If you want a book that has a really good all around historical look at wonder woman I highly recommend picking up Wonder Woman: A Celebration of 75 years

I also personally love the Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman Run in the new 52. It's also probably one of the most self contained titles in the new 52. The first volume is Wonder Woman Vol 1. Blood

There are two really great origin stories of wonder woman that I really love that are very current. The first (and my favorite of the two) is The legend of Wonder Woman. And the second is Wonder Woman: The True Amazon. The art in this one is fantastic.

Another great wonder woman story is Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia

I also really loved Sensation Comics featuring wonder Woman. I really love all of the different writers and artists takes on wonder woman.

Well, there are a few options. I will do a quick run through, but I do suggest reading a book, or at least reading some more in depth online tutorials.

So. I suggest going to Walgreens (or Rite Aid or whatever your local pharmacy is) and buying a basal body thermometer. They are mostly in the 20 dollar range. Then, you take your temperature first thing upon waking and record it every day. You can take it under your tongue or vaginally.

There are a few rules to keep in mind:

  1. you need at least three consecutive hours of sleep - if you are active within the three hour period before waking then it will throw off your temp. You can and should still take it, but just make it so that you know it may be wonky.

  2. If you drink the night before or if you are sick, same rules apply as above.

Ok, so. You take your temperature every day and mark it on the chart. If you want to use other signs to see when your fertile period begins you can pay attention to your cervical mucus, but I'm going to ignore that part for now. The part that sucks is that on the weekends you have to set an alarm to wake you up so you can take your temperature at the same time, but then I just roll over and go back to sleep.

Fertility Friend also has free tutorials that will teach you all this and more if you want more info (because I have never tried to explain this before, I could suck).

If you are just charting your cycle and not trying to use it to avoid pregnancy I recommend using fertilityfriend because they have iphone and android apps so you can get it into our chart immediately next to your bed and not mess with pen and paper early in the morning.

The first day of your cycle is the first day of your period that is heavy enough to use a pad, tampon, diva cup etc. Red blood, not spotting. At the beginning of your cycle your temperatures will be lower. Sometime around the middle of your cycle your temperature will jump up. That is called a thermal shift. Once your temperature stays elevated above your cover line (the fertility friend website will draw one for you) for three consecutive days you can confirm that you ovulated.

The second part of your cycle will normally be the same or very close to the same every month. Most women have 12 - 16 days in that phase. Mine is 11 days, 10 days is the shortest you can have and still sustain a pregnancy. If the second half of your cycle is less than 10 days and you want to get pregnant sometime you may want to have your doctor check out your hormone levels.

Ok. So. The standard book that everyone recommends is called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It goes way more in depth on how to do this and also use it for birth control if you want. They also have a website and online charting software.

I do use it for birth control and I also use and wanted to make it a little easier on myself, so I bought a Lady-Comp on ebay. It was expensive, but less expensive than a baby and I appreciate a lot of the features. Wow this may have been more than what you wanted, I hope I didn't just overwhelm you with way too much information.... but that's what I have to offer. There is way more and better info out there though.

So, I'm not an expert or anything, but I can recommend to you what I did/bought when I was younger. Like you, I had a pap smear before ever having penetrative sex. It was not fun to say the least. Like another commenter said, vaginal walls can tighten when a woman is stressed out. They expand when a woman is relaxed/aroused.

For my first toy, I bought a small bullet vibrator. Whenever I was aroused, I'd use it on my clit. This kept up for a good while, and then one day I was super aroused and wanted to insert it a bit. It was so slim that I was able to do so without discomfort. I also took it slowly and went just a tiny bit at a time until I had almost the whole thing inside. I was so damn proud of myself.

This vibrator is pretty much exactly like the one I had. (It has since died. RIP) It was relatively quiet on the lower settings, too. There's nothing worse than trying to be discreet with a gasoline-powered, pull-start Cockinator 2000.

Much love and luck to you as you continue on your sexual journey. And don't worry about your sex drive being "low." It's different for everyone, and it fluctuates quite a bit throughout your life. As you continue to explore yourself, you may find yourself becoming aroused more easily and more often.

Oh please no...

