I use a Stanley tool organizer for my Commander stuff. I recommend going to Home Depot and finding one! The Professor actually did a video on it and I tried it out and am loving it so far! It’s super convenient for me, especially since I don’t have individual deck boxes for all my decks.

Edit: Heres a link to the Professors video I mentioned. There’s a few other ideas in there you might be interested in as well!

u/Seattlepowderhound · 16 pointsr/Gloomhaven

I'd suggest for him to use Gloomhaven helper on a laptop or ipad etc. It completely removes the ability cards and monster inserts. The wood organizers are super nice but if you're poor like me this will do in a pinch https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWST17805-TSTAK-Organizer-Clear/dp/B00CBY2E6G/ref=pd_cp_469_2?pd_rd_w=RcOW0&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=WQXADKR0V14JBNF83EKA&pd_rd_r=8ab491a6-0f43-42c2-b365-77e394207e0d&pd_rd_wg=RCPIt&pd_rd_i=B00CBY2E6G&psc=1&refRID=WQXADKR0V14JBNF83EKA . I took a sharpy and wrote down categories(Multi tile obstacles, Undead, elementals etc). I still leave mine up and the wife is still mad but in THEORY i could take it down haha.

May I suggest toolboxes to others out there. Can be found at local hardware stores and come with removable containers that can be removed for easy token access while playing. They come in different sizes and Depths so search what works for you.

Have you looked at portable tool boxes? That's what I use for my nail supplies so I can go to my clients house to do their nails. And I know some makeup artists use them when they travel for events as well.

I linked a couple that might be better suited for makeup. There are literally hundreds of different designs though. Maybe you can find something to work for you there? 1 2 3

I don't care what anyone else says. This will always be the best piece of gear for the run&gun shooter

u/phantom_poo · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

When I was in high school, a lot of the art classes would require this type of toolbox. They're actually very small and don't hold much in the way of makeups, but I love how they pop out so everything's accessible without having to rifle through drawers/look for your stuff. I don't actually keep makeup in these, mostly tools....because tools. It's basically a less pretty, sturdier version of the caboodles train case.

My makeup (er...the stuff that I use, at least) is in one of these puppies. Doesn't travel well, but great if you have a dedicated spot for it.

When I am a big girl with my own non-dinky apartment, though, I hope to own one of these. Filled with makeup, of course. Also...like...everything from the Container Store....

Honestly, it's probably one of the top 5 shitiest jobs to do on an XJ. Not because it's hard but because it's so tedious.

Buy a compartmentalized project tray and a couple sheets of dot stickers.

Also a liberal application of foam tape so you don't regret being born after putting everything together.

Looks frickin sweet dude. I am very jealous. I feel obligated to share the tool box drawer liner I recently got, has been performing well at a good price.

did some research against 5 gallon buckets as a food storage. We already use mylar bags and only getting 3 or 4 bags per bucket is not cheap.

what does everyone think of as an alternative. it is not food grade but it is BPA free and locks "weathertight"

There was this toolbox offered by Amazon but the thing that finally sold me on the Trusco was that it came with the option of casters. That and the blue color and retro surface detailing. Casters make a huge difference when you need to move a toolbox around your workbench.

I guess that is more endorsement for the nail polish racks and the booth. I have a little toolbox drawer thing and spare stuff in one of the big plastic cabinets you can see there. I have a wheeled stool and I can spin pretty effectively in a U and reach most everything.

When I put things away (This is a mostly theoretical idea) its very neat and I can even fold the tables away.

Pricy, but durable. I know people who still use a 40-50 year old Kennedy cantilever box. Thick steel, awesome textured finish, great design. It will last a lifetime.

Try raising Zophobas morio (Superworms) yourself. Its fun and interesting. You can raise them in plastic shoe boxes or plastic sweater boxes depending on how many you want. Use a mix of rolled oats, wheat bran, fortified baby rice cereal as their food and bedding. You supplement that with ground up dried peas, beans, bone meal and dog food. Use carrots and sweet potatoes/Yams for a moisture source. I also used to give them some fresh greens/lettuce/oak leaves to climb on and eat, just enough they can eat in a few hours. You get healthier, higher quality worms than from a commercial worm farm.

