hydroflask

Here is their largest.

Hydro Flask's insulated water bottles are made of high quality food grade 18/8 stainless steel. The bottles have no liner (like most aluminum bottles) and are BPA free. Unlike plastic water bottles or single wall stainless bottles, Hydro Flask will keep your beverage of choice at your preferred temperature for hours, whether you choose hot, cold or room temperature liquids. All Hydro Flask products feature a lifetime warranty and are double wall vacuum insulated. They are designed to be lightweight, making them great for long hikes, days on the beach, hot yoga classes, golf, long road trips or everyday office use. Even when filled with ice, the exterior of your Hydro Flask will never leave a puddle on your desk, drip on your shirt, or sweat in your bag.

I saw this here: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B00WG3PVIU/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_4HokDbVN43YD4

I'm amazed, it's a freaking verified purchase. I suppose Amazon has realised the mugs are selling pretty well. Now, please, make a black one!

Quirky?

Zero educational value but definitely fun and quirky for a web developer.

The best you're gonna do is get Kali NetHunter and a supported android device for running it. That has the tools required to crack WPA2 in theory (if breakable) but you will still need a wireless card that supports packet injection like the Alfa.

u/MacWack · 11 pointsr/AskReddit

It will certainly hold tea if that is what you mean by apt. I would argue that more a subtly humoured mug would be more ideal.

I have one of [these style Growlers](http://www.amazon.com/Hydro-Flask-Insulated-Stainless-64-Ounce/dp/B005G5YRYY/] and it holds up really well. After you've opened it you want to drink it within 2-3 days, but it will hold for a little bit unopened in the fridge. I personally think it holds up better than the glass ones.

That said, I use it mostly for if I'm going somewhere with other people, as I rarely finish the whole thing before it starts to go flat.

u/pockified · 4 pointsr/tea

What I personally do is make a big batch of cold brew tea overnight, and then pour the cold brewed tea into my desired container that morning (I use a french press for cold brewing). You could also grandpa-style your tea in a tumbler for teas with large leaves like oolong. That way, the tea leaves are weighed down.

There are also containers like this, which have a filter at a top and keep the tea leaves suspended in the water. That way when you drink it, you don't have tea leaves in your way.

u/Matronix · 4 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I got these for cheaper than this, and tpyically use them or another tulip. They arent 14-16 oz i dont think, but i dont pour out a while one a time. Libbey makes some ones that are similar and cheaper still, though the glass is a bit thicker. a normal pint glass wouldnt be bad though

u/FreelanceSocialist · 4 pointsr/tea

A friend has the Trudeau Teamendous travel mug - I think it is pretty awesome, personally.

u/dukedoc · 3 pointsr/bourbon

Definitely pick up some Glencairn glasses. The glass really helps you get the nose just right, plus it looks dope.

In terms of a best bourbon under $100, there's a lot of choices, but I think a lot of people around here will recommend Four Roses Single Barrel and/or Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (if you can find it) as fantastic bourbons that won't kill your wallet.

u/meeme109 · 3 pointsr/tea

Not negligibly, especially with larger leaf teas. The design of that particular mug above doesn't seem too great, I might go with something more like this: http://www.amazon.com/Trudeau-Mendous-Tumbler-Clear-16-Ounce/dp/B003LJX0MW/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1407120848&sr=8-6&keywords=tea+travel+mug

All that being said, I would say the best place to start with loose leaf tea would be to buy one of these: http://www.adagio.com/gifts/holiday_ingenuiTEA.html You get a nice infuser that you could just decant into a travel mug or whatever, and it comes with a few teas to try. Adagio is a solid tea company to get your feet wet.

The internal interface behaves very poorly in mon. It also can't handle packet injection, so using it in mon is essentially useless from a red team point of view. I'd recommend picking up a $50 Alfa and using it. Great card, and it's essential to me in the field. Supports damn near everything.

u/familynight · 2 pointsr/beer

Do you know if he's into homebrewing? If so, there are lots of good, easy options.

If you want to send him beer, recommendations are going to depend on your location. Packing/shipping isn't all that hard, but here are our Packaging Tips on /r/beertrade.

