Here ya go:
I’ve seen so many posts on women not enjoying sex and/or on partner incompatibility, so I put together a quick info/resource guide to help a girl (or guy) out! I’m a married woman who’s been with the same partner for 15+ years, and I’ve worked in the women’s health field for a long time. I’ve also taken it upon myself to read, research and discover what works! So let’s get started.

Many people don’t realize that *most women need more than just PIV/penetrative sex to orgasm. Most women need external/clitoral stimulation. This can include things like outercourse (rubbing the penis on the outside of the vagina), grinding, dry humping, vibrators, vibrating cock rings, using the knuckles/fingers/mouth directly on the clitoris, foreplay (massages, lingerie, role play...), and etc.

Here’s some female anatomy info if you need help finding the clitoris: https://badgirlsbible.com/vagina-diagram

Here’s some foreplay ideas: https://badgirlsbible.com/foreplay-tips

A good rule for heterosexual sex is to take care of the girl first (clitoral stimulation or foreplay) and THEN take care of the guy. Penetrative sex alone doesn’t help me orgasm, but it does give a sense of closeness and intimacy with my partner, so I do find it enjoyable. If I can orgasm first, however, then penetrative sex usually feels amazing afterwards and it can potentially help me climax even more.

Podcast on how women can learn to achieve orgasm - great listening!: https://badgirlsbible.com/34-the-secret-to-reaching-orgasm-during-sex-with-laurie-mintz-ph-d

For women, so much of sex is mental. If a woman cannot let a certain image of herself go, for whatever reason, it can be hard to feel sexy. This TED talk is great at pinpointing this issue: https://www.ted.com/talks/esther_perel_the_secret_to_desire_in_a_long_term_relationship

Here’s a great survey for you and your partner to take to see if there’s new things you’d like to try in the bedroom: https://mojoupgrade.com/

A couple more tips: If you don’t already, going bare or almost bare down there really helps to feel things more intensely. Many ladies wax (I don’t for personal and convenience reasons); I shave down to almost nothing with this ladies’ razor (it’s quick, easy, painless to use), and it makes for better feeling sex for both my partner and I. https://www.amazon.com/Braun-Silk-%C3%A9pil-Epilator-Electric-Packaging/dp/B00TI5ZN14

Having lube on hand is always nice as well. It doesn’t matter how ‘wet’ you are, extra lube can help with any friction or discomfort. Put a blanket down if you’re worried about being/getting messy!

If you’re having pain, itching or discomfort with condoms, switch to non-latex condoms - some people have a mild allergy and don’t even know it, and it can make a big difference.

Most of all relax, have fun and enjoy the moment and closeness with your partner! <3

Or you could try an Epilator. I have this one and I really like it. It hurts at first but you get used to it pretty fast and if you keep up with it the hairs seems to come back a lot slower. I've even used it on my bikini line.

It looks like they've come out with newer models and mine is no longer sold.

u/Wrecktacular · 8 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

I'd try an at-home facial sugaring or waxing kit, learn to thread, or buy an epliator, like this one.

The thing is, waxing, sugaring, threading, and epliating are painful. I find waxing to be the least painful, and threading and epilators to be equally as painful, but the epilators are fast, so you can get it over with quickly.

Once you start removing the hair right at the root, it starts to grow in a little finer, so it looks lighter and less visible.

Threading is the least expensive, because all you need is thread. Do a search on youtube, and you can be an expert self-threader by the end of the afternoon.

u/button_R · 6 pointsr/malegrooming

I ended up getting this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B016MPH7U2/

Mostly because for the regular one many people seemed to complain that the regular trimmer pulled hairs and didn't give it a clean shave, so this one came with both to try. I had lowish expectations since the reviews were mixed. It did take a bit to get used to.

If you can handle waxing and don't have sensitive skin I would do it instead. I would rather go to a place and pay for waxing but I broke out really bad and got a bad rash the one time I tried:(

u/doublexhelix · 6 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

My dad is Armenian too and I have this same problem! I've tried everything, shaving, waxing, plucking, the spring thing mentioned below, even two separate rounds (each 1 year) of laser hair removal. The thing that works best is indeed my epilator! I have this one and it doesn't hurt on my jawline or neck at all, just around my lips. I would say try yours before going and buying anything else. I use it at least every other night, but usually every night because I don't want anyone to see even the smallest amount of hair. But yeah it's been life changing.!!

u/plutonium743 · 6 pointsr/AskWomen

It depends on what kind of electric razor it is. If it's a bladed edge (like the kind you shave your head with) it's not possible to get completely smooth. If it's a foil razor (similar to a guy's facial razor) then you can get almost completely smooth. I only learned about the latter when I bought a razor that has interchangeable heads of each kind.

Edit: This is the one I have

u/LivPlusPlus · 6 pointsr/MtF

Since there's a bunch of people suggesting epilators, I'll join the party...

Epilate! It's the beeeest. Hurts like hell for a while, but so worth it, and really easy once you've done it for a while.

Also, when I switched from a cheaper ($60) one to a pricier epilator... Life-changing. The difference in pain levels and efficiency is astounding. The more expensive one hurts way less and pulls hairs quickly and cleanly instead of breaking them.

For reference: http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Silk-Epil-Wet-Cordless-Epilator/dp/B00TI5ZN14 (SO GOOD.)

u/lizardlemon · 6 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

Sure!

It's the Emjoi Devine.

It might be worth it to buy something of better quality, but I wasn't sure if I could take the pain and went with the cheap try-out epilator. If this one breaks down, I'll probably buy one of the more expensive options.

u/nmteddy · 6 pointsr/ABCDesis

The best purchase I've made in 2016 is my epilator. Yes it hurt at first, but it really did make me feel like I really conquered my body hair.

In grown hairs can be a problem but my post epilating routine has saved me from that. First, I use a homemade sugar scrub (white sugar, lemon juice, almond oil, and haldi), then I shave to get anything I might have missed, and last I use a good moisturizing body wash.

It might be time consuming, but it's cheap and effective, and non-messy, convenient.
This is the one I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0077PLO06/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482291524&sr=8-5&keywords=epilator

u/eyeoutthere · 5 pointsr/DIY

The MANGROOMER has a long handle so you can reach all the parts.

u/keelasalie · 5 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Exfoliation is your friend. I recently started epilating, and while it has done wonders in taming my very thick, dark hairs, I have been noticing more ingrown hairs. I have been using an exfoliating body wash with an exfoliating wash cloth and it has been helping, but there are a lot of ingrowns that are getting irritated. :/

Edit: for reference, this is the epilator I got because I don't have the funds for anything more expensive right now.

u/icarusgirl · 5 pointsr/Swingers

I don't need/expect full shave or wax, but it's just a drag to go down on someone who's got a lot of pubic hair--and I LOVE going down.

I have pretty sensitive skin also, and had issues with both waxing and wet shaving--given that nicks/rashes increase your risk of acquiring an STD, that is not cool from a casual play perspective.

I have been using a trimmer (a wahl) plus this close shaver for several months and am quite happy with that combo. The close shaver is not quick--it usually takes several passes to get all the hair off--but I have zero skin irritation and my skin stays really soft. The close-shaver only works on hair that's already very short, so using the trimmer first is a must.

Personally, I find that I have greater sensitivity (in a good way) when I'm completely shaved, which is why I do it. I also think it's considerate of anyone who might go down on me. :)

EDIT: Just adding this--I personally don't consider it a positive thing that pubic hair traps moisture--unfortunately, for many people, that also means that it causes odor. It would be nice if everyone were super-conscientious about hygiene, but not everyone with pubic hair is going to go wash right before getting down (I wish they would). My body chemistry is pretty sensitive & I avoid anything that increases moisture (e.g., synthetic panties, pubic hair, etc.) because I've found that helps me avoid yeast infections. But I get & stay wet very easily, so maybe I have the opposite problem your wife has.

u/manmeatsgoat · 4 pointsr/BurningMan

Here are mine:

InnoTech Battery Operated String Lights - Absolute shit. Lid doesn't stay capped. Twist the strand even slightly near the battery pack and the whole string will fail. Absolutely worthless.

