Adjustable Stand for iPad Pro & Pencil, Designed for Professionals and Designers

does it what you want ?

u/godelbrot · 14 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

It's a bit on the pricey side at $39.99 USD

but the fact that it's sturdy, allows charging, and takes up so little space that it should fit in pretty much every Switch case to me makes it a winner.

Runner up was the Arkon Folding Tablet Stand much cheaper, but not quite as sturdy, significantly larger (won't fit in most Switch Cases), and would likely require a right-angled USB C cable to charge while in use.

edit

If the price of the Compass V2 throws you off, the original Compass V1 goes for like 15 bucks on Amazon and it's actually slimmer then the V2 but apparently less sturdy.

edit 2

also there is a cheapo version of it for 10 bucks but I can't attest to its quality. Thanks u/doublespoiler and u/soma04 for the tip.

u/PC_Deals · 12 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Custom built for commercial. Thought about it and the lack of availability and the multiple options required for all vehicles will make this interesting.

This might work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010GS5YL0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_b3VQybCXK7ADN

More expensive but looks better built: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GUPPGSA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_64VQybZ08VVJM

I bought the good one on Amazon if you search "Nintendo Switch Bed Mount" I believe its the $19 one. It is solid and totally enjoyable to play in bed with the joy cons. You can lay in any position and the joy cons make it possible. everyone appreciate the Link https://www.amazon.com/EasyAcc-Nintendo-GooseneckCellphone-Rotating-Flexible/dp/B01J19TE84/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494610050&sr=8-2&keywords=nintendo+switch+bed+mount

u/sparksdls · 5 pointsr/iPadPro

What about this -

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGRK4Y9/

The version with just the stand is much less expensive.

u/pewpewlefty · 5 pointsr/vandwellers

It looks like a homemade track using an 80/20 track, a RAM iPad mount, a RAM Long Double Socket Arm, a couple RAM mounts (can't tell which ones from the picture) and some assorted hardware to make the slider work. I think 80/20 has a sliding attachment, but you’ll have to browse their site to be sure.

u/Equinoxe · 4 pointsr/headphones

I'm looking forward to seeing the final product. Maybe a square base would take up a little less desk space than the current hexagonal design.

And for anyone wanting a similar stand but not in the mood for DIY, the PUREX tablet desk mount can be re-purposed for a very similar effect, as demonstrated by /u/ZeosPantera: Z Review - Ultimate Headphone Stand.

Edit: clee290 beat me to it while writing up the comment.

u/Karpfenschleuder · 3 pointsr/nintendo

An adjustable tablet stand like this might work as well if you want to have more than just the three angles of the licensed one.

u/kitt_lite · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I'm getting the pdp screen protector, and maybe this...

u/caffpowered · 3 pointsr/battlestations

Reddit liked my last battlestation, so I decided to post my new, more portable solution.

My new battlestation was made under slightly more constraints. Everything I own fits into a single suitcase, as I moved to a New York City for work. When I got here, I found that my two laptops made a very unergonomic and uncomfortable workstation. TO remedy that problem, I sourced a few parts of Amazon.

I bought a stand for my tablet, two laptop stands meant for DJs, a wireless mouse and keyboard and a kneeling chair. Everything breaks down and fits into my suitcases except for the chair, which I would probably leave behind if I am forced to move again.

The tablet is used as a TV. I use it to watch documentaries, shows streamed from youtube, hulu, netflix or thepiratebay. The internal speakers on the tablet are a bit quiet, so I have them streaming to a Logitech UE Boom Mini. I've owned the two laptops since starting university - a Lenovo x200, and a x201 I bought a few years later to replace the x200 when it stopped detecting a battery. They're both pretty old now, but the x201 still manages to play league of legends (barely). The x200 (right) is hooked up to a set of Steelseries Siberia v3 headphones that I use for skype, or music / shows when my roommates are watching something else on the big TV, or are having loud sex. A small and surprisingly weak fan is constantly plugged in and does do a bit to keep me cool. I'll have to revisit the cooling solution when summer hits again.

I've considered upgrading the laptops, but then I figured I shouldn't be spending a lot of time inside gaming anyways. Instead, I bought a new snowboard for the upcoming season.

u/unusedredditname · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Here. Inexpensive, simple, and strong enough to withstand the kids for years now. Though they can unscrew the knob and the nuts are not captive. That was quite a goose chase... Otherwise they've been great. And that Surface is heavy for being that high up and at that angle, so very solid.

u/DoubleSpoiler · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Yeah, I use mine with a cheap version of this (which is no longer available, it looks like) in tabletop mode so I can charge/play at the same time. Using an angled charger with one like this should allow you to get even more possibilities for angles, and of course, you have the upside of not having to worry if you're resting the Switch on your stomach.

u/iamthatis · 2 pointsr/iOSProgramming

I use this: https://www.amazon.ca/MoKo-Universal-Rotatable-Aluminum-Smartphone/dp/B00OXR0H0O/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1479416298&sr=8-8&keywords=adjustable+iphone+stand+moko

There's a lot of standard nightside dock solutions that I really didn't like. Those seem geared to being able to read a notification when you're lying in bed or something, but while developing I found the angle to be far too vertical; a more or less 45° angle is what I'm looking for.

