I personally only use them for signed albums just so the signatures don’t come off, but I can understand wanting to use them for other reasons like keeping the dust off of them.

I bought these ones so just in case I get some albums that are bigger, but it probably won’t fit big ones like some NCT or Pentagon albums due to its size.

Full binder

This is with business card holder pages like this I got at walmart.

I'm on mobile, so forgive the utter lack of formatting. I was looking for a zipper, three ring binder, a spot of graph paper pads, and big enough pockets so I didn't have to squeeze things in and out. See below for what I got.

Get the Standard fullbacks and the Mylites2 725 size .

These are what I use and they fit Silver age through Modern. I use Golden age toploaders as well. You want to make sure whatever backing boards you get are one size smaller than your bags (700 on the board, and 725 on the bag). For the golden age books, you would want to size up on both.

I used to use a shooter's bag that I picked up at a gun show. Here is my old setup. I got it for around $30, but ultimately the zipper on the top pouch failed, so I don't use it anymore. One of the best things that I've found for keeping my atomizers organized are shotgun shell pouches. You can get them in different sizes, for like 12 or 24. I use a Condor EMT Pouch to keep my wire and other small parts together, and I use a Niji Rollup for my rebuilding tools. Here it is in action. Best of luck in your search for organization.

A comb binder for less than $50 CAD. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B01L6EEB5I?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image

I've keep books forever, and between 20+ year old piano music books for me and my husband's D+D books, it's actually repaired a number of books. Last time I took a book in to be bound it was $15-20. I've also been able bind up some individual sheet music to keep pages in order - so much cheaper and more convenient than taking stuff to kinkos.

Some are some aren't. These are the things that I use.

Real quick explanation on why I use Mylar bags now:

u/MNightScamalong · 3 pointsr/news

Not really. https://www.amazon.com/Case-Mighty-3-Inch-Zipper-D-146-BLU/dp/B01EUPCLDY

This zip binder could comfortably hold a handgun and a quite few magazines.

Also a magazine in itself isn't really recognizable on its own Someone might just see a end of a plastic piece in a mesh bag.

Edit: rereading this what I mean is unless you actually see the full profile of the magazine or the bullets on top, a magazine can easily look like something innocent such as a glasses case or a pencil case.

I want to second your decision to go with this BCW comics box. I have not used specifically this protective carry box, but I absolutely can vouch for the quality of most BCW products. I think you can see for yourself how well this box works for precisely what you need to do when visiting C2E2 as you read the reviews for this product on Amazon. I use BCW top loaders, and I will usually only buy and use BCW top loaders. They're an excellent quality. I recommend their products, and if I was going to do what you want to do with comics at C2E2 I would own and carry this box too.

I also wanted to point out 2 more things at Amazon. You can go Full Protection Mode and get the BCW white boards to back all of your comics, both the ones you own and the ones you will by. 100 BCW comic boards are under $13.

https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Supplies-Current-Comic-Boards/dp/B003ZUK2J6/ref=pd_sim_229_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003ZUK2J6&pd_rd_r=KXQVDJ3WFYF65XA13E70&pd_rd_w=8IirJ&pd_rd_wg=N5NyU&refRID=KXQVDJ3WFYF65XA13E70&th=1

And you can bag and board using the add-on priced Ultra-Pro bags of 100 for $7.50

https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Resealable-Current-Size-Comic/dp/B002QGAF8S/ref=pd_bxgy_200_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002QGAF8S&pd_rd_r=8S001ABXKAVTBDDC33ZY&pd_rd_w=61NwS&pd_rd_wg=ftqzB&psc=1&refRID=8S001ABXKAVTBDDC33ZY

Or stick with BCW comic bags of 100 for $10

https://www.amazon.com/Current-Re-Sealable-Comic-Book-Count/dp/B002MVQ7W0/ref=pd_sim_200_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002MVQ7W0&pd_rd_r=P61W1QQ1XW6K01D8QFWG&pd_rd_w=2W6Bo&pd_rd_wg=GULhs&psc=1&refRID=P61W1QQ1XW6K01D8QFWG

It's an investment right now. But with your box for transporting comics, combined with the bagging and boarding for protection during travel or storage at home, you will be set for quite a while.

u/Buibies · 3 pointsr/LifeProTips

Should've been more specific, my bad.

