I got a pollen press on amazon! It’s awesome and hilariously low-tech. It’s effectively a tube with metal dowels in there. You just unscrew one end, pull out a dowel, pour kief in, our the dowel back, then the pressure is generated when you screw the end back in. Apply some heat and it bonds it all together! Gives a really solid grind and doesn't leave pieces of metal/plastic in your weed like some other grinders I've owned before. It also comes with a mini shovel type thing for your kief which I've found to be very useful. It's also not incredibly expensive.

As far as other accessories go, it really depends on you. A pipe and weed is fine but if you want you can get some rolling papers/a bong/vaporizer/etc. I personally prefer joints to pipes but if that's what you're smoking out of you don't need a ton more.

Certainly not #1, but show me a grinder that does as well as this one for $20. I've been using it for four months and my herb is seriously thick, yet none of the teeth have budged at all and it always makes for a nice grind.

The chromium crusher brand has been on tons of different grinders in the past 5 years. The one I linked has been abused a ton and never flaked at all. Black all over still after many drops. Grinders are amazing there is a wooden one on Amazon for a few bucks it worked well for me till I got a better one and get her some dank and some mid. Mid is way cheaper and will do the job just remove all stems and seeds. With dank it doesn't have seeds smells way stronger. Smokes better. Taste better. And gets you higher faster. I have heard some people tell me mid gives them a headache though but good luck and if you ever get the money a mflb will conserve your weed and also you to reuse it later for edibles.

If you didn't already have the Nano Grinder, I would have suggested you get the Finishing Grinder. Personally in all my years of owning vaporizers.. I found the best combo to do an initial mass grind on a large grinder (nothing too fancy, I use this http://www.amazon.com/Golden-Gate-Grinders-Ultimate-Anodized/dp/B00GXSFAZ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1463498379&sr=8-1&keywords=golden+state+grinder ) and I usually leave the herbs in the larger grinder until I need some and run it through the Finishing Grinder. Having pre-ground weed like that allows the herb to dry (which most vaporizers tend to do better with) and the Finishing Grinder really gets it to a fine grind that helps with the MFLB's efficiency.

To expand on NahYoChill's cleaning tips.. I would be careful about using ISO on the lid. MFLB used to suggested using a little ISO on it and while I've always had no issues doing this.. you do run the risk of cosmetically damaging the lid because it's plexiglass. MF's new suggestion is to use a little toothpaste.

Nothing about your grinder has anything to do with 'being calibrated for vaporizing'. It's one of the most cheap and generic grinders available. And while it will do the job it's intended to do, thats extent of its capabilities.

Yeah I have the Pax 2 and I love it, I use it more than any piece I have. When I first got it it was alright, was a little hard to draw from, but after purchasing this vented lid for more airflow and using this grinder to grind my herb very finely, it hits so smoothly and amazingly; like smoking out of a fine cigar.

Now in terms of getting a bigger one worth the money, that's completely based off your preferences. Are you going to be using it more at home or will you be traveling around with it? Do you want something flashy or something discrete? I got the Pax 2 because it has a 10 year warranty if ANYTHING happens to it (besides losing it), it's discrete looking, compact, battery life is good, easy to take anywhere. I also got this case for it which allows me to store my weed as well and just makes smoking on the go SOOOO convenient. I personally haven't had the opportunity to try other vapes so I can only really tell you about mine. Through what I've heard, you're going to get the same high from other vaporizers, but the differences come in the forms of battery life, draw, vapor production, taste, and amount of herb you use. There's dozens upon dozens of vapes to choose from but to get the ball rolling for you check out more about the Pax, Magic Flight Launch Box, The Crafty, Boundless CF and CFX, and the DaVinchi IQ and Ascent. There's bound to be something for you!

I would DEFINITELY recommend switching over to vaping for many reasons; i.e. healthier, only 5% smoke, you get more cannabinoids, and you can reuse the ABV (already been vaped) weed for edibles.

Plastic ones break a lot easier but I would imagine you would hear it break and/or see a piece of plastic in your flower. To answer your question; I think it's safe as long as your not smoking the plastic that comes off when it breaks.

I'll agree that the grind is too coarse. But you don't need to get the expensive finishing grinder. When I got my MFLB, the finest grinder I had was the Load X Grinder for my Flowermate dosing capsules. That thing is perfect for the MFLB. The teeth look just like the $7.99, Storz and Bickel grinder so I'd expect the same performace from that grinder too. From what I've seen my Flowermate load x looks like a lot of the 2 piece acrylic grinders in the headshops. They are a really underrated option for getting a nice almost powdery grind.

I recently decided to try a Kozo Grinder and I'm pleased with it. The grips on the outside definitely help when grinding up tough, sticky buds. The sales people are super helpful and will replace your grinder for free if there's any problems with it. The only complaint I had initially with it is that the o-ring which keeps the kief screen compartment in place (instead of screwing on like most other grinders) was rather tight when I first got it, and I always worried about pulling it off so hard I'd lose my kief, but over time the seal has worn down to the point where it slides in and out a lot easier.

My only other gripe is that the circular holes around the teeth can clog with herb when you're grinding it, and I think if they were to make them a little longer instead of totally circular that this wouldn't happen, but all and all I'm very pleased with its performance & design, and the gold finish looks damn nice - So nice I bought a collectible gold-plated hologram State quarter off eBay to use in it as a kief coin.

