Here you go!
I really cannot stress how wrong this is. Anything that was popular, and is unopened is going to be worth at least $100, even Diddy Kong Racing is worth a few hundred unopened because by and large there aren't a lot of unopened videogames lying around.

RIP Controller joystick, You can buy a replacement joystick here
Also, shouldn't these fast food joints get rid of these by now?

edit: it's been fun guys but I got to get back to it.
edit2: back to answer some more questions
edit3: I've been answering questions all day and the body needs rest.
edit4: don't forget to buy my book on [amazon] (http://www.amazon.com/The-Legend-Zelda-Ocarina-nintendo-64/dp/B00000DMB3/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383003293&sr=8-2&keywords=oot)
It looks to be this one.
That day is already today. Some Games sell for $500 or more
Easily replaced.

http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Joystick/dp/B000F7V2GO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1374524842&sr=8-2&keywords=n64+joystick
they're pretty easy to replace, just make sure everything goes back the way you took it apart.
On the cheap?
Fix it. Or replace em.
Speaking from experience just head to your local video game store (one thats sells used stuff) then buy the best three used nintendo brand controllers they have. Just check to make sure all the buttons are good the sticks don't matter at this point.
Now hit up amazon and look for these http://www.amazon.com/Redesigned-REPLACEMENT-Joystick-Controller-Thumbstick/dp/B009MRZAUC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369407445&sr=8-1&keywords=n64+joystick
These joysticks are not like the ones that come with the nintendo controllers they don't have the ball joint at the bottom that wears out. Look at these other sticks for comparison. http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Joystick/dp/B000F7V2GO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1369407445&sr=8-2&keywords=n64+joystick
You can see how they are different. The joysticks are easy to swap out and you will not wear them out unlike the traditional joysticks. You will always have "tight sticks"
Hope this helps you out man.
>These are over 10 years old, made for a platform that hasn't been supported for near as many, and have since been updated in a newer and better format.
Good observation! Here's some more games that can fit that description!:
Also, Red and Blue are "Best selling RPG on the Game Boy" and "Best selling RPG of all time.". Finding these for less than 10 bucks is a good find none the less.
New goldeneyes go for 400.
Pokemon snap is far from rare
To be fair, a new boxed copy of Super Mario 64 isn't cheap. I'm sure if you can find a used copy of Catan from the 90s it won't be selling for the MSRP of $40.
EDIT: Well maybe I'm not entirely sure. Looks like there's a lot of jerks on ebay selling the 3rd edition of Catan for $70. Still the point is, at least 20 year board games are still new and in print.
damn! Why is the game so valuable? http://www.amazon.com/Conkers-Bad-Fur-Day-Nintendo-64/dp/B00004U1R2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407937926&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=coker%27s+super+nintendo
Apparently you can get one here. But ooh boy...
Actually it's much more expensive than that.
N64 version - $20
3DS version - $23
Gamecube version, with original and Master Quest - $25
Collector's disc - OoT, Majora's Mask, Zelda 1 and 2 - $40
Or there's the Wii Virtual Console version for $10.
Alternatively, you can play it on your PC with the retexture mod. I've been wanting to try that for a while but never got around to it.
I'd suggest you use a sticker of Yoshi's Story.
Dan has expressed his interest in both cute games, and 2d games. If we send them Yoshi's Story, hopefully Dan will learn about the game before playing (Arin could tell him about it or something), and he'll get excited to play... then Glover!
Seriously, if I could I would do this.

You could do this for less than $20.
Dang, it's not cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Conkers-Bad-Fur-Day-Nintendo-64/dp/B00004U1R2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347507944&sr=8-1&keywords=conker%27s+bad+fur+day
>Or people might think they're charging 20 bucks for a 18 y.o. game lol.
$30 at gamestop - http://www.gamestop.com/games/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time/122505
$28+ on amazon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00000DMB3/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
Also, 'eShop' is Nintendo's digital shop for Wii U and 3DS. Since Ocarina of Time is not released for Wii U, it's obviously 3DS. You could also click the link and see that it says "System Nintendo 3DS" pretty clearly on the sidebar. It's pretty blatantly obvious that this is talking about the 3DS version.