This is the first and only one I've had since Junior High(now going into sophomore year in college.) Got it for ten bucks, don't think they make it anymore though:
http://www.amazon.com/FIVE-STAR-TRU-LOCK-BNDR-1-5N/dp/B00290JFW8/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347056852&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=five+star+binder+trulock

This is the only other binder I carry around since they don't make the tru lock or sell it in stores near me: http://www.amazon.com/Five-Star-NoteBinder-1-5-Inch-72403/dp/B003OCQSB6

Got them both for under 10 each.

u/irl_lurker · 3 pointsr/DnD

Yes! Remember sheet protectors?

Use those! Also get some dry-erase markers, and you can use that to track HP, spell slots, equipment that might disappear, etc.

Bags and boards for floppies is usually the way to go for most people. My local comic shop bags and boards them for free so I haven't had to buy any, but they're cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-PRO-Comic-Bags-Current-Modern/dp/B001TXBKYW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1417725500&sr=8-2&keywords=comic+bags

http://www.amazon.com/Current-Comic-Book-Backing-Boards/dp/B003ZUK2J6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417725522&sr=8-1&keywords=comic+boards

After that most people put the comics in a short box or a long box like this. http://www.amazon.com/Collectible-Comic-Cardboard-Storage-Comics/dp/B0037J9FGQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417725538&sr=8-1&keywords=comic+long+box

I personally just use an old Amazon box since it's small and perfect size for my few floppies.

Hope this helped.

u/Cyborg2342 · 2 pointsr/XWingTMG

I think you're stuck looking for something like this but they won't fit as perfectly in the slots as you want. As far as I know, no one makes a side loading page like the one you have with half sized card pockets.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/manga

mylites are made for much thinner comics so while manga can fit into a larger sized bag (because manga volumes tend to be much smaller than comics), it would be difficult to place them on a bookshelf. On the other hand, if you're stacking them in a pile/box I think it would work out..

A quick google search shows that they do exist though... https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Digest-Manga-Bag-Pack/dp/B002IPQNBK problem is there's no "standard" manga size while big name comic publishers all publish comics in the same size.

Quickest/easiest/cheapest way might be to stop by your local hardware store and see if they have long enough screw post sets.

u/gunslinger_006 · 2 pointsr/comicbooks

Dude I personally don't mind, but look at the votes...the sub in general is harsh on these kinds of questions.

So, to help you out: I use BCW single sided boards. They are coated on ONE side, and that is the shiny side. Make sure when you put your board + comic in the bag that you put it shiny side toward the comic, as that is the coated side (you can also buy more expensive boards that are coated on both sides but I think this is not necessary).

Are you not using bags and boards?

u/mrhabalhabal · 1 pointr/3DS

Like one of the comments said, do not bring all your games at the same time, you lose 1 container, you lose all of them. For travelling, I suggest you just bring a small bag that has at least 3 (or 6 games) you can play on the go.

But I like to live my life dangerously :D

At first I was settled in 4pcs of these: 28 in 1 Cartridge Cases but I ended up getting more games than I should (Gotta catch them all) and They were a bit bulky to bring. Soon I did a bit of digging on what's on the market.

Found some interesting stuff like:

The Mario Block

Club Nintendo Card cases

And even considered the metal Attache case.

What I settled for Involves this thing:

Coin Pocket Pages - I tried one that doesn't close at the top but they kept falling off. You need to punch holes for these since they aren't made to size for the regular 3 ring binders I bought.

For the main storage I got this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P48ZRY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Soon I bought more and upgraded to this:

u/Miles4Matt · 1 pointr/churning

I use these and a 3 ring binder for my sock drawer cards: http://amzn.com/B00006IC8I

My wallet is a Calvin Klein tri-fold wallet that holds roughly 18 credit cards + cash. It's getting kind of bulky, but that's also because I have 5 cards I'm trying to meet minimum spend on. It'll thin out a little in a couple months.

u/Baron164 · 1 pointr/comicbooks

I was looking at getting a package of these to start with:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001244X56?colid=1MOP00VJRQNOC&coliid=I1DAU1CNOLPDYM&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

I've used magazine holders for other things before and my concern is that the comic books would be too small and look out of place.

u/AaronCarver · 1 pointr/baseballcards

These will work fine as long as you hvae graded card sleeves as well; Otherwise the cases will slip out too easily. https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-4-Pocket-Platinum-Pockets/dp/B0009RNQN2

u/Miesfist · 1 pointr/anime

High five!!! mine just came in today as well. I'm not going to read it as i have the e-book version, so its going to be on the shelf right away.

