For half the price of these you can buy 96 large binder clips which will last infinitely longer for their purpose, plus you can use them for any number of other things around the house. I have had the same two clipped to the edge of my rubbermaid container for 2 years now that I use on a regular basis, and neither have rusted yet. I don't even bother drying them off fully, just shake them off a bit. I have a hard time finding 3 weights for 21 bucks to be anywhere near a good deal, and they're pretty much a unitasker.

I really recommend using paper minis if you're on a tight budget. If you have access to photoshop then they are incredibly easy to make from any image you can find for free on google. If not then Printable Heroes is a great resource for cool looking minis. You can contribute a small amount and get access to a ton of them but there are also a bunch of free ones here.

They don’t take long to put together, either. This video shows you the best way to assemble them. I would also ad that I use 3/4 inch binder clips for the base as they fit perfectly on the grid and are a bit cheaper than buying bases.

I also really recommend a Chessex Battle Mat in whatever size you think works for your game. Make sure you also buy wet erase markers as dry erase will seep into these maps and become permanent markings.

As far as landscapes go, I just draw any features of the map that can be seen on the ground on my map. I've never tried it but there are printable folding paper environments that you can make and use. I don't because I don't like having an obstructed view for me or the players.

I hope that helped!

Well that's weird. I know my plastic bases are pretty tight - could it be you're just not pushing hard enough?

If you don't want to deal with customer service, I recommend binder clips - just clip them on, and (optionally) take off the wire handles. Use gold for elites and blue for regulars, or whatever other combo you prefer. I frequently do D&D minis this way (in combination with a color printer) if I don't have the right mini for an encounter.

Hangers with clips (Either alone or on the hanger). On the hanger is fun because you can usually slide them towards or away from each other, and the tension will hold them a bit in place.

Vice grips - the weight can be really satisfying

Binder clips - even better are the ones with the magnet on the end!

Alligator cilps

Jumper cables, but probably need some heavy padding.

Chopsticks and tight (small) rubber bands.

Almost anything with "clip" or "clamp" in the name. So, for instance, if you have those heavy-duty clamps that get used to hold down a tablecloth at an outdoor picnic, that can be fun. Or woodworking clamps.

There are also things you can do to up the intensity even with gentle things. Ex: after the clothespins have been on a while, turn them 90 degrees. Or go more for the edge of the nipple rather than the base. Or get a spatula/paddle and slap your nipples to get them tender first.

You can really have fun with anything that squeezes. I remember as a kid using two clipboards. It was tough to get the nipple in, but was a fun sensation.

Hope that gives you some ideas!

Decided to look up Pen + Gear emoji binder clips, and it seems that I found it here:

It's a little hard to see but it can be seen in the bottom left in the first image, and bottom right in the third. Thank you so much. Wouldn't have found it if you hadn't mentioned the brand name. Also, really appreciate the offer to send. I know it's just a little binder clip, but it means a lot to me, and means the world to her. Thanks again.

Found!

Amazon!

And for colored paperclips

I had gotten my book darts in a book journal kit from either Modern Mrs. Darcy or Boho Berry a while back, and my current set of colored paperclips from WalMart with some Binder Clips as well, during back to school, so you could check WalMart as well for the paper clips in the office supply section too.

Have you tried binder clips?

I have a big head too, so far what works is to force the spring at max with two of these : https://www.amazon.com/OfficemateOIC-Binder-Assorted-Colors-31024/dp/B00006IBA3/ref=sr_1_sc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1469921660&sr=8-3-spell&keywords=office+clisp
Then there is no pressure.
I just want to remove the stupid system they have.
Vive fits my head better.

I'd recommend glass, some binder clips to hold it to the bed, Elmer's purple glue sticks for adhesion, a heat gun if you live somewhere like the South and it takes forfuckingever for things like glue stick to dry (I don't have this exact one but I'm sure it'll work just fine), and a spray bottle of water and squeegee to clean all of that off every few of prints.

Also as everyone else suggested, a Pi 3 for Octopi. I'm using a 32 GB microSD that I had laying around. Just send prints from Cura to Octopi! A camera is pretty cool for time lapse shots too! I'm pretty sure this is the one I've been using, but I really don't like the one mount I've found for it so I'm going to switch to my Logitech C615 after my daughter goes to bed and I can fuck around with my setup... ;P

https://www.amazon.com/Binder-Clamps-Medium-Good-Active/dp/B076FSC6Y7 just bought like 50 of these for 5 euros at the local hobbyshop. take out the metal levers (idk how else to call them) after you've inserted the paper mini. it's stable enough for a nice flat map. no less than an ordinary mini and takes up less space.

You could get some 3M cord clips and mount them to the side of your receiver. Then you just hang whatever keychain you want.

Don't want it on there anymore, just pull the adhesive strip and bam it's gone.

I’m going with “right over the top”, and held down with black metal paperclips.

So it came with the travelers notebook I bought but you can just buy the binder clips on their own. You can search up "wire binder clips." Here's the specific kind that comes with mine. Binder Clips.

I do something very similar for my indeterminate tomatoes. I grow them vertically using poly twine and tomato clips. Then as they grow, you do Lower and Lean which keeps things manageable so you're not dealing with stuff 9 feet high. Trim all the stems to one or two main stems and remove the bottom foliage. I just keep the foliage above the fruit and then you have more airflow and less disease pressure. Just keep some shade on the fruit so they don't get scalded. Growing vertically is also easier since you're not bending over, but you do have to make a trellis that will handle quite a bit of weight. I have rollerhooks on the edge of my patio roof. The rollerhooks easily dispense more twine and slide along a cord too. My tomatoes are in 7 gallon grow bags with one 2 gph dripper in each bag that goes off automatically (a cheap battery operated controller on the hose bib) twice a day for 15 minutes. I put in organic (just because it's slow release) fertilizer once a month so it's totally a low-maintenance setup which is perfect since between work and my commute I only have time to play with my garden on the weekends. No digging, very little maintenance.

Tomato clips clips lock onto twine, can undo and move it
Roller Hooks I got mine at Johnny's because I only needed 5 of them
Poly Twine won't rot, holds up to 96 pounds

Indeterminate tomatoes grow as a vine, and won't stop until frost or you kill it, so it works perfectly this way.

edit: For determinate tomatoes try doing Basket Weave/Florida Weave trellising

What about some of these, they are pretty attractive/low profile. Probably could be attached with very short screen.

When I was searching through this subreddit, I saw someone mention using these to keep the spring in place so that it doesn't push in on your head:

I have not tried this so I can't say personally whether it'll work or not (if you do try it, let me know!). I typically just pull the triangle as far down as possible while having the side straps open and tilt the rift slightly up so less pressure on the cheeks. It's not an ideal solution, just a workaround that somewhat relieves the issue, but it's better than nothing.
