ETA: Oh look the before and after images too http://ceramide-pcd.com/moisturizing.html. Inb4 explaining it away as demonstrating the benefits of ceramide.

I did some reverse google image searching and found that one of their "scientific" chart type images appears to be ripped from another vitamin. If this was a stock photo that they purchased the rights to, then surely it wouldn't be in such a poor resolution.

Fucking wow.

Was told to post this as a new comment so more people can see. I confronted the brand through their support email about using the Ceramide PCD graphs and images: TLDR at the end

So I actually emailed Halo Beauty Support and here is a copy/paste of our interaction:
"Hello!
I am interested in this product but I am wondering why it has copied exact images and graphs from an ingredient called ceramide-pcd?
Halo beauty is saying they are for Ceramide- RX but that is obviously not the case. I have included a link to the actual supplement where the images and graphs originated from.
This seems really bad... please explain
http://ceramide-pcd.com/moisturizing.html
Yours"

Their first reply came really quickly

"Support Team - HaloBeauty (HaloBeauty) Mar 2, 14:49 PST
Hi [My name removed], We have an extract of ceramides from Japan. The ceramide-pcd is a similar trade name for the product and the supplier of the raw material is the same - Oryza in Japan.
I hope this clarifies your questions. Please let us know if there is anything else we can provide to you.
Sincerely, Halo Beauty Support Halo Beauty"

I replied and asked them if this was not a unique ingredient then they responded again very quickly within 10 minutes.

"Support Team - HaloBeauty (HaloBeauty) Mar 2, 14:58 PST
It's actually a very unique ingredient as it's extraordinarily rare, expensive, and difficult to source. We trademarked the name Ceramides-RX, as part of a distribution agreement from the manufacturer Oryza in Japan. Instead of renaming it something obscure and calling it proprietary, we were transparent about what was actually inside. Hope this helps! Halo Beauty"

I wanted to know if they could justify the price so I responded

"Thank you so much for your speedy and polite reply!
I have one more question as you touched on it in your answer. I know the item price was attributed to the very expensive nature of Ceramide Rx, which you have now indicated is just another trade name of the Ceramide PCD.
If that is true I can buy a 30 day supply of (vegetarian capsules) Ceramide PCD for $9.00, with 100 mg of Ceramide PCD per capsule while Halo Beauty’s HSN only had 40 mg per 2 capsules and is $39.95 per 30 day supply. Why the drastically higher price?
Here is the product I am talking about: https://www.amazon.com/Phytoceramides-Ceramide-PCD-Derived-Gluten-Supplement/dp/B01B06Z7M8/ref=lp_13204985011_1_6_a_it
I am not trying to be difficult, I am just legitimately trying to understand both the ingredients (which you have been very kind to explain) and now the price.
Yours"

This time it took them a few hours to respond and I got this:

"Support Team - HaloBeauty (HaloBeauty) Mar 2, 18:48 PST
I have no idea about that product, but from the surface, I guess it's only $9 because that's their only hero ingredient and their packaging is so inexpensive. We have premium packaging that's produced in a dust-free facility, and a formula that is filled in a lab in the USA under sterile conditions. The employees all wear, lab coats, gloves, hair nets and surgical masks. Regardless, I'm sorry that you're unhappy with our pricing strategy, we did the best we could do. Halo Beauty"

TLDR: I emailed Halo Beauty to see wtf was up. Apparently Ceramide PCD and Ceramide RX are trade names of the same product form Japan. I then emailed and asked why a bottle of Ceramid PCD was 9.00 for more mg/ capsule and the same one month supply and theirs had less and was more expensive. Their response: Our Packaging is pretty and people in our labs wear PPE.

Just adding this here. Ceramide PCD study was using 350mg Tati's vitamins have 20mg x2 dosage.

