Titanium Pot - 28 oz savings ($35)

Drop The mug, just use your pot - 4 oz savings (free)

Trowel instead of shovel - 16 oz savings ($20)

Drop the solar panel (doesn't really work well on the move) - 10-ish savings (free)

Sawyer Squeeze instead of Katadyn - 8 oz savings ($30)

Dance Pants instead of packed pants - 14 oz saved ($18) although you probably dont need these since you're wearing zip off pants

I would add a puffy to your clothing, it will get pretty cold - 10 oz gained (can be found on sale for $40)

Leave the extra shirts at home - 12 oz saved (free)

Just bring one extra payer of underwear and socks - 6 oz saved (free)

Leave campshoes at home - 23 oz saved (free)

I really don't know what the survival kit contains, but it can probably be paired down or eliminated

Don't know what the carabiners are for if you're hanging stuff outside your pack you're bringing too much - 4 oz saved (free)

Don't know what the tarp is for the sierras, you already have a tent

125 oz saved or almost 8 pounds. Coming in at a cost around $150.

I would start here and then look at replacing your bigger items. The easiest one to save the most weight would be your pack.

Hope this helps!

u/umabbas · 13 pointsr/Rosacea

Ok, so;

Ivermectin is a relatively new, Nobel winning medicine that can be used to treat a variety of conditions with living organisms, such as mites in the case of type 2 rosacea (papulopustular - the one with pimples, scabs, pustules, white heads and generally really unsightly and painful when left untreated).

In most cases, it's very effective and clears the face within few weeks (I strongly recommend going on a course of helping antibiotics from your doctor for that, as it helps with a 'die off', a slight to bigger but very temporary worsening of the pimples before it gets better. Not all people have that, but it's fairly common.)

For human use, it's usually prescribed as Soolantra; a topical cream. In most of the world where it's available, it's an affordable to cheap and sometimes even fully paid for medicine, and if your doctor doesn't know about it, mentioning it sometimes helps with its prescription.

I don't know where you're based, but if you're in USA, the Soolantra bit can get annoying and superexpensive due to the way that healthcare is set up to milk people instead of help, however I have seen people getting it with some pharmacy help for as low as 50$ a tube.

If that's not an option, either because you truly are in USA and your doc is a jerk, or because like me you live somewhere where it simply isn't imported and known, you can opt for 'horse paste'.

Horse paste is a colloquial term for horse dewormers; a toothpaste-like or gel-like substance meant for horses to ingest, with twice the strength of Soolantra (some people dilute it with moisturisers for usage to tone it down to Soolantra's level, some people use it full; in most cases it's a once a day application on the entirety of the face.)

You can get your hands on a dewormer in most farm stores or on Amazon, one like this for example:https://www.amazon.com/Ivermectin-Paste-Dewormer-Flavor-3-Pack/dp/B01LXKF2VW - you always want to make sure it's pure Ivermectin and not a mix, and it's for horses as the strength is easy to work with, either in full or halved.

One tube lasted me for about 1-2 weeks when applied daily; I now have a clear face with only occasional pustules so I apply it about once a week at this point.

Disclaimer:

I am not a doctor.

I use it without problems for nearly a year now.

Horse paste is not tested for human use. It is twice the strength of the tested human dose, and so far nobody reported any problems. One thing some doctors fear with this is developing a resistance, similar to how antibiotic overuse works.

Another thing is the fact that a lot of these come in apple flavour, so there's a concern that storing them too long out once opened diminishes their effectiveness and could even lead to spoiling; in which case I recommend not stockpiling on them but buying them as you go, maybe a month-worth of supply.

The substance is generally safe for topical use as it's super mild - horses are sensitive so they can't ingest just anything.

Hopefully someone can chime in but there are a pair of dancing pants thats are highly rated for the price. I'll see if I can find them.

EDIT: Looks like they are body wrappers. Some reviews on BPL.

u/ALetterFromHome · 10 pointsr/everymanshouldknow

OP you would probably be better off asking in /r/MMA or /r/boxing for some better answers.

It sounds like you will be fine with a regular free-standing punching bag like this. Your downstairs neighbors won't be too crazy about it, but unless youre planning to do full 30-60 min training sessions every day I wouldn't worry too much. Just don't decide to go beast on it at 3am.

Do you have a balcony? You might be able to buy a bag + stand and put it on your balcony if there is enough room. However, this can also be quite noisey, but again, if you just want it to just beat up for a few minutes out of the day I really wouldn't worry. Thing is, you might really get into it and want to start training, but cross that bridge when you get to it.

