But I feel like having to sit to pee is a fair trade for no awkward boners.

I really wanted to be a boy when I was about 5/6. We had those little paper dixie cups. When I needed to pee, I would take a cup, poke a hole in the bottom, hold it over my nether regions and try to pee standing up. It never worked exactly how I imagined it and I would always end up with pee all over myself and the floor.

Now they make a device for females to pee standing up, but I no longer have such strong penis-envy. It might come in handy camping, though...

I have one of those female urinary devices that is shaped like a funnel so I can pee standing up. I use it for outside music festivals with narsty blue portapotties, camping and whenever I want to write my name in the snow. As most people know, us wimmins mostly sit to pee. I was 28 years into peeing sitting down when I suddenly had to learn how to pee while standing. When you sit, there’s no thinking involved, gravity just does it’s thing and pee just falls out, easy! Peeing while standing though, your body just doesn’t want to do it, your brain says “holy shit don’t even try, you’ll just pee all over yourself!!” and no pee will happen. You actually have to sort of clench the upper muscles in your legs and, like, force the pee out. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever had to learn as an adult. My husband actually had to teach me how to do it, telling me which muscles to use and what foot placement makes the peeing easier...I always thought guys had it so easy and it took me a few weeks of practice before I didn’t have to concentrate on peeing to make pee happen. I still think it’s more convenient to get to pee wherever I want but the actual act of doing it isn’t easy at all. Get the foot placement wrong or arch your back the wrong way and you will still pee on your own shoe, the toilet seat and it will probably get on your leg too.

Since we don't require the aesthetics of a packer like FtM folks, we can pretty much just use any STP. If it's only to pee, and you won't go outside, then use a piss bottle. Gatorade and Powerade bottles have a nice wide mouth. There are also devices like this that allow women to pee while standing.

I always use a piss bottle because if I get out of my tent to pee, I won't be able to go back to sleep. Using a bottle makes it much more likely that I'll be able to go back to sleep. It's also nice in bad weather.

i do know some plastics cant handle heat. i got some 10ml plastic bottles from a local shop and they were shit. i, stupidly, first prepared the thermost with boiling water, put some pg/vg in a bottle, and tossed it in. 30 mins later, i take it out, water is still easily 180, and the bottle has deformed.

looked up the plastic types, and its most likely 1. meant to be used once and thrown away. very, VERY, not heat resistant. when i tried it later with 130F, the bottle didnt deform, but the c02 slurry stuck to the sides like crazy.

next time i'm trying this in one of the silicon bho containers. i'm getting one that can hold about 10ml. i think that will be a better mixing medium. now, what's an easy way to get it into a needle.......a silicon funnel?