Hot and flashy took phytoceramides for a while using 350 mg dosage. Not sure if she is still taking those but you can check her results.
http://www.hotandflashy50.com/phytoceramides-face-lift-bottle/

This bottle has a 100mg dosage and a money back guarantee. I am sure ceramides can help retain moisture but you can try supplements at much cheaper cost. Also we don't know any negatives from the study since it's one study and been done 18 years ago.
https://www.amazon.com/Phytoceramides-Ceramide-PCD-Derived-Gluten-Supplement/dp/B01B06Z7M8/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1520322726&sr=8-4&keywords=ceramide+pcd

Edit: I don't think her product is bad but it is priced high unlike claims it is not. Her launch and explanations are bullshit. Her marketing them as magic and not just citing study for what is it, causes misinformation. The idea was bad and the execution worse. Sadly as a viewer I would hv liked if she informed me what her ingredients are along with the goods and the bads and why she chose to create abrand when there are already so many in the market.

Edit 2: 350 mg is for wheat based phytoceramides and not rice based.

Edit 3: hotandflashy confirmed she's still taking phytoceramides for 6 months a year in winters, from September - March. She said that they help her skin stay more hydrated in the winters.

Your biome is mostly influenced by what you eat. Its hard, but if you can give a low carb/ketogenic style diet a try, you should. There are a few variations but if you ate under 40g of carbs a day, and got them entirely from plants, that would be a great start. The hard part is that it takes about 30 days for your body to adapt to the new fuel so you have to toughen up and commit. Also be warned you may have a large die off of sugar craving bacteria within the first 2 weeks that may give you a rash or moodiness... its a good thing to get through it.. you can take charcoal pills if you want to help clear the dead bacteria.

Probiotics can help you transition, but you probably don't need them after a month or two. Probiotics are transient, your diet is what makes enduring changes to your biome and health.

Especially focus on getting lots of spinach, kale, chard mix in there as you are MTHFR. That is a great source of methylated B vitamins, especially methlyfolate which is what you need. Consider supplementing with glutathione as well to help the cycle. You're not producing SAMe which helps you control histamine, and that lack of production could be whats is giving you symptoms.

Also - if anything you're taking has Folate (not Methlyated) then get rid of it.. You don't want that sitting around in your body blocking the SAMe production.

Since you like supps. Here are some that may help.. but really its the plant heavy ketogenic diet thats going to turn this around for you.

Methylated B vitamins

Glutathione

Turmeric Circumin

On top of this, sleep at least 8 hours a night and make sure you're in bed by 10. During the day you need to break a sweat with some exercise. Both of these things have a dramatic effect on your microbiome. Failing to sleep well and exercise can cut your progress in half.

Go over to r/keto, its a great resource if you're serious about this. There are many people over there just like you seeing good results. And remember to get high quality, grass fed meats and fats!

Good luck!

Sounds like dysthymia. I've been in the same situation.

If you are in a position to be able to see a professional, it would be a good idea to do so. If that's not an option for you right now, here are a few things that have helped me:

    1. 400 mg of SAM-e taken daily on an empty stomach. Wikipedia
    1. Increase sun exposure, by artificial means if necessary. Vitamin D levels have a huge impact on your mental (and physical) health, and our ability to absorb D through the digestive system is poor.
    1. If you are low on D, an oral supplement might be a good idea, in addition to the sun exposure. As stated, digestive absorption is poor, but it does help a little. Use D3, not D2 (if a D supplement doesn't specify, that means it's the cheaper to produce D2). D2 is the form used by plants, but vertebrates use and produce D3.
    1. Use a krill oil and/or flax seed oil supplement. Both are a good source of Omega-3, which also has an impact on brain health.
    1. Get adequate sleep.
    1. Raise your heart rate, i.e. exercise. 3-4 times a week. It doesn't have to be strenuous, just enough to get your heart going.

There are several more things that might help, but the above is a good place to start.