Be sure to have some wrist/hand protection. I've fucked up my wrists a good few time taking naked fury hailmakers into heavy bags.

It looks like one of your parents has been a bad bad dirty person. They needed to be punished, I suggest that you get them a ball gag next time your have an opportunity to get them a present. Because one of them like to have their bottom smacked. https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Leather-Riding-Crop-Whip/dp/B000C09XX8 is similar to what you found. Have you ever watched https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139134/?ref_=nv_sr_1 cruel intentions?

u/sylkworm · 8 pointsr/martialarts

If you want to actually throw power punches, I would recommend you both take boxing classes and get a heavy bag and at least some hand wraps. Otherwise, you're likely to mess up your hands and wrists. The downside with that solution is that it would cost money and time, both of which you've said that you don't want to invest in.

There are other alternatives like stand-up bags, but that's also costly and you would be able to easily knock them down unless you're a very small or weak puncher.

You could possibly wall mounted bag but that's inadvisable unless you have a strong brick/cement wall or you have a place where you don't mind shaking off pieces of the drywall.

Your original solution with hand-held pads might still work if you're willing to take a few boxing pointers, but most people don't know how to hold pads or punch properly.

Ultralight and inexpensive wind pants

Body Wrappers Ripstop Pants (Black, Medium) - 701 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002UR7RC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lJpMDbPDZ6J2B

I bought these to wear commuting to an early AM February fun run. Had to wait in the corral for an hour+. These were great. Zero cold breeze got into my personal space. Not that breathable. I took them off to put in my running pack. They weigh about 3 ounces.

Also wore these during a snowy winter road trip over long johns. They were comfy walking around outside at ferry terminal.

I don't know what high intensity activity would feel like in them. But great for getting to and from your desired route.

I got Double Circle, wood rings, but the thing I really like about it is their strap system. It's not just numbered, each height is sewn closed and notched. Extremely easy and quick to go from doing ring push ups to dips and back again and have both sides balanced exactly

Besides jewelry material being a common cause for problems (I would advice implant grade materials and definitely not acrylic) and poor placement. Sleeping on piercings can definitely cause havoc. Even more so if you don’t downsize jewelry in a timely matter. One of the problems it can cause is tilting the angle it was originally pierced at to the point of it becoming impossible to heal.
For our teen, a travel pillow didn’t work either. We ended up doing some DIY, to make something like this There’s wrestling head gear that would work as well. It looks ridiculous, but it works great. Because not sleeping on piercings will have a major positive impact on the healing process.

Ivermectin is what finally cured me: https://www.amazon.com/Ivermectin-Paste-Dewormer-Flavor-3-Pack/dp/B01LXKF2VW. 2 doses a week (back to back days) for 3 weeks.

Unless you have crusted scabies (which it doesn't sound like you do), there won't be many scabies living in your environment, you don't need to throw away clothes, linen, etc, just wash and dry them on high heat each time you do the treatment. You can save time by just bagging clothes in garbage bags for 7 days if you don't need to wear them again immediately as the mites cannot live off your body for very long.

Not a thru hiker. But I'm also a female. I love my wind pants from amazon. I wear a medium and they are 95g. Not as light as other options but affordable.

Instead of wipes, you could mail yourself some compressed towels. I have some from daiso that are individually packaged like little candies. But there's also some on amazon. Definitely useful for that time of the month!

I'm a fan of the ripstop nylon pants that dancing supply stores sell, like the ones at the link below. They're $15-20 for ~3.5 oz pants without any bells or whistles. Pmags did a great write up here: http://www.pmags.com/gear-review-discount-dance-supply-rip-stop-pants.

Well in that case, i think the Death motif is far too common. Maybe something more assassin-y but also relatively unique. He could have bladed knuckled gloves and be a monk type rogue.

u/HedonisticFrog · 3 pointsr/amateur_boxing

These are what I use for bag and pad work. They absorb impacts very well and are holding up very well after three months and I hit hard at 230lb. The only sign of wear is the red rubbing off onto the white palm a little bit.

These are what I use for sparring. They were a little tight at first and hard to make a fist for the first couple of uses but they feel very comfortable now. They also show no signs of wear but they haven't been used as much. I also got them on sale for $50 so if you're patient you can wait until they go on sale again.

