I think it's because the MSRP for watches don't really mean anything.
It's cool that you got it for a good price. I found it on clearance (but out of stock for $55 here: https://www.fossil.com/us/en/products/annette-three-hand-pastel-pink-leather-watch-sku-es4356p.html

And found it in stock for $66 here: https://www.amazon.com/Fossil-Womens-Annette-Stainless-Leather/dp/B077T77GPT/ref=sr_1_39?keywords=fossil+women+watch&qid=1559084050&s=gateway&sr=8-39

But I don't think it's a steal either. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's a great deal you know?

As someone who frequents r/watches, I think this looks better and you can get this for <$30 any time:
https://www.amazon.com/Timex-Womens-TW2P91900-Fairfield-Slip-Thru/dp/B0194MLAK8/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=timex+fairfield+women&qid=1559084329&s=gateway&sr=8-10
They're inexpensive as well. Amazing watch! It resembles the Seiko G757 worn by 007 in "Octopussy".. So some folks relate it to that (although the Casio looks better IMO).
Cheap ugly ones are easy, check this out (the reviews too).
This Casio watch in gold. Three of my friends noticed that they had the same watch and it spread like wildfire throughout the rest of my group. Now we all have some type of Casio watch.
Friendship aside lol, I really like how slim and simple the watch is. I also have a rose gold Michael Kors watch, but I reach for my Casio watch all. the. time. Plus it's so cheap that I don't feel bad when I bang it around, like I tend to do with everything I own lol.
Let me see what I can pull up for good quality watches with a minimal style.
Here's an Orient Bambino V3, you can find it in different color faces.
Here's a Timex Weekender Farfield, there are also different faces for this.
Or you could just cop a Seiko Spirit "Blue Spark" SCVS013.
Maybe this
For the gravelord with finer tastes
Aliexpress / Amazon.ca / Edit: Ebay
There's a 37mm version which is for women but basically looks the same: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0194MLAK8/ref=pd_aw_sim_241_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YS64H17K0A80EMGVVME0&dpPl=1&dpID=81VLn%2BrKB%2BL&th=1
Hey, perfect, I have $85,000 just sitting around!
What about a Timex Fairfield?
Pants
Shoes
Shirts
Layers
Misc
Which comes out to about $597. I'm only 18 and while I own 2 suits, I've never actually needed them, so that works out nicely.
And then I buy one of these, and steal the rest of my clothes, because this still isn't enough.
I love the idea of having a signature timepiece! Most days I wear a super retro-looking gold Casio digital watch. I do prefer analog watches, but I like that it's light, has an alarm, and can tell me the date (and was super cheap, lol). If I'm feeling like looking a bit smarter I throw on my Daniel Wellington Classic Bristol in rose gold/dark brown leather. I love the men's watch trend but I'm very petite with tiny wrists so I can't quite tell if I look cool or just silly wearing it, but I love it all the same!

When you take a pulse and use the second hand , the screen will shut off if you aren't moving your arm around (cuz you're too busy intensely counting the beats!). So you gotta shake your arm every so often to wake the watch up when you're doing vitals. Maybe there is a way to delay the sleep function and I haven't found it yet.
It also doesn't have a dedicated 24-hr /military time watch face, unless you set your actual phone to 24 hrs as well-- which might not be a bad idea to start hammering it in.
Otherwise, I'm really happy w it. It was helpful when my clinical instructor messaged me on the floor. It also kept me off my phone so I didn't instinctually pull it out at the hosptial. You can also use it to set reminders.
A regular watch off Amazon w a 24 hr function will work just fine =) the Casio I linked below served me well!
Casio Women's LRW200H-7BVCF Dive Series Sport Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00791QYMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MwtlDbDHF7F0N
This gold Casio digital watch! I saw another user post it in FFA last year and bought it immediately. I like that it’s fairly cheap and digital without looking like a sports watch. amazon link
Timex Fairfield is $48.75 which is its lowest price according to CamelCamelCamel
Outside of the Junkers and Skagen the only thing I can think of in your range are:

You have lots of options for similar watches. For example:
Timex Fairfield

If you can stretch your budget like $30-$40 more, you can get one of these:
Tissot Everytime
Tissot Everytime
Tissot Everytime
Those are just a few examples. There are definitely more out there that I'm missing.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Timex-Unisex-Watch-T2N654PF-Cream/dp/B0056DC8LU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1319849002&sr=8-5
i'm not a big jewelry person, but i have a couple of pieces that i wear pretty regularly. one is [this necklace] (http://needsupply.com/blah-blah-blah.html) from Need Supply. i also wear my [casio classic gold watch] (https://www.amazon.com/Casio-Womens-LA670WGA-1DF-Digital-Gold-tone/dp/B003BJFQW4/ref=sr_1_4?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1469833917&sr=1-4&nodeID=7147440011&keywords=women%27s+casio+classic) every day, and although it isn't really super "scandinavian minimalist" in design, i feel like it integrates really well into my fairly minimal wardrobe and ties in well with other gold jewelry.
I'm a 5'2 person with short hair and never wear make-up. I second the person who says having a good haircut makes all the difference.
A second thing you can do is focus on the details of whatever you're wearing. If you wear a watch, you can look older if it's nicer looking rather than a sports watch (I have this one). If you normally wear sneakers, you can swap them out for shoes that are sneaker-like, but nicer. (These are mine.) And if you always wear a ratty jacket (me) you can elevate that with ... something. Maybe a blazer? I'm still working on that one. Point is to focus on the details.
If anyone is looking for a watch, might I suggest this affordably priced beauty. Not sure why people who like that also like realistic mannequins of eight year old girls though.
They’re unisex, but there is a smaller Fairfield and Orient makes some nice Women’s watches . Women with bigger watches is kinda trendy right now.
Amazon.co.uk has it for £37.95 ~ €48 and shipping to Sweden typically comes to an additional €7.
What do you mean by doesn't tick? Are you talking about you want it to have a sweeping second hand like on a mechanical watch? If so you're not going to find a lot of options under $50. The SNK809 is a fantastic choice and it is close to your budget. You can add a leather band to it to get closer to what you want. Those two together make for a pretty good looking combo.
You can find some very cheap mechanical watches on Amazon that more of a "so cheap why the hell not" purchase if you have a few watches already. If you want something that is going to last a bit longer I would go with the Seiko personally.
Maybe this? They have it listed as a woman's watch, but 37mm is large enough that I would consider it more unisex. I'm a man with a 7 inch wrists, and I've worn as small as 34mm.
At that price just get a timex weekender. That will be your simplest approach. There are some various timex models that range from ~$20-$50. When you want to mix it up more later, you can simply switch out the strap.
This is assuming you don't yet have any particularly strong opinions on watch designs yet. Look around and find something you like! Then you can search for a budget version.
I personally wear this Sinobi watch for really cheap. The strap is crap on this though, so I invested in a nice leather strap from Lakehouse Leathers, another redditor who makes straps and stuff by hand out of American leather. The watch and strap together probably only cost me ~$30 at the time.
A warning about buying that watch - it's shipped internationally (for free) so while it's cheap and looks okay, it took over a month to get to me.
I also have 6.5" wrists and here is a 40mm watch on my wrist: https://i.imgur.com/hpT1RcU.jpg
40mm is as large as I'm willing to go. I'd be concerned that 43mm is too large for you.
Note, the design of that watch isn't that unique--you can find several like it or better, including the Timex Weekender: https://www.amazon.com/Timex-Weekender-Fairfield-Quartz-Leather/dp/B0194L66F8/
And the Orient Bambino: http://orientwatchusa.com/collections/mens-watches/classic/er2400mw
EDIT: I see that /u/jaetran found an even closer Orient watch for you. I would also agree with that recommendation.
The Motorola design team probably referenced a few watches like these. Also check out the Braun BN0021. http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Analog-Watch-Black-Leather/dp/B004XWE9EO
You should probably just buy your girlfriend what she asked for.
That being said, there are many options for similar style watches of much higher quality and of varying cost.
In that price range, I would suggest:
The Timex Fairfield
The Tissot Everytime
or (if you're willing to shell out more for real bauhaus instead of bauhaus inspired) The Junghans Max Bill
The Tissot is probably the best value proposition as it is Swiss Made with a high quality ETA (quartz) movement and and a sapphire crystal while the Timex comes with cool options like Indiglo Dial, and the Junghans has the most horological history behind it.
I'm trying to decide on a Timex Weekender to be paired mainly with casual/denim clothing. The more versatile, the better. It appears the main things to decide on are 1. case size (40mm or 38mm), 2. face style (chronograph or standard), 3. face color, and 4. strap color. Below are a few of the options I've been looking at; I'm open to other ideas also.
40mm
38mm
This is typically popular casio. I have this but it’s larger, have no regrets about buying it and wear it almost daily.
I would pick up a swatch for the everyday/match most things piece to balance out what you have. Or save some coin and pick up a Seiko 5 — have fun with that gift card!
Yep. Start with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Timex-TW2P91200-Fairfield-Leather-Slip-Thru/dp/B0194L66F8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479411773&sr=8-1&keywords=timex+fairfield+rose
Then remove the movement/dial, take the hands off, and carefully pull the dial off. Spray matt white, but very thin coats so you see the raised indices, but the whole thing is white (and the logo is gone). Then stick on the transparency in the middle.
G-Shock GA-1000
Digital readout and an analog second hand.
Nope, it's this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019ICH1R0/ref=cts_wa_2_vtp?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2897711242&pf_rd_r=a08b2686-444b-11e8-b5a2-5380d87f9cd2&pd_rd_wg=2gnHr&pf_rd_s=mobile-detail-softlines&pf_rd_t=40701&pi=SL110&pd_rd_i=B019ICH1R0&pd_rd_w=lHqMb&pf_rd_i=mobile-detail-softlines&pd_rd_r=a08b2686-444b-11e8-b5a2-5380d87f9cd2
Honestly, you have a lot of possibilities.
If the 5600s are too small for you (that would be my choice), you can go with these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0084EF9BO/ref=pd_aw_sims_1?pi=SL500_SR86%2C115&refRID=1MQ54A8QEEYDJFMD614W
Really nice and legible.