Focusing on your health should be the first priority. Optimizing your normal hormone levels through the lessening of phytoestrogens, estrogen-mimics, and gluten(contains natural estrogens and lowers metabolism. I would eat more meat and take a multi-vitamin.

https://www.amazon.com/Thorne-Research-Nutrients-Complete-Multivitamin/dp/B00FOTMGTU/ref=pd_sim_121_17?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00FOTMGTU&pd_rd_r=2189Q2DGWAC7WJD38DTQ&pd_rd_w=o42By&pd_rd_wg=jXuzU&psc=1&refRID=2189Q2DGWAC7WJD38DTQ

This will work fine and that is what I take. Vitamin E is a natural aromatase inhibitor and I take about 2000iu mixed tocopherols per day. Big boost in erectile quality and testosterone production. Zinc helps too as a T booster and an aromatase inhibitor.

Check this website to help with boosting testosterone. www.anabolicmen.com

If you are hell-bent on the PCT and pro-hormone, keep in mind that exogenous hormones can interfere with your natural production and as testosterone increases, so does estrogen through the aromatase enzyme. An aromatase inhibitor is almost always necessary when thinking about raising testosterone.

Check out It Starts With the Egg! It has great recommendations as well as explains the science behind it all. Is your husband on a multivitamin? I’d start there. There are multivitamins for men that are formulated to benefit sperm such as FertilAid or ConceptionXR. CoQ10 is a good addition for both of you as well.

Good call, I'll have to run more tests.

From what I've been reading
>Folic acid needs to be avoided more seriously by homozygous individuals

>Limit ingestion of folic acid in fortified foods as you cannot process folic acid well.

>Limit or cease taking supplements or drugs with folic acid in them. Talk with your doctor before stopping.

I would want to instead look into 5-MTHF / methyl-b12 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBUCeulUoe0. I was looking at taking a methyl-guard supplement once a day. (I threw the idea past a few nutritionists who thought maybe 1 a day wouldn't be bad.) Ideally, I'd like to get this testing done -- http://www.holisticheal.com/health-tests/nutrigenomic-testing, but, I don't really have the funds right now (I can barely afford Paleo food, haha.) Just trying to make sure I'm reading this raw data correctly.

(I don't have insurance or a primary.. or sweet geneticist cash. I do have 40 bucks for some methyl-guard that comes right out of the grass-fed meat fund, lol.)

I've been getting frequent migraines and was reading that extra folic acid / b vitamins were possibly able to help with that. In looking to eat more, I noticed this possibly reduced enzymatic activity that would change the ideal form of supplements for my chemistry.

In reading a little more, I might play it safe and just supplement with this -- http://www.amazon.com/L-5-MTHF-Sublingual-Metafolin-Methylcobalamin-Methylfolate/dp/B00822JNTC Tricky.

Edit: Did more testing. Better get to a geneticist.

I actually used this supplement that is specifically formulated for POTS by Dr. Driscoll, an optometrist whose life was sidelined by her illness.

I don't usually recommend it although it was VERY helpful because of some of the side effects I experienced at higher doses (throat swelling). At half of the recommended dose though, I felt incredible and it was really the first thing that brought me back to life. I didn't see any other users report that side effect, so it was probably just me.

But the supplement was honestly life changing. I'm glad you are spreading the word. I hope that more folks can know about this, as it is a super easy and relatively cheap treatment.

u/VeganMinecraft · 2 pointsr/vegan

You take Vitamin K2 with it to direct calcium to your bones and teeth instead of arteries. I take the occasional vitamin K2 supplement to be on the safer side. Like here

u/Debonaire_Death · 2 pointsr/bulimia

For starters, you need nutrients. I would recommend a greens powder on an empty stomach in the morning. Getting your nutrients will help you think more clearly about this, and you need to think clearly.

Second, you've got to be open with your parents about this. I know it's shameful, I've been there, but they love you. They can only help you if you're honest with them about this.

I would strongly recommend a Vipassana meditation retreat. They have them all over the place, and they are completely donation-based. They provide food and board, and you aren't allowed to have any food in your room, just during meal times in dining area.

