Vortex makes a 2-7 rim fire scope that I would highly recommend.

If you want an inexpensive bipod (cheaper than a Harris), go with a Caldwell XLA in the height range you need. If you're shooting prone, go with a short one; sitting a taller one.

For a cheaper scope, I'd go up about 20 bucks and get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Crossfire-Rimfire-Reticle-CF2-31001R/dp/B00794LKMW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1422678287&sr=8-2&keywords=vortex+crossfire+ii+2-7

Vortex has one of the best warranties in the industry. If you drop your gun and break the scope, they'll send you a new one. New, used, purchased through an unlicensed retailer, it doesn't matter- they will replace it.

It all depends on what you would use it for. If you "don't need [it] to be adjustable" then you may have just answered your own question.

Parallax is or at lest can be important for rimfire optics. Most scopes that are not parallax adjustable, like this 1-4 Crossfire II, have their parallax set at 100 yards. Rimfire specific scopes without parallax adjustment usually are set closer in at something like 50 yards. I find it best to have an "adjustable optic" or "AO" designation for a rimfire scope. But you obviously can make hits just fine with a normal, 100 yard parallax scope on something like your 10/22.

Vortex makes a Crossfire II 2-7 Rimfire model that sales for close to the Crossfire II 1-4 VPlex sale price.

I've got a Vortex Crossfire 2 on my rifle. They make a similar version for .22 rimfire with the parallax at 50 yards. It's a great scope imho and a fair bit cheaper than the Vortex Diamondback. The eye relief on the two is different though. I'm not sure if you're looking for something with a specific eye relief, but it is something to take into consideration.

need magnification.

there are plenty of bushnell, bsa and simmons scopes that should do the job just fine for 40-50. the bushnell banner for example. it wont have the clarity of a vortex, but they will hold up fine against a 22lr. they dont have the no question asked warranty that vortex does, but if its not user error, they will still replace it.

that said, if, when im ready to pull the trigger, the vortex goes down below $100, like it has before, ill go for it, cause it would definitely be a great scope with great clarity, and the parallax would be setup for the ranges id be shooting squirrels at(50-100)

The KIDD receivers are billet aluminum. Yeah, I need to get off my butt and order one. It's going to be fun for sure. For the build I already have:
