I keep this charged and in my backpack, which take pretty much everywhere. Which is pretty much no where, and I just masturbate a lot.

Here's the one from OP's pic. It's $6 more than 20 so you can def trust it

With lighters like this so cheap and easy to use, I wouldn't bother with flint anymore:

https://www.amazon.com/Scorch-Torch-Variant-Adjustment-Gunmetal/dp/B00K31CE8C

But, if you want a flint, these work really well:

Bic comes out with special design lines every now and then. You can buy them loose or in a pack. They had an outrun style one in 2017 I think, and this is from it. You can't but them from their website but you can buy this pack on Amazon.

My FriEnts, this lighter is the bees knees, I ordered two from two different vendors, both perform awesome! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MWCNE20?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00

I ordered 4 cans of butane to have fuel on standby at all times.

I've had my VC since Saturday and I still haven't had to fill those big torch lighters I posted. They are very good!

u/kemplaz · 4 pointsr/vaporents

I've had good luck with this one so far, I've gone through about a dozen since I got my dynavap M and the Ronson is the only one that's been reliable beside a cheap slick. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007D50SSE/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1493824827&sr=8-2&keywords=ronson+lighter

My favorites, if I could only buy one it would be the Vapman:

Best price point/quality-Xing https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L82BU80/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Favorite at home, best ergonomics and striker is an easy thumb slide instead of awkward button depress . Smallish tank is only con. Largest of list- Scorch Torch(comparable to Zico) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OC00ESC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Vapman lighter has an outstanding reputation on FC, a large tank, smaller stature than Zico/ScorchTorch. It's my go to travel lighter- Vapman http://infinityvm.com/lighters-etc/

This is a list of my EDC. I go to public high school so some items can't be carried all the time. I'll try and get links to all the products I can.

  • Front Right Pocket
  • My iPod Touch 6 in blue (my iPod is the only thing that goes in here, this is to avoid unnecessary scratches).
  • Watch Pocket
  • Sometimes I'll carry a Mini Bic Lighter in baby blue.
  • Front Left Pocket
  • Kershaw Cryo Knife clipped onto my pocket.
  • Key Ring
    • A Key Dangler also clips on my pocket and keeps things from bunching up.
    • Leatherman Style PS- a multi tool that doesn't have a blade. So I'm able to take it to school and not worry about getting suspended.
    • A little dinky flashlight for when I'm really in a pinch.
  • Peculiarly Perfect Peanut Butter Peppermint Lip Balm (by the YouTubers Rhett and Link).
  • Back Left Pocket
    • Wallet
      • Along with normal things you keep in a wallet; I have two folded up paper towels. These come in handy.
  • Back Right Pocket
    • I like to keep this pocket as a blank slate. So it changes a lot. Sometimes I'll carry a hacksysack if I know I'll be doing a lot of standing around. Or I'll bring my Bolt Focus Flashlight to work. Other times I'll just have a folded up rag (because I'm too stingy to buy a hanky).

So I actually have a fairly in depth reason on why certain items go in certain pockets. But this comment is long enough so I'll leave it out unless you ask.

EDIT: It looks like the Bolt Focus Flashlight is currently unavailable. I'll still leave the link in case that changes.

BIC Website Then filter by "In Style" and "Cutting Edge".

OK, so I can't seem to find this lighter available anywhere in EU, if someone finds out, please let me know!

u/A-Void-Dance · 3 pointsr/vaporents

A regular lighter will leave soot and won't heat the cap very fast.

You are better off using a refillable torch lighter like THIS or THIS and using butane to refill it when it's out

u/forestplay · 3 pointsr/norcalhiking
  1. Depends on how much water you need for your dinner and if you indeed stay overnight at the peak. I carry 2-3 liters but usually camp near a water source and refill along the way. Since you're bringing a filter, you can refill along the way, so four is plenty. As you do more backpacking, you'll learn how much you should carry in the weight/convenience trade-off.

  2. I always use a bear canister but that's because I already own this one. You can rent a different model at REI, I pretty sure. Everything with even the slightest of scent goes in the container: food, snacks, toothbrush/paste, sun screen, chapstick, everything touches your skin. I just do it so I don't every have to worry about it.