Otherwise, you could order bottles from an online site (Archer would be a good one). There are also some great books and magazines. A subscription to Draft or Beer Advocate would be good (I think Draft's a bit better). Here are a couple good books: Tasting Beer, The Brewmaster's Table. There are lots more books/magazines for homebrewing. This nice set of Spiegelau Tulip Glasses would always be appreciated. You also could buy him a gift certificate to a a good beer store in his area - you can find most beer stores contact info on BeerAdvocate's Places (just click through to his city). Finally, brewery souvenirs (glasses, shirts, keychains, etc.) are always good gifts for beergeeks from elsewhere.

Hope that helped. /r/homebrewing could probably give you a great rundown of homebrewing options, if need be.

u/Lukerules · 2 pointsr/beer

There is definitely a level of snobbery surrounding certain things and a bad glass certainly doesn't ruin a beer but if the option is there then a nicer glass is always going to be more enjoyable. I'm the first to rally against snobbery and the amount of misinformation being passed around the internet surrounding beer - but I genuinely believe make a very noticeable difference

If I could recommend glasses (people might think I'm a shill for these guys because I always crap on about them here), I would recommend the Spiegelau Stemmed Pilsner. http://www.amazon.com/Spiegelau-Classics-Stemmed-Pilsner-Glasses/dp/B001CFR3XE

They feel so thin but are quite sturdy and just amazing to drink from.

Fear cuts deeper than swords

OOH I LOVE SCAVENGER HUNTS. Placeholder. I'm working on this. Goodbye sunday night productivity.

EDIT Aug 11, 11:44pm PST

1.) something that is gray.

2.) Something reminiscent of rain. It rains so much in my city and on those days I like to have my tea and soup and all the yummy hot homecooked food at school in the library while I study. I already have a great thermos for my tea and hot cocoa but not for my soups/food.

3.) Something food related that is unusual. I don't know if this is necessarily food related but WOOOO TEA. MANA-TEA. Seriously this is awesome.

4.) Something on your list that is for someone other than yourself. A wii for my mom because she has been wanting a wii or ipad for a long time. My bro and i think the wii would be better because at least we could all play it together when we go home to visit.

5.) I will recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It's the book I just finished reading and I feel like it has helped me a lot. I am so much more motivated and driven and it is helping me make some tough choices in my life. I am a senior in college but this book can help anyone who is at any place in their life I think. I currently have this on my wishlist which is like a supplement to the book. Seriously though, read it, share it with everyone you know. Let's make the world a happier place.

6.) An item that is less than a dollar. Awww yeee. They always seem to have one of these on the coffee table at my brother's house. Wherever he lives. Even though it's never his. But yeah, they're cool but I don't actually want one.

7.) Something related to cats. THIS IS SO AWESOME. I have another mug with the disappearing thing on my wishlist too. But yeah, I love cats, I just don't have much cat stuff on my wishlist. I do need a real cat though... hint hint nudge nudge

EDIT Aug 12, 12:15am PST

8.) Something that is not useful, but so beautiful you must have it. Okay it's not Amazon but it is beautiful and I have had my eye on it for a year. Despite that fact that I do not plan on having children for at least 8 years. Dem hormones are a'ragin.

9.) I know it's not REALLY a movie but... A movie everyone should watch at least once in their life. Why? Because it is so beautiful and awe inspiring. It really brings me a sense of peace every time I watch it.

10.) Something that would be useful when the zombies attack. Explain. I can put on my holy strainer hat and pray to The Flying Spaghetti Monster to save me from the zombies.

11.) Something that would have a profound impact on your life and help you to achieve your current goals. I know I used this for another one but really, I think doing these exercises would help me in all areas of life.

12.) One of those pesky Add-On items. These beauties, even though I doubt I can grow them without a yard...

13.) The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why? My little acer hand me down freezes a lot, can't do multiple things at once, doesn't have a cd drive, has a screen too tiny to edit photos or edit my website. Basically everything is frustrating. And I'm a college student. So I use the computer for basically everything... and everything the little laptop CAN do takes forever.

EDIT Aug 12, 1:51am PST

14.) Something bigger than a bread box. If you don't think that is big enough, then here, but it's newly added.