A good book on the matter (if you go through smile it gives to a charity): https://smile.amazon.com/Inferior-Science-Wrong-Research-Rewriting/dp/0807071706/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502665895&sr=8-1&keywords=inferior+how+science+got+women+wrong

Also a great summary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu1b54RtSE8

What's amazing is dudes not even understanding to use, I don't know, tact? To have, I don't know some sensitivity, when literally discussing whether science backs up women being less able to do all the stuff we judge the most admirable in our society and therefore implying that women are inferior to men?

Also I've been doing jiu-jitsu for twelve years and studied astrophysics (and in fact many of the most important discoveries in my field were done by women). Fuck off.

Try sea sponge tampons(which are reusable) or soft tampons (which are a type of sponge anyway) if you can find some. (Depending on where you live, you can get sea sponge tampons on amazon)

They don't have to go up near your cervix like the softcut does, and they can be cut smaller so you don't need to find that 'invisible sweet spot' that is required for comfortable tampon use.

It's not as fun as pads, but if you are enjoying the pool party you wont notice you have one in.

I have vulvodynia and hypertonic pelvic floor (which is very similar to vaginismus, except it effects the urethra and anus too) and I use sponge tampons when I need to be swimming or whatever.

Keep in mind what others have said about physical therapy, even though you can't access it now, start looking up professionals in your area that do it, good ones can be hard to find. If you are really struggling you can start off at home, If you are in the US vaginismus.com sells a 'self care kit' they may be of use. I personally preffer the Femmax kit But it doesn't come with the books and DVD's which you will need if you don't have a physiotherapist helping you out.

I struggled with the exact same problem, butt getting cuter but somehow zit prone from working out and biking until after a little reading I discovered alpha hydroxy acid is Amazing omigosh!! I use the stuff in the red box that can be found at any drugstore (usually on the bottom shelves with the facial beauty stuff) and it friggin changed my life! Finally a firm and soft butt :D

NICE! I got two 'nicer' coloring books for Christmas too (one from my Troll Secret Santa and one from my brother's new girlfriend) but haven't had a chance to break them in yet. I usually just buy some of the kids kind (like Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, or something along those lines) but I wanted to try something nicer, and asked for these. They're super nice and detailed.
It really helps me with my depression. I posted a comment about in in another sub, and that's exactly what it is for me too, a distraction. You're so focused on staying in the lines, or picking the right color, that it's hard to think about anything else. There are many crafts that I found that do that for me (cross stitch, scrapbooking, crocheting) but I only really have time for coloring nowadays.
Yours is so awesome!

I've heard that harsh exfoliants create cuts and I've heard that the whole "cut" thing is a myth. I use St Ives Olive Oil Scrub for exfoliation. It's incredibly gentle and not at all abrasive.
If you can get Trention/Rentin-A from a doctor the stuff is miracle cream. If you can't then you could try looking up retinoids and BHA/AHAs.
Paula's Choice comes highly recommended for BHA's
Alpha Hydrox is a brand I really liked for BHAs!
A lot of acne treatments also double as wrinkle treatments, so I guess that's the only upside?

Buy a bidet attachment for your toilet. No wipes to buy or clog your pipes, and you stay nice and clean. Best $40 ever.

Edit: [This] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FPYIK6M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_1TRHzb04T8P8Y) is worth getting too to replace the plastic tee that comes with the bidet and give you better flow control.

Oh yeah no problem here's a a link to the amazon. Yeah it's pretty awful especially considering how interesting history is to most adults, once they have had some time away from highschool. It could be one of the subjects students get excited about just for the subject matter, instead it's entirely up to the teacher to go out of their way to make it interesting.

Read Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office. I'm reading it and it has some great advice about situations like this!

u/rissa39 · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

I just like these grip things. You can get them for free as merchandise sometimes.

u/grace_c · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

Although this is a satire, it's actually so true.

For any woman wanting to climb the ladder in their professional field, I highly recommend Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office by Dr Lois P Frankel

It highlights "Unconscious Mistakes Women Make That Sabotage Their Careers" and it's a really enlightening read

It helps you to be really self-aware of how you conduct yourself in the workplace, what some of the secrets are to succeeding professionally (hint: it's not bringing brownies to the office), and so so much more, I could go on forever.

Seriously. Changed my life.

u/HakeemAbdullah · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

The new Wonder Woman Rebirth comic has been great.

