Brooks bras are nice. I have some of these which I also like because I'm with you on the price of the Brooks bras

u/finally-anna · 16 pointsr/MtF

I use these at work (without the padding) to keep mine in check: https://www.amazon.com/FITTIN-Racerback-Sports-Bras-Seamless/dp/B016MXOY00/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=fittin+sports+bra&qid=1554229739&s=gateway&sr=8-3

They are a little warm, however, but are also quite snug.

u/imabratinfluence · 14 pointsr/bigboobproblems

If you don't want to squash them, avoid "compression bras" and look for "encapsulation bras." Encapsulation bras will have separate cups, like this Freya Active, Panache Sport, and Panache Sport Non-wired.

u/Robin-Hoodie · 11 pointsr/MtF

you can get a 2 or 3 pack of sports bra's and a "grab bag" of underwear on amazon! maybe a bottle of nail polish and top coat too.
and for the summer some nice yoga shorts to wear around as well!

Everything linked are things I have personally picked up and recommend as great starting items (you may want to size up on underwear btw to make room for yourself) c:

Glamorise Women's Plus Size No-Bounce Full-Support Sport Bra, Soft Grey, 36G https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DP6CMBU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NyFNBbKFW2D46

u/dehue · 9 pointsr/bigboobproblems

Yes, I agree on remeasuring using /r/abrathatfits method! VS and similar stores always told me I was a 32DDD/34DD since DDD is the biggest cup size that they carry. Turns out that a lot of my boobs problems (straps slipping off, back pain due to straps supporting most of weight, nip slips and constant overflowing of cups, back band riding up and not being able to get enough lift among many others issues) were not actually due to my boobs being weird but due to poorly fitting bras. I have since switched to wearing 28GG bras and have never been happier.

Do you have a Nordstroms near you? They have a fairly decent selection of UK bra brands like Panache and Freya that go up to much bigger cup sizes and are made for bigger busts. If not, there are also lots of sites with good return policies so you can find something online. For sports bras, I really love the panache wired sports bra. It gives lots of support, is very comfortable, drastically reduces bounce (even more so when in racerback mode) and even gives a nice shape under shirts. Here is the Amazon link to it.

u/localgyro · 7 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

Let me point you to /r/ABraThatFits for the experts.

I'm a FF, and out and about I wear underwires. But I have a Panache sports bra without a wire that I will wear traveling or just hanging out sometimes.

u/baaaaanana · 6 pointsr/progresspics

This sports bra has changed my life! It's a little pricey, but it keeps these bad boys down. I used to get bruises on top of my boobs after working out. It was weird and embarrassing.

u/ShamrockShart · 6 pointsr/todayilearned

A "cheap" but supportive sports bra from Marshalls costs $20.

This link for sports bras on Amazon range $9-$30. They appear to be reasonably supportive.

This one looks like a very nice daily wear type and it ranges from $13 to $58.

Even if you find a great bra for something like $10 you still have to remember that it's underwear that "has" to be worn every day. So you either end up having a ton of them (which is expensive) or wearing the same ones frequently (which means replacing it often which is expensive.)

Compare to the price of a pair of underwear. This five pack of men's underwear ranges from $15-$39. That $3-$8.50.

*I'm not responding to any more of you. Appreciate the work I did to provide reasonable price numbers or fuck off. If you think it's not fair to compare to the price of a bra to men's underwear, I repeat: fuck off. If you wear only underwear then fuck off for trying to tell me how to explain the price of bras. :)

I feel you about caring. I sometimes feel a little boyish when I work out (muscles + pixie cut + flat boobs + ruler-ish shape from the front), which is a totally fine thing, I just prefer to look more feminine myself.

Anywho, I have this padded sports bra and it's the best! It's enough support for me to jog, lift, and jump rope. But it doesn't squish my boobs flat, and gives them a nice round shape.

I also have this one. It also has pads and I do like it, but it's slightly less comfortable and makes things a little more compressed.

u/galaxystarsmoon · 4 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I really like the basic Champion sports bras that are just a soft cotton with elastic. They never bother my neck. They used to sell them at Target but I find that the ones Target carries now are a lot heavier duty and not as soft and comfortable.

u/poesii · 4 pointsr/ftm

I figured that was the case, but didn't want to presume. A good sports bra or two can bind you fairly well (people really like this one, but it may be too small for you if you're bigger), and there's this method of binding using camisoles, which are a dirt cheap feminine clothing item that won't raise any suspicion.

