As far as I know the Magic Mouse uses teflon feet for easy sliding, and this is just teflon tape. You'd have to cut it out and do all that yourself, though.

Well, my neighbor a couple houses down the street is a huge Dallas fan (shockingly good guy and good sport). So after every touchdown we score, I take my pitching wedge and one of my Eagles golf balls, and send him a little present. I've gone through quite a few golf balls this season. Night games are an added challenge, but with the help of these bad boys I make it work.

Many judo clubs are very much non-profits. You might be able to explain your financial and living situation, and get a reduced rate. I bet most any place I've trained in the last 10 years wouldn't turn me away if I was in danger and couldn't afford training.
Tasers are just going to be expensive no matter what. Plus you have to periodically train with it, and a single training cartridge costs something like $25. May be something to think about long term, but probably not a short term solution.
One of the cheapest, fastest, and easiest things I can think of is to get some of these stickers and put one around the area of concern. It absolutely will not stop someone who knows what they are doing, but it might give pause to some people.
When I mentioned alarm systems, I was thinking something more expensive, but you could also get something like this or this. The main purpose of this is to just make sure you don't get caught sleeping. That's a nighmare scenario. If someone breaks in, and you know about it, have a bat or something and fight. Your odds really aren't that bad. (Thieves and rapists really aren't looking for a life-or-death fight.)

I've fallen in love with melted crayon art. No links to Amazon, as this is something you get to create yourself! Foam posterboard (or something else equally tough), Crayola crayons, hot glue, a hair dryer, and lots of patience. You can make it any color you want, any size, any design, it's all up to you!
I've always loved the look of wall decals. I'd use something more like this, but this one would be more universal.
Anyway, have fun at the new apartment! I was looking through my old pictures yesterday and it made me REALLY miss my college apartment. I want to be you. But seriously, I'm a little jealous. And this might be an example of something that would look cool coming up from behind a low, wide dresser or from behind your bed. (sorry most of them are trees! It seems like that might be something that would work with the national park theme of those prints, though.)

I'm honestly kind of surprised at the amount of Western-themed stuff there is out there. Nightlights, decals for your toilet, candle holders, little light-up wagons...It's crazy.

I don't want to do pictures until it's all done, but I'm very psyched about how our nursery is coming along so far. It's an outdoor indoor/woodsy theme. The walls are painted periwinkle with a really neat mural of brightly colored trees and hills on 3/4 walls. The ceiling is painted dark blue, and we stuck a bunch of these glow in the dark stars up there to make it look like the night sky. We also have some cute artwork, a cozy gray glider, a crib with woodsy-themed crib sheets, a birdhouse lamp we're putting on the wall to look like it's hanging in one of the trees, and a big area rug where the pattern kinda looks like grass. We also have pretty mint green curtains up, and we'll eventually be adding a book shelf (because we now have a TON of books) and probably this growth chart as I think it'll go really well with the rest of the room. The room is still filled with boxes and stuff, but I go in there all the time to rock in the glider, because it's so peaceful and pretty, definitely the nicest area in the house design-wise right now!
