HERE is a side-by-side I made of one Redditor's (sorry I forgot username) Apple black link bracelet and my Amazon black link bracelet that was $23.

Notice how the Apple bracelet is ever so slightly glossier than the knockoff. I have an Aluminum S4, so I would actually recommend the knockoff over the Apple bracelet as far as looks go if you have an aluminum watch, because it matches the finish a little better. A year in, it's held up extremely well in daily use. There is one link on the bottom that has some coating abrasion where I rest my hand on the desk. If it was a visible flaw I could buy 20 of these for the price of one Apple band if I needed to swap it out :) I'd bet that if it were an Apple version there would be no abrasion at all though.

EDIT: Just snapped this pic of the only wear it's had in over a year of daily wear. Check the link on the lower left you can make out it out. In my experience the coating seems to be very scratch resistant (more than the screen of Apple Watch which has couple hairline scratches while the band itself has none), but more susceptible to a year of constant friction against a hard surface like a desk. Anyway, hope that helps.

Would something like this work?

Edit: I haven’t used this myself...

u/swatpandamonium · 8 pointsr/pebble

For sure man! Its the hybrid leather/rubber one on amazon. I picked it up because my previous leather strap just got too worn/stiff from wearing it all the time.

I would stay away from imitation Nike bands, personally. There's been a few reports on here where black paint is already starting to peel (after just weeks!) leaving the whole band looking like bright neon.

I have had my JETech milanese loop band for a few months and it's holding up so far.

The Moko link band comes highly recommended here.

For leather bands, I would stick with a manufacturer like Monowear or Clockwork Synergy (at least at Amazon) instead of a chinese knock-off of "Hermes". You're extremely likely to get more for your money and a better band in almost every aspect.

I got the ones below off a recommendation from someone else. Great match in color and so far have held up well. I really like them. On mobile so forgive the formatting if there are any issues.

Aside from the slight increase in weight, I've always found metal bands to be more comfortable cuz silicone/ rubber bands tend to stick on my wrist. I've tested this out with the default band and the galaxy active band and still think metal bands are better. However if you rest your hand on a desk for too long it might get a little uncomfortable. An alternative could be leather bands but those aren't waterproof.

LOL. Well, we all know that no keyboard is better than the other. It's what works best for you. I am pretty tall and have wide shoulders so using a regular keyboard hurts my wrists since I have to bend them. I type an average of 5 hours a day and that keyboard has been a lifesaver. Took some time to get used to it but after a day or so, I got fully used to it. Personally for work, I think it's a great keyboard.

Back to the watch, this is the one I got from Amazon. So easy to install it and remove it in case you need to change the band again for a different occasion.

u/lagunawarrior · 3 pointsr/GalaxyWatch

I haven't tried this one in particular but I just bought a similar style band (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D76KDSM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I've been pleasantly surprised. It has a silicon interior to help keep sweat away from the leather and it's pretty comfortable - not overly bulky and rigid like another one I tried. I've only been wearing it for a couple of weeks but it still looks great.

u/skupper67 · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I think we are going to start to find a lot of incompatible 3rd party bands moving forward. I had a similar issue with a third party band from amazon. Very tough to remove and thought I may have damaged the S4 SB SS case.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019IO50C6?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Avoid at all costs for S4 models

u/CarlosAce · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

You might want to consider this band here. Overall, you should be fine, but I know my concern on being a little rough with the watch has gone away since I purchased this band.

u/TheEdgeOfTheInternet · 3 pointsr/hwatch

I bought a refurbished hwatch from newegg a little over a month ago, but it came with the leather strap which I'm not a huge fan of. I ordered this link band from Amazon and it's been wonderful. I saw a few reviews saying it pulls your arm hair which concerned me initially, but I have fairly hairy arms and it hasn't been a problem at all in the month I've worn it. Of course YMMV but I have absolutely no complaints.

I also bought one of that same seller's silicone bands for use at the gym. Both bands get my seal of approval FWIW.

Apple Watch Series 3 Band, Oittm 42mm Stainless Steel Replacement Strap Link Bracelet Metal iWatch Band with Double Button Folding Clasp for Apple Wat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XPR454R?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

u/ozdreaming · 2 pointsr/pebble

Truffol sells some pretty decent bands, several of which are similar to the PTS stock stainless steel link band. See their site, or Amazon storefront for pics.

(Just a onetime Truffol customer, no other affiliation.)

u/joero86 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

It's a knockoff version of the ridiculously expensive link bracelet Apple sells.

u/Valthonis · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I have the Space Grey version of that same bracelet on my SGS. It's my go-to band for when I need to look (or feel) more formal, and it's held up really well in the four months I've owned it.