Coleman 14x10 Foot 8 Person Tent - The tent is straightforward enough to setup but the click locks broke throughout the week and we had to actually break the poles in half just to get it to come down. The center collumn also snapped at one point and this is with minimal in and out whith one side completely blocked from wind by a bus. NOT recommended.

u/cutol · 4 pointsr/disability

Instead of trimming, you could try a single hair epilatorepilator. That would remove the hairs for longer periods, allowing much less maintenance. Or waxing, even. Both better than trimming, as they'll put weeks or even months between maintenance. You could probably have the waxing done at any hair salon.

u/cornflowered · 4 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

it like plucks your hairs out really fast leading to a long lasting smoothness example

u/Aryada · 4 pointsr/AskReddit

http://www.amazon.com/Braun-3170-Silk-Epil-Epilator/dp/B004QI2794/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1324263305&sr=8-8

I ONLY use it on my legs. You'd have to be crazy to try anywhere else. It doesn't hurt me at ALL...in fact I kind of enjoy it. And it lasts way longer than shaving. It's fun. I do it while I watch TV and my husband just shakes his head at me.

u/hi-im-sophie · 3 pointsr/MtF

I have a fairly expensive epilator and I found the exact same thing... It's slow and doesn't even make my legs smooth.

u/seizy · 3 pointsr/AskWomen

I trim with an electric trimmer, like this one (http://www.amazon.com/Remington-WPG4020A-Body-Bikini-Grooming/dp/B00BB5YI0Q/ref=sr_1_7?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1427510122&sr=1-7&keywords=trimmer+for+women)

I don't like to shave because I feel like it's a lot of maintenance, but keeping tidy without it letting it get overgrown is easy with a trimmer. It also usually has a blade-guard, so it doesn't nick or get super short/uneven.

u/OmniOmnibus · 3 pointsr/Advice

i used to wax my legs at home. Now I have this little epilater machine. Kind of like this one

It takes a little practice. You have to pull your skin fairly tight or it will hurt a bit. It was well worth it for me. It does thin your leg hair out after a while, but it takes a year or so.

u/a-mom-ymous · 3 pointsr/AskWomen

I use this one: Braun Silk-épil 9 9-521 Women's Epilator, Electric Hair Removal, Cordless, Wet & Dry, White/Pink https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TI5ZN14/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_B8esDb4Z530ZQ

u/MedicinalHammer · 3 pointsr/Coachella

Are these kind of what you're referring to? If not can you link me?

u/[deleted] · 3 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

This is the one I have. Got it in 2005, and it's still going strong.

Not gonna lie, the first couple times it is NOT comfortable. But the hair very quickly starts growing back finer and more sporadically, and then it doesn't hurt at all. Now a days, I can do it about once a week or less and stay perfectly smooth.

Edit: I think the little attachment thinggy helps with the discomfort at first. I haven't used it in years, don't even know where it is. I usually put a towel down on the couch to catch the stray hairs that go flying and get both legs done while watching 15 minutes of TV.

u/nedonedonedo · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

judging form the length of the hair in my face of the one I pulled and the speed my hair grows, I'll probably get almost a month before I have to do it again. if I use something like this I think it would come out to the same time overall. I know it will take more time each time I remove hair, but I think it's safe since no one said it wasn't

u/tsukiii · 2 pointsr/askwomenadvice

Don't do it!

