Want to get into airbrushing but not sure which kit to get - was hoping someone could recommend one to me

So far I'm interested in these two

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001TO578Q/?coliid=I1SXGU2NC07752&colid=R7SNPP6EN7WU&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071J4M3X6/?coliid=I1XQMNT8SQI7FQ&colid=R7SNPP6EN7WU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Also wanted to get this airbrush booth and was wondering how frequently I would have to change filters and how difficult it is to do so (ie. is it easy to find replacement filters and is it difficult to take apart and put back in)

I have this ;
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LO4PKY2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fazJAbW8RM6N1

And this as a spray booth;
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06Y3SB4YL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ibzJAbHKWA7CZ

If you're spraying acrylics then you don't need much ventilation. I actually don't put these hose on my booth, I just like the dust filter to catch the stray paint.

But it doesn't hurt to open the window occasionally :)

Want to look for a Iwata to badger adapter because the G22 is a chinese clone of an Iwata product. Maybe this might work for you?

u/windupmonkeys · 3 pointsr/modelmakers

If you have the means, I'd say get a good air rig and a cheap chinese made airbrush from Amazon to see if it's for you.

I'm currently doing the opposite; because of what someone else said on another thread, I'm building a 1/72 BF-109E4 using nothing but brushes to see just how difficult it is to get it right when you don't have more advanced tools.

The only concession I made to that build was that I sprayed it with a coat of primer on all parts. (I assume that pretty much anyone can get ahold of some Krylon or spray primer, and I know the paint I'm using has severe adhesion issues, so if I didn't even low tack masking tape would lift paint), and plan to use a coat of flat when I'm done.

This is the one I use: http://www.amazon.com/0-3mm-Gravity-Dual-Action-Airbrush-Paint/dp/B005H3FMBW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1394566734&sr=8-7&keywords=master+airbrush

It's perfectly serviceable, and cheap. I can tell you that swapping to "spray primer/flat coat" only has largely shown that you can get good results (assuming it's not German mottled camo), but it takes a lot longer, requires multiple carefully controlled coats, and paint quality matters a lot more. Certain paints are just much harder to brush than others.

If you do get that cheap airbrush, you MUST keep it clean, and strip the head each and every time you use it if you don't want constant jamming issues. Even then, it will probably be more of a pain to use than the average. I would also recommend (regardless of what you get ) gravity feed over siphon feed, because they require lower operating pressures, which allows more control.

u/[deleted] · 3 pointsr/Warhammer

Indeed! Came here to say this.

For what it's worth, I actually have the same Air Compressor, and while it basically works right out of the box (I haven't had to empty the water-catch yet), I will say: be careful of overheating. I'm not sure if it's just mine being defective or what, but I worry about it's lifetime if I'm spraying for long periods of time. They get especially hot because they are oil-less motors (which are good things for precision work -- less contamination). I keep the pressure at 20-40 psi, depending on the fluidity and area I'm working on.

Also, though it's mentioned in neutronicus's link, I urge you to buy these things: small pipe-cleaners (nylon most likely, you can get them at pipe shops or Harbor Freight, and get ones with varying bristle sizes)[EDIT]These ones -- comments indicate others disagree, but it's a cheap solution, and it's worked for me., simple green and strong q-tips for cleaning the airbrush, and Windex or a comparable solution to dilute the paints you spray with (some people just use isopropyl alcohol and some just use water, I've only tried Windex).

And finally! Clean your airbrush after every use! It's odd at first, but I've come to find it as a relaxing task after airbrushing.

I’m running pretty much the same rig. Got a 26 Gallon Quiet Compressor (Kobalt) and a set of harbor freight guns. I’m spraying inside my shop using this spray tent. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011L3DVVO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_0-ITBb7967E6B). I also run a JET air filtration system in the shop before and during spraying. It does a great job of keeping the dust down.

Great job on the flake too. Flake is pretty hard to get it to go straight to the buffer. I usually put enough to bury the flake then level sand with 600, spray a top coat, then can take it right to the buffer. I did a purple flake bass recently with a metallic purple base. Came out really nice.

