Another reply already posted them.

Here's a better price:

http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Nac-Acetyl-Cysteine-600mg-Vcaps/dp/B0013OUQ3S/

Of course bulk powder will always be cheaper.

And I've never really heard of side effects, at least anything notable. Certainly nothing for me. You can probably find anecdotes here and there, but don't forget placebo has side effects. I'll totally submit that to TIL.

Found this browsing /r/all.

I was in a similar boat to you: sex with someone new was a mix of excitement, slight fear stemming from performance anxiety, and simply nervousness. I'm sure you can relate to the feelings of emasculation when a man can't be a "man" - we all know it's embarrassing to say the least!

I take adderall, which gives me a permanent dopamine boost all day, followed by a seemingly permanent deficiency at the end of the day and beyond; in addition, I'm exist in a state of "fight or flight" because of how adderall interacts with your systems and pumps adrenaline, always. My libido was absolutely shot and I had similar problems to you. I was getting pretty desperate. I tried a lot of stuff, did a lot of research, tried more things, but ultimately, most, if not all, of it went no where.

I found some forums after entering [ +"adderall" +"libido loss"] into Google (without the [ ]) and found a wealth of information after sorting through the shit. I'd searched before, had varied success, but this time was different - I took the time to dig, research, find, and learn!

Often users of prescription meds like adderall, opiates, or anti-depressants find that libido destruction is a primary side effect, an exceedingly common one; the good news, however, is that loads of dudes are fed up having the same problems and have taken their issues into their own hands - they guinea pigged their bodies, desperate for resolution! These dudes are basically martyrs, so bless them for their diligence and hard work!

The solutions I found were interesting.

I learned that people often take some combination of the following pills; for me, however, I just bought them all and have experimented with doses, frequency, and combinations.

  • DHEA

  • L-Arginine

  • Fish Oil

  • L-Theanine

Adderall also plays with my blood pressure and, with everything else, namely adrenaline, my extremities aren't getting the proper blood flow; since taking these supplements, I now wake up with erections again --something I didn't realize had stopped happening!-- and have erections hard enough to club a seal to death with.

These have been an absolute god-send for me.

If you don't happen to read this, then I hope this helps someone else.

Anytime. FYI, this Pygeum supplement seems to have a good concentration of the tree bark without any additives, so you don't have to worry about high doses. You can take 2-3 of them per day with no worries.

This Arginine supplement doesn't have B vitamins in it either.

The rest should be pretty easy to find in a supermarket without additives.

You need to buy some NAC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You should take 1g of it 15min before you pop your pills (or at the same time as your pills if you're impatient), then another 1g of NAC 3 hours later. One single $10-15 jar will last you over a year probably. This stuff directly prevents APA/acetominophen/paracetamol from turning into the hepatoxic metabolite it usually does. This is what's given for APAP overdose in the hospital, though they usually give WAY larger doses and usually via IV.

Here's enough for 125 days of opioid use for only like $17. If you're too lazy to even take this shit alongside your opioids you could easily CWE, then you kind of deserve your fate, no offense.

Why the FUCK wouldn't you CWE 30mg codeines man? You legit took 9 GRAMS of APAP yesterday. Do you think you just instantly die from that shit? It takes days and sometimes up to a week before going into proper liver failure, and it's pure torture every hour until that week is over.

u/derision · 5 pointsr/bodybuilding

For $40 you get 120 tabs of 625mg of creatine. That's 75g for $40, or $0.53 per gram.

Let's look at a decent product, ON's Creatine Monohydrate. http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Creatine-Powder-300g/dp/B002DYIZEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341848673&sr=8-1&keywords=on+creatine+monohydrate

This one is $37.79 for 2000g. Cheaper and you get WAY more. Less than $0.02 per gram.

Don't buy GNC shit.

You can buy Amino Acids without the added pre-workout extras. I opt for one that includes a bit of caffeine and replaced my coffee intake with it a few years ago. Grape is my fav flavor but I enjoy the taste of medicine...

What I buy (but obviously look around if you have diff needs): https://www.amazon.com/OPTIMUM-NUTRITION-ESSENTIAL-ENERGY-Extract/dp/B006R76WK2

As for being 30 @ EDC... same boat as you. Many naps. Substances make me super anxious as well. Had plenty of rolls with me and opted to party sober (no regrets). I am in better shape now and would love to go back and go hambone.

We also made sure to request / pay for a mini fridge in the hotel room. Stocked up on real groceries and power food. Can’t stress enough how much that helped compared to eating in food courts etc. But I was surprised by the quality of the food trucks @ EDC (not the snack bar tho).