I recommend the little Japanese razors made for facial hair. You can get them at basically any Asian market or online. I've even seen similar products at American drugstores and Sephora.

u/minax128 · 2 pointsr/PCOS

IF your wife can withstand the pain/discomfort, I'd highly recommend investing in an epilator, e.g. Remington's Wet/Dry Face and Body epilator. It'll hurt the first time, nothing atrocious but rather quite uncomfortable, especially in certain areas (e.g. back of legs). After a while, it's just mildly uncomfortable and a lot of people, including me, have found that the hair grows back thinner and is less noticeable. The facial epilator is especially useful for areas like sideburns, neck/chin, but the hair has to be of a certain length for it to work (> 5mm or so).

u/P4li_ndr0m3 · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I honestly use [this one](Remington Smooth & Silky Deluxe Rechargeable Epilator, Purple, EP7030E https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BKMIMAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_pSPMDb0DYS63S) and am very careful haha.

u/black_rose_ · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

It was this one, with a maybe 2" width (according to another user who just answered my question):

https://www.amazon.com/Braun-3170-Silk-Epil-Epilator/dp/B004QI2794/ref=dp_ob_title_hpc

The new one I got was this with a 0.5" width:

https://www.amazon.com/Emjoi-eRase-e60-Tweezer-Epilator/dp/B00LXIQDPO/ref=sr_1_8_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1506303674&sr=1-8&keywords=emjoi+epilator

Kinda drives me nuts they don't list the width!

u/pierrotte · 2 pointsr/actuallesbians

Just so you have this information:

I have always had ingrown hair issues with shaving, and I used to get waxed by someone who was amazing. When it grew back it was softer and not all itchy and painful like when you shave. BUT that was when I was in college. After I graduated I moved cross country. I could never find someone as good and as inexpensive as her again and then it was HIGHLY unpleasant, nobody would listen to me when I said I wanted to keep most of the hair on the front where I thought it should grow and just get rid of the "extra" stuff around the edges, and I stopped doing it.

Now I just trim things and think it's fine. I bought one of those electric trimmer things from Target in the razor aisle, ~$25. Not the mini one -- the bigger one that's advertised for armpits. This one.

u/tygertyger · 2 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

Maybe an epilator? I have this one and I've heard of people using it for sideburns (I never have so I can't really say). I use it on my legs and it really doesn't hurt much.

You would definitely have to trim before epilating though. On my legs, I do a crappy job shaving and wait 48 hrs. Seems to get the hairs the right length, and then I just do touch ups once every 1-2 weeks as necessary.

My friend runs her own boutique salon and offers body waxing services to both her female and male clientele.

Certain customers have very sensitive skin on the delicate parts of their body.

For those customers, my friend routinely uses the Seiko S-Yard ES412 Cleancut Personal Shaver.

This Japanese import shaver does the best job in getting as close as possible, but its blades and screen are engineered so well that the shaver can easily be used on the most sensitive parts of either female or male body without any danger of nicks or cuts on the skin.

She uses this shaver in tandem with Sween Body Powder, an ultra-fine grained cornstarch-based body powder, which allows the shaver to literally glide over the skin.

For men who come for the first time with a great deal of body hair, she'll first use a standard set of professional-grade electric hair clippers, like the Oster 76 Classic with its matching 00000 blade which cuts existing hair down to a 0.02 mm size, at which point the Seiko S-Yard can easily trim the remaining hair down to 0.0025 mm or less.

As others have mentioned here, you can get a decent shave with other personal area shavers like the Norelco Bodygroom Pro or the Schick Quattro Trimstyle, but if you want a consistently close yet safe shave of the genital region, the Seiko S-Yard is your best option short of using a razor.

u/Oops_I_Cracked · 2 pointsr/asktransgender

I bought a $35 Remington Epilator on Amazon that is being delivered today.