All black.

This or any other of the 6900 line.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BU6TXEC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1414039600&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40
Personally, I would go with this. It has a vibrating alarm. Nice size and solid. (Also available in black and other colors.)
Any of these should be a good for your needs.
Is 22-26mm a hard limit? I've got tiny wrists (...13cm, alas) myself, but I find anything up to 39mm doable as long as the lugs aren't too long. The Timex Women's Weekender is a rather pretty, minimalist watch, and only 36 quid... 37mm case though. I suppose it really depends on her preferences.
The Hamilton Intra Matic is probably the obvious choice, but if that's out of your price range all I can think of is something cheap like this.

swatch twice again
Someone mentioned using bags or backpacks that have lots of pockets to keep things in. I've bought a particular kind of purse with lots of sections from lesportsac, in several different colors. When I switch bags for a new season, I move things into the exact same spot. No decision-making or struggling to make things fit in a new bag.
I wear a Casio watch with a simple timer. You press a button once for 1 minute, twice for 3 minutes, etc. up to 30 minutes. I had a jewelry store switch out the bracelet part to a stretchy one so I don't have to deal with the clasp. The watch also comes in black with a rubbery band.
I have a clock radio on the other side of the room from my computer. When I'm going to be on the computer in the evening, I set the radio to go off. I have to get up off my chair to turn it off, so I'm more likely to stop what I'm doing, turn off the computer and go to bed.
Getting gas in my car the same day every week, whether I'm low on gas or not. Keeps me from running out.
Hard to tell the exact model but these are similar:

https://www.amazon.com/Orient-21-Jewel-Automatic-Aviator-ER2A001B/dp/B00AI1ON7C
I'm 16 now, and I hope to continue collecting in the future. I've listed my watches in the order I got them, and why I got them (if there's a reason). I'll also include an Amazon link if you'd like to check it out, and the photos were taken in front of my windows, which I haven't cleaned in a while, so ignore that \^-\^
Sekonda 'Party Time' (3363.27)
I got this 5 years ago (when I was 11) in Heathrow because I thought it looked nice. My tastes have changed a lot. The battery died, but I thought I might as well show it in the collection!
Amazon
Apple Watch Sport 42mm Space Grey
This subreddit doesn't seem to like smart watches much, and I get it. The battery dies within a day, and I hardly use it nowadays. I got this for my birthday, sometime in April this year, and it got me used to having a watch on my wrist at all times. It's on a cheap metal bracelet, which I wouldn't recommend getting.
Amazon (Bracelet)
Citizen BF0580-57L (non Eco-Drive)
My first real watch! I got this from the US site, because I won an American gift card in a contest some time ago. I needed a watch for exams, since I started my GCSEs and they banned smart watches (for good reason). I don't wear it as often as I used to, but it was with me throughout most of my exams so I love it nonetheless.
Amazon
Citizen BM6010-55E
I got this after starting my first 'job', which was tutoring maths for primary school kids. Nothing really more to say about it, but it's a nice casual watch which I still wear pretty often if I'm just going out for groceries or to run errands.
Amazon
Bulova 96B104
Honestly, I just needed a dress watch that I could wear with a suit (for prom in this case) during formal occasions. The strap it came with was horrible and tacky, so I replaced it with a Hirsch Osiris which feels amazing and looks great.
Amazon (Watch)
Amazon (Strap)
Timex Weekender
I had some extra money on my Amazon account, so I decided to buy a watch I could wear during the summer (since I was going abroad and it would be really humid), and I saw great feedback on the Weekender so I bought it and an extra NATO strap.
Amazon
Seiko Presage SSA083J1
The one watch I keep wearing; I absolutely love it. I got it after getting my GCSE grades (5 As, 8 A*s and an A\^), and I wear it with me everywhere. It's a bit inaccurate, so I'd like to get it adjusted soon (does anyone know a good place in South London?), but I expected that with an automatic.
Amazon
I'm taking a break from buying more watches for now, but I'd like to buy a Diver or Field watch some time in the future
Thanks for reading!

To be honest, it's pretty unremarkable. Not worth the $175. On the other hand - if what you wanted was overwhelming blandness, then this is a great watch.
Skagen aren't known for their quality. Their watches are alright, but over-priced.
If you don't need a date window, then try the Timex Weekender Fairfield - a forum favourite. Get a leather band and a couple of nato straps and you're set.
Skagens are also not Danish-made, despite their Scandinavian pretensions. They are an American company masquerading as a Denmark boutique, whose products are made cheaply in China.

Over 10K? Fancy!
edit: phrase
A nice fancy Rolex
A VERY overpriced car antenna
A book that is way under 10k. :)
Over 10K? Fancy!
Thanks a bunch for your response!
I do use the timer on my watch quite a bit at work, but I need to replace it soon and I'm not opposed to switching to something a little more feminine. Maybe something like this, this, or even just this? (My wedding band is silver, which I assume matters for metallic-colored watches.)
I do sometimes wear zip-up hoodies in lab, but I know I can't be mad when those make me look like a kid. :) I have a few cardigans that I really like, so I'll see about adding some more to my wardrobe. And I can make an effort to wear blouses more often. Sometimes I worry about wearing clothes I like to work because of how often I'm over at the mouse facilities, but that's not really an excuse, since I'm already in the habit of changing pants before heading over anyway.
Thanks so much for the shoe suggestions. Those are all lovely and along the lines of what I was picturing, but I didn't know the names (again, I suck at shoes) so I was having trouble even googling them to confirm the look.

The often recommended Timex Weekender and Seiko 5 are good options.
I've given Casio watches of the same size to a couple of my female friends as gifts, both of them have very small wrists. The size works for them, they're happy. You should be ok.
Casio also has digital watches specifically for women if you want something smaller though.