When I was last at SMW, July 4 weekend earlier this summer, a critter nibbled on my food container and removed the plastic that holds on the little screws. I would not trust a stuff sack alone. It's not just about bears.

u/PrettyJiggyNiggy · 2 pointsr/Zippo

Noooo, that’s expensive as hell, get it for cheaper on amazon, still legit right here <<

u/SixFootStranger · 2 pointsr/Offroad

It's easy. I like to get the cig adapter with a built in fuse for extra protection, and then the wires typically connect red to red and black to black. https://www.amazon.com/CUZEC-Cigarette-Lighter-Adapter-CU10160B/dp/B075KF9363/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_263_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MV60WWFFMSA9E2W3M7Y8

You can get some wire splicers and heat shrink to make things neat and easy if you need to add more wire. (Most pods and bars only come with a foot or two of wire.) Lots of videos on youtube showing how to solder and connect wires many different ways. Good luck!

u/Nigrigd · 2 pointsr/trees

Amazon sells a product called the lighter bro it's a cool multitool that attaches to the lighter tie has a pick, a mini scissors, and a small pen knife. It is the ultimate stoner tool. And it marks the lighter as yours... so there's no deniability if someone tries to hawk your lighter
https://www.amazon.com/LighterBro-Stainless-Steel-Lighter-Sleeve/dp/B00M3GVHH4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494233261&sr=8-1&keywords=lighter+bro

Or you can make ($40 of Amazon parts + maybe 1 hour labor) or buy an induction heater

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/Dynavap/comments/c94dxj/diy_induction_heater_guide/

It you go dynavap (which you should) - just get a 2019M and ideally keep around an induction heater and a torch for when IH is not practical

Staying with just a torch is just fine though

Mid-East coast. Most gas stations sell em if you look but most have the bics on the display cus they're more popular

I picked up this torch lighter a few weeks ago and it's junk. I have to click it 20 times to get it to light most times and I've emptied and refilled it 5 or 6 times as well trying to get it to light consistently.

Awesome! It's a great vape! If you ever decide to get a torch, I highly recommend a single flame torch like ($12USD) this. Have fun!

u/HikaruEyre · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have a dual tip Xikar that I really like. I've had it for a year now and use a lot on a daily basis. It's been good about having a consistent strength of flame for the whole tank. you may be able to find other colors for cheaper but I like the big igniter/valve button because it's easy to use and comfortable.

That's an extremely useful bit of info! I really appreciate it!

I just have one more question, which I'm sure the answer is to obvious to everyone else but I am rather new to this all, but would I be able to connect this to the bilge pump to get it working off of a battery pack I have that has a female 12v port built in? (The battery pack is the 12,000mah battery I mentioned before) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KF9363/ref=psdc_15729631_t1_B074V6NPL7

From Top Left to Right.

Gearward Compact Survival Cord Mini, 25’
[http://gearward.com/collections/frontpage/products/compact-survival-cord-mini-technora]

Tucked inside the folds of the cord are: a micro neodymium magnet, a pen spring, a small safety pin.
[https://www.amazon.com/10-100pcs-Neodymium-Strong-Magnets-MarbellStore/dp/B01LZEJWVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484275063&sr=8-1&keywords=micro+neodymium+magnets].
Have actually used this for: fishing some ladies keys from a grate at the school before the janitor could show up. Also repaired a neighbour’s skate lace with the cord.

Night Ize Inova thumb light (three functions, bright, medium, flash)
Have actually used this for finding a lost earring in a dark movie theatre. Thought I would use it to find the locks on my house and car, but everything is pretty well lit.

Stanley Key Chain Tape Measure
[https://www.amazon.com/Toysmith-Key-Chain-Tape-Measure/dp/B000F4G5NW/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484274328&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=stanley+keychain+tape+measure+1m]
Have actually used this for buying a new sideboard from an antique shop. Knew the measurements of the room and used this to determined it wouldn’t fit in that room. LOL.

Nite Ize inka Mobile Pen
[https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Mobile-Stylus-IMP-M1-R7/dp/B00BAWSOD2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484275029&sr=8-2&keywords=Nite+Ize+Inka]
Have actually used this tons of times whether someone doesn’t have a pen, or for myself at the passport office or recently at the lawyer’s office.

Prime-Lite 5-1 Multifunction Keychain with Light
[http://www.prime-lite.ca/camping_outdoors/5-in-1-multifunction-keychain-with-light-24-852.html]
A new addition. I like the full sized Phillips screwdriver bit. Has a flashlight. Used it to open the bottom of my son’s new RC car’s battery compartment. Has a knife, too. Good for package opening. Not much else.

[Nite Ize DoohicKey Keychain Multitool]
Actually used this recently to pry open my frozen gas cap cover.

