Who is paying? Not that this should dictate everything, but if it's you, the budget can go towards whatever you damn well please. You could have one of those giant unicorn inflatables covered in gold leaf instead of inviting the cousins and, if you're paying for it, everyone else can shove it.

On a more productive note, maybe enlist your FH to try to control the in-laws?

I would say its a lot easier to get separated from people than you expect and then the cell service can be spotty to find them. I'm sure you'll stick close to Dad most of the time but even if its just "I'm running to the bathroom then lets meet at xyz"...sometimes its hard to find them at that spot. I know people frown on totems but something small, skinny, and inflatable like this can go a long way to finding people.
Other than that I would say just accept that a lot of people will be drunk or on drugs. This isn't necessarily good or bad...its just a lot of exposure to these things. My advice would be to just people watch and take it all in. See who is enjoying themselves, see who is making a fool of themselves, see who is being sloppy or who is being responsible. This is not so you can judge them but because when you get older you'll be in all of those situations at some point...sometimes you'll be the one way too drunk and can't handle your shit, sometimes you'll be the one taking care of that person...either way its good to be self aware of which one you are and remember what it was like from an outsiders perspective.

I have a Watermelon Ball, and it's actually really fun to play with.

Normal ejaculate volume = 3.7 ml

An appropriate pool = 74 gallons

Gallons to liters = 280.120488 liters = 280120.488 ml

Number of loads = 75708.24

Number of years at 1/2/3 loads per per day = 207.41/103.71/69.14 years

Amount of time spent whacking it at an average of 5 minutes per load = 378541.2 minutes, or 6309.02 hours, or 262.88 days

I think you meant you're in your 90's.

I just did a big water balloon party and it was fantastic! We got about 8 boxes of an off brand version of these from Ollie's bargain outlet for $4.99. after it was over, we paid the kids for however many pieces of balloons they could pick up, and they cleaned the place up and had fun competing on who could earn the most money. They also sell a biodegradable version, but I'm not sure if I trust that.

None. Supersoaker today is a shadow of what they once were. I think there was one pressurized blaster last year, but all others are trigger-less with a HAMP, or just little wimpy water pistols.

Otherwise, the Buzzbee Colossus 2 might be a good choice. Better range than Hasbro Blasters and a big capacity.

Sadly, the best water gun is no longer made. It had a backpack capable of holding two gallons, and shot far as hell. Discontinued in 2001 sadly. I wanted one so badly.

It was the last of a generation of guns that had pressurized tanks. Guns now use a system that shoots as you pump. It is not as good.
Awesome article about all this:

The gun you want is this though:

Make sure to get the backpack reservoir so you have plenty of ammo:

Buying an airbrush is kind of like buying a guitar. If you buy a super cheap one it's difficult to get any good results out of it and it can put you off for life. So invest a little bit would be my advice.

I can personally recommend the following.

Airbrush: iwata hp-cs - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eclipse-0-35mm-Action-Gravity-Airbrush/dp/B000BQKFAI

Compressor: - https://www.amazon.co.uk/ABEST-Professional-Compressor-Multi-Purpose-Airbrushing/dp/B01I2ZUKYU/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1538751820&sr=1-1&keywords=airbrush+compressor

The Compressor comes with a cheap airbrush so if you want to try with a cheap one go ahead, but you will want to upgrade sooner or later and that Iwata HP-CS will last a life time if you look after it.

This is also a must - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RVZG4X4/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00RVZG4X4&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=8e5be0e3-b258-4b06-8b6e-695b24f935a4&pf_rd_r=4PP45CTWFKT5WD7KR20K&pd_rd_wg=pFBRH&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=j5dUp&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=d08662fa-c8af-11e8-a4e7-5f4df7c134b5

Yep. It's one of these these. It doesn't actually do anything, but it makes a whole lot of noise in the hopes that it can make you think it's doing something.

I'd like to clear up some things since there is rampant speculation about what has happened here. Fair enough, I didn't offer any explanation on the outset.

I live in a solidly upper-middle class neighborhood in the suburbs of a large metro area. Folks who live here are working professionals; engineers, lawyers, doctors, small business owners, etc. Overall great people but... some strange ones for sure.

Anyway, my son was playing out front with the next door neighbor kid and the children with the slide asked them to come over and play on their cool new water slide. My sons went over and the six-year-old came back with this.

Now I know the parents who bought the slide and I know their children and they have all played together well on the street / cul-de-sac with all the other children so I had no problem sending my six-year-old over with his older brother to scope it out and have the parents call me or bring me their number so I'd have it. I got a permission slip instead. As did all the other parents who said "sure, my kid can go to your yard to play."