Oh don't worry, I coughtorrentcough all the anime i watch. Buying all these merchandise is my way of supporting the companies making the shows i like.

If you've seen Shirobako, then you'll know what the animation/production notes are like. That show was the main reason i started collecting those things to begin with.

Yea, it really is hard to justify these purchases especially with me. All the books i have are sealed upon receiving. They are unread, maybe a couple of flips here and there but other wise, nothing that will break/deteriorate the binding (except for my first set of Bakuman manga).

For the BDs, they are more practical. I'd watch them once a while whenever i feel like it. Other than that, the bonuses are looked at for the first time then sealed away within the box.

These figurines are always kept in the best condition possible, as far as me installing airtight strips on the openings of the display case to prevent most of the dust from coming in. Dusted once to twice a month.

i really just like collecting them, once a while i ask myself what i'm going to do once i phase out of this collecting of mine. But i never got an answer to that, guess i'll figure it out once i'm close/at that point. At other times i feel like i'm wasting money as well, i have a small space in my room and i keep buying more stuff (very limited space left for figurines, but have 15 more preordered; No more space on my shelf to hold more BDs w/o taking over other spaces). This is purely just a self-satisfying hobby which i am enjoying at the moment.

All i can tell you is, if you want to do it you're free to start collecting. BUT, unlike me, limit yourself, for example X amount of dollars a month, or only buying things from series you REALLY like, etc. Know when to stop, budget your money, just because you can buy something doesn't mean you can afford it.

And yes, the books are sealed. I'm using polypropylene/acid-free bags to store them. I learned the lesson the hard way when i noticed my first set of Bakuman manga pages turn yellowish, and i didn't want that to happen again.

Hardware

I'm seeing a lot of software solutions which is great but if you take math/physics they are paper heavy so for those I really needed a binder full of paper

u/Shacaught · 1 pointr/EngineeringStudents

I am planning to buy this, i really liked the idea, but i can't afford much. Maybe 2 of them and i think i can use them for 6 classes. They have dividers inside them but i am not sure about that after i read your comment :/

u/Sindriss · 1 pointr/arkhamhorrorlcg

The binder is custom from Zazzle the pages are printed on normal paper, 2 in each sleeve back to back. I used these sleeves.

u/kimchinaut · 1 pointr/comic_crits

You can get 0.3 pencils off amazon! They're pricey for a writing pencil but fine for an art pencil. Pentel and other brands sell different lead weights that can also be bought off amazon, but I find the standard HB that comes with the pencil works for what you specified, but a 2H might smudge a little less

D&D Basics (Getting started)

The Absolute Basics

First you will want to grab either the Basic rules (Free), the Starter Set (Cheap), or the Players handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, and Probably Monster Manual

Then you need to have at least a few items

  • Dice (Phone apps will work if absolutely necessary, or these)
  • Paper & Pencil (for notes)
  • Character Sheet (In the free PDF or an app)

The starter set is nice because it does a bunch of the work for you, it has an easy to follow adventure, pre-made characters, Dice, and rules for the DM and players. And at half the cost of just the players handbook AND including an adventure, it is an incredible value.

Once you finish that then looking at at least a players handbook for the extra races, classes, backgrounds, and other things is a good deal. That should let you run free adventures people have put online.

The DM's guide will let you get deeper into rules and the right way to call them, break them, and make them.

The monster manual can be a great tool to make better encounters.

If you want to run a commercial adventure after the one's included in the starter set, "Tales from the Yawning Portal" includes the Sunless Citidel, considered by many to be an excellent adventure for those new to the game and just recently brought up from 3.5e into 5e

    Common Tools of the Trade

As you start running more complex adventures you are going to want to have a few tools to keep things moving, either as a player or as a DM.

    As a Player

The bare essentials every players should have are listed above, but most players agree having a few extras can make the game run really quick.