Also for anxious feels you should check out CBD oil/edibles/etc. Helps me a lot with my brain just taking a chill pill so to speak. If I smoke weed, I usually freak out and think my heart is stopping. Adding CBD into the mix completely negates that and let’s me enjoy the ride. V happy I started using CBD. Would love to use it and roll all over the speedway.

Though I have not researched any potential side effects of combining CBD and MDMA specifically... CBD is shown to alter some liver enzymes which can change the way your body processes other things, so best to research and talk to someone before attempting!

Ex: CBD inhibits the liver enzyme that processes Adderall. Adderall has a high first pass rate (the % of dose that hits your body after being processed by your liver) of around 75%. So if you use CBD regularly your body might not filter out that other 25% resulting in more drugs into your bloodstream. Obviously that can have negative side effects.

Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor or anything just a 30yr old that eats Adderall and black holes on the internet

5g beta alanine

5g citrulline malate

200mg caffeine (I'm sure a powder would be cheaper, but these capsules break apart easily and are 200mg)

some kind of sweetener like Crystal Light powder

u/JimNaysium · 4 pointsr/Fitness

Sorry, the Beta Alanine is flavored [Fruit Fusion] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DYIZO4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) ....with 6g+ the Citrulline Malate can be a bit "tart"....but Im fine with it.

I actually have a full container of My Hyde PWO and I will occassionally add anoth 2g of that in...more so fo flavoring, but you can use MIO or 0cal Crystal Light...you just have to experiment a bit and see what works for you.

I wont take credit for this recipie either, I came across is via searching homemade pwo's in /r/supplements. Its a pretty bare bones recipie, but it works well for me, and at .75$ per Im good with that.

u/traintrue · 4 pointsr/ketogains

alright here goes my exhaustive list of stuff that goes into my preworkout! i love to research the stuff that works, and then experiment to see how effectively they work for me, especially on keto.

  1. 1 scoop of pre jym from bodybuilding.com - just because i don't want to add all those ingredients (good compared to most) on my own and it tastes pretty good (raspberry lemonade). it does, however, have 4g carbs per scoop - https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/jym/pre-jym.html

  2. 1/2 scoop of optimum nutrition hydrowhey protein powder (about 15g protein) - fast digesting preworkout protein seems more logical than just bcaas. keeps me satiated during my workout and seems to boost recovery times because i have the full gamut of proper amino acids in my bloodstream as exercise-induced insulin rises. turbo chocolate and chocolate peanut butter are my favorites. vanilla surprisingly sucks and gets very foamy - https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/platinum_hydrowhey.html

  3. 1 tsp curcumin powder from bulk supplements - expensive but 1kg lasts a long time - go to examine.com to see the dozens of benefits it has across the board. i use this to help alleviate my disc issues, but it feels great for workouts because it reduces inflammation everywhere, especially joints. you can get pills instead, but they're not as cost effective and i like to blend it into my shakes. MAKE SURE YOU PAIR IT WITH BIOPERINE (already in pre jym but super cheap anyway) OR GET THE BIO AVAILABLE TYPES. otherwise, only your gut will get the benefits -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GHY364A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

  4. 1 digestive enzyme pill - research has shown that such enzymes not only help with what you'd expect, digestion, but also boost muscle synthesis, immune system, reduce soreness, etc. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RH5K26I/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  5. 1 tbsp extra citrulline malate - because 1 scoop of pre-jym doesn't have the clinical dose of around 8g. research has shown that it reduces soreness and speeds up muscle repair. i believe it helps performance as well - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EYDJU50/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  6. EDIT: 1/2 tsp (not 2 tsp) extra beta alanine - because 1 scoop of pre-jym doesn't have enough. this stuff kinda acts like creatine, boosting the number of reps you can do. especially helpful on my high rep/speed days. great for crossfit types of workouts if you're into those. i like the tingly feeling as well - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EIO4I8E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  7. 1/2 tsp potassium citrate - i take electrolytes before and during my workouts -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENSA93S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  8. 1/16 tsp magnesium glycinate - one of the most bioavailable forms of mg and doesn't mess up your digestion -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F7OZJR8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  9. 1/2 tsp calcium citrate - Ca and Mg go well together in the body. also, multivitamins rarely hit the RDA for calcium -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8I5XPG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  10. 1/2 tsp pink salt - sodium! need lots of it because i sweat a lot - https://www.samsclub.com/sams/himalayan-pink-salt-5-lb-fine-grain/prod20131268.ip

  11. 1/4 tsp vitamin c - i take a lot of vit C to help with disc healing. collagen synthesis requires vit C. of course, great anti-oxidant, great for skin, etc. -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AYIM9Y8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  12. 1/2 tsp ALCAR - i supplement this mostly for the nootropic effect (boosts the brain and concentration), but it supposedly helps with fat breakdown and energy a little bit. i feel razor sharp concentrated during my workouts with this. also, it's just plain old good for the brain. -
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E7H96DY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