You could also try hitting up the Buy/Sell/Trade thread to see if you can find an actual binder there for a bit cheaper. Lots of people sell new/gently used gc2b's over there because they got the wrong size or too many.

u/sweetris · 4 pointsr/MtF

I would say just wear those little cotton sports bras under your scrubs. People are dense and will not notice your growth. They will probably just think you have ripped pecs. These are the ones that I wore before I was out and still do every once since they are pretty comfy and supportive.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013XWDGC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

I find they kinda flatten the pointedness of the breast and make it look more like a chest muscle.

u/AbandonedKitten · 4 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I layer 2. One longer with more seperation under like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DZPAM96/
and one thicker on top for support like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072QN1DX4/
Sizing was more trial and error because I couldn't find anything in my size (46N US). This was the most comfortable and supportive combination for me. Not the greatest fit, but it works.

u/dingodashes · 4 pointsr/Reduction

These were my favorite:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072WS1KN4/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_qxomDbMZX8MNA

I went a size or two up because my underside incisions were so sensitive.

Once you are ready for a pull on bra, these are amazing. Very comfortable but still supportive. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XN7LQT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

They're both Amazon prime so you can return for free. You just might want to cover yourself with some gauze when you're trying them on so you don't bleed or ooze on them.

u/forethoughtless · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

It's been so long since I bought a sports bra that I'm not sure what to expect from them any more! I am a 32E/F-ish, FOB and projected w/ soft tissue so I have a lot to hold down (at least, a lot relative to what typical sports bras seem to be built for).

Can I expect full immobilization from a high impact sports bra like the Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra?

I tried on the Syrokan high impact sports bra in 32E and still had a small amount of up/down movement, although at least this bra actually did an okay job of encapsulating my breasts. Idk if sizing up to 32F would improve things?

Also ordered the Moving Comfort Fiona sports bra in 34DD, haven't tried it on yet.

TL;DR:

Sports bras. If I want more immobilization, does going up a cup size (same band size) help or harm? How much movement reduction can I expect from a high impact sports bra? What features seem to help, in your experience?

u/tchaikovskaya92 · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Enell-Womens-Wire-Free-Sports-Black/dp/B000PCTM66/ref=sr_1_39?keywords=sports+bra&qid=1557153737&s=gateway&sr=8-39

It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm a 36DDD and it keeps everything in place, no matter what I do, I basically forget I have boobs when I work out lol. It's magical. I'd be curious if anyone else has this one and likes it just as much, though.

u/Tesserac_T · 3 pointsr/asktransgender

Some bras have shape, so make sure you get ones that are flat.
This one has stretchy shape areas, while this one is flat.

u/likethemooon · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I've had a lot of luck with this one. The listing says that it's for medium support but compared to other sports bras i've had, it definitely feels more like a light support sports bra.

u/KalphiteQueen · 2 pointsr/hsp

I found these amazing sports bras on Amazon that are comfy and actually give the classic bust shape instead of just smushing my ta tas like my old workout bras did. Sounds like they might be what you're looking for, and it's totally risk-free since they do free returns!

u/abrahamrdogowitzesq · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

I really love these!

FITTIN Racerback Sports Bras - Padded Seamless High Impact Support For Yoga Gym Workout Fitness With Removable Pads https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M327ZEP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iJA-BbA5ATST1

u/thejurassicjaws · 2 pointsr/ftm

I’m bigger than you and if I’m not binding, I pretty much just wear these . They’re not super supportive or anything but they don’t cup and they’re very plain and soft.

u/IlludiumQXXXVI · 2 pointsr/fitpregnancy

My opinion is that Gap leggings are the best, but Old Navy are a close runner up and less than 1/2 the price, so I go for those. I wore under bump until about 18 weeks and then switched to full panel, but it's all personal preference.

I went with these sports bras, and am loving them. I started at a 32DDD and am now a 34-36G and they still fit fine. Lots of support and still give some shape.

