a while back and I hear its pretty good. https://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Cable-2000-Handheld-Console/dp/B07SCXD68H/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=levelhike&qid=1568315555&s=gateway&sr=8-1

I actually use the PSP soft pouches for my PSPs and Vitas (they fit in them)

Sony PSP System Pouch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B8WPEE6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yaB6Cb7PFDHT8

I'd get something like that at the very least

I have one for each of my PSP'S and vita's
You could get a knock off for like a dollar at aliexpress

u/Breadland · 3 pointsr/PSP

It shouldn't bee too hard. There's plenty of PSP Go replacement screens on Aliexpress. Last time I checked they cost $10-15.

If you're in the US, there's this $13 PSP Go screen with free Prime shipping

https://www.amazon.com/LCD-Screen-Display-Backlight-PSP/dp/B00541YO0M

It is a bit annoying though, since you have to take the whole thing apart to get to the screen, but it's doable and way easier than any modern smartphone. It shouldn't take you too long. Just take things slowly and put your screws in places that you can remember them. All you need is a small Philips screwdriver, plus tweezers and a plastic spudger if you want an easier time putting it back together.

Here's a nice guide I used. The guy goes pretty slowly, so it's easy to follow, and he doesn't skip the reassembly.

Why not splurge on this way nicer one for only a few more dollars?

u/jordanlund · 2 pointsr/raspberry_pi

There are PSP replacement screens on Amazon, but I don't know how you'd connect one to the Pi.

Alcohol wipes and vigorous but precise scrubbing on the joystick will remove the finger grim. I have a white PSPgo so it's far more noticeable.

If you've owned a older PSP or just needing a case here's one of those slider pouch ones, it doesn't come with that white strap but the case is nice and the strap is just generic.

https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Protector-Pouch-Strap-Compatible-N1000/dp/B00FBM631C

The cradle is only good at being a charger while playing on your TV. You will also need a PSP 1000-3000 charger and i don't think it comes with component cables and it's around $85-$100.

It is a lot of fun! Add me on Psn and maybe we can help with the 2 player parts eventually. Here is the link to the case no buckle

I can't fully speak to it's reliability because I haven't been able to use it much yet, but it charged and runs on its own off the battery. The reviews aren't the best but there don't seem to be many good reviews for PSP batteries out there with all the fakes.

I got this replacement screen

LCD Screen Display with Backlight for PSP GO US https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00541YO0M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_MOIGopLNWs5Cy

u/TimTheNinja · 2 pointsr/PSP

Well, you're in luck as it's apparently really cheap to replace a PSPgo screen. And it costs about the same to replace the battery. Much better than the price of another used PSPgo!

u/johnblade87 · 2 pointsr/PSP

The one I got is from the link below for $47 CAD+ free shipping from Japan.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00C40MIB8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a much better grip based on the handle where the hand go to. If you want to buy this grip similar like this, it will have to be buying directly from Japan, which mean knowing how to order an item and try to get the seller to ship it oversea which isn't going to be easy or even cheap.

The last choice might be the one on the link below. Under $20 CAD and still in stock now.

u/Tornadomoose · 2 pointsr/RetroPie

How good are you with electronics? I only ask because the only screen I could think of would be from a PSP-1001 or later model. I have my PSP "jailbroken", so I use that as my retro emulation station. The screens are rather inexpensive, but you might be able to connect one to a pi (I'm no expert, but these screens are probably the best, imo)

Just FYI, a PSP joystick fits perfectly on the New 3DS XL. Just yoink the C-nub out with the tip of a knife or with pliers and stick it on there. This is the exact one I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010H8223M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bsBuDbWKVTYAP

It looks great and works like absolute magic. Here's what it looks like on my 3DS: https://i.imgur.com/Qpp7T6j.jpg

And then you can get this case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UJ9LB6Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZBBuDbZ6BNP2H

Makes it feel like you're holding an xbox controller it's so comfortable. With these two modifications I can hunt for hours straight without the slightest bit of discomfort.

And about MH: Stories, it's just such a nice game. It's unusual to find a game just so bright and happy, and the Pokèmon gameplay is really good IMO and the animations are insane - But it still is Pokémon gameplay, so if you don't like turn-based stuff it's not for you.

u/MarzMan · 2 pointsr/PSP

Something like this seems like it would make a world of difference in terms of comfort.

u/Kordan9090 · 2 pointsr/gamecollecting

Well, the best thing to do is try to stick to the actual Sony PSP batteries. Unfortunately, that's a bit expensive, but the off brand ones are just garbage. They have bigger batteries for each model, but they do add some bulk. Also make sure you're getting the right battery for the right model. I honestly don't even mess around with bigger batteries, I've just got a battery bank that I carry around and plug my PSP into it with one of these when it's low.

u/Dusk_Walker · 2 pointsr/PSP

I asked the same question a while back. no answer...