  13. 200 mg L-theanine - smooths out the jittery feeling from caffeine to provide more stable energy. also good before bed to get higher quality of sleep. -
    https://www.amazon.com/BulkSupplements-Pure-L-Theanine-Powder-grams/dp/B00E7GESLA/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492089341&sr=8-1&keywords=bulk%2Bl-theanine&th=1

  14. 100mg pill RALA - good for the nervous system and energy - https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Stabilized-R-Lipoic-BioEnhanced/dp/B000I4C19G/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492089382&sr=8-1&keywords=doctor%27s+best+rala

  15. 200mg coq10 - good for the heart, boosts energy a bit - https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Absorption-Bioperine-Supplement/dp/B00HRGN36S/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492089466&sr=8-2&keywords=doctor%27s%2Bbest%2Bcoenzyme%2Bq10&th=1

  16. 320mg saw palmetto extract pill - good for men's prostate health, keeps good testosterone high (instead of DHT), and for me, prevents the hairloss that creatine (i think) has induced. not just bs bro science, go to examine.com for research. i personally have regrown a lot of hair by taking 2-3 three of these a day for the last three months! - https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Palmetto-Softgels-Count/dp/B006RQ6TAG/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492092375&sr=8-1&keywords=doctor%27s+best+saw+palmetto

  17. 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder - keeps my digestion on track, prevents the indigestion i tend to get from MCT oil - https://www.amazon.com/Bulksupplements-Pure-Psyllium-Powder-grams/dp/B0100QRXOO/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1492092483&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=psyllium%2Bhusk%2Bpowder&th=1

  18. 10g MCT oil - i either use brain octane or miCkey T Eight because they are pure C-8 caprylic acid instead of blends of the crappier acids. definitely boosts energy during long workouts. careful, it tends to mess with your stomach if you don't ease into it. if you're good with coconut oil, you're probably good with this. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RUCHISS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  19. 100mg hyaluronic acid - helps with joints and skin. i have noticed my knee and elbow pain going away while taking this. skin complexion also improved. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00663G8WO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    currently experimenting with:

  20. clear muscle - i usually supplement HMB, but this is the newer liquid variant. its pricey, and i haven't noticed anything bad about it, but it's hard to say if it's working better than the much cheaper powdered HMB. studies are probably very biased, so i can't really trust them - https://www.amazon.com/MuscleTech-Advanced-Strength-Building-Capsules/dp/B00JQ3WXS4/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492094034&sr=8-1&keywords=clear+muscle

  21. phospha muscle - phosphatidic acid has shown some promise in studies, but again, probably biased research. also cannot tell yet, but i have seen some decent strength gains pairing this with clear muscle. we'll see! - https://www.amazon.com/MuscleTech-Phospha-Clinically-Phosphatidic-SoftGels/dp/B00UVAG1PM/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492094155&sr=8-1&keywords=phospha+muscle

phew! making this list made me realize how much time and effort i put into the trial and error of my preworkout. of course, i supplement a lot of this stuff with my other meals as well. as you can see, i'm very big on supplements, biohacking, and nootropics. i read up a lot on research in my spare time.
u/pepperconchobhar · 3 pointsr/carnivore

Here's the TMI version. (I wouldn't wish this on anybody and if it can help one person, I'll throw it all out there for everyone to see.)

Recipe:

2 Cups butter
1/2 Cup MCT oil
12 caps Butyrate
Glutamine (I don't remember how much. I weighed the butyrate powder then added the same amount of glutamine. So whatever that was.)

Gently warm butter and MCT oil in a sauce pan over low heat until the butter is barely melted. Allow to cool while stirring until the oil is less than 105*. Stir in powders. Immediately use while still warm.

How I did it:

  • Give a warm water enema to clear fecal matter
  • Wait as long as it takes for the bowels to calm down after that so they don't immediately act up upon insertion of the oil (this is when I'd warm the oil and mix it all together)
  • Deliver warm oil slowly so it doesn't get rejected
  • Hold as long as possible. (If that's all day, great. You can stop here.)
  • After the bowel movement where you lose the oil, clean up and give about 2 tablespoons of oil with an anal lube injector. (Whatever. It works. 2 for $5 off Amazon.)