Remington Smooth & Silky Deluxe Rechargeable Epilator, Purple, EP7030E https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BKMIMAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1QTuDbZZAYEWY

It’s only got 3.5 stars on Amazon, but on sites that specifically review beauty/hair removal products, it was universally highly recommended.

u/jsphjunk · 2 pointsr/sexover30

I use an epilator. Works great! New hair comes in soft as if you'd gotten a waxing; no itchy stubble.
Tips: Trim hair down to a half inch or quarter inch first. For using on scrotum: hover it just over the surface (about 1/16") to avoid it accidentally snagging.

u/micultra8 · 2 pointsr/AskWomen

Something like this has totally changed my hair removal routine. Takes a bit getting used to, but I have far less hair than I used to, from killing the follicles. I also used to wax my legs myself, but it's messier than I'd like.

u/MerryKerry · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

These rollers exist, though I personally found it a bit irritating/painful to use. If you find any other kind of oil that you aren't allergic to, you could remove excess wax with that, and just wash it off afterward. Epilators are also pretty easy to use, and the small ones aren't too expensive.

u/FinnPixie · 2 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

I've got this and it's been pretty reliable (had it for 3 years now, and had another Braun one for 7yrs before that).

u/AbruptlyJaded · 2 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

The Seiko CleanCut is awesome for once you get things trimmed down very short. Basically, after you shave down, you can use the Seiko daily or whatever to keep the stubble at bay. Because no blades touch your skin, you don't have to worry about irritation, and the Seiko actually does a closer job than most facial/leg trimmers.

You can also pick it up at beavershaver.com or seikocleancut.com. Both sites are run by the same company, and the Seikos are the same. Just one is more fun to type or talk about than the other.

Me personally, I'm lazy now, and I stick to a Remington Smooth and Silky to trim things short all over, and clean up a bit on the sides.

Edit to add - I used the Seiko for about 2 years straight and loved it, so if smooth is your thing, it's definitely something to consider, and well worth the price. The first time I went totally bare was with a Seiko, it safely gets into all the tight places where I was scared to put a razor!

u/rileybee · 2 pointsr/asktransgender

I have this one and it works fine but I'm sure other, similar models do too.

u/oliphantine · 2 pointsr/ladyshavers

Mine looks just like this one but it's a way older version obviously. Braun Silk-Epil 7521 Wet and Dry Epilator (Pink).

When mine dies i will buy this one: Braun SE 7561 Silk-Epil Wet and Dry Epilator (Silver) cause it has all the fancy attachments heads that I'd love to try and says it's only a few dollars more.

My current one is also a wet & dry version. I don't think I've ever actually tried it in the shower, but that might help with the pain if you need it and have that option. Not sure though.

Also some things I've remembered.

  • Most important thing ever, hold the skin taut while epilating. It'll reduce the chance of pinching and reduce the pain a bit. This is important for all waxing in general though too

  • you can also try to use a numbing cream beforehand. Example, Emla Numbing Anesthetic Cream 5% Cream 30G Tattoo. You might be able to just use a lidocaine gel as well if you find a cheaper option (I would ask your pharmacist to make sure it's safe for that purpose before using)

u/KariTether · 2 pointsr/asktransgender

If you're balding, you'll probably want some kind of DHT blocker. If not, your hair is in a constant battle with split ends and being yanked. You can help your hair get longer and look less frizzy by brushing more gently (start at the ends) and using a good hair conditioner. A really minor haircut (under 1") can get rid of the split ends that unzip your hair, and make a cleaner, more well-groomed look.

You're not going to change your facial hair growth at all without laser or electrolysis, and it may thin and lighten with estrogen. However, if you're really in to pain, you could epilate, which will at least temporarily get rid of the shadow that comes with shaved facial hair. Trying different shaving techniques might make a little difference too.

Skinny jeans work for me. They're not entirely forbidden for men, and I feel really sexy in them. You could also consider a style of dress that permits men to wear things often associated with female dress; goth, pirate, renaissance, kilts, genderqueer, middle eastern, punk and religious.

> less-than-accepting wife and a job where I can't be very flamboyant

That's really sad, and a big part of your life! Might focusing on fixing this make you considerably happier, even if it's harder?