15.) Something smaller than a golf ball. Well, I'm pretty sure this is smaller than a golf ball. If it wasn't, I'd be disappointed.

16.) Something that smells wonderful. Mmm imagine the ginger lemon grass!

17.) A (SFW) toy. And here's another one because I couldn't decide which one looks more fun...

18.) Something that would be helpful for going back to school.

19.) Something related to your current obsession, whatever that may be. Currently obsessed with learning all kinds of new jewelry techniques! Also obsessed with tea because it's the one thing my boyfriend and I developed an interest in together. It didn't start out as either of our interests.

20.) Something that is just so amazing and awe-inspiring that I simply must see it. Explain why it is so grand. THIS IS SO PRETTY AND USEFUL AT THE SAME TIME. Seriously so cute, has lovely details, 8gb, and you can wear it as a pendant. Whaaaat!

EDIT: this lovely is made in oregon!

I do about 90% of my online shopping at Amazon. They have a set of 2 of the IPA glasses for $20. They also have a pretty cool Spieglau "Tasting Kit" for $40.

u/broken_ship · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Oh my gosh, that sounds terrifying!

The worst is when you've already eaten it. I once left a glass of... I think it was juice, on my nightstand overnight. When I woke up the next morning I took a few swigs. It wasn't until I had already finished half the glass that I noticed there were fruit flies in the glass (it was just as my apartment had developed a problem with them). God only know how many I swallowed.

Now, unless its something hot, I drink all of my beverages in a screw top cup with a straw. Those plastic things are expensive, but I'm paranoid. /u/musicAlly told me about these amazing wine glasses that I need to invest in. They're my new favorite thing.

  3. Of all the silly nonsense, this is the stupidest tea party I've ever been to in all my life.

u/littlefuckbunny · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This is my favorite tea cup. A few years ago, when my Grandmother found out that one of my favorite sounds is the clink of a tea cup against it's saucer, she decided that I would inherit one of her sets when she died. She allowed me to take one, though, so I could still hear my sound whenever I wanted. <3 I don't drink out of it often because it's not as big as I'd like, but I can't wait to have tea parties with the set one day.
I am OBSESSED with getting one of these because I LOVE LOVE loose leaf tea and this makes it so much more convenient and travel-friendly because THERE'S A STRAINER BUILT INTO IT. So cool, omg. Also, the double walled glass will help keep your tea hot or cold (I am a new fan of iced tea, btw) for much longer.

Whiskey drinker male here for far too long - so here are my two cents.

  1. Decanters are really kind of pointless. They can look cool but meh.

  2. Whiskey stones suck. I bought them and were really disappointed. Get these things. They fucking ROCK. (No pun intended.)
  3. This guy is basically THE voice on Whiskey. Great read. Unfortunately he has passed away but good guide for the future.
  4. For glassware I have kind of been interested in these just because they look awesome. I personally own these and they also get some great comments. I've personally never really found a shape that changes the taste so I just wanted something a little more flashy.
  5. I'm turning 30 this year and I bought myself a 21 year old bottle of bourbon and am getting it laser engraved. Things Remembered will do anything really so if you know what he likes (or just as an add in, doesn't have to be crazy expensive) maybe an engraved bottle.

Fair enough. After a quick look, looks like they have a different style lie https://www.amazon.com/Suns-Tea-Spill-proof-Double-wall-Borrosilicate/dp/B005X1R1FI which may be more to your liking. The top may not last particularly well in the dishwasher, not sure, but the rest of it certainly will.

I've too have been using the Trudeau and really enjoying it. Primary reasons being that it's BPA-free (important to me) and double-walled (equally important)-- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LJX0MW/?tag=team072-20

I do have to admit. The thought has crossed my mind to use something like this.

I've decided to go to college and I filled out all my financial aid all by myself. :) I am so proud, yay! :)

I am flabbergasted at how wonderful you are!

I am an avid tea drinker, so this tea tumbler would be awesome! :)

glasses

TL;DR - Standard answer, the Glencairn glass (the official {Scotch} Whisk(e)y glass). My current favorite though is the Taylor'd Milestones Reserve Whiskey and Scotch Glasses available HERE

I'm by no means an expert, but I have tried many different shapes of glassware over the years... So, here are some of my experiences.