Additional details that might be helpful:

  • I didn't take the supplements orally. Just direct application. In the study it only worked as far in as the butyrate and glutamine could reach directly so that's what I did. Don't think it would hurt, but in my case, it wasn't necessary. (Although I definitely see how this combination could be a real game-changer for the small intestine and I'd never object to taking them)
  • From what I understand according to the study, the butyrate and glutamine must have direct contact with the problem area. If your ulcerations are higher than mine, you may be able to find a colonic practitioner who'd be willing to help. I know they'll sometimes allow a person to bring in their own herbs or other additions for the high colonic. It would be expensive to do every day for up to a month, but it would be money well spent if it worked.
  • And it might not take a month. In the study it took up to a month, but the patients weren't eating carnivore. I really believe that this is why I responded so quickly. I was already on the right track and that area just needed a little push.

Here are the ones I bought:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AFEWDTQ/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E7TMONG/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Very good luck to anyone going through this. It's an agonizing pain that I empathize with deeply. That fistula was one of the worst things I've ever suffered. The fact that it went on for 18 freaking months absolutely broke me.

Final point: This treatment did only good for me but I have NO IDEA if there could be harm from this. No clue how these doses, delivered in this manner, impact the body. I only did it for about nine days, and I don't know if there could be damage from going longer. I do know that people take huge doses of glutamine (much more than I used) long-term without problems. I do know that people eat mass quantities of butter (a very good source of butyrate) every day for years without hurting themselves. I think that, at worst, it would be a harmless effort. But I can't guarantee anything.

And I always expelled the bulk of it within 15 minutes. So I don't know what would happen if a person held onto it for the day.

If anybody has any real knowledge to that point, I'd be grateful to hear it.

I'm just barely smart enough to be dangerous so don't trust me. Do your own homework and make an informed decision.

I started taking Myo-Inositol along with Vitex and NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) Powder back August last year. Before starting these, I had very painful heavy periods (needed multiple pads for full coverage) that would last from 10-15 days. I mix 1tsp of Inositol and 1/2 tsp of Vitex and NAC in a store bought smoothie like bolthouse farms Green Goodness or Naked juices. For the first few months I did this 2 times a day, then moved onto 1 time a day. My periods are down to 5-7 days, nowhere near has heavy and very little cramps and pain. I has helped me with evening out my moods as well, no more extreme symptoms of PMS.

u/Moobyghost · 3 pointsr/bipolar2

Me.

Late diagnosed BPII when I was 29. The next 8 years on lithium so I was stable and not trying to kill myself. Cannabis to try to increase mood enough to not weep all day long. Everything was hard. Everything was a struggle. Everything that went wrong was a tragedy. I learned about the effects of Adderall to bipolar brains after doing my own research. Then I provided all that to my pill shrink who said, "I don't feel like changing your meds and if i did i wouldn't try that." I asked him when he stopped being a real pill shrink and just became a script signer for a pay check. I took the ADHD test and it said I had ADHD. Found a new pill shrink and got put on 10mg x2 daily Adderall. That med has changed my life.

I am about to suck adderalls proverbial dick here for a second, but there are several issues with the drug that anyone on it needs to know, and if you are a man there can be some other scary symptoms too, but there are ways around everything i have learned and will be glad to share that info later if needed.

So everything is different. The first two months i got the euphoria. I was floating through the air. Hovering over the ground. No longer did I slog through oatmeal just to move or think. Now I was graceful.

I catch myself smiling all the time now. I sing in the car. I am social again. All the toxic negative shit my brain would do or say to me all day long to beat me, berate me, and stifle me is gone. Suicidal thoughts all day long are gone.

Thinking is clear. Actions are leveled. Energy is up. Food consumption is down. 22 pounds lost in 4 months on adderall.

I am a better me in every single way, but that is because I reigned it in. Adderall helped me to control my life, nay, LIVE my life now, but I had to get a handle on it too.

After feeling that euphoria that first month, I abused it a little too like some do. Take more than i needed. I parachuted it once. I ground it and tipped a joint with it. I was consuming it every way possible to see how it hit the brain.

It made me want to up the strength. DON'T. Make the adderall work for you, don't be a slave to it.

You may need to take some supplements on it. I recommend one to all, and the other if you are male and having... issues on it. Or female and just feel like your blood circulation is poor.

First: N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (NALT) Powder When Adderall is working it's basically burning up these two chemicals in your brain. You deplete yourself and you get low mood and irritability. Little bit of this one or twice a day in yogurt or water keeps mood up and irritability down. Works wonders.

Second: Nitric Oxide Supplement with L Arginine, Citrulline Malate, AAKG and Beet Root. Are you a male on Adderall who was suddenly shocked to find you got coke dick? Do you have minor ED symptoms now? Male or female do you have blue tinges of color around toes, fingers, and dick (if a lady, i don't know if any part of your privates will tinge blue, we need a females story to know), but what this is poor blood circulation. Adderal, for whatever fucking reason, slows down or tells the body you don't need as much Nitric Oxide in the body as you do. Low Nitric Oxide, bad blood for doing anything physical from working out, sex, sports, etc. You can get the three ingredients you need as powder supplements too, but I find it easier to take this one in the capsule form. That was the last thing added and so far has fixed the worst of the negative side effects. Everything is now functionally very close to normal and i will take it. lol. It is fascinating stuff really.