    Spell Cards

These cards have all the spells available for specific classes or from specific books on really well organized cards that make it easy to set aside your prepared spells and quickly reference all the core details.

Cleric, Arcane, Ranger, Druid, Bard, Paladin, Martial Powers and Races, Xanathars Guide to Everything

    Binders & Sheet Protectors

Keeping everything neat and organized can be a huge time saver and make it much easier for you to find what you need. Binders can be a great way to keep your notes and other materials organized. In addition many sheet protectors easily erase dry erase markers making it easy to keep track of spells and other changes without ruining character sheets with constant erasing.

    As a DM

DMs have their work cut out for them. But a few simple tools can make the game run smooth and leave everyone having that much more fun.

    Index Cards

A set of index cards can go a long way to speeding up the game. Players can put details on spells or magic items on them. You can prepare loot for the game ahead of time and hand it out allowing players to look over the gear as the game continues. You can also use them to hide portions of a battle map or commerical map to give the effect of fog of war.

    Game Mats

A game mat let's you make single maps by drawing on them with dry erase or wet erase markers. Many are made of vinyl and can last a long time. Normally they will have either 1" squares or hex shapes.

    Minitures

These things can be expensive, but giving your game that 3D upgrade and helping players better manage space in a game can be well worth it. You can use actual miniatures (Like those from Reaper), Create custom ones on Hero's Forge, or even just buy some cheap stand in tokens from Game Mash.

If you just need a cheap way to keep track of positions army men, bottle caps, colored game pieces, and even legos can all play the role.

No matter what you use, you can pick up colored rubber bands to mark status conditions or other information.

    Where Can I Play?

You can find tons of places to play D&D.

  • Get together a gaming group.
  • Find a Guild or club in your area. Meetup.com,
  • Most hobby shops and especially comic book and gaming shops offer games, usually Adventure League. WotC offers a tool to find stores here.
  • /r/lfg can be a great way to find others to play online with.
  • Play by Mail sites like RPoL allow you to play by forum post.

    Also:

Critical Role - Voice actors playing DnD, Matt Mercer (The DM) is an amazing Dungeon Master and shows how the game should be played.

Matthew Colville - Amazing videos on being a DM, must watch material for every DM. Even when your opinions differ he gives good reasons and great advice.

    Compendiums

These let you ciew all the free open rules (SRD & Basic Rules) for D&D 5e at no cost.

Roll20 Compendium - Has all the open rules for the game, so a good source for monsters, items, spells, etc.

DnDBeyond - A more official source for the content, plus you can buy all the materials released by WotC to use, and has a great character builder.

    Adventures & Maps

DMsGuild - Tons of free and paid adventures and other materials. The quality can be varying, but many are free and that can be great.

/r/dndmaps/ - What more can they say, D&D Maps.

Mike Schley Makes many of the maps for the D&D Adventures.

I think you have too many books. Just pick a fundamental you want to study and practice it. reference all your books for that specific thing you're working on skipping chapters if you have too. I have experimented with different art containers and I have found that if I use a art bag stuff gets lost in the bag and unused and forgot about. Pencils of different types tend to break off all the tips and stuff gets dirty in the bag from loose graphite and the broken tip problem. I like using a niji roll. https://www.amazon.com/Yasutomo-Niji-Roll-Multi-purpose-Pouch/dp/B0027A5A9M/ It keeps everything in view when open so I know what I have. It keeps the point on all my pencils from banging around and breaking. It doesn't collect dust like a bag does. For paper and stuff for storage I use a Ikea Alex drawer unit. It looks much nicer and more durable than those plastic walmart containers.

$5 for 25 pieces? sounds pretty good.

do you buy resealable ones or just regular ones that you close up with tape?

I'm looking at this one right now but it seems like it's only good for new comics so if I start buying classics, the bag may not fit.

I guess silver age bags are the best way to go at it?

u/amaraNT2oo2 · 1 pointr/EngineeringStudents

I use loose leaf graph paper inside a flexible binder. I like being able to add and remove sheets - also, the fact that you can flip the cover of this binder over and use it like a spiral notebook is pretty nice.

I use one of these for my pens and I find it a great solution. It should fit Goulet-style ink sample bottles, too.