I love these tanks, which are not technically maternity, but have a great amount of stretch. I wear one as an undershirt every day and then wear it to the gym after work so it minimizes my laundry too, lol! I'm 30 weeks right now and they still fit fine, should last my whole pregnancy.

u/sparklyboots · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

This one's my fave! But be careful about sizing -- Anita's sizing is European, so you're out of their range if you're a UK G cup. But their sizes run a bit large in my experience, so it might work out for ya. Good luck!
http://www.amazon.com/Anita-Womens-Extreme-Control-Sport/dp/B001VH7UO0

EDIT: Just saw your size flair, so I think you're good to go w/ sizing :)

u/gotta_mila · 2 pointsr/muacjdiscussion

We're the same size lol! I usually get a small or medium and they fit me really well! I feel like they support me well enough, work well under thin shirts/tanks and they're comfortable! I ordered this one in size 36 but I'm always buying random "t shirt bra" or cami bras online bc I love them so much

u/oberstofsunshine · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I am very busty. I wear a 36H in regular bras but can get away with 36G and 38F in sports bras, which is good because those sizes are cheaper and more easily found. I buy my sports bras on Amazon, just finding ones with good reviews in my size. I never spend more than $30. My best support comes from this one. It's frumpy as hell but has amazing support.

I buy my leggings from Old Navy and Target. I love the Champion Freedom line. I wasn't a big fan of Old Navy's highest waisted leggings because I have to roll the waist band.

u/Owlyn · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

I'm a 34F and I love the Anita bras. Kind of on the pricey side, but I have had 3 and they are the best support I've ever found, and have lasted months.

u/FuckMeUpButtercup · 2 pointsr/ftm

These are sports bras, but they're what both I (non-binary/gender fluid) and my FTM boyfriend use.

MIRITY Women Racerback Sports Bras - High Impact Workout Gym Activewear Bra Color Black Grey Size S https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JLU3QGE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.u9hDb14ZCGCY

I am smaller chested, but he is a bit larger and these are his favorites from what he's told me. They work fairly well in my experience with them - and they are easy to double up if that's what you want. They do run a little small, so keep that in mind, but honestly, they've been great for us.

Edited to add: they definitely don't push anything up - especially if you take the pads out. They don't add anything feminine and definitely help flatten, IMO.

u/msacch · 2 pointsr/hsp

I recently bought these fruit of the loom bras on amazon. Originally for just wearing around the house, but they are super comfy and flattering and I wear them all the time now.

I’ve also gotten one similar to the one you linked at target. They have bralettes like that.

u/SuB2007 · 1 pointr/xxfitness

I bought this 2-pack of sports bras from Amazon for $10 a few months ago and I'm loving them. I'm usually a 30DD, and the smalls fit fine on me. They aren't too loose, aren't too tight, and feel very comfortable to run in.

u/Faelynn_s · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

Thank you, awww, both for the reply and for being so nice! I've tried three separate ones so far:

Puma Womens Seamless Sports Bra with Removable Cups:
http://www.amazon.com/Seamless-Sports-Removable-Purple-Large/dp/B01A6AX5ZU?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

This was the first one I bought when I started growing out, it had no actual band and cup sizes, so I guessed at a large from other reviewers on Amazon and the sizing chart, measuring under my breasts? It's definitely a little uncomfortably tight, but I can wear it throughout the day with no issues.

Fruit of the Loom Women's Cotton Pullover Sport Bra
http://www.amazon.com/Fruit-Loom-WomensCotton-Pullover-Sportsbra/dp/B0013XWDGC?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

This is the second one I bought, it comes with a band size, but no cup size listed. I purchased a band 38 and it's -definitely- the most uncomfortable one I own. It feels tight and gets annoying by the end of the day.

Fruit of the Loom Women's Built-Up Sports Bra
http://www.amazon.com/Fruit-Loom-WomensBuilt-Up-Sportsbra-Heather/dp/B0013Y6KGK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

I tried these ones last, and bought them in band size 40. Same as the last ones, they don't have a listed cup size. This one is a lot more comfortable, maybe about the same as the first one?

I'm sorry, and thank you for replying, I'll edit this into my original post!

