I just changed it with a flat head screwdriver and tweezers, super easy

I used these 194 LEDs from Amazon!

And they've lasted unlike the cheapo ones I had before that kept going out.

Edit: Dusk but during full on daytime you can't see that the lights are on (I drive with my headlights ON)

You can lift that front end about 2in for free: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TorsionBar.shtml

Super easy and will make it look so much better. If you're in town for new shocks, now is a good time to replace them, lifting the front end will make the shocks not operate correctly. Rancho is the only company that makes them for 1-3in lifted rangers.

This will level it out, but if you want to lift the rear as well, you can throw in an add a leaf pretty cheap. I recommend this over new shackles.

Looks like one of your fog lights is busted off, and so is the plastic valence trim. I bought a pair of LED driving lights off amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HLW18T2/ref=twister_B00HM0Q4P6

They are FANTASTIC for 27 bucks. They only draw 27 watts a piece, so you could wire 4 up total (2 per side) to the stock fog light wiring. I only have 2 and they are just unbelievably great, especially for the price. I wired them up to the stock fog wires, and mounted them on top my front bumper, near the corners of the grill. I also did a wiring mod: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-submissions/60478-fog-lamp-mod-1998-only.html

To be able to turn the lights on as long as the headlight switch is on (stock fogs only come on with low beams)

If you live in a rusty area, might want to look into cleaning up your frame with a wire brush and grinder and painting it so it doesn't rust away.

All in all, if you do 4 new shocks, this is about 500 bucks worth of mods. If you don't paint and don't do new shocks it's less than 100 worth of mods, 30 for the lights, 50 or so for the add a leafs. The torsion crank is a free 2in of lift in the front! Makes it look way better. So that's a nice little list of things to start off with.

When I get home tomorrow I can upload a picture of my truck with the front and rear lift, painted frame, and lights so you can get an idea of how it would look.

It is an '82 XS400 special. It ran from 77 to 82. I have drag bars, but left all the cables the original length. The horn bracket got flipped upside down so I could access it/install a new one. I made a bracket that attaches to the bar running down in front of the engine to hold to LED fog lights, run by an auxiliary switch. Painted and wrapped the headers and have emgo shorty mufflers. Emgo pod filters, and a puck-style filter for the breather tube nipple. Led tails, led indicator lights, Upgraded headlight. Point of note on the headlight, mine was a sealed beam halogen. So to add a new bulb you have to buy an aftermarket reflector housing from candlepower.

EDIT: Also forgot Oury grips, cafe mirrors, new fuel lines, fuel filter and vacuum tube.

I can help! They're not factory bulbs. They're 1156 bulbs! LEDs are plug and play for the reverse, so consider upgrading. They're not much more expensive than halogens either and look much much better. These are the ones I am using

u/7rider · 3 pointsr/running

In addition to reflective gear, I would suggest a rear blinker light. These are very light, and you can strap them almost anywhere:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053ZAIYU?

I prefer a waist mounted light:

or

I haven't done the math yet. I'm a bit scared that I'll find that I need to upgrade my battery and alternator. I think it will be good enough for short spurts though.

If power is an issue, my first move will be to add a couple smaller lights to my A pillar or bumper to give me some extra coverage while I'm not using the big 50" light bar.

We may be thinking alike. I'm looking at adding some reverse lights, and also some lower power side lights to use in camp. Low power lights like this should be able to run all night and barely put a dent in the battery charge, although I'm going to get a second battery when I start doing that so that I don't accidentally finding myself unable to start my jeep the next morning. Should I though?? That's a tough question. I have a bike light that I've tethered to trees before, and there's little reason I couldn't continue to use a system like that.

Take the battery life estimates with a grain of salt though. As I said, I haven't done the math yet to see how quickly it will drain the battery.

When I get some lights installed, I'll post some pictures, and I'll be happy to give installation tips and share the math. I have some light testing equipment too, so I may even test throw, lumens and the color spectrum...maybe...it's a lot of work to do all that.

The KC lights, or the headlights + fog?

The 3 KC lights are the Rugged Ridge Light Bar:
(https://www.extremeterrain.com/rugged-ridge-light-bar-black-jk-112322.html?utm_content=XT%20Lights%20-%20Light%20Mounts%20and%20Brackets%7CRugged%20Ridge&utm_source=google-pla&utm_medium=shopping&T5_Var3=yellow&T5_Var4=J13080&intl=0&utm_campaign=XTW+Wrangler+Brands+Low&gclid=CMnnxcSg0NkCFUPRswodljsEXw&gclsrc=ds)

And then a set of 2 KC Apollo driving lights: (KC HiLiTES 151 Apollo Pro 6" 100w Driving Light System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006V7TBBA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_htQMAbYAB8V49)

For for third light, KC sells an 'add on' harness; buy an additional single KC light, and then the harness (http://www.kchilites.com/add-on-wiring-harness-kc-6316.html)

After all that I went to napa and bought a spool of black plastic wiring loom to make everything look nice.

If you've never done ANY wiring before it may be a challenge, but there's infinite YouTube videos out there to help you. The switch is on the left side of the steering wheel above the lower speaker. I can get a picture of the location if you want.

Also, use my links for the part number and search all over eBay and different websites to save some money too.

The headlights are just cheap Amazon ones that are working astonishingly well for being $110. Foglights are the same thing, xprite Amazon ones for cheap. Those you have to remove the front bumper for which was a bit of a pain.