Does your son already have a minipainting setup and you're looking to give them something to add to that, or are they new and getting into the hobby?

Re-read your post and realized I spaced out and missed the part that you have given them a mini to paint in the past.

Do they have an airbrush? An airbrush set would be a very nice gift to a painter that doesn't have one and has probably been considering it but put off because of the cost of getting one.

This one is quite cheap and portable. which could be good since they're going off to college. It's a very basic set good for beginners. The compressor has no tank, so some people people turn their nose up at it because it's not perfect but I think it works fine for a portable option. I have this exact same one and I'm very happy with it because I don't paint vehicles or big warhammer armies - I paint 3-5 minis a month and use this to base, layer, and varnish with and you don't need fine-tuning air regulators to throw down some primer.

Alternatively, here's a less portable set with a full size air compressor, tank & regulator combo. Very good price and if your son gets more into airbrushing and later upgrades to a nicer high-end airbrush, they won't have to upgrade from the mini compressor as this tank and compressor as this one should do just fine with any brush.

If your son already has an airbrush set up, they might appreciate a spray booth.

I don't know what your budget is, but's here something any minipainter would love to have orbital shaker paint mixer for agitating paints without wearing out your elbow. Its definitely a luxury item lots of minipainters wish they could have (I know I wish I could afford one!)

This kit connected my masters compressor to both a paashe and badger airbrush.

u/IckyOutlaw · 3 pointsr/modelmakers

The as-186 compressors can be found for around 80 euro. Brand isn't really important since they are all the same with different brand stickers. What country do you live in?

Edit: I see you speak German in /r/de, so I guess you live in Germany. This set should be pretty decent for the price. Or buy that same compressor by itself with a cheaper airbrush from a well known brand like the Harder and Steenbeck Ultra.

u/millerhkl · 2 pointsr/Gunpla

Since you have a Harbor Freight near you, if you don't care about noise, then this post from awhile back is still relevant for your budget. If you live in an apartment and/or noise matters, then cheap Master airbrush sets are your best bet.

If you want to build a ghetto spray booth AND care about your health, this guide is a good read. Otherwise, Master Portable Booths get the job done, though they seem to be a lot more expensive now than they were a couple months ago (~$60-$70 with shipping). If you can get them cheap, they are very portable when folded up, which is great for storage in an apartment and travelling to gunpla builder get-togethers. But they are basically high power computer fans with a power supply, basic fiberglass filters, and a plastic housing, which can be DIY for less.

edit: NEOs are good but sometimes if you are patient, you can get a significantly better brush for less. Some good ones are:

  • Sparmax sp35
  • Badger Patriot 105
  • Iwata Revolution HP BR

There are some caveats with each of these, such as not having extra nozzles of different sizes, or not having good local suppliers for replacement parts. On that note, if you buy off of Craigslist, you should try to get as much of a discount as possible, even if it still looks "brand new." If it breaks down on you right away, depending on how difficult it is to procure replacement parts, you might as well have bought a brand new brush to begin with. But sometimes you can get a really good deal.

It's also not a bad idea to start off cheap to see if you enjoy airbrushing, have a feasible set up for it, AND have the time for it to make it worth your while. From a cheap brush like a NEO or a Master kit, you can incrementally upgrade brush, compressor, accessories for the most part, so long as you can find the right adapters for the various air tool fittings. Old or "bad" brushes can still be good for laying down primer or basecoats that are harder to mess up, while reserving the better brushes for shading and detail work.
u/Hvstle · 2 pointsr/Airbrushing

I think it's cool you want to pick up a hobby your father had. It will be a nice reminder every time you pick up the gun.

I use this 100% for miniatures, and it works great!!

Alright, here is the list I bought. It's a bit more than you want to spend, but this will ensure you can get going right away, and not be frustrated. I did a fair amount of research on different forums, sites, and youtube videos. If you want to know why I chose something, feel free to ask. I was going to bold the ones that you absolutely need, but I would say everything in the first set are a must.

u/Merendino · 2 pointsr/minipainting

>1: You say you use Vallejo paints, what is the reason for using that brand, Cost? Quality?

