Here you go
I'd rather get 5 good games than 52 crappy ones
I got it from Amazon for 80 us dollars. The store is called flower style nds japan. It looks like they hiked up the price since I bought.
Here's the link
There's no mistake this is a beautiful Gameboy and you put a lot of effort into it.
I wanted to let you know two things about the hiragana you've used.
The second character is し, "shi." But rather than being curved, the angles are almost right angles, making it look more similar to the character む, "mu." The first time I saw this image, my immediate thought was "Yomu? [Read?] Why read?"
I also just checked and though "よし" would be read as "yoshi," Yoshi in Japanese is actually written ヨッシー. The first character is the katakana equivalent to よ. The second character is not "tsu," but is the small version of "tsu" which indicates a kind of pause or emphasis, difficult to describe. The following character is "shi" just as you have, and the final character is a dash indicating a longer pronunciation. If you wanted to write this in hiragana, it would be よっしー, but I could find no example of it being written in hiragana.
For reference, here is the Amazon Japan listing for Yoshi's Island (SNES). Future Yoshi's Island titles, like the GBA remake and DS and 3DS games, also use this spelling.

EDIT: changed my description of little "tsu" because I don't want to argue with the internet over what it means.
Just like the NESCE, Prima had a tie-in Playing With Super Power book that launched with the SNESCE. There is a HC and SC edition.
I don’t own it; I can’t speak to its contents. But I’m sure there are lots of reviews to consult.
Edit: Link fixed (I think)
I love the feel of the actual hardware too, so you can still have every single game for a bit less than that.(which might not be truly unopened, just resealed console)
Just buy the SD2SNES or Everdrive for 150.00

Playing With Super Power: Nintendo Super NES Classics https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0744018706?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
And excellent book but only covers the first party titles on the snes classic so no final fantasy or contra coverage.

If you want wireless retro controllers, you could use these wireless SNES controllers with one of these SNES-to-USB adapters. Also, a regular Xbox 360 controller with one of these receivers would work (even though it says "for Windows," i believe there are good Linux drivers for Xbox 360 controllers). The controller connections will all be USB, with whatever USB adapters you want.
Edit: the SNES-to-USB eBay link I had posted went dead. Replaced it with a different one from Amazon.
This beast is still sold and rather affordably as well. I'd be interested to hear how it works for you. I've considered buying it to backup game saves before replacing my aging batteries.

Behemoth uses a Wii.
They should be identical in most regards. Though I haven't seen any test for it, I'd have to imagine that a wireless Wii controller would introduce some input lag, probably no more than the emulator you already use though. Given the main reason to switch to console in the first place is to eliminate that lag.
That aside the Wii version would be quite a bit cheaper as a cart typically runs $40+ USD. If you intend to use save states for practice, the Wii will have you covered, of course. For SNES you'd need to pick up either a Nakitek Game Saver (cheap option), or an SD2Snes or Super Everdrive and load up a practice ROM.
But what if everything on my list is nerdy D:. Maybe these They're wireless SNES controllers, hell yeah.
Speaking of SNES books, does anyone know much about the SNES "Playing with Super Power" book I keep seeing everywhere? Is the publisher any good?
Amazon link if anyone else prefers getting it there: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0744018706/
The hardcover edition is also still widely available!
You could always buy this for $7.51
https://www.amazon.com/Third-Party-SNES-Snap-Replacement-Cartridge/dp/B01A06459K/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1492754025&sr=1-1&keywords=snes+cartridge
Then get some shipping labels like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000093L1J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and find a SNES sticker template online and print your own out..
Just a thought.. Curious to see how it comes out though
Messiah SNES Wireless Controllers are fantastic. They will run you $100ish on Ebay. It's a bit thicker than a normal SNES controller. It uses micro switches so it's a little softer, but a lot more durable. While that looks like an analog stick, it's really more of a hat over 4 switch d-pad. Overall it matches the size and shape near perfectly and it's hands down the best wireless snes controller solution.
RetroBit the Retro Duo guys make another wireless controller. It's got a weird shape, buttons in he wrong place, a crap d-pad, and it will miss button presses through crossed legs. It's such crap that even RPGs are a bitch to play.
Before you cheap out and buy the Retroport one or decided and go the emulator route, I will tell you that the Messiah controller is easily worth twice the going rate in terms of getting a quality classic SNES experience.
I remember the Woolworth's in downtown Milwaukee, WI closing. We went there sometime before Christmas that year. Super NES games were on sale and we got to pick out several including Super Star Wars and Super Empire Strikes Back. That takes me back a ways. Geez.
DON'T GET BIT
This was my first zombie encounter
I find these to be my favorite 3rd party, old or new, and they also make them in a wired version that I love as well:
http://www.amazon.com/SuperRetro-Wireless-Controller-Dual-RETROBIT/dp/B0083LSCZ8/ref=sr_1_9?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1409939339&sr=1-9&keywords=SNES+retro-bit+controller
Here you go not as good as if you had done it yourself but hey it works (I think)
They did it back in the 90's.

Then the next cheapest adapter option that requires no modification at all is a Nakitek Game Saver + which will also allows you to save state your games. Alternative adapters would include the Innovation Super 8 (NES/Famicom adapter) and the Super UFO Pro 8 (an SD card based flash cartridge based on the old floppy disk copiers), but for the price that those two are going for these days, it would be much cheaper to get a SFC.
I strongly encourage you replace the battery in the cartridge but you can also get this accessory that can save your progress. It only saves your progress for one game, though.
Which console's everdrive were you thinking of getting? The SNES has a device called a Nakitek Game Saver, which is relatively cheap and allows you to create save states on games. It's a neat tool.
or on amazon. here, about 20-30
How about a remake or just a straight port/rerelease of Aerobiz Supersonic.
Found a link on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Populous-Super-Nintendo/dp/B000035Y24/ref=cm_cr_srp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
http://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Gaiden-Trilogy-Super-Nintendo/dp/B00002SW3O
Snes trilogy.
bit pricy tho
definitely a game I've replayed as an adult. such a good game.
Wow only 199.95!
http://www.amazon.com/Illusion-Gaia-Super-Nintendo/dp/B00002SVFX
Batman Suit.
I hear this is rad so why not get it for yourself? Just think of all the rad times you could have. DO IT. NOW.
And for me, This super rad Super Nintendo game would be super rad. (I'm assuming you can gift used items? There should be a used copy to ship right at or under $30) I recently made the decision to collect old games and my main interest is the SNES and kind of the NES so this game would be a super rad addition to my collection. I've played it before and its frustrating as all hell compared to the newer ones we're used to, but I love it and need it.
not for sale, but you can get it on Amazon for pretty cheap http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00002SVFM/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Which is a pretty good deal on amazon right now.
Yes. More balanced than older SF games. Read some reviews and you'll know how good it is. http://www.amazon.com/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Super-Nintendo/dp/B0009P58HG
I spent 10 edit: minutes scoping out a physical copy. For those who don't know, only release was in Japan on Super Famicom.
Typical eBay pile of fake reproduction carts, including with unauthorized use of fan translation. Let's skip those.
Including shipping, one Buy It Now CIB for $60. Loose is $34-40, though bidding should be cheaper in the end.
As Gundam Wing was much more popular outside of Japan (Toonami!), worth looking at Japanese auctions. No eBay in Japan but Yahoo Auctions is popular and Rakuten and Amazon also worth checking. Should definitely be cheaper for CIB. I don't think worth the proxy bidding and shipping fees for loose.
You mean $26 right?
