Uta is a master mask maker. He probably uses morph masks or two-way mirrors.

Now as for the kakuja masks that cover the eyes, yeah, I can't think of an excuse for that, haha. At least Kurona has the convenience of having multiple "eyes".

Here is the one I use. The proper name of these long-beaked masks is a zanni mask from Commedia dell'arte, making it a little more difficult to find than the shorter plague doctor masks.

Note that the mask is traditionally only a half mask. For my cosplay version, I took a wide isosceles triangle of black cotton and stapled it around the lower edge to hide the rest of my face, though glue might work as well. Another wide strip of the same material pasted around the top edge should cover your forehead too if you need it.

I made one for this years halloween, and while I can't speak for OP on how he made his, I can tell you how I made mine. You can buy the mask from Amazon then spray paint it gold. Then, buy a small black shirt to cut up. Cut part of it into a square and super glue it to the bottom part of the mask. This is where it gets tricky. I used pieces of the black shirt to cover the eyes on the inside of the mask, but it's incredibly hard to see out of when I'm not in a well lit room. That one you might have to figure out on your own. Then you just need a black hoody with a white zipper as OP does in the picture and the hat, which can be found through an easy Google search. If you're like me and live in an area where a lot of parents have younger children and don't want to offend hundreds of trick or treaters, you can opt for a more family friendly snapback like I did. It's a sick costume, I actually just got back from wearing it somewhere tonight and while a lot of people didn't necessarily know who I was, they thought it was creepy as hell and loved it. Good luck if you decide to make one :D

Depends on what type of plague doctor mask and gas mask. If it's a respirator mask, where only the mouth is covered (ie, half-mask) and the plague doctor mask is designed like the Mardi Gras masks, (again, half-mask), it can work. Additionally a gas mask + Mardi Gras mask would work as well.

In my head the mannequin has one of these and one of these.

For convenience here's another pic

The cage looks to be a very simple design and can easily be constructed using cardboard or EVA foam. My personal preference would be to use EVA foam.

Things you'd need:

  • EVA foam (you can order online or get from your local big name hardware store)

  • Blue-ish colored thin plastic for the covering (probably can get this at your local craft store or you can use something from an office supply store)

  • skull mask or something similar (from your local halloween or costume store) or Amazon

  • LEDs (to add the glowing effects)

I'm very surprised THIS hasn
t been mentioned yet (although it's kind of a mask-helmet-esque thingy)...

I have the link actually. Found it on amazon.

I wanted to go to a party and piss people off. http://www.amazon.com/Realistic-Black-Horse-Mask-Costume/dp/B005E8UUHQ

As far as not wanting it to be a "mash up" of pieces, good luck. These are custom costumes and not readily available pieces. You'll have to buy separate pieces, do some constructing on your own, and hope they match up and look ok.

you can tell from this image that its a coat and pants.

I think wearing this jacket (remove the pocket buttons for a cleaner look. Hell, remove ALL the buttons and add some Velcro or snaps inside the "fly" to seal up more cleanly) will work best for your purposes. I can't find a stand-collar style jacket or even just zipper-down bomber in two-tone, and I can't find any in white in dyeable materials. Your best bet is probably this jacket.

there are lots of patterns for shoulder pads online that you can follow with foam and cover with a fabric of your choosing so that the size/color matches the costumes (you can see the shoulder pads are a shinier material than the jacket). Attach with craft spikes

For the pants, wear a split-color jean

this mask

these boots

You could always go with this instead and remove the head so as to form a collar (you would then need to buy a different morph hood for the head, in black) and then do the shoulder pad thing. Much easier. You'll likely run into issues with the amount of lycra/spandex in that suit in terms of adding shoulder pads, etc. Its unlikely they'll sit where you want them to. You're much better off using something that won't stretch, like the cotton jacket above.

Unless you're going to a poppy-themed party, no one is going to know what your costume is, so its not like anyone will be scrutinizing the verisimilitude of it. You might have to settle for "the best I can get on short notice".

I really need this so I can scare the crap out people taking pictures, and also to stalk my sister, who is terrified of Slenderman.

u/koji91488 · 2 pointsr/HotlineMiami

Sorry was at a con scaring people off. I got the mask from amazon here.
https://www.amazon.com/Costume-Culture-Supreme-Chicken-White/dp/B00BLMU87G/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1506744938&sr=8-8&keywords=rooster+mask

I used paint and marker to blacken the eyes and then slathered some stage blood on it.

u/egraf · 2 pointsr/trap

mask can be found here http://www.amazon.com/Evil-Masquerade-Adult-Silver-One-Size/dp/B007QJ5OVS spray it gold and if you do a google search for "black snapback hat olde English fuck" there should be a few results that come up. Cut up a black shirt or get some black fabric to glue below the eyes and find and black hoodie and you're good to go!