Boils down to really just two things.... the model air/game air paints are pre-thinned for airbrushing which is super handy, especially when starting out, and two, dropper bottles are infinitely better for airbrush work than those stupid-ass paint pots GW makes. I have LOTS of GW paints as they are amazing paints. (expensive, but amazing) Typically i brush paint with GW and airbrush with Vallejo.

>2: For some reason, that airbrush costs nearly 60 pounds :D (i live in the UK, if you hadnt guessed!) if i were to get that specific airbrush, what else would i need to make it work, you mention an Air Compressor (brand? type?) and a Water Trap (whats the purpose of that - as i say, bit of a noob here!), what else, some sort of Hose to connect the compressor to the brush i assume? any cleaning supplies? which specific paints do you use?

WTF?! That airbrush is 60 fuckin pounds in the UK. Shit. At any rate, ANY TANK compressor will work. A tank compressor compresses air into a giant tank that is THEN let out of the tank through the brush, which allows for smooth flow. If it were an air compressor without a tank then it would "putt, putt, putt air out." which is deadly for airbrush work. You want smooth constant air flow.

Airbrush to Compressor Hose

Water trap for air compressors Note: these aren't 100% necessary for a larger tank air compressor as the large tank somewhat does exactly what this little guy does. These are usually only necessary for a compressor that isn't a tank fed. Moisture through condensed air is a real problem and if it gets into your paint, it'll fuck up your smoothness of airbrushing.

My exact compressor, which can be used for LOTS of things, not just airbrushing. Note: the only downside to these types of compressor is how goddamned loud they are. Pretty much HAVE to be used outdoors.

I connect the airbrush to the hose i linked earlier. I connect that hose to the water trap i linked earlier. I connect the water trap to a standard thick cheap air compressor hose. I connect the cheap air compressor hose to the air compressor.

I assure you it's FAR less complicated than it seems. That masters brush i linked you earlier comes with a 'quick release' that is STUPID handy. It connects to the airbrush hose (the blue-ish one linked) really quickly.

I use pretty much exclusively Vallejo Air paints.

Model Air Standard Colors

Model Air Range

Game Air Range

Only difference between game and model air ranges is the color vibrance and ability to be touched repeatedly and not wear off. (should not be a problem at all if you varnish your models though). Game air colors are generally formulated to mimic the GW range as well.

The only difference between Game and Model vs Game Air/Model Air is that the Air versions of them are pre-thinned and ready to shoot through an airbrush straight outta the bottle. You can buy almost any of those colors individually from amazon.

Also, Airbrush Guru is THE best resource I've seen on the subject. TON of helpful tips and tricks. Great in-depth reviews of noob friendly airbrushes and how to clean them. Most of the things I've linked you to buy can be used for things OTHER than airbrushing. The reasons for that are they are cheap. Good airbrushes run for hundreds of dollars. Shitty ones that still work awesome are priced accordingly. Start small, then dive in from there.

Lastly but not in the very least... safety is king. DO NOT AIRBRUSH IN A CLOSED ROOM WITH NO VENTILATION.

Airbrushing acrylics is the safest of the paints to shoot through, but even they can get in your lungs and over time cause problems. If you are going to try to airbrush indoors make sure you setup a proper ventilation system or have in place a spray booth. Something like this would be fine.

P.S. This is incredibly handy as well, like, more handy than anything I've shown you so far. It is obviously NOT necessary, but once you start airbrushing I would guarantee you that it'll be the next thing you buy. Helps when you need to sit the airbrush down but you still have paint in the cup. Enjoy! Again, go to that website, The Airbrush Guru for the best information. It's fantastic, seriously.

How about this?

u/GoLightLady · 2 pointsr/airbrush

I have an Iwata and I really like it. It was the best for a beginner and would work well still as I get better. Plus it's easier to improve when the equipment isn't part of the problem.

This is the one:

Iwata Eclipse (ECL 4500) HP-CS Large Gravity Feed .35mm Airbrush with IS-35 Ninja Jet Studio Series Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003G84INS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6vieBb6G92EAD

It's range is 20 psi. Works best for doing miniatures and smallish sculpture.