My grandpa always said every man needs a nice wristwatch. Nixon has really stylish watches that are affordable. I have this one in a different color and I love it. Heck you could even get a Timex with a simple face and leather strap.
Happy (almost) Birthday!!
Going off of this, if you really wanted a watch in the spirit of Daniel Wellington — that is to say, not necessarily an engineering marvel or an established brand but attractive looking — you could get a Sinobi for like $10 or some other cheap brand. Extremely similar aesthetic, similar if not the same precision quartz movement, save a large amount of money.
I do agree with you though, I think it's best to save up for a dress watch that everyone can appreciate. Seiko Cocktail Time continues to be a good choice.
I got this one for $14 around April last year, it's really nice. Although the plastic face get's scuffed easily, so I recommend getting something to protect it, if you want to.
This would be a good versatile watch that is very affordable: Timex Unisex TW2R63200 Weekender Chrono Brown Double-Layered Leather Slip-Thru Strap Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072L3ZW39/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IN.BCb05EJBW8
It’s blue, a chronograph, quartz movement means it won’t need much maintenance beyond a battery every few years, and has a leather strap that makes it a bit more dressy.
https://www.amazon.com/G-Shock-GD350-8-Resin-Sport-Watch/dp/B00BU6TXEC and any JLC that you fancy. If you thin out one you already have throw in a seiko turtle.
I'm looking to buy a nice ($200-$800) watch to use as an engagement gift/proposal. He expressed interest in the size, shape, and coloring of this timex weekender but I want something a little nicer. Aesthetically the Shinola Runwell Chrono is perfect. But, I've heard people tend to dislike Shinola because of its a high costs for a quartz based watch. I don't know much about this topic and was wondering what reddit thinks. Should I get the Shinola? Do you have suggestions that have a similar look?
Some more info about his style: This would be his first decent watch. He's a med student and usually wears business casual in and out of work. Thanks!
>This one... is not in the same style of their unisex version which is here
The gold one was linked, but they have a steel "ladies" which is the same as the one you linked. Just smaller (and with a different strap).
> Add that to the list behind learning how to act like a decent person.
lol. You're the one who would be mentally bothered if you wore a ladies watch. The horror!
A long long time ago on a thread like this, somebody recommended this cheap Casio watch and I swear I haven't taken it off in probably 6 months, I love it!
https://www.amazon.com/Timex-TW2P91200-Fairfield-Leather-Slip-Thru/dp/B0194L66F8
A water-resistant watch. I got this one for nursing school and still using it after graduating. https://www.amazon.com/Casio-Womens-LRW200H-7BVCF-Sport-Watch/dp/B00791QYMQ/ref=sr_1_2?qid=1573177845&refinements=p_89%3ACasio&s=apparel&sr=1-2
As for shoes, I always get Sketchers sneakers. Doesn't have to be expensive to be comfortable. I had a pair of expensive Dansko shoes but I started getting foot problems from it.
Some clinical professors may want you to bring a pocket med book instead of looking up meds on your phone.
A multicolor pens are useful too for clinical if you're into color coding your notes. So many nurses use these exact pens. https://www.amazon.com/BIC-4-Color-Ballpoint-Assorted-3-Count/dp/B002JFR8Q8/ref=sr_1_1?crid=32R3Y4SAB7T5N&keywords=4+color+bic+pen&qid=1573178363&s=office-products&sprefix=4+color+bic+%2Cfashion%2C176&sr=1-1

It's also available in a bunch of other color combinations.
If the school doesn’t provide a stethoscope then a littmann is the way to go. Get the classic 3 version on amazon, so you can save money and you will be able to hear everything. I also recommend a good little notebook, so you can write notes while in clinical.
Pens, lots of pens.
A cheap watch with a second hand, I got one on amazon from Casio. It’s water resistant and has the date on it too. Link: Casio Women's LRW200H-7BVCF Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00791QYMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-rY1Db4DF8QDB
Good luck!
Here are some options.
Hi! if you're going to get a fashion watch, which is made of a chinese quartz mechanism and fake gold, you might as well look up Timex Fairfield watches, they have their own quartz movement ( Similar to a DW) probably a similar case and everything and very minimalistic + you have a second hand. With every watch if you so desire you can change the band fairly easily as long as you know the right size and the fairfield comes with great indiglo illumination. IMHO, for the price, you're far better off with the timex even though the timex brand isn't as trendy as Daniel Wellington these days.
Just linking you to amazon but be sure to look up timex website because they have PLENTY of other colors. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0194L66F8/ref=twister_B01LWOGQM5?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
and, https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/5dcer3/timexfairfield_minimalism_is_the_game/ this is a great example of how nice a well sorted fairfield can look like and imho will look as good as a DW and will last easily as long and cost less.
;)
And for the gold vs silver, it's all up to you really, I'm personally not a gold type of person but I feel lime I'm starting to like it more a little everyday but I'm definitely a silver kind of man.