Actually it's going for super cheap over at Amazon by the Kritzz man himself here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B079X2HK7W/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
I collect Nintendo video games as a hobby, I know how much it is worth...
Here's proof:
http://www.amazon.com/Super-Smash-Bros-nintendo-64/dp/B00000J2W7
Further, the one is op's picture is in pristine condition, so it is worth closer to $70 than $60.
I really recommend the retrobit 64 from Amazon. As for games, just be careful to watch for repros.
Here he is on amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Animal-Crossing-Villager-Figure/dp/B01H5S17WO/ref=sr_1_42?ie=UTF8&qid=1522277802&sr=8-42&keywords=animal+crossing
Here's your options N64, Game Cube or buy a wii and get it on virtual console. You'll also need a gamecube controller for Wii.
http://www.amazon.com/Mario-Kart-64-nintendo/dp/B00000DMAX/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333324686&sr=8-1
Might wanna consider selling that mario kart w/ box and just getting him a used one or something.
Maybe I should buy it....
http://www.amazon.com/Legend-Zelda-Ocarina-Time-nintendo-64/dp/B00000DMB3
My N64 is still hooked up to my TV (with a working controller! :O) all I would have to do is have the game arrive at my house.
http://www.amazon.com/The-Legend-Zelda-Majoras-Nintendo-64/dp/B00004U1R1
23 used for 30 dollars
You'd have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. Or order it from Amazon. Whichever.
They're all around that price but yeah, I did.
And you can still get your copy of goldeneye online for the low low price of http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00000DMAT !!!!!
True, though playing N64 Quake II using this would probably be a pain in the ass considering that the D-Pad moves and the joystick turns.
Replacement joysticks if you need them.
My thoughts - Normally when going to college, the best tool is a laptop. It takes up much less space in the dorm and allows you to take your computer with you to classes. As such, I would go with emulation + a decent TV + an HDMI output on said laptop. Pick up one of these -
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Smartjoy-PC-Controller-Adapter-Converter/dp/B0009VIZSY/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1397721078&sr=8-11&keywords=SNES+USB+adapter
and a solid SNES controller. That will get you set for any NES and SNES game you want to play. If you want to expand your library a little more, pick up one of these -
http://www.amazon.com/May-Flash-Controller-Adapter-Nintendo-64/dp/B002B9FIUU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1397721145&sr=8-6&keywords=SNES+USB+adapter
and a N64 controller. Then, as a small (10 minutes, tops) project, get one of these -
http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Joystick/dp/B000F7V2GO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1397721237&sr=8-2&keywords=N64+stick+replacement
and you'll have an amazing N64 controller and a bunch of new games to add to your play list.
How about Mario Kart 64? I see that you are collecting fun N64 games, and I always had tons of playing MK64. The graphics aren't the best, but that's part of the fun.
For Me: Anna mug!
I'd also recommend checking out:
DK64
Banjo-Kazooie
Yoshi's Story
Mario Party
You just buy a little piece like this, open up the controller, unplug the old, plug in the new, and put it back together. Fairly simple, really.
Super Mario 64! I know it's not a current game, but I didn't get the N64 until my brother went to college and I've always wanted this game. My cousin had it and I loved playing it.
EDIT: eggplant wizard
The Turtle Beaches are going for around $30 used on Amazon. Mario Party 2 is going for around $22, Mario Party 1 is around $16, 007 is around $8. I can't really justify throwing in Dead Island too.
Most replacement analog sticks for n64 controllers are actually clones of the gamecube stick now (look at user submitted pics) :
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Controller-Thumbstick-Joystick-Replacement/dp/B000F7V2GO/
I'd ask before buying one though.
This is the one I have used. It also has good pics and a good read on how to replace.
You can also trying to take apart the housing to reseed your joystick... Getting it back together is a two man job with lots of cussing I have found it easier to just replace it the whole joystick unit than try to reseed it.
Take pics to reassemble it correctly or watch youtube while doing it. Keep the controller upside down while open, reseeding the shoulder buttons is a pain and if you can avoid that it will make your day sooooo much better.
This is an awesome thing, I bought one for an n64 controller so i could play the games on an emulator without having to re-figure controls on a dual shock. Its super awesome and easy to switch out.
Awesome. I have one of these that I take jogging with me.

