What I want to know is who uses $10 worth of toilet paper a month. One could buy about 24 rolls for about $10, how can an individual use this much tp in a month? Unless kids still tp houses these days.

I had the same problem. I found a fix at a B&B I was staying at. Last year I finally found it on Amazon: Extender Adapter. Life is Good, now.

The compressed paper tablets are awesome. Very compact, light, and durable. The tubes that come with them store about 10 pieces. Add some water to a bottle cap and drop it in and unroll it. Then you have a wet wipe! They are multipurpose because they are so durable and dry and absorbent. Just quickly crush one between your teeth with out getting too much saliva on it and you will be able to unroll it and have a dry absorbent durable napkin or towel. I was actually able to use a couple like this to dry off after a shower when I didn’t have a towel and hold on to them for later use because they are so durable. I usually only need one per bowel movement, sometimes two. They can be folded numerous times to get multiple wipes/passes from them. There are many different sellers and manufacturers making them at this point. I recommend getting one that comes with the storage tube. They weigh about 2.4 grams a piece and diameter is somewhere between the diameter of a nickel and a dime. Here is the pack I got:

Portawipes Compressed Toilet Paper Tablet Coin Tissues - 500 Bulk Starter Pack with 4 Carrying Cases https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074K2CSQL

They are also great as an everyday carry item in case you get stuck with cheap sandpaper or none at all when traveling about. They also would make a nice face wipe.

I enjoyed the book, but at 15.99 for only 439 sheets the pricetag is a little steep. I recommend this product, not only do you get more sheets, it's a fraction of the price with the same 3 star rating.

I'm disappointed that you didn't go for this.

So? They do some variation of this with every major politician, including Pence and Clinton. The only real difference here is the one with the tweets costs $12 for a single roll.

>A single roll of the two-ply paper goes for $11.99 on Amazon, slightly less than the $12.95 that it costs for a role of toilet paper with pictures of Trump’s face.

u/szor · 6 pointsr/Wishlist

Here you go. $35.36 after prime day savings, clipped coupon, and subscribe and save. At least, when I was ordering. Deals are constantly changing today, so YMMV.

If you buy 3 of the "family size" rolls, it bumps your total over $60, and there's a prime day savings for $20 off $60 for household goods that you score. It's really only a good deal if you buy the 3 x 36 for 108 rolls, which will double as a fun game called "where the fuck do I put all of these?"

You get 5% off if you do subscribe and save (just cancel it after it ships and you're fine) or 15% off if you subscribe and save for 4 other items, too. I found good deals also on paper towel, dishwasher tabs, Tide pods, and bandaids, all of which were things I needed to buy soon anyways, so I got the full 15% off.

No you just buy it. For example, here's a case of toilet paper and case of paper towels. They will arrive in the manufacturer's box (not in an Amazon box). Markings indicating what they are and the brand are visible upon delivery.

These are the BOMB the paper feeds out through the front of the plastic so it stays pristine.

Because it's the quality of ply that matters more than the quantity.

I swear by this stuff even though it's 1 ply because it has more sheets than other 2 ply but feels just as soft. Meanwhile in a lot of public bathrooms they have industrial 2-ply which still feels bad since it's just two pieces of sandpaper quality tp stuck together

u/dwaxman · 2 pointsr/CrohnsDisease

While traveling in Europe for my honeymoon with my wife I learned quickly that some parts of the world do not have toilets like I was used to in America. I was amazed at the conditions, the fact that some toilets you had to pay to use, and when you got in there sometimes they didn't even have toilet paper. In some cases, they didn't even have a space for toilet paper to be kept.

I suggest you make sure you have:

  • Travel Toilet Paper - I have this on Amazon Subscribe and Save
  • A small bar of soap in a closing soap container - Some people swear by hand sanitizer but there have been numerous studies that show that constant use of these products reduce your bodies ability to handle bacteria and could maker you get sick more easily.
  • Learn how to ask for a bathroom and explain it's an emergency in EVERY language you'll use.
  • A way to communicate with whomever you'll be there with. Long range walkie talkies, cell phones etc. But if you need help or for them to find you a product etc ...