I have done sooooo much gorram research on this drug, these supplements, why and how adderall does what it does, etc. It is a miracle drug for bipolar and ADHD. Just know you have to stay in charge of it. Don't abuse it, take breaks when you can, or drop your second pill out of the day when you are good. I have many days where I take 20mg in morning and only 10 or less in afternoon using a pill splitter. Some days I never take the second pill.

I am happy your are going to at least try it and see what it can do for you. It saved my life. I was stable, but so low all the time, never did anything less i was dragged out by friends. I closed myself off from everyone and everything. Now.. I am a social butterfly, sort of, at least compared to old me.

In four short months I have gone from sitting in the dark all day everyday, to going out and about. I have gone to parties without panic attacks or leaving early. I have gone back to loud bars and enjoyed myself. I started putting myself out there sexually again (after adding the Nitric Oxide Supplement) and had the first hook up in a long, long time. I make plans now. I look forward to things. I forgot, before the pill, what it was like to have a brain without suicidal thoughts. (That comes at a cost if you are a gamer, but that is a whole 'nother story). I forgot what it was like to live. Every year i reluctantly lived was agony, and now, I got a match under me. Life is worth living and I am going to fucking enjoy some of it for a change.

As long as you control the adderall and not the other way round, it is a a miracle drug. It can also be a cold hearted mistress if you ignore any warning signs.

Don't ever bother with GNC. They're a complete rip-off.

This is the cheapest creatine I've ever found. Bulk Supplements often sell the cheapest supplements if you don't mind no flavors/pill forms.

50/50 is great odds, especially compared to alternative treatments. I couldn't find NAC in tablet form, or small capsule sizes, but if you find tablets you could try halving them with a pill cutter. I also found NAC in a powder form--I haven't tried it myself, but perhaps it's worth trying.

Try this: https://www.amazon.com/L-Citrulline-DL-Malate-BulkSupplements-Workout-Recovery/dp/B00EYDJTS8

Study 1: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21195829

Another study that...I can't make heads or tails of, but you might: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/andr.12293

L-Citrulline is a NO2 booster and a vascular dilator (increases the flexiblity of the vascular walls). While this won't help with your diabetes, it *might* *maybe* help *delay* the onset of diabetic heuropathy. Which BTW, will really hurt your erections.

>She doesn’t understand it’s not my fault.

And:

>Other factors, I’m diabetic and not very active. I smoke way too much. In a nutshell I could be healthier. But with my busy lifestyle this is an easy fix.

If by "diabetic" you mean type II, then it may not be your fault, but it's choices you make every day that make it better or worse.

If you're more into your busy lifestyle than having a good sex life with your wife, then let me predict your future: Diabetic neuropathy--you'll lose feeling in your toes and penis. Kidney failure and dialysis and lots of other really shitty things--I'm watching my FIL go through this right now.

Or you can decide to carve out 5 hours a week to exercise and make better choices at the table. Three times a week lift weights and stretch for 1 hour, and 3 times a week do 30 minutes of cardio. 5 hours. Eat the food you're suppose to eat. That's it. Your blood sugar will drop, your stomach will get flatter--which will make your dick seem bigger, and you'll be able to stay harder longer.

Your life. Well, your's an d your wifes.

Here's what I'm thinking of putting together:

BCAAs (Edit: Just realized this is not vegan friendly)

L-Arginine a-Ketoglutarate

L-Citrulline DL-Malate

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine

Beta Alanine

Creatine Monohydrate

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Maltodextrin

Waxy Maize

I'm currently using a mix very similar to the above listed ingredients and it works very well!

I would like to just take a pre-mixed powder, but it seems like they all have caffeine, which I'm not a fan of for working out in the evening.

I'm also somewhat interested in Agmatine Sulfate and Phenylethylamine. Anyone have any opinions on those two chemicals?

u/kooldrew · 2 pointsr/naturalbodybuilding

BulkSupplements Creatine Monohydrate 1kg - $0.09 per 5g serving

BulkSupplements Beta Alanine 500g - $0.15 per 4g serving

BulkSupplements Citrulline Malate 1kg - $0.27 per 8g serving.

Total in bulk - $0.51 per serving
Total with pre-made - $0.83 per serving

I'd say overall it's not bad, but it'll certainly be cheaper per serving to buy in bulk. And while it's refreshing to see more supplement companies not using proprietary blends and using effective doses I find it odd they decided to include creatine and beta alanine in a product marketed as a pre-workout, given these supplements are not timing dependent.

