NZXT Source 210 is currently $55 on Amazon with 8 drive bays. Not hotswap, but the Node 804 that was already suggested and also doesn't have hotswap costs $115 (on Amazon, $100 on Newegg)

it's a NZXT 210 with a 5 bay hot swap module - that isn't the exact one I got, but I couldn't find mine within 3 minutes of looking and that was really all I wanted to commit to.

For 8 GB of 1600 RAM, it's harder to get any lower than that. However, I'd recommend a case upgrade to a case that allows for cable management through the rear of the motherboard tray, like the NZXT Source 210.

Yeah, I'd recommend a 7870 XT/LE edition. Here's one for cheap. Make sure to use the mail in rebate!

The NZXT Source 340 is popular (also found in white).

Also the more expensive Fractal Design Define R5 (also found in Titanium Grey and white).

Many enjoy the cheaper NZXT Source 210 (also found in white) and the bit more expensive NZXT Source 210 Elite (also found in white).

And of course NZXT H440 (also found in other colors and the Razer edition).

Also Corsair have made some nice cases. Especially their Obsidian series.

In the end it depends on your budget and I have just linked some of the most popular which should be for every budget!

Source 210 is probably up your ally then. Regularly goes for just $20.

I actually had my server built in one for about 18 months because of all the 3.5" bays, but I switched to a rackmount recently because I ran out of 3.5" bays hah. Awesome case, especially for the money though!

As long as your parents aren't gaming, you can probably get rid of the gpu. You should also look into a psu. Is recommend the corsair cx 430 for your purposes.

Also, try this case instead.

ATX. This one, specifically.

I have a small form factor case. I think most new video cards won't be able to fit inside. I have a no-name brand PSU as well. 220 watts.

I found another case which is cheaper - NZXT Source 210. How's this one seem?

Logisys is just as bad. Check out this review of a Logisys power supply which has a falsely-labeled "600W" power supply which can't even push 375W without burning out. Also, they put fake 80 Plus logos on it, which amounts to fraudulent accreditation.

Instead of looking for more CPU power, I would spend a bit more cash and buy the following case and power supply:

NZXT Source 210

XFX Core Edition 550W

I suggest getting a nicer case with cable management and additional fans. I really regret not getting something like the NZXT Source 210 in black or white.

PC Part Picker is barely loading for me right now, so:

  • Get a 965 for $100 instead, performs about the same
  • 4GB of system RAM for ~$22, games won't need more than that
  • Caviar Blue Drive for $60
  • Get a Source 210 case for $32 instead, Raidmax products aren't very good
  • CX430 for $37 after rebate, Cooler Master PSUs aren't very good other than Silent Pro
  • Do this to save about $90 on your Windows, for now
  • Use some of the saved money to upgrade your video card, like this 2GB 6950 that includes two codes to download some recent games
  • You can also trade or even sell those codes, if the buyer knows you and trusts you

elite is different from the regular (if you can still find it, amazon still has it!) its $10 cheaper, since its not tool-less, doesnt have usb3 and only has 1 120mm fan. if your mobo doesnt support usb3 (h61) theres no use getting it. tool-less... i really could care less hah, i built my uncles computer and havent opened it since.

the fractal design has no cable management.

u/astallasalion · 1 pointr/buildapc

Corsair 200R, NZXT Source 210, CoolerMaster Haf 912

All are high quality cases for mid-level builds and have great cable management options.

u/effngee · 1 pointr/buildapc

Well, the new power supply you mentioned will cost you $70 before the mail-in rebate arrives someday, but you can get a CX430 for $39 and a Source 210 case for $29, for a total of $68 right now. That will give you plenty of legroom for a 7850.

If you want to keep future proofing more open ended, you definitely want to be on an 1150 socket board. AM3+ is effectively EOL. If you don't mind spending the extra $20 for an i3 I think you would be very happy with the performance. How would you feel about something like this?:

i3

appropriate socket motherboard, additional $10 MIR

cheaper GPU with similar performance, additional $20 MIR

cheaper case, matx to match motherboard. The Elite 430 is overpriced for what you get, at the least you could get something nicer for the same price like the Source 210 or Corsair 200R(if you go with the 200R you'll want to change the motherboard to something with USB 3.0 front panel like this)

u/Amazing3D · 1 pointr/buildapc

Any Atx case should fit that motherboard. I've never used it but I have heard good things about the NZXT source 210

Might be a dumb question but I'd just like to confirm. Would a Sapphire Fury Nitro fit in my case here?

It says

>VGA Clearance Maximum 230mm w/ hard drive, 330mm w/o hard drive

so I'll most likely have to move my hard drives, but the 330 mm translates to almost exactly 13 inches. Is that enough for the Fury Nitro (including cabling)?

u/psikeiro · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Don't post the ref link or the bot will remove it, this is what the link should look like:

Newegg doesn't ship to Bahrain so...and that slaved cable looks too short for the case I'm getting next month NZXT Source 210