Also I reccomend Azarello's run on Wonder Woman (these ones: https://www.amazon.com/Wonder-Woman-Vol-Blood-New/dp/140123562X)

u/LoudMusic · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

Everyone Poops.

It's a good read. I've reread it a few times, in fact. ;)

u/FlanneryOClowder · 21 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

So, this is probably as good a time as any to admit that I own this book.

u/britina · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

I have super thick hair that is past my waist and I used to buy so much Drano. Have you ever tried the zip-it? It just pulls the hair out of the drain and the results last a lot longer than liquid plumbing stuff for me. Plus there are tons of disgusting videos of youtube to show you how to use it. And those little drain strainer things help a ton too, because they keep the hair out of the drain in the first place.

u/darwinopterus · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

Something else that worked for me was sealing up my window with these. You stick the film on with tape and then shrink it with a hair dryer. Even if you aren't able to put the film up over that particular hole, putting it over the windows will help quite a bit.

u/darkkite23 · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

I've heard about them. Sounds worth checking out.

I'm not into anything jelly, though. This is the one I have now, and it's nice, but again, too much vibration.

u/WuzFuz12 · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

Magic Jewelry Retriever It's $5 and has gotten my jewelry on the FIRST try.

u/nHalbleiter · 19 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

Not OP, but I found inferior very illuminating

u/oatmeal_pie · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

Have you heard of Taking Charge of Your Fertility? You track your fertility signs, so for example when Aunt Flow hasn't arrived on day 35 you know that you aren't pregnant because you haven't ovulated.

u/duckstewie · 3 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

I have this one...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RHSJO?psc=1
It's only $40. There really is no excuse for smearing feces all over your anus.

u/complimentaryasshole · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

I tried the Softcup and removing mine was like a scene from Dexter in my shower stall. Needless to say I did not keep using them.

I did, however, just purchase menstrual sponges and can't wait to try them. Which means I can't wait for my period ^whatiswrongwithme?? And in true uterus style I'm showing no signs of my damn period. >_<

u/FatPeaches · 6 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

White noise machine will drown out most/all of the noise. It'll take a night or two to get used to it but then you'll never sleep without it on ever again.

I feel you! I've heard this from my mother, many times. She's currently trying to force me to read a self-help dating book that prescribes finding your "inner bitch" and being insulting and cold-hearted towards men because that apparently drives them wild. Oh, and she believes absolutely no sex until you've cemented yourself as the alpha female in their lives. It's like the gender-swapped version of the red pill. (Green pill?) But every bit as awful.

Edit: For the curious: Men Don't Love Women Like You.

My mom reads a lot of these, so most of her advice comes from a hodgepodge of sources. I know this one stuck out in my mind particularly because of the hurtful title.

u/HyprAwakeHyprAsleep · 9 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

Whew, okay. Pulled out my actual computer to answer this.
So, a lot of what I could recommend isn't short stuff you could read in an afternoon because 1. it's depressing as fuck, and 2. it's likely heavy with the sheer volume of references wherein at least one book attempts to bludgeon you with the facts that "this was depressing as fuck." Frequent breaks or alternating history-related books with fiction/poetry/other topics is rather recommended from my experience. Can't remember if I got onto this topic through Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States or Loewen's Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong or just some random book found in the library.

The very clean cut, textbook Wikipedia definition of "sundown town", aka "Don't let the sun set (down) on you here.", (Ref: BlackThen.com), is:
> sometimes known as sunset towns or gray towns, are all-white municipalities or neighborhoods in the United States that practice a form of segregation by enforcing restrictions excluding people of other races via some combination of discriminatory local laws, intimidation, and violence.

For my intro into the subject however, read Buried in the Bitter Waters: The Hidden History of Racial Cleansing in America. This is a very emotionally draining, mentally exhausting book though, frequently with lists of atrocities in paragraph form. I think it's an important read, one which frankly should've been covered my senior year of highschool or so, but it's a difficult one. Also on my reading list is The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration which is a surprising and sneakily hopeful title for such a depressing topic, so only guessing the narration may be somewhat more accessible.

Also, 'cause I totally didn't run to my kindle app to list out titles before fully reading your post, here's some below, and relisted one above, by timeline placement, best as can be figured. These might not be the best on each topic, but they're the ones available to my budget at the time and some are still on my reading list.

The Fires of Jubilee: Nat Turner's Fierce Rebellion