And as far as cleaning... Buy a cheap cleaning kit, about $6. And cheap window wiper fluid for your car. It's the cheapest cleaning agent but is the same as the pricey stuff 'made for airbrush'. Learned this from an experienced airbrush artist. I paid $4 for a gallon.

Honestly that's all you need other than paint. I use Vallejo thinner, highly recommend.

Depending on what you're painting, I paint my polymer clay (plastic) sculptures and can recommend mediums if you are going that direction.

What's the difference between a cheapo one on amazon and a good one? I got one of those expensive ass michaels ones but never got it to cooperate. Meanwhile, I'm loving the cheapo one I got on amazon, and can hardly find anything I cant do with it.

maybe something a little more or less of this price range is what im willing to spend for my first airbrush.. I heard I need a compressor for this .. if someone can help me out that would be awesome.. what about the paint that comes with this as well? would that be good to use for a gunpla?

I have enjoyed this one so much that I bought a second airbrush after damaging (my fault) the first. I also have an Iawata Neo and I like this one better:

MASTER G22 Multi-purpose Airbrush Kit With Airbrush Depot Compressor and 24 color Set of Paints

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ATALCW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Edit: The paints look cheesy but work surprisingly well and dont clog as much as the Vallejo paints I use.

u/YammerEnt · 2 pointsr/minipainting

Get an airbrush. Nothing fancy is really needed, just something that works. I used a cheaper airbrush for a long time before I felt I needed an upgrade. I started with this brush: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KJK130/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this compressor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038D38AA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I still use that compressor, and now use this brush: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EB569ZY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

edit: I would also point out that this was my first model that I had even attempted this sort of shading on. It turned out well, but I got a lot of my inspiration and technique from this guy: https://youtu.be/ynW6ZOj3wuA

u/wind-raven · 2 pointsr/airbrush

If you don’t have a compressor already go with this kit as a starting point. There are other options of similar kits with more stuff, but this is as basic as I would go.

If you already have a compressor I got this one. There are other kits with different needle sizes for not much more if you want to go to that. For me, I figure if I want a different needle size I’ll be to the point of getting a better airbrush so I went with the single needle.

For paints I like Vallejo game air. The badger air paints are good on paper but on minies they are a bit thin on coverage.

u/Beck73 · 2 pointsr/airbrush

You typically do not want to take apart an airbrush too often because eventually those little threads on the parts (any parts) will get to where they wont thread back and parts that seal will stop making good seals.

That being said, I have an Iwata CR and I still will break it down completely every so often and give it a good cleaning, typically not the tip unless there is some bizarre issue I cannot resolve. Taking it off hasn’t made it ‘stop’ working before unless you do not get it back on correctly; however, it is not something I normally take off to clean.

If it is gunked up with acrylics, I would suggest taking it off and soaking it in some paint thinner - specifically something formulated for acrylic.

Also, if you haven’t already, get you a cheap set of airbrush brushes:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001N3IX3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6M3iDbKRWQ4RN

There are numerous Youtube videos showing how to use them as well. After cleaning your airbush you can use these and always get a ton of gunk out. I am not recommending this specific brand BTW. You can find these anywhere, even Harbor Freight for probably half price.

Edit: Couple other things I would like to add:

Make sure your paint is adequately thinned (always use Airbrush flow improver to thin acrylics).

Other thing, keep q-tips handy. If you see some build up on the tip of the nozzle after some spraying it is easy and more effective to use a wet q-tip in some thinner/alcohol/etc to quickly clean off any buildup and safer than your finger.

u/griff_the_unholy · 2 pointsr/minipainting

I picked up something very similar to this a little while ago:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01984G4SU/ref=sspa_mw_detail_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and one of these.

I set up my desk with cardboard sheets and news paper, and ware a respirator. with the window open. this setup works fine. it's just a bit of a pain to set up and pack up. I love using it and the results I get.

the iwata is pretty damn awesome, but the cheap brush that came with the compressor can do 95% of the job, so the iwata is kinda overkill when ur a beginner

u/rancor1223 · 2 pointsr/modelmakers

There really isn't anything like Iwata connector. Iwata uses ordinary 1/8" thread size. Sadly, it seems like Paasche doesn't use any standardizes size so you need to look for Paasche to 1/8" (something like this).

u/hellkite91 · 2 pointsr/Gunpla

Ordered a Badger Patriot 105 only to find out that the store was actually out of stock and didn't expect to get any more for another 3 weeks. Haven't found any other stores that have it in stock and I'm wary of Amazon's current preorder actually being available on schedule.