Scott brand makes tubeless. I've been using it for years, at home and on trail. Not the scratchy kind either.

u/bbob1976 · 2 pointsr/preppers

Here's my favorite, cost effective source of a good paper (not the really thin commercial stuff.) Can be bought in large quantities and ships for free. Easy to store. Much, much more paper than typical brands.

u/flat_bitcoin · 2 pointsr/Buttcoin

It's cheaper on Amazon, and you can get 15% off if you buy with Bitcoin there.

u/valdus · 1 pointr/firstworldproblems

The solution in white or shiny. We all know shiny is better, and its the more expensive of the two so it must be good.

u/ecocentric_life · 1 pointr/IAmA

I mean, trees are an arguably scratchy source material but turns out fine. Usually tree-free stuff is bamboo which is very soft

Just found this ridiculous take on it though, so I can see why you would think it'd be expensive. 4 ply bamboo toilet paper... limited edition Christmas themed 🤦‍♀️ 🙅‍♂️ https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07XYW3VD7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8A1ZDbAQKQ50B

So maybe try virgin tree free paper aka recycled paper instead 😂 tends to be cheaper

I made similar list for myself and I found these to be helpful, best value per dollar items.

This is a really rough month where I'm staying. We've got food stamps so we're OK there, but we could use a few household items.

Thank you!

Something like this or this I'd guess.

Or this or this.

u/Tiny311 · 1 pointr/bodybuilding

stuff like this is what I think of when talking about premium toilet paper. Maybe I'm living in a different world than others, but thats the same price as charmin and angel soft

u/Apocalypstix · 1 pointr/Frugal

If you have somewhere to store all of it I suggest buying toilet paper online. I buy this one here, just as good as the name brands.

u/calebPH · 1 pointr/pics

Ahem... On a typical run to the store for toilet paper, I would always just pick up whatever was the cheapest or on sale. One day, after a particularly bad string of rolls during a time of particularly bad Taco Bell, I had decided that enough was enough.

There are a lot of toilet paper brands, each with their own Strong, Soft, and Basic variants. Several websites recommend Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care. My Walmart didn't have it in stock. The runner-up always seemed to be Charmin Ultra Strong, but every time I had encountered that in my travels, I never felt satisfied. After much deliberation, I decided I'd treat myself and went with Quilted Northern's Ultra Plush. This toilet paper was by far the most luxurious I've ever encountered. At $16.97, it was the most I've spent on toilet paper ever, but now I'll never go back to anything else.

It’s 3 ply. The jump from awful 1 ply hotel bathroom sandpaper to normal 2 ply I had used through a large part of my life is considerable. You can clearly tell the difference. I thought that no person would ever need more than 2 layers, but I was so wrong. 3 layers is an even bigger leap of luxury. Not only is it extremely strong and incredibly soft, but you use much less than you do with 2 ply. It cut my usage in half! Sharing a bathroom with 2 other people, we typically last a week per roll. When we made the switch, it seemed like we were never going to run out of the first roll. It lasts forever. It's $25.99 on Amazon (smile.amazon link because animals and the conservation and welfare of them are cool) for 24 rolls. I know, it sounds like a lot of money and toilet paper. As a poor post-college Millennial, I don’t always have a lot of extra funds to throw around, but you buy this giant pack and you’re done buying toilet paper for the next couple of months. Dare I say, if I lived alone, used it conservatively as a man, I think I could stretch these 24 rolls into almost a whole year (note: this is not true at all, but it feels right)!

All that being said, I’m still desperate to invest in a bidet.

EDIT: Quick disclaimer: Despite me saying I’d never go back to anything else, I am indeed on some other toilet paper right now. My roommate bought Quilted Northern’s regular toilet paper by mistake and it’s not nearly as good. We’ve unanimously agreed to switch back to Ultra Plush as soon as we’re done with this stuff.

I'd probably lean towards something more like this: Portawipes Compressed Toilet Paper Tablet Coin Tissues. Skip to 3:19 in this video to see one opened. I know some people have sensitive ... areas though and these look pretty tough so you may want to consider other brands.

But also liberals ...

I've never seen these smaller rolls before and I've been buying Angel Soft for a while.

I checked out Amazon to see what the double roll packaging looks like, and it looks exactly the same: http://www.amazon.com/Angel-Soft-Double-Tissue-Count/dp/B00I8DS5DA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1414731949&sr=8-2&keywords=angel+soft

If both the mini-rolls and the "double" rolls (which I would just call a normal roll of TP) have the 60% more label, something is definitely wrong.
