CL 16; Timing 16-18-18; unless I'm mistaken, this is (highly-binned) E-die memory.

This matches AMD's "Recommended Price/Performance Configuration" for Ryzen 3000, and given that b-die 3200 CL14 is getting harder to find, is this it?

Also, don't forget about ordering in app and saving $10 (or more).

This is the by far the lowest price recorded for this item on Amazon and PCPartPicker. I'm not sure how to get the pricing history bot/script to run here though.

More details found at Crucial and Newegg.

u/PlUmPaSsChIcKeN · 11 pointsr/buildapcsales

I picked these up. Is the $40 difference worth or should I cancel that order and pick these up?

u/ShapeOfAUnicorn · 6 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

I'm building a new high end pc from the ground up. Should I be taking advantage of any of these sales? I feel like the mouse and power supply are automatic purchases but I'm a newbie so I wanted to see if I can get any help here first. Sorry if this is filling up the discussion post.

SSD

I read that the crucial's aren't good because once you reach 75% capacity it dramatically slows your pc down? Also, don't know if external SSDs are recommended but should I bite on that SanDisk?

Samsung 1TB 860 EVO

Crucial P1 1TB m.2 SSD

SanDisk 1TB Portable External SSD

Power Supply

Corsair RM850x, 850 Watt Gold Certified Fully Modular Power Supply

Cooler

I don't even know if I will need a coouler, and if I want to go liquid cooling route, and I don't care about RGB, but for a high end pc I'm assuming I should buy?

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum AIO Liquid CPU Cooler

Mouse

This seems like the best deal on a mouse no?

Logitech® MX Master 2S Wireless Mouse

RAM

Was actually looking for 32GB RAM, should I pass since if I go AMD mobo route, having to use more than 2 will cause a slowdown right?

Which would be better for a RYZEN 3600?

u/Wies_piece · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Bought Crucial Ballistix Elite 16gb 3600 CL16 RAM on Prime Day for $104. Still hasn't shipped yet.

Should I cancel that order and pick up the CL16 variant of the Neo's when they come back in stock? They look so much nicer, just not sure if the extra $65 is worth it.

u/bmth310 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Thank you - I think I'm gonna just go with an Asus x470 board (ROG strix). I picked up the Ballistix elite ram that was on sale on amazon (overkill?)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPKTRS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i have to go to micro center tomorrow and im hoping maybe if I purchase the board there they will just flash the bios for me so I dont have to go through the dance with amd for a mail in cpu

u/minniedahen · 1 pointr/buildapc

Thank you! So do you think thiswould be a much better option?

Its 3600 as well, I believe, if I'm reading it right. So I wouldn't need to overclock?

u/ChuckTownRC51 · 1 pointr/Amd

This is what I use with mine and it works great. Crucial Ballistix Elite 3600 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 16GB (8GBx2) CL16 BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPKTRS1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OP6LDb3QAYQHP

u/madhatter_13 · 1 pointr/buildapc

So I bought this RAM kit from Microcenter about 3 months ago for under $120. I was considering buying another two sticks but I haven't seen it under $150 since then. What's going on with RAM prices? Should I hold out hope for another sale in the next few months?

u/hEnigma · 1 pointr/ASRock

The motherboard is one of the best out there, so no worries there. Here is the kit I purchased on Prime Day for $99. https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-Desktop-Gaming-BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK/dp/B07NPKTRS1/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ballistix%2Belite%2B3600&qid=1569778983&s=electronics&sr=1-1&th=1

Did upping the DRAM voltage work for you? The sticks do need a little more juice to work. With the 3200 MHz sticks, I would get tons of errors in Memtest at 1.35V, but none at 1.4V.

u/upviews · 1 pointr/CanadianHardwareSwap

Lol my bad clearly I can’t read

This is the product link for ram https://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-Ballistix-Desktop-Gaming-BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK/dp/B07NPKTRS1

u/-the-BoneChurch · 1 pointr/overclocking

I've been working on overclocking this ram. These are my current settings and stress results. From what others have said, I am really lucky to have the tRFC stable at 580. This kit has been super difficult to OC.

I couldn't get it over 3733 until I reset bios to factory defaults, set XMP, and then set the timing to 4000. It booted then and the timings were 18-20-20-43 and the secondaries were much looser. I've adjusted RRD, WTR, RTP. I haven't messed with FAW and if I move CWL at all I get a bios switch which are a pain to deal with on my board (aorus z390 ultra)

I've tried upping the voltage and moving to 4100 to no avail, I moved to 18-18-18 and it was totally unstable. Any feedback is welcome. What timings should I tighten etc. Anyway, edie adventure continues...

Another question: I could get the Crucial Ballistix Elite 3600cl16 for 106 € (not aes, https://www.amazon.es/Ballistix-Elite-BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK-PC4-28800-Single-Rank/dp/B07NPKTRS1/). Are they gonna perform better than 3000cl15 (70 €) or is it just oc luck?

u/Mofucca29 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Hey, I'm looking to do that same 3700x/x570 build. Would these 3200 RAM be it for me or would Ballistix Elite 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 3600 MT/s (PC4-28800) SR x8 DIMM 288-Pin Gaming Memory - BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPKTRS1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AKklDbG76ZJND be better @ $105?

Pair that with any good 3600 mhz RAM, either the Corsair or the Crucial .