I figured if it's going to take a while to get a Badger Patriot 105, I could maybe buy a cheaper one to at least get my feet wet in regards to airbrushing, cuz like every other piece of painting equipment i bought for an airbrush setup arrived except for the airbrush itself. That said, I don't really know much about the cheaper quality airbrushes, so looking for testimonials from people that have tried using the cheaper ones like maybe this $20 master airbrush i found on amazon.

Also, wut can I do in the mean time to check that my compressor is working properly, just in case I need to return it to get a replacement?

u/delectabledu0 · 2 pointsr/Warhammer40k

This is the kit I got: https://www.amazon.ca/Gocheer-Precision-Airbrush-Painting-Decoration/dp/B07C8BRB57/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=airbrush+kit&qid=1562003673&s=gateway&sr=8-9

I fitted it up to my shop compressor, a bit overkill but you can regulate the pressure way way down so it works fine.

So still a work in progress. But I figured I would post up what I have so far. Had a catastrophic failure on the hands, broke the outer pieces that the fingers snap in to. Have some touch ups to do and stripping and repainting on the skirts in the works also. Still need to decal, top coat and panel line. But pretty happy with how things are turning out. I used cheap-ass Master airbrushes and a 3-gal shop compressor with a digital regulator and a moisture trap in between the compressor and the brush. The below, plus a few trips to a hardware store for pneumatic fittings, should be enough.

u/cheese61292 · 1 pointr/Gunpla

Some Compressor + Airbrush sets are good (like those from Pasche or Iwata) but it's all relative to your needs (as a good brush might not be good for Gunpla due to the scale) and what is offered.

There's actually a very good deal going on right now, as you can get a Paasche TG-3F with Compressor and all your needed accessories + Prime shipping (or free Super Saver shipping.)
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AI5ZJBW/

With this set you have all you need to functionally airbrush but you'll also want to pick up some needed "accessories" for you.

  • Respirator, at least a half mask - Local Hardware Store for best options
  • P100 Filters - same as above
  • Alligator Clips on Sticks - you can pick them up at Hardware or Hobby Stores locally as well
  • Foam Block to put the skewers into and hold up the parts while you paint. Local hobby store, or if you have the packaging material used to ship heavy electronics like TVs that would work as well.
  • Spray Booth, if you plan to spray inside at least http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2TESUQ/
  • Airbrush Lube, Iwata SuperLube or Badger Needle Juice
  • Cleaning Brushes, just part of your more in depth cleaning routine that you'll need to do. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001N3IX3Y

You will also want to pick up some glass jars (for storing & mixing paints) as well as some plastic pipes for more accurate paint measurements (makes the jars less messy as well.)

I highly suggest getting an easy to clean brand of paint like Vallejo Air to start with, so you can learn with less trouble as Vallejo can be cleaned up in an instant with Windex or water.

They make small painting tents exactly for this purpose. They allow airflow but not dust/leaves.

I own this one and like it.

I even did sanding in it this last winter on my deck with a small space heater inside.

Tbh, if they have neither, go the route I'm poking my wife to go for my birthday. Get a starter kit that has a good compressor but okay airbrush, if it were me I'd rather be given something I can start using right away, especially if they have little to no experience with air brush, you don't wanna give them a nice 150$+ airbrush and then them bend the needle or clog it in the learning stage and if they fall in love with airbrushing all they need to do is invest in the nice airbrush and not have to get a whole kit

EDIT:
Something kinda like this maybe? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0796M9QVJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rvtQDb7JMF4P2

Can I do that without the ultrasonic bath or would this cleaning kit work?

I've sprayed a lot of stuff through mine, But the best paint right out of the bottle i've tried is Vallejo air. It was easiest to start with in my opinion not wanting to fuss or try to get thinning right.