Also, unless you're doing a large volume of high rep work (15+ rep sets) you might not be getting much benefit from beta-alanine.

u/VRSCDX · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Its not too bad with the Beta Alanine already [flavored] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DYIZO4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but then it appears I might be slightly under-dosing the CM with just 4g (was suggested to go with 6-8g)... I just add the CL for slightly more flavoring.

u/GSShenanigans · 2 pointsr/intermittentfasting

I use Amino Enery, and I really like it. I mix mine a little less than the recommended 2 scoops/16oz, as I find it a bit too sweet for my liking. Has 100mg of caffeine too, which is nice for energy and appetite suppression.

Edit: fixed link

It could be that you're still in "sleep mode" when you wake up in the middle of the night, and your mindbody is dissociated from your aches and pains...

i.e. you haven't "turned on" yet, and so your psychosomatic pain menagerie hasn't paraded into consciousness like it does when the sun breaks over the horizon. Body chemical communication and all that.

---

QUESTION: Have you been treated with antibiotics? Are body aches one of your most constant issues?

(The below is a promotional advertisement. That said, the only thing I have to gain from this is a potential additional guinea pig other than myself to see what happens when this is introduced into a daily diet against treating Lyme Arthritis.)

I may have discovered an intriguing and incredibly simple treatment today. Recent studies have shown that Lyme bacteria shed their membranes while growing and replicating... and that these membranes stick around in the joints for a long time.. and these may be what causes persistent inflammation after a Lyme infection.

There is an easily obtainable over the counter way to potentially reduce the inflammation caused by this. It is called Glycine and it is commonly used and available (you can buy it at any decent vitamin/supplement store, or in bulk on Amazon), and the body handles it very well.

I'm going to be taking approximately 30g per day.

The biggest thing when starting out is CONSISTENCY!

Just keep going no matter what. Feel tired, think your workout will suffer. 20 min elliptical/any sort of cardio is 100% better than staying at home!

Give it time, results wont happen over night, but if you keep up going to the gym/being active consistently over time, results are almost guaranteed!

I joined Dietbet.com with a group of friends http://dietbet.com/ and we all committed to dropping 10% body weight and most of us achieved that goal this month. Basically you commit 25 dollars a month with a ton of people. everyone who makes the goal splits the winnings of those who did not make the goal.

Another item to consider is Gym Pact:
http://www.pactapp.com/ Bet on going to the gym.

Take before pictures now at the start of your Journey to fitness. Shirtless front and back photo, in a year from now you will look at yourself and see everything you have accomplished. Take monthly photo's to see progress.

As for supplements, i'm not too big on them. I would suggest getting some sort of Fish Oil from Costco.
I also use the following product in watermelon flavor:
http://www.amazon.com/AMINO-ENERGY-GRAPE-65-SERV/dp/B006R76WK2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450716092&sr=8-1&keywords=on+bcaa+energy

No problem at all. I'm glad I could help you out.

If you're interested in purchasing Acetyl L-Carnitine, I'd highly recommend this here. I've got my caffeine and L-Theanine from them and couldn't be happier. However, I'm holding off on Acetyl L-Carnitine, since I personally don't believe it's worth the money for me, since I am starting keto soon.

u/arafey · 2 pointsr/ADHD

I've found NALT (N-acetyl L-tyrosine) works very well. L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid usually produced by the body in sufficient quantities. It's the precursor to dopamine and norepinephrine (the two most important neurotransmitters that stimulants affect in the treatment of ADHD). NALT is a form of l-tyrosine that is supposedly more readily absorbed into the bloodstream (most amino acid supplements need to be very carefully taken relative to other meals). I've found that 800mg before bed is perfect: I spring out of bed the next morning without any withdrawal. Every day feels like the first day I took Vyvanse (an amphetamine-based stimulant). Better yet, sometimes I will go without for a couple of days but as long as I take NALT, the withdrawal is barely noticeable. I've found that if I take too much, closer to 1200mg, that I will get some stomach pain and other GI symptoms. Also, I've found that taking it after I wake up substantially reduces its effectiveness. YMMV.