I did it and it helped a lot. You just sit and pay attention to your feelings without judgment, and recognize that they're impermanent. It's a real trip but it also really helps you step back and look at yourself. You also get ultimate privacy because the whole retreat is done in "Noble silence", which means that not only do people not talk to you but they also avoid making eye contact. There are really inspirational recorded lectures played every evening by a pretty amazing guru, S. N. Goenka. He's great, a real-life laughing Buddha. Real recordings of his voice are also used for instructions. He's good and it's a wholesome program. I didn't meet a bad person there. It can also count as therapy.

Take it seriously, and it can be a rewarding reset of yourself. You're calmly and silently experiencing the present for days, with interludes to eat food... the thing is, if you do it right, meditation is profoundly calming. Just be humble. Don't have pretense of it being beneath you. It's an amazing thing to do, you just have to stop getting upset when you lose focus. The noble silence really helps, too, to quiet your mind.

They make you agree not to leave, but people always do. It is not a cult and they won't keep you there.

Maca root is a wonderful superfood! google it. I buy it in gelatinized powder form (gelatinized just means that the way the root was prepped will make it easier for you to digest as is. Non-gelatinized maca is used for cooking purposes and can be hard on the stomach if taken as is). It has a sweet distinctive taste... sort of like butterscotch-y. The banana in my smoothie offsets it a bit. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/Anthonys-Organic-Gelatinized-Gluten-Free-Non-GMO/dp/B00KN6MLO4/ref=sr_1_9_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1493916833&sr=8-9&keywords=maca+root+powder+organic

I just started playing with AVB tabs and mine have all weighed between .2 and .3, using these caps off amazon. I take 3 and I creep up to an [8] for a good stretch. Of course body weight and tolerance has to be factored in, and thankfully I'm a scrawny little shit.

Cat's Claw is a great herbal supplement, it's all I take for my Crohn's Disease. Its stopped painful cramps and flare ups in a minute, like it works so fast. Definitely handy when you can take medicine when a flare up happens. I've had Crohn's Disease for 8 years, been off all prescription drugs for 4, and that herb has been a life saver for me.

>10mg Maca a day

That seems...low. You are taking whole maca root powder, or an extract? I eat 1-3 tsp of this per day and haven't noticed any changes myself. I just like the taste.

The previously-studied benefits of BCAAs primarily come from the leucine, so an alternate option would be just to add some leucine powder to your protein shakes. As long as your protein doses are hitting the ~3 gram leucine threshold then you will be maximizing muscle protein synthesis.

Take your vitamins! My neurologist has me taking a vitamin D supplement, magnesium (magnesium is very important for migraine sufferers) Iron. Even though I eat plenty of red meat and greens I was still iron deficient. Another great supplement to look into is called butterbur with feverfew, my neurologist HIGHLY recommends it, you can find it on amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Butterbur-Feverfew-60-Capsules/dp/B0013OVXWQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343226804&sr=8-2&keywords=feverfew+migraine

Currently I am treating my symptoms until my doctors and I can find the root cause. Everything is trial and error. All I can offer is advice on how to manage symptoms. If you want to know what they do go ahead and do your own research. This is what I take on a daily basis. Dosage is what works with me. It's going to be different for everyone else.

I copied and pasted a spreed sheet so the formattings off.

Compound: Daily Dose: Notes:

Huperzine A 1 x 100mcg x 2 1st dose in morning and 2nd before bed

Acetyl-L-Carnitine 2 x 500mg x 3 Don’t always take 3rd dose due to close to wanting to fall asleep

Alpha GPC 1 x 300mg x 3 Don’t always take 3rd dose due to close to wanting to fall asleep

Magnesium Threonate 1 x 500mg x 3 Last dose before bed

L-Theanine 1 x 200mg x 3 Only take mid day if I need to calm down or concentrate on a task. Last dose before bed.

Noopept 1 x 10mg x ? I am waiting to receive this in the mail :)

Vitamin D3 1 x 1000 IU x 4 2 x 1000 IU in the morning. Take with food.