The standard highball/lowball, with their straight 🥃 (or even at times obtuse _/ ) sides, allows for too much area for many of the aromatics in the whisky to disperse and even escape, making the whisky very bland and uninteresting, thereby "weakening" or "taming" it a bit. Hence, this is where most people start.

Something with a bit of a bowl or tulip (_) to it is kind of the next step up. This helps to concentrate the aromas and can help to bring out some of the subtleties of a good whisky.

Then there is the Glencairn style glasses, which kind of combine the previous two. It is a slightly bowled base with the straightened tip of a lowball. This is the official Scotch Whisky glass, and does a really great job at really getting you intimately close with your whisky, bringing out even the slightest nuances. However, to me, this can be a bit much for whisky that is a little heavy on the nose.

So, the 3 different glasses that I have tried that use a very similar shape to the Glencairn, but widen the rim up a bit, thereby taming the nose ever so slightly, are the Canadian Glencairn, the Norlan, and the Taylor'd Milestones Reserve Whiskey and Scotch Glasses.

The Canadian Glencairn is a great glass but there are two things that bug me a bit about it. First off, it is slightly awkward to drink out of, as you nearly have to put the glass vertical before anything comes out. The second, much more minor issue, is that your hand is right on your whisky only separated by a very thin layer of glass, which will lead to warming up your whisky. Which you may or may not enjoy.

Then came the Norlan glass. It is essentially a Glencairn glass with some aerators in the bowl housed in a double walled tulip shaped glass, that way your hand will not warm up your whisky with a lingering enjoyment of a good dram. However, again, to me, it is just slightly awkward to sip from.

Enter the Taylor'd Milestones Reserve Whiskey and Scotch Glasses. And mentioned above, this is currently my favorite glass to enjoy a nice dram in. It is essentially a Glencairn this has an opening that is about 1.5 times the diameter (which can tame a slightly heavy nosing whisky just the right amount), and then a nice lowball type weight at the bottom of it. So, it feels great in the hand, and you don't have to have your hand right on the whisky if you don't want to. It also feels much more natural to sip from.

The link to the Taylor'd Milestones Reserve Whiskey and Scotch Glasses is at the top, but here are some links to some legit Glencairns.

The original Glencairn - 2 pack, 4 pack, or 6 pack

I would recommend that you use either the seller Stock Your Home or Our Pampered Home, as they both sell the official legitimate Glencairn glassware, and tend to be one of the lowest priced ones as well. There are a substantial amount of fakes out there! So, here are the same links, but for Stock Your Home (if available).

Original - 2 pack, 4 pack, or 6 pack

And then for Our Pampered Home (if available).

Original - 2 pack, 4 pack, or 6 pack

(Sorry for the delayed post, I've had a busy past couple of days)

All the best... Enjoy!

Ok so I could settle on just one because I found a few that I liked so my top 2 are a little less conventional here and here. The secod ones ARE out of stock right now but I like them.

The more "normal" or "classy" glasses I liked were here, here and here. And if your a Star Wars fan these.

Oh and 10 Practical Speed Skating Secrets From Julia Roberts.

Thanks!

If you're drinking an IPA drink it from the Spiegelau IPA Glass. Almost anything else can be drank from a Stemmed Pilsner.

Only exception imo are heavy abv bourbon barrel(or other heavy barrel aged) beers. For those I go with a Teku

Gotcha. So I'd probably do a theme. What I'd do for a beginner's introduction:

Glemorangie 10/Original or Dalwhinnie 15

Glenfiddich 12 or 15

Arran 10

Sprinbank 10

Laphroiag 10 or Talisker 10

Those are all single malts and will be easy enough for beginners to tackle. That's also the order I would taste them in. I wouldn't do more than 5 whiskys for "Tasting" as your palate really starts to break down.

I also recommend getting some tasting/nosing glasses. Here's a set of 6 for ~30$. Not a bad price. There used to be some cheaper ones called bellemain but I can't find them.

The glass will help you get a better handle on the nosing of the whisky.