  1. They look like martial arts pants and martial arts pants would probably look better for photos as they are made from a more stiff bodied material than sweatpants.

  2. I've seen a lot of people use simple waterproof liquid eyeliner with good results for tattoos (you may need two or three pens for a tattoo that size), but there is also alcohol activated Skin Illustrator Tattoo that will only come off with alcohol

  3. If you plan on making the mask, I suggest to buy a cheap skull mask as a base like this http://www.amazon.com/Cryptic-Cadavers-Skull-Bones-Halloween/dp/B001TEYIEA/ref=sr_1_41?ie=UTF8&qid=1396433677&sr=8-41&keywords=skull+mask, hotglue yellow spandex over it for and cut off the bottom portion. Reason being that you wouldnt usually get such a defined browbone structure from just wearing a cloth mask alone. Draw in the eye holes and trim to shape.

Good luck, and if you actually try out this method of making the mask I'd love to see the end result as it's a theory XD

I bought the same mask OP had a long time ago and I have the link, here you go. You have to black out the eyes yourself though, I used a sharpie https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BLMU87G?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Get one of these: https://www.amazon.ca/Trick-Treat-Studios-Halloween-Michael/dp/B00EU2O8QG

And a big red Jerry can full of water. Ring his doorbell at 3am, wait for him to open the door and start pouring the water on his car.

u/Michniko_ · 1 pointr/deadbydaylight

It's a bit pricy but once you get this, spray paint the neck and cut the eyes to your liking, and you've got a good looking Myers mask. I can confirm from experience this is one of the best out there.

u/TheStoryOfMankind · 1 pointr/wow

Not sure how it'd look, but maybe consider getting one of these to wear under the helmet? Arthas' face is rarely shown as the Lich King.

Then to really kick it up a notch, attach some blue LEDs to the eye holes of the helmet.

But it already looks amazing, so don't take my ideas to mean anything different. Excellent work!

u/TheNef · 1 pointr/batman

You could get one like this or this and paint them yourselves.

My idea for a more form fitting version was to get a mask like the first one and then paint it, cut it into pieces, and mount it to a hood like this.

u/Rubenick · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Finland doesn't celebrate Halloween either :P

So I have no clue what Australians would need for Halloween! Maybe THIS!.. I've seen some Aussie movies and there's sheep in all of them xD

u/nasty-nick · 1 pointr/halloween

Try this maybe?
Black Mask typically has his entire head covered. Also major props if you can paint it a metallic black. That would look amazing.

Amazon has a couple choices for the mask.

If you look down the page on the "frequently bought with" section you'll find other pieces of the costume, such as the hat.

[For a legit venetian mask...get it from Italy(http://www.cartaalta.com/venetian_masks/products-404/naso_scaramouche_silver.html)

Fpr the coat, I'd look at local thriftstores to see if there's something you can use. Otherwise a cloak is easy to find at a costume shop..

The undermask is great, and a prime candidate for a quick reshaping and repainting if you want it to look closer to the movie:

The hockey mask that comes with it is crappy though, so you'll want to get a better one.

u/J_Q · 1 pointr/gaming

I'll post some pictures when it's finished.

I don't have your crafting skills, so I opted to buy this mask instead: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IBR38A

It was on sale for about $8 when I purchased it a week ago, and it looks great. I peeled off the frilly gold ribbon around the edges, and I'm going to speckle it with a bit of blood too.

u/passthesertraline · 1 pointr/HotlineMiami

PIG

HORSE

Personally I would pick the mask you use the most in game.

I love the horse because lethal doors but eh, the pig one has a creepy evil menacing look to it.

u/closethird · 1 pointr/goonies

Looks like I bought mine in 2014 for ~$40 from Amazon. Here is the product page: link

It's not available now, but has a manufacturer code so maybe that will lead you down the right path. Good luck.

u/pawpawprowlhowl · 1 pointr/pics

Well, stores in Venice are a lot different than anywhere else. A lot of them do not have names, let alone a website available for purchasing items. But, I did find this on amazon. I have no idea what kind of quality it is and it's expensive (when you compare it to the 2 euros it takes to get a plain one in Venezia, at least). Hope it helps...