Quercetine 1 x 200 mg x 3 Take with food

Grape Seed Extract 1 x ? x 3 Take with food.

Korean Red Ginseng ? I am waiting to receive this in the mail :)

I buy most from Absorb Health, www.absorbyourhealth.com, also custom fees into Canada are not bad. $400 Canadian would probably get you 4 - 5 months of supplements based on my dosages.

I also take medical cannabis daily. I used to take CBD and THC combined using a vaporizer but since I started nootropics I no longer feel the need to use CBD. I have switched to concentrates and have much more effective results. Rick Simon oil seems to be most effective however eating oil on empty stomach makes me symptomatic.

They're pretty cheap to give a go, and it definitely does work for reducing BP. At 1 pill a day, I didn't notice much congestion. It wasn't until I started 2 a day that it really hit me. YMMV of course.

u/SapphireDahlia · 1 pointr/CrohnsDisease

If I tried the same thing as you, I would still be sick.

How about this:

+4500mg Cat's Claw (NOW Brand is really nice)

\<0.15 V/m RF Acoustimeter reading in your bedroom

\<1 milligauss Magnetic Field Meter reading in your bedroom

+Almond Milk or Organic Peanut Butter (for Vit E)

+Kimchi (for diverse Veg Probiotics)

+Raw Milk (for diverse Milk Probiotics)

-Fruit (except for organic thick skin fruits such as pineapple and mango, to reduce exposure to pesticides)

+Carbs (it's ok to eat gluten unless you have gluten intolerance, we need the glucose)

+Carrots (for Vitamin K)

+Eggs (for phosphorus)

+Stetzer Filters for home

+Red Meat (for Iron which is used to create tissue and red blood cells)

-Move bedhead away from any outlets

This probably looks very convoluted and probably doesn't make much sense which is actually a good thing, because it makes you aware of variables you hadn't considered. According to the American Association of Environmental Medicine, the greatest risk to human health in the 21st century is over-exposure to non-ionizing radiation which is emitted from anything that uses electricity such as wires, computers, powerlines, cellphones, cell towers, smart meters, electrical outlets, microwaves, etc. Non-ionizing radiation stimulates the nervous system and yes it doesn't cause thermal damage, but it can cause damage to the body in other ways. By over-stimulating the nervous system, cells become stressed causing free radicals to be produced. Free radicals damage DNA and if you've taken biology, you would know that one type of DNA damage is deletion of a stop codon which causes cancer. Well if you are getting rid of stop codons in the nervous system, it makes sense you could potentially develop a problem where the nervous system doesn't stop, and if your cells are constantly stressed, it makes sense that your cells would become more sensitive. Non-thermal non-ionizing radiation has been linked to cancer, neurological diseases, allergies (allergies to electricity), DNA damage, chromosomal damage, and more.

Cat's Claw is a potent anti-inflammatory herb with genetic repairing capabilities. Start 500mg and increase at own pace. Expect diarrhea the first 1-2 weeks, which is common and will go away with use. At full dose (4500mg), it would be capable of stopping a flare up in less than 2 minutes.

Nutrition is extremely important but I expect you to figure out what nutrients you are missing. Red meat is probably the most important so you don't become anemic, and a source of phosphorus (Sugar+Phosphate+Base = DNA)

Hey in addition to my previous comment, while not nootropics, I did recently start supplementing with a B vitamin complex, along with vitamin D3 and K2 and this seems to be really helpful to me, it way reduced my stress level and improved my mood, energy and cognitive function. Magnesium (recommend glycinate) would be another basic one to look at supplementing as many people are deficient.

Specifically these:

B Complex

Vit D3

Vit K2

Did a decent amount of research before picking these particular products.

If you're interested in some supplements to try to help, I have my husband taking FertilAid for Men, MotilityBoost, fish oil, and L-Carnitine. He also smokes quite a bit - not heavily - but definitely enough for it to be a cause for concern from me at least. So I've been pushing him to take other measures to be as healthy as possible. Good luck. Hopefully your next test will give you better results!

