It seems that only certain permanent markers contain xylene. The King Size Sharpie as well as the Magnum Sharpie do, according to Wikipedia. The marker that they seem to be using is a big metal one like the King Size and Magnum so it is likely that the marker they're using does contain xylene. It also probably contains cresol, which is also very bad. A very large portion of his skin is covered in marker, marker that is likely more harmful than your typical permanent marker. I'd be pretty upset if someone covered a good portion of my body in highly toxic industrial solvents. I'm not a stick in the mud incapable of having fun, if there was an option that was non-toxic and equally as marking I might find the humor in it. I just wish people had more sense to know the harm these things can have on a person's health.

I just used these.

First off, Welcome to /r/Gunpla and the plastic crack hobby

A few simple things that I think can help make a kit pop for cheap are

1.) Panel lining- basically just drawing in those recessed grooves that are all over. It gives depth and brings out details. The ones i use are like this. Brown for reddish colors, grey for light, and black for darker plastic. Usually $2-4 per marker depending on how you buy em

2.) Nub removal- there are tons of resources for how to do this "properly" and everyone finds their own way. The general consensus is first cut about halfway between the runner (the rounded pipe like stuff that all the parts come in) and the gate (where the runner narrows down and connect to the piece you are actually using).
Then using an exacto knife cut that remaining little bit off and buff the rest with high grit sandpaper 500 or higher works well. Its ok to be a little bit sloppy here because...

3.) Top coat- This stuff will coat the model and make all those sand marks go away. It also makes the model look less "plasticy" and more like the "real" thing. There are primarily 3 types: Matte/flat which is not shiny at all like a military vehicle would be, gloss which is very shiny like a sports car, and satin which is somewhere in between. I prefer matte lke this. Just pop the arms and legs off and spray.

From there you can get into the deeper stuff if you are so inclined such as painting, modding and scratch building. There are plenty of great resources here such as the sidebar guide or falldog's guide which is how I learned.

Sorry for the long post but,

Happy Building!

Use the Sharpie oil-based paint marker: Amazon

possible, but risky.

your best bet is to get an oil-based marker pen and color in the wood portion.

No problem, my pleasure!

This is the set I have from Staedtler. I don't know them to have bigger sets for the metallic ones.

There's also this set of fineliners from Staedtler, but they have such a tiny point, they're only god for small details honestly.

And for Posca there's also this huge set, but I honestly think this is an overkill.

Depending on where you are from, I think you can also go to a local library and see f they have an open stock for any of these markers and just buy whatever you like after testing them...

You can also try the even more expensive sets, but honestly, I don't think they're worth it.

Copic markers

Another too expensive set of markers: Chameleon

Some of my friends bought these too: Tombow dualbrush

Posca and Staedtler have the most affordable and awesome markers though.

It appears to be an acrylic paint pen. I use the same thing to write vintages on my wine bottles

I recommend the sharpie's that are UV resistant I've had the regular one's for awhile, then I'd go back to a job and the sharpie be wore out from the heat or sunlight etc.

Just looked them up they are called Sharpie Extreme ... https://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-Extreme-Permanent-Markers-1927434/dp/B00UHUJE1O

This is what a lot of the folks use and I used it as well... Sharpie Paint Pens

It’s slightly more glossy than the back of his board but after a few rides that will simmer down a bit.

Can I just pick all the studio ghibli films?! SO AWESOME. Spirited Away was my first one, it was my dad who chose for us to rent it from the video store c: They've brought me so many wonderful memories, I even got to study them in high school for Advanced Higher English!

I would quite like The Long Halloween off of Lewis' list, either of the David Thorne books or these sharpies off my own list c:

I LOVE KEVIN! <3

I understand what you mean, but during school/uni me and almost everyone used pens with standard refills (waterman, parker, lamy, whatever) and you could always erase the "standard blue" with something like

That's probably why. Most kids in France write with using FP with cartridges (I think they are mandatory in primary school and in High School some of my teachers would require students to use FP during tests) so ink erasers are super popular there.

The same eraser as in the picture : http://www.amazon.fr/Papermate-Reynolds-Magic-Effaceur-r%C3%A9%C3%A9criveur/dp/B008AABVZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450772049&sr=8-1&keywords=%C3%A9ffaceur (french Amazon)

You are probably right about bottled ink. Is it possible to fill any pen with regular cartridge ink or is it complicated ?