I was also looking at this one.

Let me know how it is if you get one?

u/PuroMichoacan · 2 pointsr/PSP
u/rsyoo · 2 pointsr/PSP

I use this with my pspgo. It makes long sessions more comfy, and I believe it roughly doubles your playtime.

u/venom113344 · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This item its way under your price range and i need a new camera my old one broke.

u/xProtoZoax · 1 pointr/vita

here you go :) this is the back of the blue vita http://imgur.com/0URupnI and these are the cases i have on both of those OLED vita http://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-metallic-protection-Playstation-VITA-Cleaning/dp/B0078J0O34/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416289314&sr=8-3&keywords=cosmo+vita+case they have tons of different colors and they feel great in the hand man! and they feel like they can take a fall and not break :) oh and the red vita is just a standard silicone case but here is the link bro http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Silicone-Skin-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L40/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416289368&sr=8-3&keywords=pdp+vita+skin oh and yes the blue is a metallic finish and it looks awesome in person man!

u/Stormcrow426 · 1 pointr/vita

http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Silicone-Skin-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L22/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1463373562&sr=8-9&keywords=vita+silicone

http://www.amazon.com/Pouch-PlayStation-Vita-PCH-1000-Sony-PS/dp/B00F34B6JW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_63_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=51VDNXHbqhL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=03BE0A10EBHT7REFNKZQ

I'm using a similar combination to these two products. I get the silicone skin to make the Vita more comfortable and have a little bump resistance. The case is simple and is usable with the skin on the device. Since the case has two zippers you can make it so your Vita can be plugged in while inside the case if you wanted.

You would need a PSP adapter for the TV eForCity® Premium HDTV HD AV Component Cable Compatible With SONY PSP 3000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QGTU1NU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PVbMAbTKJ08T3

And the PS3 adapter for the Elgato (cant find an individual listing on Amazon) but its the one that comes with most older elgatos that goes in the AV in slot

u/Wise2TheLies · 1 pointr/PSP

I have this memory card adapter with 32+64GB SD cards.

The regular charger and Sony battery that comes with the PSP should be good enough. Most batteries you find are aftermarket junk and lots of people have bad luck with them.

I also have one of these coming in the mail soon. It fits 2000 and 3000 models only.

u/seifer93 · 1 pointr/PSP

I'm pretty sure your screen is damaged. You could try replacing it. New screens aren't too expensive.

u/erasedisknow · 1 pointr/PSP
u/MrCrossa · 1 pointr/vita

I use this on my Vita, but I have no idea how well it works on the slim.

Although from what I've seen here, looks like there are better cases, but if you want a cheap as free case, go for this one. Can't imagine it not working with the slim.

u/Froggypwns · 1 pointr/3DS

yep I use one like that, except it has multiple heads on it for charging older DS models and my PSP.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LUSXIS/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/gappvembe · 1 pointr/PS3

See I want the UMD disc player as I don't want to rebuy my games (I have every Ys game to play yet) and the dualshock would preferable.

I bought this, and it helps holding the thing, but still not to my preferred comfort.

u/Reset_Tears · 1 pointr/vita

I use the official PSP headphones. I can't stand the kind that you have to stick in your ears, and the PSP ones are just the right size for me. I don't like huge, heavy, bulky headphones.

These ones here. Mine didn't come with remote control thing though.

u/Orohu · 1 pointr/PS4

I would recommend the PSP headset, personally. They go for about $5 on Amazon, the remote for PSP music control is removable (so the rest of it will plug into the Dualshock 4's headphone jack), and the sound quality is actually pretty good.

u/JohnEdwa · 1 pointr/PSP

If you want to play PS1 games on a TV, get a PC with an emulator. It will always look much, much better than any of the 'native' solutions, period.

They asked what is the best PSP to play PSX games, and that is the Go, as it's the only one you can pair with a Dualshock. Not because you'd need to "get a dock and play on a TV" (and even if you did, the cable costs $20 on amazon.), but because the Dualshock 'phone' mount exists and it's fucking awesome. They also cost around $10.

But, like I said, if you aren't going to do that, then they are all pretty equal.

u/coderkind · 1 pointr/PSP

Does anyone know if Sony's AV Cable (http://www.amazon.com/PSPgo-AV-Cable-Sony-PSP/dp/B000VRVX76) does RGB Scart? Looking at getting the best possible picture when playing PS1 games.

nah but it's definitely different than the normal pspk series cables.