Not a lady, but my girlfriend shares your problem. I was looking for running gear for her, and came across this on the sweethome:

Sweethome link

Amazon Link (not an affiliate link dont worry)

> Overall the Pro Rival hits the sweet spot for most runners, but if you have a DD-plus cup size, you might prefer the ultra-supportive Enell High Impact Sports Bra. It’s overkill (and it can feel restrictive) if you’re a C-cup or smaller, but Enell sets the standard for support when it comes to larger cup sizes. Lori Wahl looked to Enell for inspiration while designing bras at Asics and adidas, noting that Enell layers its fabrics to provide great bounce-back and recovery. “Women who buy this bra, you can’t pry it out of their hands,” Wahl said. You can count Sweethome editor Casey Johnston among its fans. “I’ve tried a lot of different sports bras, and there is simply nothing like the Enell,” she told me. “Absolutely nothing moves in there. I’ve had this bra lost or stolen three times, and have gone straight out to buy it again.” Our 42DD tester echoed those sentiments: “There’s no bounce. It’s pretty crazy,” she said after trying it on. “I feel like it’s supporting my back and correcting my posture very gently.” Enell spokesperson Mara Osborne explained to us that the bra’s extra back support comes from its full-coverage design: “It brings a woman’s shoulders up and back to alleviate the weight of heavier breasts.”

u/chucksluck · 1 pointr/xxfitness

I am the same chest size as you and feel your pain (literally). I have been doing the Strong Curves program and there are a lot of moves that really have helped my upper back and chest. Those being bent over rows, underhand grip pulldowns, good mornings and my chest has benefited a ton from bench press.

Also, I know a lot of people love the Panache, but it didn't work for me. Maybe the [Enell] (http://www.amazon.com/Enell-Maximum-Control-Wire-Free-Sports/dp/B000PCTM66/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450736357&sr=8-1&keywords=enell+sports+bra) would be good for you...its ugly as hell but holds the girls right where they need to be.

u/BAM225 · 1 pointr/running

Yes, I love these bras! Champion They are comfortable, don't ride up and keep the ladies in their place. Now, my boobs have always been on the smaller size (thanks running) so I found these really were the best. Plus they aren't too tight where I felt like it was restricting milk flow. Since I'm BF I wanted to make sure that my bras weren't too tight.

SYROKAN Women's Front Adjustable Lightly Padded Racerback High Impact Sports Bra Black 32B https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4S5Z3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dEIxCb8HGJEY4

Love these bras. They’re cup sized and you can adjust the straps to make them tighter if needed!

u/ElleKayB · 1 pointr/xxfitness

The women over at r/abrathatfits swear by a few when it comes to support

1 Panache sport there is also a wireless version and a sports top

2 shock absorber - I'm really not sure wick model they prefer, as I've never had luck with compression sports bras

3 Freya active this bra trends to have wider underwires then the panache, also an unwired

For any of these bras to work properly you will need to find your real bra size which does not involve adding 4 inches to the band

u/my-alter-ego-Melody · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

That's the last book I read!! I just posted that in this morning's post :) great book. I use this one but I'm on the small side so I don't need as much support.

u/pogafuisce · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

This is my go-to sports bra, I have three in 34H: Freya Women's Active Underwire Molded Sports Bra. The gore doesn't sit flush against my chest, but it's pretty close and keeps my boobs separated while running.

u/xchiroptera · 1 pointr/loseit

Give this bra a shot. I wear something like 34G and nothing moves for me. Also check out blogilates - her calenders are a mix of pilates, bodyweight workouts, stretching and high intensity cardio. It was/is really hard and I definitely saw results in strength. I also just started C25k but I wouldn't try to do both at the same time to start.

u/Caliyogagrl · 1 pointr/yoga

I’ve found that sticking with bra-size sports bras is best for me, this one being my favorite. I prefer it for anything besides yin and restorative (when I can get away with wearing a softer lounge style).

u/deng-meowping · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

I am the same size and struggle from a similar problem. I’d highly suggest trying out some Panache bras. They hold you in like grandma bras but also look super cute at the same time.

My faves right now are the Elan bra and this sports bra. Good luck!