Thanks hun. As far as rogaine goes, I'm not really sure if I noticed more shedding because I'm constantly shedding a large amount of hair everyday anyway (probably anywhere between 150-350 strands a day). I started rogaine and I figured that if I didn't it would just get worse anyways, so I might as well start now sort of thing.

I did notice however that using a sulfate free shampoo helps a LOT. I've used the Nioxin line, and I'm thinking of going back to it, but currently I use the Loreal EverSleek line and I've added some essential oils to the shampoo that I bought from NOW off amazon (Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Tee Tree, Rosemary, Jojoba, and Castor Oil). I usually ad a couple drops of each. It does make a difference using these for me at least and I've been using them about a month and my shedding has gone down.

Every week I do a caster oil mask on my scalp for three hours then rinse it out, and I'm hoping to see results from this soon too. I've also stopped washing my hair every day and wearing it in tight hairstyles. When I have to wear it up I usually try to tie it loosely with the really thin hair ties because they're less tight and damaging. I don't use heat on my hair or scalp anymore at all either.

Biotin itself may not help at all honestly, but I've been taking the one a day hair skin and nails vitamins, a b complex and iron every day (I am anemic too sadly). Oh, which is also why anything minty pretty much on your hair will only do good. It gets the blood flowing up there to the roots. I don't know if you're anemic or not, but I has helped slightly for me. Exercising lightly a couple times a week is important too, as well as eating fruits and veggies (which I can't stand sometimes). I've been making a lot of smoothies lately and adding THIS stuff in and you seriously can't even taste it, it's awesome.

Hopefully this has been helpful. I hope you have good luck in all of this. Keep you're chin up, in the end I always think how amazing it is to be alive and be able to watch the sun set every day. We truly are lucky, even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes.

Was looking at that. In my opinion this looks better: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009A6KFDC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

It's MK-7, cheaper per capsule, too. It's natto derived instead of asfafa.

My physician suggested the herb "Butterbur" for me, but I was unable to afford a trial of it (I'm on an extremely limited income). I understand it has a few good studies behind its use, and he was confident in the recommendation. (We ended up going with the prescription medication Gabapentin instead, and it's worked wonders for me.)

I realize you said your family took her to one doctor, but that's never the end-all, be-all! Get a second opinion, if you can! There are dozens of medications that can be prescribed to prevent migraine.

Also, see if you can help her keep a food diary - that's where she writes down what she eats each day, and you refer to it when she gets a migraine (and write that down, too), to try to make an association. Sometimes there isn't one - and sometimes there are more than one food triggers.

Walking out into bright light, first thing, is one of my triggers - sunlight can easily set me off. Loud sounds, too. Being suddenly startled can trigger them for me. Movie theaters have a 100% success rate of triggering a migraine in me (but are sometimes worth it).

I would suspect that before the addiction, they were depressed, and the stimulants act as an anti-depressant for them via the adrenaline pathway, which can in fact be activated via a powerful supplement known as "SAM-e".

I don't want to get too sciencey and theoretical in my wording, the best thing I could do is point you to the Amazon reviews and show you what the public has to say about it. It is quite an expensive supplement, but it could potentially help family members ween themselves off the speed.

It must be taken on a completely empty stomach, as well as waiting an hour after consumption to eat anything. A little milk or a little coffee will completely ruin it in my experience. Might help normal people out too, be more productive et al.

XEndurance immune boost profile is okay, but look into: https://www.amazon.com/Thorne-Research-Nutrients-Complete-Multivitamin/dp/B00FOTMGTU/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1549725880&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=thorne+basic+nutrients+2+day&psc=1

A lot of the key nutrients are chelated which is a better form from what I've gathered and Thorne is a solid brand. (please correct if I'm wrong on the chelation comment)

If you're willing to take a liquid multivitamin, this is the one I use and like. That said, you may not need one depending on what you are eating. I have also tried the My Kind Organics vitamins and was really happy with the products themselves, but the spray cap they use was a little messy and frustrating. Good luck!

