I've got a toddler who just learned how to potty train, and a 19yo that did so about 18 years ago (both my kids decided they didn't like using diapers are one year old, they both trained really early).

NOBODY ON THE PLANET has used fucking latex in at least twenty years.

Do not let them even pretend that it's normal to put fucking LATEX under a child who wets the bed. You put absorbing pads under them -not latex- ever, latex is literally useless for bedwetting, plus many many people are allergic.

Even fucking mattress covers that prevent wetness from reaching the mattress are NOT MADE OF LATEX.. So she's not even saying a valid or believable excuse.

Your ex husband is just surreal for having fallen for this. This is absolutely fucking atrocious, and she is a DISGUSTING excuse for a fucking human.

I'm so glad you're ok. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but I will be the one to point out that you've dodged a huge bullet here. If she had a brain, she could have convinced him to go out to dinner or something with her, "since you're sleeping anyways", and he wouldn't have been able to phone an ambulance to save you. She could have distracted him long enough that you couldn't be revived. Thank $deity you're ok. Seriously, you got the fuck out before you were actually murdered by this Jocasta-esque madwoman. Let them suffer while you succeed in finding someone who actually loves you, well doesn't have a murderous fucking mother trying to kill you.

OMG I'm so glad you're ok. Please please let me know if you need anything, if you need any hotel money or clothes or anything, please just PM me and I'll help any way I can. I'm so sorry, and so thankful you're ok.

Now go kick some fucking ass, without anyone holding you back!

That Liberator throw is expensive!!

My girl squirts after she gets some wine in her so I bought a couple of these to place under us and they work perfectly! I would recommend at least two because you probably aren't going to want to reuse it until it has been washed.

I have the same problem. Got tired of changing sheets so I got Hospital bed pads from Amazon; I have 2 ones I keep on standby.
They wash well over and over (mine are a few years old and are still like new and they get washed a few times a week).

I’m so so sorry. I managed my pup’s epilepsy for almost 9 years. Everything below is shared with the best intentions, and is based on my experiences only - I’m not a vet or anything.

I did CBD for the first several years after my pup’s initial seizures without conventional meds - but I did a massive dose each day (probably the recommended dose for your pup, and my guy was 13 lbs). Maybe try it again?

I also did during-seizure Valium rectally. It didn’t stop the current seizure, but it safeguarded against cluster seizures. Don’t let them compound it into plastic - it will degrade the Valium almost immediately. I got a glass vial and drew up a syringe, took off the needle, and put it in him via needle-less syringe. It’s not as hard as it may sound.

The other thing that made things slightly easier was jumbo quilted made-for-human pee pads. Not doggie ones. Doggie ones actually have attractant to encourage peeing on them. I spread the pee pads on the floor of my master bathroom. When pup had a seizure, I’d get him in the bathroom, basically carrying him with a blanket, and the pads helped ease cleanup (even a little helps). I just laid the blanket on the pee pads. For the last 2 years there were pads under blankets on my bed, on his bed, in his crate, and during seizures in the bathroom.

Medline Heavy Absorbency Underpads, 36" x 36" Quilted Fluff and Polymer Disposable Underpad, 50 Per Case, Great Protection as Bed Pads and Pee Pads https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002NHIFNW

Please don’t feel bad about crating him after the seizure. The post ictal period can be an hour or so, and they are super disoriented. Crating would keep him safe and secure.

I’m thinking of you, and sending you a virtual hug.

Or black, or dark brown, or a mottled/floral print that can hide dark-red/brown spots.

If the wetness even soaks through a blanket or towel, consider using a waterproof blanket or washable underpad you can just throw on top of your regular sheets for sexytimes.

Buy these. 4 PACK - 34x36 Waterproof Reusable Incontinence Underpads / Washable Incontinence Bed Pads - Green, Tan, Pink and Blue - Great for adults, kids and pets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012XAP9DM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KJZ3AbS05JNG3

Same things we use in hospitals.

u/darthjenni · 8 pointsr/Alzheimers

Have you set up alarms? Not only for bathroom breaks, but also for taking pills, and meals. A regular schedule will help her, has much as it will help you.

As for saving your poor couch and bed Washable Underpads are your friend. Have one of them under her at all times. When she wets herself, you can toss it in the wash with her other soiled clothes. They also make disposables

u/melissappled · 7 pointsr/sex

Alternatively, if you don't feel like spending hundred(s) of dollars, buy an underpad from Amazon. Same concept, significantly cheaper, just as effective.

I think this is the brand I bought last time, but any should do.