That product does a great job, as you can adjust it to virtually any angle, can even charge with it unlike some other products (obviously necessary for dev work), and there's a gap in the middle that makes tapping the home button trivial.

Only gripe is that I wish it was "dockable" like the nightside docks, where you can just slide it in. May jury-rig something to hold the lightning cable firmly in place, but it does a good job.

u/Majorkmusic · 2 pointsr/ipad

I use this with my 10.5” iPad Air 3 and love it so much!

u/tbabby · 2 pointsr/ipad

I would invest in a case or a stand. I just have a standard case with only one option for landscape mode and it’s fine. But I usually keep my iPad on the nightstand. I also have this stand

And the Mac is extremely durable. The only reason mine needed repairs was because I was drunk and dumb which doesn’t pair well with hot chocolate but even then, my Apple care took care of it. When I had a windows I was buying a new one every year and don’t even get me started on the viruses and the updates. I don’t know if updates are still a problem with windows but I got a Mac back when the problem was at its height and I’m so glad I did

u/mes09 · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I use a different version of this for my iPad and it works great in bed for movies/reading.

u/exiledfathom · 2 pointsr/Surface

I think what you are describing is a mounting arm. Amazon carries a few. I linked one that is a clamp mount and one that is a stand style below:

https://www.amazon.com/ChargerCity-Release-Telescopic-Samsung-Microsoft/dp/B00SM4A9D4

https://www.amazon.com/AboveTEK-Heavy-Aluminum-Gooseneck-Holder/dp/B00X8C39J6

If you want to go the DIY route, a Microsoft engineer designed a VESA compatible dock that is pretty cool as well. You will need access to a 3D printer however, but it is a cool concept non the less.

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/danchar/2015/06/30/3-in-1-dock-a-microsoft-garage-project-for-surface-pro-3/

Hope this helps!

u/JeanieTortellini · 2 pointsr/FathersDayGifts

If your dad has an iPad / tablet, this could be a GREAT idea. TBH I do work for this company but we get tons of people recovering from surgery glowing about how useful this is. It's called tstand iPad holder for bed and you can get it here on Amazon. Not too late if you got prime.

u/nomosecrets · 2 pointsr/ipad

I love the cases on my iPads. I love how minimal it is yet protective. (Although not super protective) I have this stand but I’d prefer this stand but I haven’t been able to talk myself into a $30 tablet stand.

u/lolMFya · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

i only play handheld, enjoy.

this is also a god send

u/grizzlyblake91 · 2 pointsr/Surface

The stand that the SP4 is in is this stand from Amazon. I really like how sturdy it is, and it wasn't expensive.

The other stand is this basic tablet stand from Amazon that I use for my iPad mini, which I take to school and work and take all my class notes on that.

u/Cassaroll168 · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I got one of these and it's worked out great. Can finally play laying down with the monitor right over my face but it's great for seated play too.

u/sahaskatta · 2 pointsr/Surface

Had the same issue, but assumed mine was just defective.

I'm now using this one which works great, sadly it's not an arm but takes up space on my desk: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B0SE4OI/

I also noticed this one, but have not tried it yet: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I1N7MVC/

u/Naomarius · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

FYI this one comes with 3 mounts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X8C39J6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

One for phone, another for a tablet sideways or the switch or one that is super extend long ways for the switch. Perfect for being suspended and able to charge at the same time.

MoKo Foldable Tablet Stand, Universal Adjustable Portable Metal Holder Cradle for 9-12.9 Inch Tablets PC, Fit Apple iPad Air 2 / 3 / 4 / iPad Pro 9.7" / iPad Pro 12.9" / Samsung Tab E 9.6" 2015, BLACK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017TU2WGS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_KhDuybK3SZTF3

I'm using this without any issues. Cheap, very portable, folds nearly flat.

I also have a Bluetooth keyboard and the two together make the WMSP very useable, as both a tablet and laptop sort of thing. It looks really sleek.

Edit:
Going to add that I don't draw using a stand. I just use the one I posted for a more vertical screen when using a keyboard and things.
More often than not, a little beanbag or two is more than enough to prop up the tablet for drawing...more versatile and easier to use also.

u/daphatty · 1 pointr/raspberry_pi

How about something like this? I use a smaller version in my car for my phones. Since I upgrade phones frequently, I never have to worry about buying a custom fit mount.

So you'd want something in the realm of this right?

u/DJApoc · 1 pointr/ipad

I have the same one (or one by the same OEM, but different branding). It's definitely solid, especially for the price. My only gripe (could be a pro to some) is how sticky the base pad is. Wherever you put it, don't plan on moving it around a lot.

