So a couple of weeks ago, I found myself in the position of choosing between these options. In the past I had used the three-day version; I figured, one-day treatment sounded like a good idea. I picked it up, and then went to work. Then, for some reason, I decided to look up the reviews on Amazon. Terrified, I decided to exchange it for the three-day.

I went back to CVS, and I was standing on line holding both boxes (which is embarrassing enough), when the man in front of me turns around. He's this dude that I've known for 10 years; he used to shop in a store I worked at, then he was a bartender at a bar I went to, etc. He's chatting to me for several minutes as I'm standing there holding two boxes of Monistat. Awesome.

I am using these brands. The top link is a little thinner, and seems to absorb faster. Plus, my skin feels a bit softer. 💕 E

Could be hereditary. Get some boric acid suppositories and get some for your mama too. You will both feel soooooo much BETTER!!!

PS you don't have to go the full 7 days of boric acid. Insert 1 pill and see how the situation is the next day. I'm typically good after 1 or 2 days of the suppositories.

I use this one and I really like it:

I use DIM (first thing I tried) and it works very well for me. I have only had one hot flash since I started using it several months ago.

u/Sunandmoon33 · 2 pointsr/PCOS

I have had pcos for several years now and found several supplements that really helped me. They're available on amazon and are for hormones. They are merely a suggestion but have helped me greatly!

DIM

Calcium d-glucarate

Myo-insitol

Hope i can help

Hey I take 15 drops of a sage tincture during the day:

Menosan 100 ml Sage Tincture https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002MSW15A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_svC6AbVF6RNCV

and then I take one of these before bed:

Sage Tablets (120 x 1200mg) – Natural Sage Leaf Tablets – Potent Menopause Relief Supplement – High In Rosmarinic Acid https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B072XM44VG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AtC6AbT2B6HX2

I've also started taking my Lexapro at 1pm, I felt a little bit of insomnia the first day but it's been fine after that and when I have a night sweat now it happens at about 6-7am

I bought it in a store called The Vitamin Shoppe, it's over the counter. One sec. Looks like they only have stores in the states, but Amazon should carry a similar product.

Here it is, this is what I use.

amazon reviews are pretty bad lol

i am going to guess a lot of this is mental; but you of course have physical manifestations. Stress can cause an upswing in yeast/bacterial infections. There is also responsive desire. Basically you might need more than just having your boobs grabbed or something to turn you on.. Then partner that with the pain/infections you have and sex or even the thought of sex is not fun. I 100% have been there.

One thing that might help the physical - Borax vaginal inserts. You can get them on amazon. 30$ for around 30 inserts (or less). They are little pills that bring the vagina back to a normal PH which can knock out an over population of yeast/bacteria. Sometimes only one is needed to cure a yeast infection for me that would otherwise takes days of diflucan.

Also you are not dumb. I would then secondly suggest counseling, both individual and couples. Normally a couples counselor wants to see you separately at first to make sure there is no abuse taking place.

My endo doesn't like to perscribe it either, so I buy the cream off amazon.

One thing to note is that topical cream is actually much better than pills here. Progesterone absorbs really well through the skin and really poorly via digestion. That means to get the same effect of 20mg in cream, you need to take 200-300 mg in pill. Most of that never makes it to your blood stream and it can be really hard on your liver.

If you are curious, this is what I use. 1/4 tsp twice a day.

http://www.amazon.com/Vagisil-Screening-Kit-2-Count-Package/dp/B0010Y26PW or walk into a pharmacy and buy something similar.

u/AnotherCrazyChick · 1 pointr/TwoXChromosomes

Another cheap thing that I've used being insurance-less is a Vagisil screening kit, if your pH is high, you should see a doctor, but if it's normal, I would wait for the cryo results.

For Cortisol: Something with Ashwaganda like this.

For Estrogen: Something with DIM like this.

Again. Mix up your routine a bit for a week. Shock your system. Try a 24 hour fast. Try a crazy cardio workout.. or hike a long ways fasted. Do something to get out of the usual routine. Some people even do a big cheat day... but that can be suuuuuper dangerous as you'll probably just fall off the wagon and hate yourself. So I wouldn't recommend it.

u/aoa7 · 1 pointr/keto

As in another comment, estrogen is stored in fat. When you lose fat quickly, it’s hard for your body to manage all of the estrogen. Consider a DIM supplement to help with estrogen metabolism.

u/yoursolace · 1 pointr/transpassing

This is the progesterone cream I use. I read good things about getting micronized people that you need a prescription for, but honestly I just wanted to give this a shot and I'm pretty darn happy

I use the Emerita Pro-Gest that comes in single-use packets ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FJW4F8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qLXYCbA9EE3VW ) so I know I’m getting the right dose. You just put it on your abdomen, thighs, inner arms, or the like. I was told by my nurse practitioner to use it on days I’m not bleeding. Some people use it daily, though.
I’ve been using these patches for a couple weeks now, and I’ve been sleeping much better (

(the most potent phytoestrogen yet discovered)

If your “face” is something you feel is an issue, an active, yet subtle and non-surgical way you can help is by “softening” your facial features. Subtle changes in the skin, muscle tone, and the way your face stores fat and retains water will all help subtly reshape your facial features to give a more “feminine” appearance.

Also, have you heard of “skinny fat”?

Just because you’re 125 doesn’t mean that’s the end of the story. I have a friend who is just like you, 5’4”, 125 lbs, face like a mouse. Her legs are all flabby. She can pinch more than an inch on her lower stomach. She’s “thin,” but she’s also not “in shape.” Forget about the butt, because then we would just be getting cruel if we started talking about that (or lack thereof).

Forget intermittent fasting as a woman, because of kisspeptin. Instead, make a plan to go on a semi-therapeutic (80% calories from fat) ketogenic diet for 6 weeks, and then transition to vanilla keto (70% calories from fat) for the next 6 weeks, and then transition to classic Atkins (less than 20g of carbs per day, only fat and protein, but no fat targets) for the next 6 weeks, and then transition to a classic 20/40/40 (20% good unsaturated fats, 40% complex carbs and veggies, and 40% lean proteins sources like egg whites and free range chicken).

STAY AWAY FROM CARDIO!!! (10-15 mins of cardio MAX in any single day).

Start off with working out 3x per week for just 45mins per day.

Tues: Legs & Lower Back

Thurs: Abs & Core

Sat: Legs & Lower Back

Then move to 4x per week:

Tues: Legs & Lower Back
Wednesday: Abs & Core
Sat: Legs & Lower Back
Sun: Abs & Core

Then go hard on Sat & Sunday (2.5+ hours each day at the gym).

Start there. When you have a solid foundation, the rest has a way of taking care of itself. Suddenly, clothes you were too afraid to even THINK about THINKING about wearing will be things you’re curious about and suddenly feel a desire or interest in trying out and wearing. You’ll feel better and more comfortable wearing things you never worse before, and just look happier and more comfortable in whatever you wear.

Plus, you’ll naturally be less defensive, anxious and closed off (relative to before).