If you did want to push further, 3 months of hormones generally amount to nothing permanent - and it tells you a lot about how your brain works. Aside from subtle feminization, changes from HRT are generally indefinitely hideable under clothing and binders (transmen do it!). While purely female clothing has never been my thing in the first place (I have always preferred the mix of options listed above), a whole lot of my internal conflict went away on the hormones alone.

My journey started with questions just like yours. I just didn't want to believe that transitioning would help enough to be worth it, but I wanted to satisfy my frustration in more subtle ways. I'm very glad I finally did start. It didn't work out with my partner and that was and still is really hard to deal with, but the new me and my new GQ partner bring me much more happiness.

But that might not be for you. Either way, best of luck achieving what makes you happiest!

Heh, I bought a Mangroomer Pro a couple years ago, which is basically an electric shaver with a maneuvering arm on it. Let's you get everywhere pretty easily.

As far as I know, that's the only thing out there that is "quick and painless" that you can do yourself. It's not too terribly expensive either. Takes about 10-15 minutes to clean up the back. I use a Norelco Bodygroom for everywhere else.

My hair is coarse, thick, and dark so one of these days I'd love to have it all just lasered off tbh.

u/2_mch_tme_on_reddit · 1 pointr/drumcorps

I bought this kit off of Amazon. I've had them only for about five months so far, coming to about just as many uses, with no problems. The smaller battery-powered groomer is loud, but I looked at it as a little bonus item; I'd have bought the kit even if it wasn't included.

u/spitefilledballohate · 1 pointr/AskWomen

I use an old school face epilator for my upper lip. Luckily that seems to be the only area I have a significant issue. It is a bit painful but not as painful as waxing in my opinion. Anything it misses I tweez quickly. I have the emjoi epislim, but there's other models out there. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0007CXQUW/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_194_of_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PF26KR8CX73GJVA978AJ laser hair removal did not work for me.

I have an inexpensive one, this Braun model (it's $41 now, price must have gone up in the past year).

I use it on my legs. It hurt a lot at first, but after about the third time, it was just a little uncomfortable, and now it's barely noticeable.

I've used a couple. One of them was a Clio - I liked the shape, it made it easier to hold. Eventually it just shortcircuited.

Now I have one by Remington that I can't find an example of, but they have this one that looks pretty close. It does a good job and since the head is smaller than the Clio, has more precision (but takes more strokes). Remington is a very reliable brand from my experience - 90% of my bathroom appliances are by them.

Both of the shavers I've had are wet/dry which I think is really important. I think it does a little bit better job dry but I'm too lazy and usually just do a bit of trimming in the shower when my conditioner is soaking in.

u/seste · 1 pointr/TwoXChromosomes

Been there

I use one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Braun-3170-Silk-Epil-Epilator/dp/B004QI2794/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334905620&sr=8-1

It's painful the first couple of times, but now I barely even feel it. I guess it depends on how badly you want to get rid of the hair.

u/cosine83 · 1 pointr/justneckbeardthings

Just a regular ol' Wahl grooming kit. I use a 2 for the 'stache and a 3 or 4 for the rest, depending on how short I want it.

u/buckybone · 1 pointr/asktransgender

I use an Emjoi AP-10R for normal use, AP-9L for detail work (stubborn chest hairs, behind the knee since I started HRT...loose skin in the big epilator fucking HURTS)...they've worked just fine for me for two years now.

Also, I'd recommend an exfoliating body wash to help prevent ingrown hairs.

u/VicugnaPacos · 1 pointr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I just did a bunch of research on this like two days ago! For my purposes, it came down pretty close between this Panasonic and this Braun. I picked the Braun and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.

I don’t have any now advice other than keeping it clean but for later advice one of these bad boys is going to be your friend for any hair on your inner bits or back door bits you’d like to clean up! It’s a “no touch” so you can’t cut yourself with it! I usually just sit on the toilet and reach down and do the trimming so everything falls in there for easy clean up. The fact that you can just do it by feel is really nice for the rear area if that is something is you want to do (do NOT feel pressured to do this area or any area, though! It’s your body, do what makes YOU comfortable!). Then be sure to shower after to clean any hair out of any crevices so you don’t get irritated.