If you are in the market for a $400+ G-Shock you will want to buy from someone who has a good reputation on WatchUSeek.com, and TimeZone.com to make an informed decision.
If you don't need a Japanese G-Shock, Amazon has plenty of options that are probably well suited for the everyday persons needs.
[found it] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WG8U8M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I meant could the alarm be set to go off once an hour without being manually set every single time to remind a person to do something they're supposed to do once an hour- like stretches or exercises for example.
I didn't know there was such a thing as hourly signals on a watch so that seems to be what I'm looking for. I decided on this watch because it seem to have everything I need and more:

I wouldn't. Buy something like this for school: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00791QYMQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fwiw this is a great watch: White Big Dial Mens Lady Women Unisex Leather Quartz Sport Wrist Watch Gift SNB011 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009WG8U8M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_TU6Jxb5EB9A3N
It's inexpensive. Just rip off the crappy straps it comes with and buy some nice NATO straps. Whole setup costs under $30 (straps are more expensive than the watch, lol) and I've received countless complements—even from some friends with watches that cost half my paycheck.
I have this one https://www.amazon.com/Timex-TW2R63200-Weekender-Double-Layered-Slip-Thru/dp/B072L3ZW39/ and its very versatile. Wear it pretty much every day (except suit days, for those I break out my cream faced, thinner watch). It's not restrictive at all.
Recommend immediately tossing the leather strap that comes with it. Feels like a bandaid. Replace with some basic NATO straps (white/blue, blue/red, white/blue/red, black/grey, olive, etc).
Diesel and Michael Kors are both fashion watch brands. I'm not familiar with Movado, but I'm willing to guess it's a fashion brand, too. The thing with these types of watches is that they are more about looks than anything else. Not that there's wrong with that—to each his own—but /r/Watches is admittedly biased towards automatic movements.
That said, with your kind of budget you could start off with a very nice basic Seiko diver. If you're after something that looks more like the watches you linked to, what about an Orient Pilot?
Seiko SUP198 and change the band.
Seiko SUP196 on ebay.
Depending on her a Casio LGA670WGA or a Casio LTP1169N might also make a good small Christmas present.
I can't decide between this one or the green and black one
Also, this version...
Yes it is!
These are slightly out of your price range, but worth it in looks and technology. AWGM-100-1AC or AWGM-100b-1AC. There is also the AW590-1A.
These are all smaller G-Shock watches, but they wear very comfortably.
Personally, I like the bigger models because of their rugged masculine looks on my wrist (I have a 7.5" wrist). If you have a large wrist, you might also consider saving up for a GA-1000.
Vostok Komandirski looks pretty similar, here's a link to a review that tells you where these can be bought. http://www.webwatchworld.com/vostok-komandirskie/
These bad boys go for under $50. They were made by the freaking USSR for its soldiers, and they're still being made today. If that doesn't make you happy, I don't think we can be friends.
This Orient is similar, plus it's an automatic mechanical watch, which is also very cool. Basically it means these watches don't need batteries, they get their energy automatically by being moved (shaken or by normal wear on the wrist). You'll be walking around with some amazing machine that only dies if you stop moving it, and technology that can be dated back to over 400 years ago. Aren't mechanical watches amazing?

Lastly, Laco has some pilot watches for 200-400. Pretty sexy, but I don't know much about them. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Laco+pilot+watch
I get compliments on my Timex Weekender Chrono very often. "Can't stop looking at it", a friend said the other day.

G-Shock GA-1000
My old watch is a Casio 200H, this thing is cheap, and takes a beating. Mine's all scratched up and everything from deployments, and training. Been through mud, rain, falls, and being dropped/thrown.
http://www.casio.com/products/watches/classic/mrw200h-1bv
There's a G-Shock for that: https://www.amazon.com/Casio-GD350-1B-Shock-Black-Watch/dp/B00BU6RUU6

Was looking for something along these lines for my girlfriend and eventually settled on a Timex Weekender Farfield, it comes on a NATO so it's easy to swap the strap to whatever (18mm) and it keeps time much better than any automatics in the same price range. Plus, Indiglo is better than lume in most situations. Hard to argue for the price! I also looked at Mondaines, Braun, Tsovet, Boccia, Skagen, and a few others. There's also a new startup (creator posted here recently) for "item." watches that looked pretty nice.
That's a good suggestion, though the leather strap that comes with the regular Weekender is kinda cheap, the Chrono version is much better. Personally I'd buy the cheapest Weekender I could find and then replace the strap with a better quality leather one.
I would also suggest looking at the Weekender Fairfield or Waterbury models:

I'd say wasting all my fucking money on this watch.
I'm slightly late, but this is actually the Casio Royale with a strap from another AE1200-type watch - the AE1200WHB-1BV. Sometimes I do wear the steel bracelet it came with, but I prefer the look of the other strap.
I've put a lot of my cloth straps through some serious abuse and never had problems with them getting stinky. Your mileage may vary, of course. It's a great watch either way that will withstand a fair bit of abuse.