For PP care (uncomplicated vaginal birth, 1st degree tear) I used Depends Adult Diapers (maybe 20? Had a few left over), Dermoplast (the blue can!!!), Tucks Pads, and made padsicles (20ish) before hand (extra large maxi pads, alo vera gel, alcohol free witch hazel, a spattering of tea tree oil, pop in freezer). Hands down would recommend. My hospital didn't send me home with any supplies so I'm glad I went ahead and got some "just in case" items before hand. The adult diapers were pretty much like wearing comfy granny panties, not at all "diaper feeling" like I thought they'd be, and I could pop a padsicle in every few hours easy peasy without worrying about ruining underpants or leaking everywhere. Once the Depends needed to be changed out I'd just trash the whole thing and start fresh. No clean up - 10/10.

Pricing everything out I've listed (lazily) on Amazon my "kit" would be around $80, but you can find these things for much cheaper in CVS or your local drug store. Looking at the quantities included in your kit I'm thinking you'd have to buy additional products anyway (more pads for sure, more briefs most likely, and I'm not sure how easy it is to clean the compresses but the padsicles are awesome and disposable, major plus in my book). I'm not sure it's as great a kit as it looks at first glance.

ETA - I didn't need these for PP care but I do love having chux for the kiddo. I have a few in the diaper bag and lay them on nasty public changing tables before I lay down his changing pad for an extra layer of protection (and so I don't drag a dirty pad back into the diaper bag).

You want disposable incontinence pads that they have in hospitals/nursing homes, like this. There is a Good Nights version for kids, but I bet the plain ones would be cheaper. Pretty sure you could get these in pharmacies in the geriatrics section.

u/South_in_AZ · 6 pointsr/sex

Or sisposable chux pads or washable and reusable under pads

u/potator · 5 pointsr/actuallesbians

This is the one that I got. They're very reasonably priced for the quality that you get. The top feels like a stiff terry cloth, but it's waterproof. They reviews are somewhat mixed about washing them, but generally, people who've washed them on gentle with cold water and air dried had good results.

I still recommend using towels whenever possible (or one of these(NSFW) or these (disposable, but can be slightly uncomfortable and squick people who are turned off by medical supplies)). There is a little bit of stiffness to the mattress protector, but that's easily remedied by a mattress pad if it bothers you.

~~~The more you know~~~
We use washable chux
We are a 20 minute drive from the hospital and husband will not leave my side, so I'd like to get everything in. I'm a notorious overpacker, too, but I'd rather have something I don't need than have not have something that I do need.
OP: I solved by putting this one on top of my waterproof mattress protector and under my silk sheets, I got the 34x52 one:
Vive Washable Incontinence Bed Pad - Heavy Duty, Absorbent Waterproof Urinary Mattress Protector - Overnight Sheet, Reusable Dry Bed Wetting Urinary Underpad Mattress Protection - Elderly Seniors, Kid https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZZ00G0Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rtQ1DbN8YG8VH
It also works very well for period sex (I’ve burgundy sheets and a red towel that I put on top to prevent it from staining, but I also bleach it or wash on the sanitizer cycle as well).
u/Jacinator · 2 pointsr/stepparents
Saddle Style Reusable Waterproof Bed Pad - Made in America (34" X 36")- 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078KVNNGD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xOmZAbD2T9K30
Try this style bed pad to help protect your mattress .
Also, there’s a product called bio-kleen that works well to eliminate urine smell. You can buy it on amazon but I’ve also seen it at Whole Foods in the laundry section
u/Candysoycheese · 2 pointsr/beyondthebump
Omg that picture! It's like a sneaker rat king. No, not stupid, funny as all heck! Thank you
Ugh auto correct chux*.
Sometimes people have them for pets or if you have an older relative or work in the medical field you may have seen these before. Really useful.
u/quinkygirl · 1 pointr/ketogonewild
No. They are awesome. Puppy pads are an emergency backup for camping or hotel rooms and the like. I used to soak through 8 folded up towels at once before I discovered these pads. They can absorb an insane amount of liquid. They are bleachable and quick to change out if you want to keep going and going. https://www.amazon.com/RMS-Washable-Reusable-Incontinence-Underpads/dp/B0124XEUYC/ref=zg_bs_3763281_6?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=9PFFQ8E7W018VT1403D6&th=1
I used this Vinyl Mattress Protector 6 Gauge - Zippered (9" depth) Queen Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00070QH3C/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_XJPlxbZX31YJB for my two home births. Rather, two of them, since I threw them out after each birth.
I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it for a long period of time before labor, but it wasn't terribly hard to put on in early labor. We put it over one set of sheets, and then put a crappy/ dark set of sheets over it. After delivery, poof! Rip it all off and your bed is made and ready for sleep and baby snuggles.
If you life in a big city, I'd recommend checking out craigslist. I live in a city of about 1 million and there is about 1 post a week by an owner of Tempurpedic who's selling it for 1/4 of resale price. It's used, but I hear they have a 20-yr warranty. Also, if you're concerned about bed bugs, you can get something like this.