In terms of cost, if you buy it in powder form and follow the dosing instructions, it's very cheap (this is the one I buy): http://www.amazon.com/BulkSupplements-N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine-Powder-grams/dp/B00ENQYI1E/

u/supaflyrobby · 2 pointsr/loseit

I also agree that it is a waste of money to buy into the flashy marketing gimmicks of the GNC or Vitamin Shoppe flavor of the week brands. So long as it is a decently manufactured mono, I am all good. I have been getting these auto-delivered to me for over a year now. They do the job in splendid fashion and I am out a whopping 8 bucks for 240 capsules.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/StackAdvice

Other supplements you may want to look into that may aid in your situation (when you are in the position to expand your stack):

Rhodiola Rosea

Panax Ginseng

Acetyl L-Carnitine

Remember, step one should be adjusting your diet, exercise, and sleep!

u/She_Squats · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

Sounds like beta alanine is an ingredient, as it is a very common pre-workout ingredient. Beta alanine causes skin paresthsias (pins and needles). Get any pre-workout that does not have beta alanine as an ingredient and you won't get that tingly sensation (unless you tingly sensations are caused by being super sensitive to caffeine itself or something). I personally use Optimum Nutrition's Amino Energy line of pre-workouts and they don't have beta alanine.

Edit: I just looked up your pre-workout. It does not contain beta alanine, but does contain niacin. A common side effect of niacin is also itchy skin. So, find something without beta alanine OR niacin. My pre-workout that I linked above has neither.

Do not take a b complex vitamin as your main source of b5. You need 10 GRAMS+ not mg of b5 for it to work. I would start at 5 grams and work your way up to the 10 gram dose. If you're worried about the dosage, you can try Dr. Dach's protocol of 750 mg of B5 with 250 mg of L Carnitine three times a day. Though, I would take a b complex daily to maintain your body's stores of other b vitamins. After 1 week, my skin wasn't oily like it used to be, but I still had old cysts/acne from before I started the regiment. After 2 weeks, all my old cysts had healed, and I had no new flare ups/break outs. Right now (3 and a half weeks into my treatment), I have zero acne, just discoloration and some scars from previous break outs. Here are the links to what I bought. Supporting neurotransmitter activity is not dependent upon body size, but instead on the degree to which you have symptoms. As a result, determining your dose requires some trial and error. EDIT: Also, remember that I have not really tried rolling on a lower dose since NAC. I've been using same dose and I've been floored almost all of the time. I don't know if it's NAC related or something else. So I will also have to try supplementing NAC while reducing the MDMA dosage.

For those asking "how much do I take of each", from the articles:

  • [1] "Both drugs were administered as a single oral dose of 200 mg kg(-1) body weight 1h before alcohol intake". This would be 16g for a 80kg (175 pound) person, which is a massive amount of these things. In the case of the NAC it would be 26 pills from the Amazon link given later here and since they "contain selenium and molybdenum" you probably want to stick with just pure powdered NAC (Selenium can be pro-oxidative and pro-diabetic in large amounts, no idea about molybdenum).

  • [2] Doesn't say outright, just says how much ALCAR was mixed into the liquid food (2mg/ml).

  • [3] Similarly shows 2g/L of NAC added to a 30% alcohol formula. This one is particularly interesting because it shows improvement in various negative markers caused by alcohol even without abstinence from alcohol.

For both 2 and 3, because only the ALCAR or NAC concentration in the liquid is given and not the liquid consumption, I guess we're forced to assume a similar dosage.
Examine.com has articles on both ALCAR and NAC which interested people should read, and if you're putting something into your body you should be interested in reading about it.

Here's Amazon links for n-acetylcysteine and ALCAR powders from Bulk Supplements -- I've used them before and they seem fine and the prices are very good.

The TLDR of this post is:

  • dosages aren't clear from the 2nd and 3rd articles, but the 1st suggests 200mg/kg bodyweight, which is ~16g for a 175 pound person, of each supplement

  • use a pure form of the supplement rather than one mixed with other things -- for example, the selenium in the capsules linked in this thread can cause problems in high dosages

  • these are single studies so neither they nor this post should necessarily function as advice

I experience this too. It can be debilitating. My rheum diagnosed me with neuropathic itch (neuropathy) and Rx'd with Gabapentin. It works really well for the itch but I'm experiencing weight gain, bloating and digestive discomfort so coming off of it. Not sure if yours is dermatological or neurological but may be worth bringing up to your doctor. I've been a regular drinker for years (~4 standard drinks per night). It's obviously not the healthiest choice, but I take a number of supplements to (hopefully) mitigate the effects.

You've discovered what is probably the number one health detriment of drinking, sleep disruption. Lack of good sleep is going to destroy your health way faster than the direct physical effects of ingesting alcohol.

I struggled with bad sleep for a number of years. I believe in was a combination of more heavy drinking in the past and the stresses of graduate school.

Here's my recommendations for greatly improving sleep. Starting with the most helpful.