Even some of the Christian ones can help you. They're not all stuck thinking only God can make you better. Worth trying at least.

Otherwise, I really recommend Sam-E supplements on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Nature-Made-Complete-400mg-Tablets/dp/B0002D150Y

Cheaper than your normal antidepressants and in a couple weeks my friends and family noticed a big difference.

u/StraightTooth · 1 pointr/depressionregimens

do you have some money to spend? SAM-e is a pretty safe supplement and starts working within two weeks. any kind that comes in a blister pack works. drs best is usually good value for the price https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Support-Enteric-Tablets/dp/B0011FTJZ0 take one in the morning and one before lunch, on an empty stomach. if you tolerate it well increase to 2 per dose, if you get stomach upset, back down

EDIT: don't take it if you are on SSRIs or are bipolar

u/nextinlin3 · 1 pointr/Nootropics

Here's one I have taken before...

https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-MK-7-mcg-Count/dp/B0013OVVFA/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?keywords=jarrow+k2+complex&qid=1551302384&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmr1

Jarrows also has one with both versions of K2 - MK4 and MK7

There are other brands that combine the two. K2 as MK4, looks like you want a higher amount per dose, something like 1,000mcg to 1,500 mcg and K2 as MK7 is fine around 100mcg per 5,000iu of Vitamin -D

Yes! Amazing product, totally worth getting it.

Yep! This is the stuff I use.

u/sowhatquestion · 1 pointr/Nootropics

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. To be precise, I'm mixing a low-carb version of Soylent by modifying the official Soylent. For one day's worth of food, I'm using two thirds of the powder, all of the oil, one serving of Jarrow Optimal Plant Protein, and two tablespoons of coconut oil. I think this comes out to something like 170g carbs per day.

I will try the bulletproof coffee thing again! I tried it once and thought it was pretty cool (although not earth-shattering in terms of an energy boost), but I'd forgotten about it.

You could even put them into gel caps.

You could have some vagus nerve dysfunction especially if you have a lot of stress. The vagus nerve is responsible for the Parasympathetic state (rest and digest). It controls the muscles of your digestive system. Anyways, there are supplements that you can use to boost and stimulate this nerve.

  • alpha GPC (a form of choline)
  • Acetyl - Carnitine
  • Huperzia A
  • Vitamin B1 Thiamin

I've used this product called Parasym before and it works really well. Also a really cool calming effect too. It has the ingredients I listed above but you can buy em sperate and it would be cheaper.

You could also try a nicotine patch on your stomach haha. Nicotine is very good a stimulating the vagus nerve because it acts on the acetylcholine pathway.
u/LovelyResearcher · 1 pointr/DarkNetMarkets

For the vitamins btw, I strongly urge you to buy this every month you are using stimulants. It's a bit expensive... but, can you really not afford this if you are doing Methamphetamine often?

The best supplement, in my opinion

This gets you so many things that help with life in general, and stimming. The brand quality tests, posts their results, and calls out companies that use fake or low quality ingredients to deceive consumers. They are even represented by some national sports teams in the United States.

I'm a big fan of macrolife greens https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F4H5UO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_1QWRAbDHP3WW9

It's $1 a serving and fulfills the same check marks as green vibrance for the most part.

u/lovethismoment · 1 pointr/GERD

Vitamin K2.
I take an even better version of it called MK-7. It's more expensive, but your body absorbs WAY more of it, so I definitely think it's worth it.

In a moment of desperate sadness, I ordered my husband some Fertilaid. He hasn't started taking it yet because I want to run it past our RE, but everything I've read about it online is pretty favorable and the mix is slightly different/more potent than the multivitamin he takes, so might as well try it.

Crohn's diagnosis here:
Low EMF environment
Cat's Claw

So turn off the wifi, put cellphone in airplane mode, because they RF promotes inflammation and stimulates cells. It helps to turn them off to help the body calm down. This is a handy device I highly recommend as well, RF Acoustimeter