I'd recommend getting bag gloves and sparring gloves since the soft foam of sparring gloves will break down faster on a heavy bag and bag gloves are pretty hard for sparring.

u/9to5tofit · 3 pointsr/bjj

I think Fuji gis are great and cheap. Available on Amazon for around $85 (http://smile.amazon.com/Fuji-BJJ-Uniform-White-A3/dp/B00GIHVQBG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464968568&sr=8-1&keywords=fuji+gi). They go on sale for $70 on bjjhq.com if you are not in a rush.

u/graceeh67 · 3 pointsr/Rosacea

Yep! Definitely not safe for human oral consumption. I apply a very thin layer all over my face. The Durvet brand is best if you have dry skin since it's rather oily and the Horse Health brand is better for those with oily skin since it's more of a white paste.

Cheap and light plus they work well. If you don't like em then you're only out $15-20 rather than $100 for a name brand with essentially no weight difference. I have em, used em, love em. They're in my pack year round.

u/chrisbenson · 3 pointsr/Ultralight

BeFree is great. Nitecore Thumb is on my wishlist. You could get a 4" phone cable, Dance pants, Toothpaste Tablets, Ursack.

I don't know of any 59" trekking poles. Maybe one of those extenders?

u/khariel · 3 pointsr/bjj

I've had one identical to the one /u/scpDZA suggested, but didn't work too well for me.

Bought a Cliff Keen and even though it's more expensive, it was worth every penny. Never had a problem with cauli anymore.

u/fearlessmercenary · 3 pointsr/bodyweightfitness

I'm no veteran, but I built these for £10 - one thing i'd say is spring for a pipe cutter or get your pipe cut for you as using a hacksaw for cutting pipe is a fucking nightmare.

Also, I made the horizontal pipe 12" as I saw no need to have it be 24" and if it's longer it will just bend in the middle. Also, if you leave one pair of joints un-glued, you can fold them flat for easy storage.

They work great for l-sits and tuck planche work, and being able to transition from one to the other is fun.

My Reddit secret santa bought me these which are pretty good. Straps are really sturdy, but i imagine wood rings would feel nicer on the hands.

u/snipes81 · 3 pointsr/bjj

I tested out several and settled on the Cliff Keen fusion headgear https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JUS3T4Q They are a nice balance between good ear protection and a soft outer layer which is helpful for your teammates.

I also tried, and still have, the Cliff Keen Tornado, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KEFWUE/ . Excellent protection, but the hard outer shell sticks out far and is somewhat like a cheese grater on your partner. Wrestling great, bjj not so much.

I also bought and immediately returned the matman, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006SBMZ9Y/ . The attached chin strap was a deal breaker. Not only did it not fit my big melon the attached chin strap means if it breaks it's tough to replace.

I have no problems hearing instruction or my partner when wearing them, but they are a PIA to wear and this is coming from someone who wrestled for many years. I put them on after warm ups or sometimes not until sparring depending on what we are working on. They have kept my cauliflower ear from coming back over the past year.

Best of luck.

I own about 3 pairs of these "cloth shin guards" and they really don't offer much protection. These shin guards are for light contact sparring like taekwondo or karate where they tell you to not go hard. If you throw it hard and hit someone's bones, you'll feel it. If you want to throw hard kicks, just get the full shin guards like TKB, Twins, Fairtex, etc.

As for the sizing for the cloth ones, S, M, L all are the same length and the difference is how much wider they are. I'm 6'0" 150 lbs, and I can wear a small all the way to a large. If you want to be safe, get a large since it should be quite snug once you wash and dry them.

Additional advice:
They usually aren't branded, and even if they are, don't get it branded because it's such a crap shinguard that you shouldn't spend 20 more dollars just because it has the words VENUM or something on them.

I in a similar situation as you, I am pretty new to BJJ so I have a cheap 50$ gi my gym sells. But I have been eyeing https://www.amazon.com/Fuji-BJJ-Uniform-White-A3/dp/B00GIHVQBG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1510337995&sr=8-3&keywords=fuji%2Bbjj%2Bgi&th=1&psc=1 for Christmas. I don't think it comes with a belt though.

Keto is great too, I have been a bit off the wagon recently but still loosing weight and feeling good so I am just going with it. I have been having 100 or less carbs a day and just lowering my fat a bit and its working for me, I think doing BJJ 3 times a week is what is driving that though.

If your up for trying out something a little strange, you sound like you have the perfect body to pull off a dominatrix costume. There are also free-standing bags

u/CutthroatTeaser · 2 pointsr/Rosacea

My rosacea is now mostly controlled but when I was actively treating it, I used Durvet (Apple flavored) horse paste, purchased on Amazon. It's actually more of a gel that a paste, so it spreads more easily if the skin is wet. I would saturate a cotton round with micellar water, add 3 drops of tea tree oil (which is also good for rosacea), and wipe my whole face, including under the jawline. With it still dripping wet, I'd then apply the smallest amount of horse paste possible that would cover my whole face and jawline, including my nose and eyebrows.