Hope this helps!

We have a 2006 Rockwood. Since its the same manufacturer, we may have the same lights.

Our dinette light is two bulbs, with a half dome...

Outside porch and yard lights...

Small round reading lights.

All overhead lights...

Hope this helps.

Edit: the outside lights and the dinette lights look very similar. Also, the stove hood light uses the same bulb as the overheads.

u/vskid · 2 pointsr/GoRVing

I put these LEDs in my fifth wheel. Cool white,
Warm white

They're 12-28v, some reviews reported issues with using the 12v version from that brand in RVs. The warm white its kinda yellow like the stock incandescents while the cool white looks like a florescent light. Most of my fixtures use two bulbs, so I put one of each in them for a good mix of color temperature. They don't put out quite as much light as the incandescents, but it's still enough and the power usage and heat are reduced a ton. I got a 10 pack of each and they're all working great after 6+ months of daily use.

So I saw you said it didn't have to be related to goats, and I'm sure with the responses as well as your own personal searching you've seen almost everything (at least on amazon) goat related. So I looked through your wish list a bit and something that I kept seeing come up were things that were purple. Sometimes when I've got money burning a whole in my pocket and can't decide what to get, I just look up one work like for instance, the word "purple." Well, I looked it up and on amazon you've got options for a purple coffee maker, purple lights, purple butterfly wall art, purple car lights, or even a purple knife set. None of these things may actually interest you, but searching one word like that gives you such a broad range of things that might spark an idea for something similar.

Thanks for the contest and the #15 is also a favorite of mine so I appreciate you adding that as well! :)

Thanks! It's This kit. Been working great for the past few months, I have it hardwired to my tail lights

Could you provide more info on the subaru tweeters and what exactly needs to be done? I have a 2018 SR5 and have noticed the stereo is pretty subpar as far as sound quality. Is this a fix for it?

Edit: Would this be the interior LED kit you are referencing?

Tell you the truth it really depends and where you're mounting it i went with a light bar because i wanted to mount it to my hood, and was planning on adding rounds to the pillars. These are the ones i was personally looking at. And a close second choice for me

u/paperwaller · 1 pointr/Jeep

Awesome thanks. I think I'm gonna go with squareish since my mounting tabs are somewhat farther out along with the rectangular turning signals. I was thinking of these possibly or something like them. They have decent revies and the price is pretty nice. The [wiring kit is cheap] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GQOGQMA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=10B117VTNAD7T&coliid=I2IEMDVUVB3COO) and has great reviews with one guy saying it was identical/better than his KC wiring kit. This looks like what I may go with unless I can find something brighter for a similar price range.

Thanks for all the help!

Kawell - got them on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DLZSAAI/&qid=1410624428

I've read that there a ton of knock-offs on Amazon, but I made sure I went with a set that was advertised as "Sold by kawell, fulfilled by Amazon" and I'm pretty sure I got a legit pair.

u/Krusha2117 · 1 pointr/wii

So I did some digging around and had a hard time getting any meaningful measurements. I did find this thread in which people are recommending 0603 LEDs like these. Be warned that they are super small and a major pain to solder.

Sorry I couldn't find much more.

Sure, this looks like a pair of front and rear for $10. They're not great lights, but they do help you not be totally invisible in the dark.

2004 Impala ex-owner here with a couple of tips for whatever they're worth.

First and foremost, the petcock (the drain valve for the radiator) is located right there where it drips in the first video, above the actual drain. Tighten that sucker up if it's loose -though I doubt that's the problem. It would be leaking from the middle of the drain, not around it.- which leads me to the next point.

Have you hit any hard potholes or bumps recently? Jiggle the radiator- does it move about, i.e. not snug and tight?

I ask because something similar happened to me traveling on a dirt road once, where I hit a bump, and it knocked the condenser off its hooks. The condenser/radiator aren't secured the best, and Chevy thought it would be genius to have protruding pointy screws right below it, and when the thing fell, the screws pierced the condenser and leaked all my A/C fluid. (I don't know your level of expertise, so just in case, the condenser is a smaller and thinner 'radiator' meant for the A/C system, and it sits in front of the radiator.) Maybe something similar may have happened to you.

That leak looks 85% likely that it's coming directly from the radiator, (and if not, it's coming from a hose that leads to/from the radiator, but I'm not convinced if it's pooling underneath.) Regardless, you're gonna be playing around with the radiator, so learn up on it- it's not that hard to replace.

If you're willing to splurge the extra $10-15, get yourself one of those UV dye kits that come with a UV dye and light. Clean and dry everything up as much as you can, and drip a couple of drops in the radiator. Let it flow for a minute with some coolant, and make like you're in CSI- look for highlighter splotches and follow them back. If they concentrate throughout the fins of the radiator or pool underneath it, you have to change the whole thing. If they seem to be a bit splattered higher up closer to a hose, you found the culprit. Either way, it's not a super hard or bad replacement if you have the patience and a basic set of tools. And if you can't see the source of the leak, as I said, it's most likely damage to the underside/ within the fins of the radiator.

Regardless, I always add my own personal disclaimer: I might be wrong.

Edit: The UV dye and the UV light in question. That particular dye says it's not compatible with DEX-COOL which the impala has, but if I were in that position, I'd give your radiator a nice flush anyways while you're down there. Or, look for one that is compatible.