NOTE: the above is not an affiliate link; just an straight AmazonSmile link to the bracelet.

u/Cat_Marshal · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

For Milanese, I got this and this (obviously not both for my watch). I got this link band, my only complaint is it is a little heavy, but I have seen lighter ones I would consider. I got this leather one and love it. I wanted a learther band without the contrasting thread so this one was perfect. Like any leather band, it is definitely a bit deformed around where it buckles together, but you can only see it when not wearing it and it looks great the rest of the time. Next leather band I would probably look for a padded one though.

u/naxir · 2 pointsr/AndroidWear

I have a Huawei Watch 2 Sport and Classic, they're both great. Awesome battery life (I don't think I've ended a day with less than 50%) and they have all of the extras you might want. If you get the Classic, I highly recommend this band, it looks great and is very comfortable (no pulled hairs.)

u/citypanda · 2 pointsr/AndroidWear

I have never bought any link bracelets, but in my experience with other bands and adapters (even made by Apple) nothing ever exactly matches the color of the space gray watch. But, the bands and adapters still looks fine. Not sure if you will ever find a perfect color match.

I've been looking at maybe buying one of these since they’re around $30 and I can justify that price because I probably won't wear it everyday:

u/mcorybennett · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I bought one of these Oittm Metal Link Bracelet bands that I use as a dressier option. With aluminum, you should be good. I have a stainless steel series 3 and if I’m not careful, the connector for the band will mark the watch case. Because the band is more rigid than others I own and to avoid marking up the watch case, you should slide both sides in at the same time. Works pretty well and it’s a dressier band, if the metal links is your style.

u/truckerslife · 2 pointsr/wearables

I’m going to recommend the Apple Watch.

I’m a truck driver and use mine pretty well consistently. Works amazing for everything you listed. I even use mine to track my sleep patterns and how well I sleep at night.

I typically charge it for a bit during the day. It stays up around 2 daysish. Depending on how much I use it

I recommend this band

I use a 38 because when I bought mine the store didn’t have any 42. But it’s a decent size.

This band protects the face fairly well. I do work with my watch on so I wanted it to have a bit of protection if something came in on it.

u/modeless · 2 pointsr/pebble

I got a silicone band from GadgetWraps and I'm happy with it. It's slightly harder to put on than the original leather but it's waterproof, much more durable, and I think looks as good if not better. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D1XDFLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I absolutely love the SS black! The band that came with it is black on the part that goes into the watch:

https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ4N2ZM/A/42mm-black-sport-band-s-m-m-l

I got this from Amazon which is awesome and saved me $520 from the black Apple link band. Is it 100% the same? No, but you can't beat it for the price:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018CMHDMK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is another one I got from Amazon and the finish matches the SS black PERFECTLY. It, however, is a little too thick for my liking:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPR454R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This last one is one I'm eyeing from Apple. A little different in style from my norm, but I really like it:

https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQVR2AM/A/42mm-black-striped-woven-nylon

This is probably a longer answer than you wanted, but all four of these are black where the band enters the watch.

u/cebailey · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I can speak about my experience with my Space Black 42mm watch, but I’d imagine this to be similar for you. I wanted the look of the Apple bracelet with horizontal links. I tried the KADES one from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/KADES-Stainless-Bracelet-Compatible-Butterfly/dp/B019IO4TTG ) and had issues with one of the non-detachable links detaching. I tried an EOSO bracelet ( http://www.eoso.org/apple-watch-band-c-109/ ) and it was better, but surprisingly inflexible.

I bout an Apple bracelet, and the quality difference was night and day. Not only was it way better than the knockoffs, but it’s definitely my favorite watch bracelet ever, after having worn several Seikos, and a few Omegas and other nicer watches.

Here’s the trick: if you’re willing to be a bit patient, you can find open box and/or scratch-and-dent bracelets from China on eBay for about $150. I bought a space black one with a tiny scratch on one lug for about that price, and I’m glad I did. Many of the higher quality knockoffs or third party options are in the $50-80 range anyway, so it’s not that much of a stretch to get up to a price where an OEM bracelet makes sense.