Superworms have to be isolated from each other before they will pupate and mature into beetles. Use those cases with little squares to sort screws or craft beads or items(similar to this ). You should pupate at least 40 or 50 beetles for small bedding boxes and more for larger. Once beetles emerge let them turn completely black before you put them together with other beetles. Offer them carrot, orange or similar for moisture. The first batch give them 10 or 12 days to mate and lay eggs in bedding material then rotate the beetles to new bedding boxes for 5 to 7 days to lay eggs. You need to keep rotating the mated beetles to new beds at least once a week. If they remain too long in the bedding they will eat their own eggs and when the eggs hatch the larva will eventually start eating the feet/legs on the beetles. When you do your second generation of beetles from your own worms raised on a higher quality diet you'll see a much higher level of fertility.

I used to raise them and a few species of tropical leaf litter roaches as feeders for my tarantula collection. Much better alternatives to crickets(crickets stink, are filthy and are loud). Raising feeders yourself ensures safe and much higher quality food for your pet/livestock.

This is what I used. It's obviously way more than you'll ever need.

u/theholyraptor · 2 pointsr/Catan

I use this for Catan and a few other games. I just wish the base were a little bigger so I could fit some game boards inside as well. (I have Agricola, Power Grid and all of Catan except Explorers and Pirates in here (with 5-6 player expansion.)

It's rebranded by Husky and sold at Home Depot.

u/Drunken_Economist · 2 pointsr/DnD

I have a big rolling tool chest like this one that lets me pack up all the books (10 in total), player binders, dungeon tiles, campaign notebooks, giant minis, pens, etc easily, and then a few Sortismo T-series organizers for minis. Luckily we almost always play at my house, so it's just moving stuff from storage to the gaming table. We've played elsewhere a few times though and I found that my setup was portable enough to work.

u/rabbiabe · 2 pointsr/diypedals

I’m also new to the game and I’ve found tayda to be a much more accessible site than Mouser — I get overwhelmed by the apparently galactic selection and can’t figure out what to get.

Also u/preppyprepface had really important advice— don’t skimp on your stock. I had to go back to tayda almost immediately and order a bunch more stuff because I initially ordered exactly what I needed for a specific PCB and then got really excited about other potential projects, and the shipping takes a while (weirdly, at a certain point if you order enough it comes DHL from Thailand which for some reason is faster than however they ship from Colorado. Who understands these things?). The most important thing to remember is that things will get screwed up — last week I ruined a 3PDT and shorted an LED and it was great to just reach into the bin for another one and keep chugging. Resistors in particular are so cheap that you can’t even buy less than 10 at a time (10 resistors = $0.12 so it makes sense)

You’ll also want a way to keep things organized — I bought this and this and these. In retrospect I wish I had bought two of the first one, but they’re all useful. Some of the bin walls are removable so you can make different size spaces for different kinds of parts. I then used regular sticky labels (Avery 5160) to label the outside so I could see what went where — for the smaller parts like resistors and capacitors I grouped them, so all the x10kΩ resistors went in one bin (in their little ziploc bags), all the x100kΩ in another bin, etc. it still requires some fishing through (vs buying a big table top organizer) but I live in a small house :)

Start by helping her get all the jewellery out and sort it into whatever categories make sense to her.

Then you will know what she needs to make it easier to select. If she has some stuff that's very seasonal it could be kept in one spot, and the things she wears the most together in one.

Get away from looking for something labelled for jewellery and think about storage for "lots of little stuff"

If she really has a TON of stuff, something with shallow drawers that could hold all those little boxes (tops off) in one layer so things are visible. Like an art supply cabinet or paper organizer.

ADDING: Don't forget tool bin drawers like this:

u/cyberlink420 · 2 pointsr/Legodimensions

Most do. A few figures had to be made to sit down on their tags instead to fit in the small slots, with some minifigs that hold bigger accessories like the Wicked Witch having to sit in the slots I normally reserve for vehicles. Some of the wider or taller vehicles needed to be made to fit, either by folding certain pieces like the Invisible Jet's fins to make it more compact, or a few instances where actual deconstruction was involved, like taking the Samurai Mech off its post because it was too tall or putting the Eagle Interceptor next to its tag because the slots weren't deep enough. I barely managed to fit all the figures from Wave 1-7 into four cases, but you'll have to double up in a lot of slots to make it happen. They do make deeper containers, but they're really only helpful for the big vehicles, and aren't exactly ideal for the smaller ones or for minifigs.