[Mini Bic Lighter]
To light cigs, mostly. Haven’t needed to start any urban fires. But… I wrapped over it a thin layer of [To-Go Gorilla Tape] (https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-6100101-2-Duct-Tape-Black/dp/B01M2AAGTZ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484274817&sr=8-1&keywords=travel+gorilla+tape) and generic electrical tape at the base. [I interwove the electrical tape through a generic (plastic coated) paperclip so that it acts as a keychain. Haven’t lost one yet.]. I used the duct tape recently when a poster fell down at my kids’ Christmas recital and I was able to peel a few pieces off for the teacher to put it back up.

[Mini Sharpie Marker]
Used it recently to write a nasty note to a jerk who dinged my car. Also to get an autograph on a menu of an actor you’ve probably never heard of, but who was big growing up in Toronto.

[Generic Folding Travel Scissors]
(https://www.amazon.com/UCEC-Scissors-Xiaoquan-Slip-N-Snip-scissors/dp/B0199VSV42/ref=sr_1_1?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1484274914&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=folding+scissors&psc=1)
Sharper than I expected. I recently used this to save the day when my son refused to wear his new Christmas sweater for a family picture because the tags were itching his back. Snip. Problem solved.

[Gerber Dime Micro Tool]
Good to have this as it has pliers, but I haven’t used it other than to pull yellow lego heads out of lego helmets.

[Nite Ize Key Rack Locker]
(https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Stainless-Carabiner-MicroLocks/dp/B00FIX12AG/ref=sr_1_1?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1484274970&sr=8-1&keywords=Nite+Ize+Keychain)
A good way to keep it all together. These clips don’t lose their… clippieness.

So, I love this little EDC. Will continue to use it, thought I don’t see many ways to improve it!

u/SuperMajesticMan · 1 pointr/shitpost

That is not a shit post. Just because it was something cheap doesn't mean it can't amazing you. I find it pretty cool looking. Also it is more than $15

u/i_go_to_uri · 1 pointr/trees
u/vaporman2084 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Arc lighters usually just light paper from a spark. There is no flame. I think you should look for a torch instead.

I have this one

A 3 flame torch like this is recommended.

http://www.amazon.com/GStar%C2%AE-TorchZilla-Series-Windproof-Lighter/dp/B00MWCNE20?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

I've had this lighter for about 6 months now and I will never buy another one. It held up well in heavy winds at the beach, gets used every thursday when I herf with a couple local guys, is refillable and cheap. Some people like their lighters to be a little fancier and if he would like something nice you can't go wrong with any Xikar products (lifetime warranty)

u/tehvolcanic · 1 pointr/trees

Get a LighterBro brah.

u/tjbrou · 1 pointr/ImaginarySteampunk

Very neat. They also sell on Amazon for $25

u/WhippingTheLammasASS · 1 pointr/vaporents

You would probably enjoy a smaller torch than those flambé style torches.

Everything on dynavap's website is solid. I guess amazon considers them 'torch/cigar lighters', so something like this or this. I haven't tried either of those, but just trying to give you a reference.

You can actually check out your local smoke shops for them too. However, they usually don't have as big of selection and can be a little more expensive. Aliexpress is would also be a good place to check out, if you don't mind 1 month boat shipping.

u/darthjenni · 1 pointr/CampingGear

OHH Your talking about the actual bear canister. They are hella expensive. That is why parks had to start renting them out.

This one is only $60 Udap NO-FED-BEAR Bear Resistant Canister but I don't think your pot will fit.

This one's lid is also a pot Lighter1 Lil' Sami Bear Canister $95

u/crocko22 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have this one and it works great and is super easy to refill. 🙃

u/ClosetCaseGrowSpace · 1 pointr/eldertrees

Oh man, I love my Dynavap. It's very tactile and satisfying to handle. It's my daytime go-to. The seshes are on the smaller size, so I don't get melted and wreck my tolerance if I'm hitting it all day. What are you using to heat it? I like tried a few different lighters with mine. I like this one a lot.

u/John_the_Piper · 0 pointsr/EDC

If he's a techy kind of guy, you could try a [flameless rechargeable lighter] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EII2HM8/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1496716433&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=flameless+lighter+rechargeable&dpPl=1&dpID=519PlfwL3ML&ref=plSrch). It's definitely more of a trinket than actually useful to non-smokers, but it'll be a fun way to light a campfire in the backyard.

u/pipedream- · 0 pointsr/Dynavap

You need one that can handle 6a, which is pretty hard to find on amazon it seems.

But you could always buy one like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KF9363

and hook it up to one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KGMYMCQ/