This is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015FH0XKE/

I had a clamp like that for my ipad, but I sent it back because the arm just wasn't quite long enough. Just couldn't get the right angle. Instead I ordered a different clamp that attaches my ipad to my laptop so I can watch a movie on my ipad and browse the internet from bed at the same time.

u/tanr-r · 1 pointr/wacom

I have a 13HD on a home-made VESA adapter connected to an Ergotron Arm and really like the setup.

If you are talking a tabletop stand, and are okay with just landscape orientation you can use:

u/PikaBonk · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Yeah, phone stands work. I saw an ipad stand at Daiso for $1.50 the other week as well. I feel like an ipad stand might be more reasonable. Actually, I found the exact stand that Daiso was selling here. Except Amazon is charging 7x more for it.

This one is pretty versatile. Ignore the diagram that says "up to an 8" tablet", you're looking at the larger one.

u/mrbubbles916 · 1 pointr/flying

I use the twist lock mount and stick it to the piece of windhsield that is next to the panel to my left. Depending on position, it could obstruct the ASI but it really hasn't bothered me. Just lean slightly to see it or reposition the mount. I love it though.

Twist lock mount

Long Arm - There is also a short arm.

Tablet holder - I find that this holds way better than I was expecting it to. I often take the entire assembly with me to golf courses. I mount the setup to the front windshield of a golf cart. With all the bouncing around you experience driving a golf cart around I have never had the tablet fall out or have had the suction mount come off. Pretty impressive. That's just me though.

Also, I mainly use this for IFR only. For VFR I just keep the tablet in my lap because I only reference it when I need to. In IFR I like to have the information right in front of me without having to look away.

This one. Are you using the wireless TKL Filco? Sounds like a sweet setup either way.

u/JacobusSpades · 1 pointr/Surface

(Disclaimer: This post assumes no hardware defects with either unit; plenty of people have been reporting problems with the Surface Pro 2017 and the Surface Pen being used together, see this sticky. As far as I know the SB2 doesn't have this issue.)

I'd personally give the edge for drawing to the Surface Pro just for the kickstand. You can kind of get the same thing by reversing the Clipboard and propping up the Book in the same way but it's not quite as stable and takes up more space. Of course since the i5 model doesn't have the dGPU in the base you can just as easily detach the Clipboard and prop it up on something like this. If you typically draw with the tablet flat/near flat on the table though it's a moot point as either will do.

I don't have enough experience typing on the Surface Book to say which is better but I love typing using the Type Cover on my Pro 4. The scissor switch keys have just enough travel, the layout is much better spaced that previous Type Covers, and the magnets holding it at an angle let you choose between the incline or flat orientation (the flat is more comfortable than you'd think). With the Surface Book of course you'll get a more traditional typing experience, including it being much more "lapable".

Finally, if you're willing to drop down to the 128GB SSD on the Book you can actually get it cheaper than the equivalent Surface Pro ($1,199 vs $1,299), whereas with the Pro you'll want to factor in the cost of the Type Cover (pretty much a necessity) which will put it at ~$1,430 USD.

u/mike73448 · 1 pointr/AppleArcade

Check this out. It doesn't require you clip it onto a table.

CR-200s are getting pretty old and are prone to several common failures so it would be a risky move. If you have it hopefully you can deal with the tiny screen, we had to use a stylus on ours, no regrets the day it blew smoke and died.

I went for a bit more expensive Android tablet, looking for longer support times. I picked up a Samsung that was on sale at Costco. It is an excellent option with a 7" screen, big enough for our fat fingers and blurry eyes.

Added a stand and a magnetic power cable and it is easily portable or left sitting as a Sonos status display.

I had seen that one and it looks like a good value one. I also saw this one. Do you know any other stands that clamp the tablet down, so it does not move?

u/ragequick10 · 1 pointr/tablets

Unfortunately I haven't used any stands with a clamp.

The only other tablet stand I've used is this one. It is heavier than the amazon basics one so it is less likely to slip, and the build quality is pretty good. Though it isn't as heavy as the one you linked to, so that might be better.

u/rada_rada_lag · 1 pointr/disability

I am a fan of the Ram brand mounts. I would recommend this arm with this holder. You will just need to mount it to your bed or wall above her.

CPU is non overclockable but you could get the K edition and upgrade to a Z97 motherboard if you want to overclock.

Solid State drive for your OS and a few of your favorite games. This will make sure load times are as short as possible. A 1TB HDD for whatever you want to store.

Video card is great.

Went for a small case so you can tuck it away in a corner somewhere.

Power Supply is gold certified so it isn't a huge electricity waster (importance will be obvious in a second).

OS.

But, you'd rather have the portability of a laptop! I have the solution.

Step Two: Get an Nvidia Shield Tablet, this awesome case, and whatever accessories you want (shield controller, microusb to ethernet adapter, microusb to usb hub so you can connect a USB mouse and keyboard in addition to the ethernet adapter).

Step Three: Enjoy Gamestream.