Even with the wash, it may not be enough to clean up the Boost. What I've done in the past is use white oil based markers to make them look brand new. Here's a link to the ones I got on Amazon. Works perfectly for me

Are you sure you want to make her talk about all the parts of her that she finds unattractive? Some women might enjoy that, but unless she's said that she's into that sort of humiliation, it might take her out of the mood. If you're looking for an excuse to punish her in a fun way though, I've had a boyfriend who spanked me for breaking arbitrary rules we set up, so you could always set up something like that. Things like if I purposely went and made a mess with something I'd get spanked, so sometimes I'd purposely just make a small mess somewhere. It could also be done with you have to answer trivia questions right. You could also just do a role play or something like that with an excuse to spank her.

As for how to tie her up, you could always tie her to the bed posts, but that's not good if you want to spank her too, but it might be good for writing on her. You could also just bind her hands and feet, that way her mobility is greatly reduced, but you can still move her around as needed. That sounds like a good option for what you are describing. Here (NSFW) is a list of some bondage positions, but some of them are very complex, and not all of them are for everyone, so you could work your way up to some of them, but I don't know that all are recommended to first timers.

>When I worship her body and tell her all the things I love about her I planned on making her constantly repeat all of the things I say about her as if she was saying them to herself. (Example, I say, "You have amazing breasts" and she would repeat back, "I have amazing breasts") Is this a Good idea or bad?

It could be. You know your wife. I wouldn't be against it.

>I thought about maybe incorporating some body writing into all of this, mainly writing down all of the good things she/I say on her respective body parts, so that way for the next couple days she will see/read all the amazing things she/I said each time she looks at herself. I have never down anything like this so what kind of marker should I use etc.?

That might actually be pretty sweet! I haven't done a lot of body writing that I intended to last a long time, but I just googled it and apparently, they exist: https://www.amazon.com/SportSafe-Waterproof-Ink-Skin-Marker/dp/B01MSPLT0E

First off, let me say that you are incredibly awesome. You should be worshiped for your efforts.

You mentioned that you're "not really in a dominant/submissive type relationship". Are you sure you're not into the power play aspect? It sort of sounds like it's where you're headed. He helps to determine your daily rituals in this regard. He plays the role of the caring "Daddy", enforcing the proper behavior for your own good. If you misbehave or forget, he provides a punishment to help your do better the next time.

Bratty girls need lots of reinforcement. ;-)

This doesn't have to be a "serious thing". It can be as fun as you two decide to make it. But honestly, it sounds like you'd like it to be a bit more serious (which in my opinion is sensational), with more participation on his part.

Such punishments could include:

  1. Stand in the corner, hands on the walls, pushing that exposed ass out, until he says you're done.

  2. OTK (over the knee) spankings.

  3. Have a dedicated toy that gets inserted for X amount of time.

  4. Lie on kitchen/dining room table, legs spread in front of him, while he eats dinner/breakfast/lunch.

  5. You/He writes naughty phrases on your skin, such as around your pussy or on your ass.

Maybe you could make some sort of wheel spinner, to randomly determine your punishment.

We used these playing cards: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BTV2NV9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because they were durable and gave people room for messages. We got two different types of sharpies: Sharpie Metallics: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DPLQJVN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which worked absolutely great, did not smudge, looked great, fast drying and a package of multicolored ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UHUKKHQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which were hit and miss - some of these were too light and some did smudge a little. If your guests are careful, they can not smudge the ink, but especially if you are doing an open bar like we did that may be too much too ask. haha

u/signint · 1 pointr/Gunpla

First I'll answer your last question, no, there is nothing wrong with not painting or going all out on a model. Like you said, you have only been at this for a few months and it is always best to start small. If you keep at it, who knows, months down the road you may be making your own custom models. That being said, lets see what I can suggest for getting the best out of your model without putting a ton of time (or money) into it. The first few things I would pick up are:

Hi - Thanks so much!

I used unipin - these ones.

I'd prefer platinum-190

Gold markers!

I'd prefer one month! I want to share the gold love with everyone :)

Edit: WOOOO thanks for the gold!

That is really specific indeed. I looked around but couldn't find much. The only one I found has the puff ball and it's pretty expensive.

I suggest getting the white one from your amazon link and painting the red stripes with a Sharpie. Not even kidding! Good luck.

Edit: Apparently [found one!**](http://www.cappelsinc.com/product/wheres-waldo-slouch-beanie-hat/)

IMO the Magnum sharpie works a lot better for signmaking.
