More line than you think you need. Double the line. You can never have enough line.

Waterproof, powerful flashlight my recommendation

Plastic bag with a lanyard for valuables/wallets/phones/licenses. Alternatively, a pelican case.

A pair of vice grip pliers ("The wrong tool to get every job done right")

A knife, as others said. I work professionally on the water as well as boating recreationally. The Myerchin Rigging Knife is the best all purpose knife to have on board. It might be a little overkill, but when you need a line cut fifteen seconds ago, you'll be glad you have it.

A VHF handheld radio and a knowledge of what channels are monitored by the USCG (13, 16, 22A), Commercial traffic (13/16) and local police/fire departments

Spare fuses, bulbs, plugs

A Towboat US membership

A bigger, heavier anchor if you're anywhere with a decent amount of current (rivers, oceans). I'm very much a proponent of overkill when it comes to anchoring. I use an anchor way bigger than my 20' pontoon needs, and it's a tad pricey, but once I drop it and pay out the scope, I rarely worry about dragging.

Bag of cleaning supplies. Rags, paper towels, and the holy trinity of vinyl care: melamine pads, CLR Mold & Mildew, and 303 protectant

Most important item of all: A bleach bottle with the bottom cut off

Apparently these tiny toilet bowl cleaners are a real thing

I'm not saying OPs story is real, since anyone who's been on reddit for more than a day can tell you 90% of FP stories are a lie... but some incarnation of tiny toilet bowl cleaner do exist. This much we now know. Thanks Google and OP.

I have trouble standing and walking, but am fine when sitting, so most of my advice is from that viewpoint.

Swiffers for everything! Mop/sweeper, duster, dusting cloths, etc. They're really efficient and disposable so I don't have to deal with things like mop buckets, dirty mop heads, cleaning feather dusters, anything like that.

One of those extendable pincher things to help pick stuff up off the floor.

An extendable scrubber for the bathroom. The shape makes it really easy to get into corners.

A clothes folder makes it really easy to fold your clothes, and I can use this on my lap while sitting down in bed.

A walker with a seat makes it really easy to get around to do things and has a seat for when I need to sit down. The basket that most come with helps to carry supplies from one room to the next.

Stick vaccums are super lightweight and easy to maneuver even from a couch or bed.

A scrubbing attachment that goes on a power drill is so helpful when you don't have the strength or stamina to scrub by hand.

I swear by all of the Kaboom products. All of them are no-effort cleaning supplies. They have toilet cleaner, mold and mildew cleaner, and, of course, the famous shower foam.

An automatic vacuum like a roomba is great for most people, but I've never had one so I can't comment myself.

Soak your dishes. There are special products that help get dried on food off your dishes, but I've found that just soaking them in hot water for 20-30 minutes before trying to wash them gets most stuck on food off. For really tough, baked on gunk, add a dryer sheet to the water. Sounds weird, but it helps soften up the crusty blackened burnt on food and it comes off easily.

For food that's stuck on the inside of the microwave, take a cup of water, add some lemon juice, and microwave it on full power for 6 minutes. The food will wipe right off.

I might think of more things later. If I do I'll come back and edit this post.

This is usually due to hard water deposits, which become stained. You need something acidic to break them up. My favorite is the Lysol brand line of toilet gels, which are labeled as being for lime and rust. They contain (diluted) hydrochloric acid.

The gel consistency will help the acidic product stick to stains long which to break it up. I would squirt it up there and let it sit for several hours or overnight.

Sample of the product I'm talking about.

Piggybacking to say this stuff gets dye stains/etc out of everything. I once forgot black hair dye in a shower for 3 days, used this stuff, and it was like it never happened. Do not use on pure white fabric, as it will turn it to a dingy, yellowish white.

IGNORE all the other suggestions, trust me, this stuff is AMAZING and requires NO effort, Clorox Clinging Bleach Gel, showers, sinks, toilets, put it on, no scrubbing, no effort, leave it for a few hours, rinse off and every stain will be gone

Get some Clorox Foaming Bleach (you can get it at Walmart or similar) and some magic erasers.

The floor looks lightly textured so you would need to be careful but you can also try some of these.

This looks like serratia_marcescens which is common bathrooms and other wet environments. It is pretty resilient and you will need to keep cleaning the area pretty regularly to kill it off. The best think would probably be to get a steam cleaner if you really need to get this off. This unit is really good.

I also moved into a house as a teen that had a horrible cat urine odor. We tried everything for months with no success. Then we finally tried Husky uric acid cleaner and it got it. The key is the Uric acid neutralizer in it. The Uric acid is what is in the urine that sticks around and smells.

Back then there wasn't a Clorox cat urine cleaner but apparently that works as well and tackles the Uric acid.

I've done the same thing after packing it before a flight. Bleach may ruin the material

To kill it

To remove the stains took a bit of scrubbing and sitting over night before rinsing.

Edit: there are cheaper sources like Home Depot.

u/pedgaro · 1 pointr/wicked_edge

Some of their products contain bleach, just get one with no bleach.

u/errandwolfe · 1 pointr/homeassistant

So other than Alexa functionality how exactly does what you offer differ from this?

u/amanforallsaisons · 1 pointr/Wetshaving

This looks like it, but tbh if I were you I'd buy it at a local store. Usually if it has bleach, it will specify "Scrubbing Bubbles with Bleach," but I'd still want to double check the active ingredients.

Hope this helps.

Kaboom BowlBlaster 24oz. Toilet Bowl Cleaner Gel, honestly the best cleaner I've ever seen.

u/Avridt · 1 pointr/dogs

Washing every 4-5 can ruin the oil in a dog’s coat which may lead to skin issues, washing every few weeks should be fine so excessive odor could be a medical problem as or just they he is. It’s at least worth bringing up at your next vet appointment. I use these between baths to help with doggy odor, they work quite well in my experience.

No real advice for getting him used to water, but figured those may help with the odor problem at least.

u/xyeah28 · 1 pointr/CleaningTips

I have this that I'll spray after I shower occasionally. Not really sure if it does much, but it does smell really good.

Every other week, I use my steamer attachment and go over everything. I do spray a mixture of dawn/vinegar/water first, then steam. It's always sparkly clean and just smells clean.

No, you need the chemicals in the toilet to stop the waste from literally fermenting. If you think chemicals smell bad, now imagine rotting human waste, and your toilet burping out a gas cloud whenever you open the trap to dump your latest contribution. A cassette toilet or porta-potti have a proper name, and that is precisely "chemical toilet".

Sounds like what you'd really need is a composting toilet, but if the vehicle already has a cassette toilet it would be a big job to change it.

Maybe put a solar powered vent in the roof and into the toilet area, so it's constantly sucking the air out and up out of the van, or something.

Chemicals can also be bought dry, I believe. Sachets or granules. So you toss in some of that and then prime the toilet with water so there is liquid there ready to go when you... uh... go. You don't want your solid waste to go splat and glue itself to the toilet...

Also, maybe this or something like it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elsan-ORG02-Organic-Toilet-Motorhomes/dp/B00B2MIPR0

Reportedly, the Thetford green stuff breaks down waste Ok, but the toilet starts to stink pretty bad; personally I think it just fails at controlling the fermentation thing. The Elsan is (again, from what I've read only, no personal experience) much better at controlling odor/gas buildup and at breaking down the solids into something you can easily pour out when it's emptying time.