Cheapest used Super Smash Bros. - $53
Cheapest used Super Mario 64 - $28
Cheapest used Mario Kart 64 - $48
Cheapest used NFL Blitz - $13
Total cost: $207 + Shipping and handling to get the cheapest cost without factoring in condition.
Would you kindly let me give away The Walking Dead to a friend if I win? I already have both games but I know someone who would enjoy it if that's ok.
I don't have a specific memory, but when I think of gaming memories, I think of when I would play Donkey Kong 64 and my sister would watch me play. Here's Super Mario 64, a game that I missed out playing on the N64. I had the DS version, but I think I sold it. :/
You're welcome

It's like $15 plus shipping.
I usually just buy the used copies which are super cheap.
Jet force gemini for $2 + $4 shipping
Replace it with this and you'll never have a crappy control stick. Cheap and useful.
If you still want it and are willing to wait, you can get it for a bit under $20 from amazon.
They can be expensive, even used, from what I've seen online (as seen by Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on Amazon). But if you can find them cheap in a local used game store, that isn't Gamestop, definitely grab em!
I wasn't using opportunist bids. I found 3 auctions for each game and averaged them. If I were wanting to use opportunist bids, I would've only used 1 auction. 3 auctions pointing to the same thing is not 'opportunist' it's an average. Also, if you click on 'completed auctions' on the VGPC page, you'll see that the previous 3 before the most recent (exorbitantly priced) auction, are all at the $20 mark. Furthermore, Amazon is a horrible gauge of price, since they're typically 20-30% above FMV.
Also, about the eBay 'buy it now' auctions. You didn't even use completed auctions. You can list an item at any price you want, it doesn't mean it's going to sell for that price.
Using my numbers, if you didn't read the whole thing, you'll see that the average number for Path of the Furon was for a complete copy. Was his copy complete? No, no it wasn't. Also, I used the '~' symbol, which means about.
Also, you talk about me using inaccurate prices, when you use 20-30% above FMV prices, you don't look at the completed auctions, and you look at one (obviously way too high) number on VGPC, instead of using the completed auctions they conveniently provided on the page. I'm sorry, but that's wholly inaccurate. That's like me saying that my OoT is worth $40 because that's the cheapest copy with a game + manual in good condition. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00000DMB3/sr=8-1/qid=1344790552/ref=olp_page_next?ie=UTF8&colid=&coliid=&condition=used&me=&qid=1344790552&shipPromoFilter=0&sort=sip&sr=8-1&startIndex=30 it's flat out wrong.
Lastly, I know I stretched it a little bit, but I explained that's because I have personal attachment to the game. I stated it very clearly on my list. It's not like I was asking for Chrono Trigger for it, I was asking for what would be fair to get it off my hands. Which, that being said, isn't even that much of a monetary difference.
I'm sorry you're stuck on your wholly wrong estimations of value. I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. Thank you, and good day.
Open and used and whatever? $25 or something. Probably not much more if not less. New, unused, original shrink wrap OoT? Few hundred bucks.

Smash Bros. for between $250 and $600. Mario Kart is pretty much the same.
Apparently someone donated an unopened copy to Goodwill...

Those are some of the most expensive games I have though which is going to be tricky. Like, I wouldn't do Turtles for both those games, since Turtles goes for at least $60 on Amazon. I could do Super Mario 64 for both those games though. It's going for $30 on Amazon, while ASM goes for ~$13 and SPM goes for ~$10.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HDATZ
I enter with the best copy of this game within your budget. Pokemon is pretty whimsical.

hmm never saw this, saw a fix that used scotch tape but i thought that it would be to unreliable. I decided to get the redesigned joystick on amazon, looks more like a gamecube stick (Here). Though you can get the normal n64 joystick (Here). Was thinking of getting the normal n64 joystick for my other controller, just in case i don't like this new one. But, so far so good. I'll have to look up the springs, see how much they cost and how much of a hassle they are to get into place. The joystick is really easy to replace, just took awhile to take out 10+ screws that have been screwed into plastic for 10+ years.
Only $60? It goes for $150 new on amazon, haha.
Metroid Prime Trilogy is almost $200 new. A new copy of Ocarina of Time goes for upwards of $300. Mass Effect Collector's Editions are super high priced ($600 for new copies).
That's nothing. Some games cost like 150-200$ loose and in bad shape