Glycine (3 grams before bed) - I found this recomendation on examine.com exactly for the problem of waking at night and this had probably the most obvious benifitial effect of any suppliment I've ever taken. It's an amino acid that I buy in bulk and mix in water with True Lemon to make a tasty drink before bed, but you could even eat it straight. Amino Acids tend to taste like sugar so you can save a lot of money by avoiding capsules.

L-Theanine (somewhere around 100 - 300 mg before bed sublingually and dose again if I wake up in the middle of the night) - I also buy this amino acid in bulk and keep an extra dose next to me throughout the night in case I do wake up too much. It helps you relax, lots of people like it. It's also good with caffeine during the day to improve focus and reduce jitters. The taste is a little acquired, but it's not too bad/strong. I kind of enjoy it.

Magnesium (citrate/glycinate oral or topical lotion) - This also helps with relaxation and is better with helping you fall asleep in the first place. I apply lotion because my digestive system does not handle oral well. Start small with oral and build up until you have loose stools then back off or go slower. I find that I sleep way more efficiently (as measured by FitBit) when I take the time to apply the lotion generously to my arms and legs before bed.

Slow release melatonin (5mg) - People have widely varying opinions about melatonin. I'm less sure how much it helps me, but I do take it and don't have any deleterious effects.

Let me know if you have any questions. I would order the glycine today. That stuff is amazing!

I use OPTIMUM NUTRITION ESSENTIAL AMINO ENERGY https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006R76WQG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_K3RSBbS8FFHGG

There are tons of flavors, it doesn’t take much to flavor my big Yeti cup (32oz of water) and it covers up the salt taste very well. It’s not a crazy preworkout or anything but good for the morning and afternoons

Seeing a doctor seems like a good next step.

In terms of supplements I've found L-Arginine to be very helpful in boosting my sex drive.

How about using almond flour or flax meal? You could use a tiny bit of pure sucralose if you wanted to sweeten it up. Creatine might be an option for you as well.

Rare to find somebody that has the same job and takes adderall just like I do. My best advice for you is to buy some gloves (cotton or something of that nature) and wear them under your latex gloves. It helps A LOT. I also wear a beanie for extra protection... I dont fuck around getting cold anymore its not worth it.

[This] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DZI14L8/ref=twister_B00DZI0ZUO?_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1) is what I wear. I have two pairs that I alternate... doesn't have to be touchscreen capable but you get the point...

Also, L-Arginine will help anybody that gets cold hands and feet, or even a limp dick. Basicly It opens up your blood vessels so you gain circulation back to those areas being effected. Must have supplement if you take adderall, and you dont even need to take it everyday imo...

And also OP:

Make sure you are taking care of yourself better than you normally would while on these doses. Eat enough, Sleep enough, Stay hydrated, take a multi-vitamin, fish/krill oil, extra magnesium, protein bars and bananas (great if you cant eat). Drinking milk is also an easy way to get alot of nutrition in you.

When you take adderall your body is using up energy it has to make the drug work right, when there is no energy to give you just feel dead tired. I know, I take doses constantly above 150mg and food is a huge factor in how things turn out for me. a high protein diet is very helpful.

And when I say stay hydrated that doesn't mean only drinking water. Too much water will wash out your electrolytes making you feel like shit. Throw some pedialyte (has the most electrolytes) in there throughout the day or Powerade to replenish them. You may also need to eat something sugary since adderall has a tendency to fuck with your blood sugar... salt too... make sure your body has enough or you will feel fucked up. Hopefully this helps.

I just started using this for my Beta Alanine. The fruit punch flavor tastes pretty good.

The only other powders I use are creatine and citrulline, and the citrulline is rough on the tastebuds. The flavored BA powder though completely masks it though so I have no issue drinking it now.

Amazon has Bulk Supplements powder - 250g for $18 - which comes out to less than $0.04/dosage.

Beta alenine. I use this once a day and I like it. They have a flavorless one too.

Or black coffee works too.

What do you think about this product:

https://www.amazon.com/Six-Star-Nutrition-Max-Dosed-Micronized-x/dp/B002UNATPG?th=1

I was taking this creatine with some carbs post workout: https://www.amazon.com/Six-Star-Micronized-Monohydrate-Unflavoured/dp/B00DTWI5LW/

but the local store going to stop carrying the 100% creatine. Is it alright to take the creatine x3?

u/lookiamapollo · -3 pointsr/Fitness

Creatine, not even once, but if you are going to start using I would suggest this. It is the brand my brother used before he OD'ed on the stuff.

Stay safe op

Yes, I have. The only ones that work have GOAL(glycine ornithine arginine lysine combination) that I have found to work. Doctor Oz explains it well.

Goal (glycine ornithine arginine lysine combination) and I have also heard of increasing hgh naturally with GOAL amino acids. Doctor Oz explains it well.