I agree with those that say the slide owners probably mean well, and they are covering their own ass etc. etc. but the reason I posted this to WTF is because of the nature 'friendly' permission slip.

What has playtime come to?

Kids weren't lining up to play on this slide; it was new and no one knew (or cared) about it. Their children canvased the street for kids to bring them over to play on it. Slides are cool for kids so I was fine with mine playing on it and they were excited to try something novel for the afternoon. I was grateful my kids had the opportunity.

Cool. Except the letter the parents sent back home to all of their neighbors. Basically backhandedly telling us, their neighbors, our kids are by-and-large little jerks who don't know how to behave themselves and will eat them out of house and home if given the opportunity. And since we probably didn't raise them right and they are uncultured heathens, here is how we expect all of them to behave.

If they feel that way, just don't invite anyone over! Why send a letter out to everyone letting them know you feel that way??

I know all the kids around my house. With the exception of one or two, all of them are great kids. I host them at my house a lot. The others just need more supervision. I know all of the parents around my house. All of them would back up any other if their kid was misbehaving and needed to be disciplined. All of us know it takes a village. It's a great corner of our neighborhood.

I actually would be okay with a simple slip letting me know about the slide and its hazards asking for a contact number if they needed to call. I understand its unfortunate necessity. But I also understand its just window dressing and wouldn't stop a lawsuit if someone's insurance felt the need to sue.

https://www.amazon.com/Water-Sports-Balloon-Refill-500-Pack/dp/B00CEQLJ8U/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1486728727&sr=8-14&keywords=biodegradable+balloons

Here's some that I found. They aren't the specific ones I used, but I imagine they're all pretty similar. Be warned though, they aren't very great as balloons. They pop and rip super easily so you can't overfill them, but they do always explode on whatever you through them at.

So it's a trade-off between quality/durability and effort of picking up the husks.

They really do take about a full week to break down on grass, more if it is dry, and less if it rains or if you run them over with a lawn mower.

This thread reminded me of this training kit I heard about last winter shortly after getting Sara and Maybelle. Just put it on order so I'll probably get it on Monday or Tuesday. The training stick idea really appeals to me. Seem to recall some discussion of incorporating a training clicker like you'd use for horses or dogs.

Also saw an aquaponic forum post or a youtube about a swimming pool toy. I thought they were called pool bats but when I google that all the returns seem to be about little-winged mammals. Anyway, these things are brightly colored tubes, two or three feet long and two or three inches in diameter. This guy sliced some up salami style and was using them as little rafts to individually float net cups with plants on the surface of an aquarium. Ever since I saw that I've been thinking of weighing down those slices and using them as hoops at different depths for fish to investigate and swim through. Edit: Here they are.

Another half-baked idea I've had since getting the girls is using clear plastic PVC pipe in various ways to entertain the three of us. It could just start with just a little food in the middle of a six or eight-inch length of pipe but in my twisted mind, it evolves into 3D mazes with Ys and T's and such. Imagine a 3D rat maze.

And expanding on that thought. Sometimes aquaponics guys use a U-siphon to connect two tanks and maintain the same water level between them. If a bright and brave fantail goldfish was used to swimming through pipes as discussed above, wouldn't she use that U-siphon like a walking swimming bridge betwixt the tanks?

Hope this thread has legs. I'll report on the training kit when I get it.

Love the chest as they're great for handy stuff storage. A fancy fabric draught excluder put along the top of the black couch will hide the steel and make a nice cheap head rest. Or Pipe insulation slit to cover the steel Or a colourful pool noodle to rest your weary head on. Or maybe not!😆

You will need at least one hose, if you can get one with a quick release mechanism I would recommend that. I'm not sure if you'll need adaptors honestly. I'm not really versed on different airbrush company standards. Are you going to a shop to get it or getting it online? Because you could either ask someone at the shop for specifics, or check the online store for recommended accessories.

I bought almost this exact package, and it came with almost all the hardware I needed: https://www.everythingairbrush.com/airbrushing-kits-brand/value-kit-range/harder-steenbeck-kits/ab-as-186-airbrushing-kit-with-evolution-silverline-fpc-2-in-1-airbrush.html

The only other hardware I got was this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spraytidy-Professional-Airbrush-Cleaning-Accessories/dp/B00RVZG4X4/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Spraytidy+Professional+3+in+1+Airbrush+Cleaning+Station&qid=1571389692&sr=8-2

I haven't needed to buy any more accessories for my set up other than these, both the links show what comes in the packages individually.

I hope that's of some help.