>it seems simpler and easier to do in private at home.

That's the only real reason I choose it over waxing, simpler and cheaper in the long run. I haven't tried Nair but hear mixed things about it. I don't like the idea of using heavy chemicals on my skin all the time, though.

I use this epi. It works really well, and you can use it underwater. I use it for my arms legs and lips, and while it breaks some hairs instead of uprooting them, that can't be helped. Using it with with the included massager head and under warm water is pretty painless.

This is the one that I use. I haven't had any problems with it.

Philips SatinShave Essential Women’s Electric Shaver for Legs, Cordless Wet and Dry Use. I didn't need a million attachments to lose. It's been working well for me so far but has only been a month.

This one
It's the only one I've ever used so I can't tell you how it compares to others.

If you only need it for upper lip, I'd say get a smaller one like this, for instance. I have it and it works pretty well, but I upgraded because I needed one with a bigger head. I still use the smaller one on my upper lip.

Yeah something like this. You’ll see the little accessories include 2 different length eyebrow trimming guards. Can find at any CVS or Walmart for under $15.

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE: always buy the ones marketing to women. I bought a “unisex” one when my last one broke and found out that the guards are way shorter and almost shaved a brow off entirely. 🤣

You definitely want AHAs and retinols going on before something with a lotiony consistency, here is why! http://www.dermtv.com/what-order-apply-your-skin-care-products. From what I have heard, drugstore and prescription retinoids do the same thing - the drugstore brands just take a longer time to achieve the same effects since they are typically a much lower concentration that prescription products. I am alsooo thinking that maybe the cerave in the winter should go on TOP of your sunscreen, not under, for the same reasons discussed in the video. For hair removal, have you heard of/ever tried an epilator? They are basically electronic tweezers. I have one and though the sensation took some getting used to but I love it for taking care of upper lip hair! This is the one I use: http://www.amazon.com/Emjoi-Epi-Slim-Epilator-Operated/dp/B007MQ9DYO/ref=sr_1_11?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1418678977&sr=1-11

If you don't mind pain you can epilate. You'd want to spend at least $100 to get a good one. It rips the hairs out at the root similar to waxing, meaning you get perfect silky smooth skin for a couple weeks or so every time you use it, and it damages the follicles so you should quickly notice your hair growing back finer and lighter each time. I have an exceptional pain tolerance but I felt like throwing up the first time I used it but it quickly got easier.

Here is a solid and affordable one.

I actually use the Emjoi Epi Slim on my armpits all the time. It's too small to be effective on legs, but once you get rid of that first batch of hair it's not too bad, even if it is more sensitive than legs.

It doesn't leave any shadowing and gets easier with each use because only a few hairs in the growth phase (anagen) pop up at a time and they are much finer at first. I have very dark hair in my underarms that leaves a shadow, but epilation solved that for me. I'd let it grow past stubble a little, so the tweezers have something to grab on to, but it doesn't need much length at all.

I use this one.

u/Crummy_Photoshop · 1 pointr/interestingasfuck

Nah, they use AA batteries. LEDs are super efficient, they don't need a lot of juice to be pretty bright. You'd only need batteries on the spinning bit, really. The rest could plug into an inverter in the cab.

u/ClaireIsGreen · 1 pointr/MtF

Sorry a link probably helps better than a picture. This is the exact model I use. Found mine at a Walmart (incase you wanna go get it in person)

As a hetero male on a topic such as this, I recommend an automatic tweezer, something like this. It's fast and it works. I sound like a shitty infomercial but I don't know how else to put it.
EDIT: lol ok downvote me, I'm just trying to help.
Unless you saw through my viral marketing scheme, then okay you got me--I've been using this account for months just so I could shill for a tweezer company, yep...