I love it. I've been testing different methods. Low and slow heat for a few minutes then press to make it nice and sticky, add some drops of alcohol to break it down a little then press, or just press it dry and let it sit. I have a stinky puck from the other night that I coated the outside of it with some hash oil. Gonna try it tonight. It looks bomb.

I used my 4 piece Space Case upside down to get a fine grind for a long time, until I eventually bought a single chamber one ... IMO That single chamber grinder is almost a mandatory piece of equipment, regular grinders didn't get it fine enough for my liking.

That being said, you have to be careful not to over-do it with the single chamber... with the grinder I linked, you could powder it if you kept going. Only like $26 on amazon though which is insane.

Same as aluminum. They are soft and most if not all are of questionable manufacturing origin (as in who knows whats in the plastic used, loose bits from the poor mold ect.)

On the economy end of things the wood units with steel or hard metal pins would be a better option IMHO.

There are plastics and the like that are OK for use in things like vaporizers with no combustion (The Volcano and Herbalaire both use medical grade high temp plastics that I am OK with) But for anything intended to grind or crush anything I would go another route.

The best grinder I ever used is the 2 piece plastic orange one that comes with the Volcano vape. It looks like a cheap bit of head shop tat but it shreds herb to powder.

It lacks a kief catcher though.

I bought this grinder over a year ago, its extremely sturdy, and the screen for keif catching is nice and widely grated, I've found that all of my friends who have grinders with smaller screen grates usually get just about no keif at all because the screen gets clogged the first few times they use it. 10/10 recommend, plus for 8 bucks who can go wrong

I'm not a huge fan of the look or feel of it (tbh my husbent chose it) but the amount of kief it yields is amazing. The batch of bud we've been grinding is a bit dry so I'm sure this won't always be the typical yield.

I just picked up one of these. It works awesomely and the grip on it is great. You can always hold grinders upside down if the product isn't ground enough for you.

Honestly man, if you're a fan of ultralight, go for a 2 Piece. Take it from a marketing student, SCC's prices come from the fact that they market really well. They really aren't worth that much, you're paying to be a part of a "scene". Space Case has some reputable grinders. The grind isn't as picture perfect as SCC, but the fluff factor is still very present, and accomplishes the same goal. Much cheaper too.

On the other hand, if you're buying a Dynavap, I could think of an ultra-portable scenario. Those pill bottle grinders would work very well to stash your lighter, VapCap, and material. If you have to, you can ditch anything incriminating in one swoop.

For joints you do want a cheap grinder that doesn't turn the bud into a powder. I bought this and it works great. Also watch videos on youtube on how to roll joints, they will help you a lot.

This is the one i have, and for being only 10$ it works amazing. You can get tons of kief if you grind up the bud twich, then put a quater in there with it and shake like crazy.

Get a good 4 piece grinder, I'm in the process of buying a Black Tie Grinder right now, and make sure to put a coin in the weed compartment on top of the screen. After you grind your bud shake it a bit and it'll knock some of the kief off and make it build up a bit faster over time. If you want to go further, after you grind the weed put it in the freezer for 30 minutes or so and then shake it. Makes your kief build up fast as hell but knocks the majority of it off of your bud.

I wrote this when someone else made a post about grinders. My two cents on the issue:

You can get a cheap metal grinder on amazon for like $8. But, as me and my flatmate once discussed, you should take some things into consideration when purchasing a grinder. Do you see yourself smoking for a long time? If you do, a grinder will become a crucial tool for years to come. While buying a $100 Kannastor 3" 5 piece may seem crazy in the short term, owning one will definitely pay off.

What are you looking for in a grinder? If you want something that produces kief, look into four pieces. If you really want options in this regard look into a five piece, which will give you the option of an extra layer of kief refinement (my buddy owns a five piece but usually sets it up as a four).

The next thing is concealability. Sometimes if you're living at home and want to keep your toking a secret, there is no shame in owning a two piece grinder. Space Case and Mendo Mulcher make fucking awesome two pieces that will get the job done(you can sometimes even get mendo factory defects off ebay on the cheap). When you use a two piece, you're leaving more of the kief on the bud and you can work the bud to whatever level of grind you want(coarse to fine), so there is an advantage.

Whatever you look for, know some factors about quality. If the teeth sections of a grinder are inserts (you can see a seam like the one between the black and silver metal in this pic http://i.imgur.com/HqR6ekL.png) don't buy it. it may take years, but with enough work the two pieces of metal will separate(I ran into this the other night at a friends place). You want your teeth sections to be milled from one solid piece of metal to avoid this.
If I can give a personal recommendation, I use a Mendo Mulcher 3" four piece and it's my all time favorite grinder. Though I will give credit to Space Cases and Kannastors because they are also quality tools.

I definitely recommend a grinder. I keep one of these as a backup grinder and it's about the cheapest four piece you can get, definitely worth the money. I also use one of these for my travel kit and the 3" Mendo Mulcher is my daily driver.

As far as screens go, I say go glass or use a plug nug (small nug of weed below the ground weed to keep it from pulling through). Glass screens are inert and reusable/easily cleaned. Metal screens clog and they put unnecessary stress on the glass(the metal holds the heat close to the glass, while a glass screen cools at the same rate).

I like this Instapark on Amazon ($15). It works well and comes in different sizes if you think 1.5" might not be enough for you. Make sure to thoroughly wash your new grinder, regardless of the brand, before use.

Get an instaspark on amazon. Just do that it use to be around 25 might be cheaper now. Its a CNC cut grinder I've been using it for 2+ years its great. Got it on amazon.