So you're going for a minimalist look then?
Give timex a look
or r/watches too
I got a Sinobi, which cost $10 and looks quite a bit like a DW. Buy a cheap NATO strap and you're set for ~$25.
Sinobi - best watch for $10, also seems to fit your description (they sell gold ones too)
I am in need of new shoes for walking/everyday wear and I am torn between purchasing Jack Purcells, Adidas ZX flux slip ons, Nike Huaraches, or Adidas Tubulars. If I go with Tubulars, should I get them in white or bliss purple?
Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a casio watch? I'm digging these in gold, black, and black.

Loving this flight varient but really struggling to find a location to buy it. Looking for the white and blue varient. Do they just not build these anymore?
Ah, Thank you for your reply! Now I know this type of watch is okay for a man to wear. Now I just gotta find something like this but better quality. Already ordered a Timex Fairfield. Comes in in a few days. Wonder if it looks nice in real life too. :)
Depends on exactly what you're looking for, but you can definitely find nicer looking analog watched. Casio has some nicer looking ones, this one from Sketchers has a nicer look to it. Fossil also has some more attractive digital watches, but they are at a higher price point.

I picked up this cheap-o leather (not even sure if its real leather) nato strap from ebay some time ago.
[This] (https://www.amazon.com/White-Unisex-Leather-Quartz-SNB011/dp/B009WG8U8M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478197682&sr=8-1&keywords=sinobi) is the watch itself.
Oh, I recognize that watch. It's a Timex Harborside. I think it's quite nice looking.
Some similar looking alternatives from Timex are the Expedition Ranger, Expedition Ranger Solar, Expedition Scout 36mm and 40mm, and Allied Coastline, although I think the Harborside is the dressier looking of these.
On the other hand, if you liked the minimalist Fairfield, you can easily buy a cheap one like this and simply replace it with a more dressy strap, this is a well-known "trick."
I'm a fan of Braun's watches, and there are a couple that match what you might be looking for aesthetically:
www.amazon.com/Braun-BN0032BKBKMHG-Classic-Analog-Display/dp/B004X4KW7A/
http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Analog-Watch-Black-Leather/dp/B004XWE9EO/
I hate being the guy who tells you to save more, but if your post just screams Braun.
That's a cheap one. This is well worth the extra 20k.
$129 isn't bad for a quartz watch, but this one strikes me as a fashion brand, one that uses a $15 movement and sticks it in an attractive case with a massive markup, and no horological significance. Alternatives:
-Timex Fairfield
-Citizen AU1080-11L
-Bulova Accutron
-Messerschmitt KR200-BDBL
-Orient Bambino
It's certainly a sharp looking watch, but not worth the $100+ price tag IMO unless you can get it at a steep discount. If that's exactly what you want though don't let me talk you out of it.

I've not laughed so hard in a long time.
They do a similar wristwatch
Looking for two similar, one for the GF, one for me.
We are both in medical, She's an RN and I'm a Vet Tech, looking for a nice accurate beater, I prefer having a dive bezel for timing, I don't think she has a preference. Readability is a huge plus, as well as a second hand.
I've found this for her and this one for me
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on possible solar watches or other suggestions. The idea of it lasting without any maintenance is wonderful, but they're 15$ watches so whatever.
I have a Seiko SNZF Urchin that I've been wearing, but the amount of shit I've gotten on it is making me want to not wear it anymore.
My "minimalist approach" is not owning a watch :)
If you want a super basic one, check Amazon... there's basic black/white Swatch ones for pretty cheap.
Here's a $10 Casio one I bought to use when I'm camping and don't want to have my phone on me to tell time.
It's not a unisex watch, Timex MAKES unisex watches but labels them as so.
I hate to break it to you but the watch he linked:
This one... is not in the same style of their unisex version which is here
White dial with gold hands and casing is a feminine style, it's not like they just "made it smaller." Perhaps you should grow a pair of eyes. Add that to the list behind learning how to act like a decent person.