There are boxes you can buy in hardware stores, with lots of seperate trays. They are supposed to use for screws and things like that, but those are great for minis!

I asked because I’ve been struggling with miniatures from boardgames (Massive Darkness, Zombicide and Load as of now, ~400 miniatures). This week I finally found a solution in these things from Stanley (3x the Junior, 1x of the other) [Italian Amazon link, sry]. You can stuck and lock them and they feel very sturdy, while being extremely cheap (18€ and 7€).

Not 100% sure what to tell you. When I clicked that link it brought up the same one I bought, for $20.

I need a better place for screw boxes, hammer, rolls of velcro, staple gun, some pliers, wrenches, hand screwdrivers, etc. I'm looking for something like this, or this, but more durable.

I have a case for my circular saw and drills already. This is mostly for hand tools and miscellaneous tools.

u/schneems · 1 pointr/woodworking

I used the tstak from dewalt. My favorite is the one with two small pull out drawers https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWST17804-Double-Shallow-Drawers/dp/B00BPI1TWO/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1485439659&sr=1-1&keywords=tstak however it's much more expensive than the one drawer unit. I did some shopping around and didn't see any other modular systainers with pull out drawers for a better price. I figured that even if I wasn't happy with the base, the systainer drawers were nice and I could use them for organizing other things. So far i'm very happy with them. Would love to hear if you can find a better deal or another unit that works better for your situation.

I have a few items from this set - great way to organize, store, and transport most of the items - the only thing that won't work is the game board - and it's not to much trouble to get a paper or laminated alternative. Seriously, just find yourself a laptop backpack you like and get a toolbox like this that fits in the main compartment.

You'll never find anything that's a good mix of both, so get a great one for one purpose and compromise with the other. This has the added benefit of being able to just grab the tools and leave the backpack.

And I use it as a stepladder all the time. It says right on the box "Do not stand or sit" but it holds my 210lbs just fine. Besides being a step stool, its a really awesome rolling toolbox in general.

How detailed of an answer would you like? I have a good kit but I’m only on-call contract maintenance. I carry the basics and I try to have tools that serve multiple purposes just for ease of moving around.

Best tool of the bunch is my carry toolbox. Feels like it should cost twice as much.

u/myusernameisunique02 · 1 pointr/Tools

Yea, I wasn't sure if the soft case would be sufficient. It actually fits perfectly into the TSTAK II, and has space for maybe a few bit sets.

For small parts, I actually picked up one of these new for $5. The only downside is that it doesn't stack with the TSTAK, but this one does. I agree that the drawers are most appealing (I probably don't need the deep box as of yet, unless I make some crazy custom inlays). The downside with them is that because of the way they are designed, you NEED to have them sitting on either custom feet, or another TSTAK box since the weight is put onto 4 small feet on the bottom and results in the bottom of each unit bending upwards resulting in the drawers not working. Not sure if having a wheeled base is really necessary for home/apartment use though, or if it might be a welcome mobility thing?

That's true about the customization. I was actually thinking about making some sort of inlay for the TSTAK I for holding all the misc tools (pliers, level, etc.), but once again didn't know if maybe the drawers would be a better option.

I currently have a 28 bottle wineador that's approaching max and a small 120 count desktop that's full and I bought A 4 pack of IRIS Weathertight Heavy Duty Storage Tote, 21.8-Gallon to store boxes in. The first iris box is approaching full or "advanced tetris required" status and I'm going to start on a second one for long term aging. I'm glad I picked up the 4 pack just so I have plenty of space for the future until I get the walk in.

TBH, sometimes I think I like the collecting as much as the smoking.

u/ickybus · 1 pointr/Tools

I use one of these. The compartments are more sized for bits, so it's not as much wasted space, and less likely to break apart. Also, two of them fit into my makita drill/driver case (other one for spade bits).

What is FLT?