And I cant recommend an inline filter/water trap enough. I have a filter on the compressor and an inline next to the gun, really makes a difference on the end result

Reviews say this one is a knock off, but this is what they look like, any local hobby store should have em. or on tcpglobal.com

I have exactly this airbrush:
https://www.amazon.de/Timbertech-Airbrush-Set-Kompressor-Action-Airbrush-Pistole-Schlauch/dp/B00LO4PKY2
Try to Google Image Search to find a offer in your Country.

You can adjust the pressure and it has an auto-off if the pressure is reached.
It was the best Investment i ever did for the Hobby.

For pressure: i use around 30 psi for primers, 20 psi for basecoating and 10 psi for Details.

Check out the master airbrush stuff on amazon. They are cheap and this one comes with three airbrushes

VIVOHOME 110-120V Professional Airbrushing Paint System with 1/5 HP Air Compressor and 3 Airbrush Kits for Tattoo Makeup Shoes Cake Decoration Black ETL Certified https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0796M9QVJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_A.b2Db104BVWV

Try to avoid syphon fed brushes (ones with the jars on the bottom). They are pretty much only good for priming and even then they aren’t the best.

You’ll also want to get some thinner and flow improver.

Youre going to want to practice airbrushing dots, lines, fades, etc on card board or something first.

You’re also going to want to watch as many videos as possible. YouTube search next level painting, miniac, jack of clubs, etc. tons of information there.

I'm curious what everyone thinks of the Master Airbrush brand, link below. I've heard Iwata and Badger are the most popular, but I saw this set with a good review on Amazon.... thoughts?

I just went through this myself and am very happy with my purchases. This is a complete entry level set with the tools you will need to maintain it. Assuming you're US based, you could have everything Monday with Prime shipping.

  • Airbrush - $27 - This is a basic brush with the ability to change between 0.2, 0.3(most common), and 0.5mm tips. This gives you the flexibility to go from precise to blanket applications.

  • Compressor - $120 - I opted for a model with a tank to help regulate the air output. The compressor still ends up running most of the time during extended applications so I'm not sure how much it helps but I didn't want to take chances. You could save ~$40 by getting a model without a tank. You could always add a tank later if you feel the need.

  • Cleaner - $12 - You need this before you even think about starting. One cleaner seems about as good as another so pick whatever.

  • Tools - $7 - You will need to clean paint from the internals. Some of these brushes will work for that. There seems to be differing opinions in the community over how useful these are but I opted for them and use them every so often.

  • Cleaning Pot - $15 - You will need one for your station and everyone uses this one. Definitely spray the cleaner through into this.

  • Wash Bottle - $6 - 500 mL bottle you fill with water. This will allow you to rinse the pot at your station without having to go to a sink (though you still might use one often). Get a bucket or tupperware container to rinse into.

This will allow you to setup a bare-bones station. You could also get a fume hood or just spray into a box in a well ventilated room. Get a good white led light (if you don't have on already) to illuminate your workspace and you're good to go.

I had it slightly wrong. It's a female quick release tip, then male to male nipple, then regulator, then male to male adapter, then female to male adapter, then hose. I THINK all the fittings are 1/4", and the house adapter 1/8". I've also heard the threads on the hose aren't the US standard or something so make sure it fits on whatever adapter you find. Assuming you can get to a home depot, you can probably just show them this pic as well as bringing your compressor and hose in.

I run the compressor at about 60 psi, then fine tune with the second regulator.

I love the eclipse. It's basically the standard for a first non-cheap airbrush. It can spray both narrow and wide, and the large nozzle size can handle metallics and matte coats without clogging. The nozzle is very easy to damage irreparably if you're not careful. You can get a replacement at Hobby Lobby, but it'll be roughly 20 bucks with the coupon.

I bought the airbrush from Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupon, and it came with one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Iwata-Medea-Pistol-Grip-Moisture-Filter/dp/B000BQO8WY

It's second stage moisture trap but it also makes the airbrush more comfortable to hold. I don't think Amazon carries the pistol grip bundle. Not a necessity but I like it.