I have some other OEM and knockoff bands, and with the sport loops I can’t really tell a difference. But the Apple bracelet is absolutely a big step up from any third party bracelet.

u/510Threaded · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I was debating on this one

u/Dardzel · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

The clip gives you a host of options. https://www.amazon.com/Clipi-Spring-Accessory-Apple-Watch/dp/B077ZGWDQ7

You could clip it to a bra strap, you could clip to the inside or outside of the waist band of your skirt or pants. You could clip it inside your shirt, attache to the back side of a belt or attach to an undergarment, like tights. If you’re willing to do a little sewing you could attach a small pouch, just big enough for the watch without the band, that can be sewn just about anywhere inside a garment. Velcro attachment points would facilitate moving the pouch to different garments. Just a few ideas, after brain storming with friends. Hope you get it sorted to your benefit.

u/TheWillyBandit · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Unsure if it was suggested but take the strap off and put it down your bra. Probably the outside of the cup, would work best. Try it around where you live doing little tasks to see if it stays in place, and tracks steps. I guess putting it in the middle would make it more likely to move and/or fall out.

A man giving a woman advice on the best place to put an Apple Watch in her bra. This is the weirdest thing.

It's one I designed with Watchmaker, Tasker, SharpTools (SmartThings integration with Tasker), and a few other Tasker Addons. It also pulls information via the DarkSky dev API (weather) and Google API (location) via Tasker, takes it all in, turns them into Watchmaker variables, sends them to Watchmaker and then the watch.

It is definitely not a upload and go watchface.

Here is the band: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MDSGXL I love NATO bands, even though this one is only "Nato Style". I have thought about getting a real NATO band, and cutting a hole in it but I doubt it will allow the HR sensor to function.

I just received the MOKO stainless link band in Space Grey -

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JP6FU78/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I chose this one because it seemed that most other sellers/makers offer a black option but not a grey option. It's not a perfect match, but I don't really notice it unless I look really close. Might prefer black now that I try it out.

Here are a couple photos of it on my arm. It's immediately clear that the build is NOT the same as the Apple version (at $23 vs $550 I would expect as much) and that's mostly visible in the different clasp and the larger gaps betwen links. Particularly at the end links the gap is significant and a bit distracting. It's a little tight on my wrist in this photo, I may insert one more link and see if that relaxes the gaps a little bit.

I also notice there are 3 "ripples" on the lugs where they attach to the watch. Artifacts of the lug mechanism construction, I'm sure.

In any case, I think it's plenty "solid" in its build, but it's not perfect. The Apple version is a much more complicated and tightly machined piece of work to make such a flawless and clean look, but if you just want something that looks and feels similar, to dress up your watch a bit, it's probably perfectly fine.

http://imgur.com/qcXlNuE

http://imgur.com/u2qAKH1

EDIT: I'm looking on Amazon and noticing that there appear to be two different MOKO versions of this band, mine has a much simpler clasp that doesn't look at all like the Apple clasp, but there is another one that's $2 more which has a clasp design much closer to Apple's. I'd definitely lean toward that one if you're inclined to get one of these.

u/CaptainAwesome06 · 1 pointr/GalaxyGear

I bought this metal bracelet and this leather strap. The brown leather looks great with the stainless watch. Also, both came with the quick release pins. The leather band fits great on my large wrist. Usually I'm at the last one or two holes on a leather strap. I'm right in the middle on this one. You'll need to remove some links on the metal bracelet unless you have giant wrists. I removed 2 or 3 of them. Any watch store can do this. Or you can do what I did and buy a watch repair kit.

The gold details on the band you linked might match well with the ZW3, hard to say... I like simpler looking bands, probably gonna buy this soon as I get my shipping notice:

A few months ago they had it in a titanium grey color as well, but I think black would work better with the black/gunmetal ZW3 anyway, it's also come down in price (used to be around $40).

I'm curious to try some of the mock NATO 2-piece nylon straps I've been seeing on Amazon but I'm not sure what color would look good with the ZW3, and I already have the ASUS silicon/rubber band for outdoor activities anyway... Plus the leather Kartice.

I might go look at the leather bands at Worn & Wound, I bought one from there for my original 360 made of Horween Chromexcel (very different than the stock 360 band) and I really liked it a lot, pricier but the difference in quality was obvious. The Kartice is holding up OK tho.

As of writing this, I only really know of the official band and some of the 3rd party Milanese Loop ones that fit me. Though my official one fits me better, I really need to inch the Milanese Loop one up my hand to wear it.

Seems the struggle is real but the adapters previously mentioned do make it easier to use bands not normally made for the Apple Watch. If you're able to find some bands that work well with your wrist.

I'm slowly finding a collection of bands I can use and looking for something close to this band, because you can add more links to it.