It takes a while to soak in, and it's best used at night. As such, I'd make it a point to do it at least 30-60 minutes before bedtime.

u/Jiu-JitsuDude · 2 pointsr/bjj

Got it....

I ask because I did take the Amazon Ivermectin orally once to kill the demodex internally as well. Its 100% OK for human consumption. A lot of users have reported doing this for either demodex or scabies. I was desperate and I did it. Im 100% OK and it worked in conjunction with topical application of the same product.

This is the brand I purchased, squeezed a 200lb dose and swallowed it before bed. It tastes like the worst apple chapstick ever. I dont know if its the oral dose or the topical dose that helped but it did....

After I finish the soolantra, i doubt I will purchase it again from the pharmacy. I will continue to purchase the medication linked above as its stronger and much much cheaper.

Good luck, bro!

u/PinkCuttlefish · 2 pointsr/knives

You do not need anything over 20 bucks for a trainer. If you feel like you really want something high quality, just buy your balisong and put a bit of duct tape on the edge. I recommend this. Make sure you have a few Torx screwdrivers on hand to tighten it every once in a while.

u/lego_monkey · 2 pointsr/MuayThai

In general you don't want to use the same gloves for heavy bag work and for sparring because you will compress the material over time and risk injuring a partner. For heavy bag gloves I would go with 14-16oz for your size and as far as brand, a bit depends on your body type and preference.

Some people like harder gloves that have less give and others prefer ones that may be softer and less responsive but easier on your hands. Also, I would recommend that no matter which gloves you get, make sure they have adequate wrist support (thicker wrist straps made of leather instead of elastic and straps that double back will be the most secure). The brands you named all have quality gloves but there are two others I would recommend:

Title Gel Bag gloves $99:
These are fantastic gloves that will hold up and can take a beating. They have great wrist support and are really easy on your hands.

RDX Bag Gloves $69: These are a bit more dense and have a more snug fit but if you prefer harder gloves these are a good option. Wrist support is good and once you break them in they really form to your hands.

Overall, it worked relatively well and apparently has less side effects than "the other stuff." In addition to all that though, you typically want to freeze whatever you can (linen etc) for at least 24 hours, try to give the rats a bath after their meds (we couldn't do this -- they'd eat us alive), and wipe down their cage with apple cider vinegar + water -- let it soak in for a bit.

In our case, we suspected we were getting the mites from lab blocks at the pet store.

I know I’m late to the party, but maybe this can help someone.

My bun got head tilt in 2014. We treated for infection and e. Cuniculi together and are confident it wasn’t an infection.

Panacur is the medicine you give to rabbits to address e. Cuniculi.

That shit is expensive. Use this instead:

Merck Safeguard Goat Dewormer, 125ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HHLVB8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ttx4CbTDYM2P4

http://www.msd-animal-health.co.uk/binaries/Panacur_-_Trade_Detail_Aid_tcm80-72082.pdf

According to this page, rabbits should be dosed 20 mg of Fenbendazole per KG of weight. My little guy weighs about 3 pounds so I was giving close to 30 mg daily.

In order to dose the goat dewormer correctly (100 mg/ml), I needed to give him 0.3 ml of medicine daily. If you have any questions with dosing, PM me.

I noticed HUGE improvements right away. He’s relapsed a couple times into the rolling state but a day or two on the medicine helps immediately for me.

He turned 8 this month, having lived with head tilt for 5 years now.

okay first of all, are you sure you mean giardia? giardia is a parasite and is easily transmissable to other pets. there is no 'vaccine' for it. so please be sure you understand what you're dealing with.

that said, if it is giardia, what are the pills? are they Flagyl (metronizadole)? if so you may have better luck with Panacur (fenbendazole) in liquid form. it doesn't taste as bad and if your cat is a good eater you may be able to hide it in canned food.

i've bought Safeguard and used it on cats, it's the same active ingredient as Panacur.

of course administering it directly is the safest bet. when i have an unruly cats who need meds i wrap them securely in a heavy towel or blanket so they can't scratch me. then it's just a matter of getting the syringe in their mouth.

I can't pick! I love all the helmets and swords (specifically this one and Pocky is like crack. The collection of dice is awesome cuz I love games and numbers.

I love Kevin lots!

If I have to pick something off my list, I really need a new laptop battery but my face needs eyeliner and I drink a lot of tea and water. Honestly, whatever you would pick would be great!

I think they're great shin guards and very comfortable. They don't have the slipping issue because they go over your leg almost like a sock, but because of this there's no way to wear shoes at the same time. They aren't very similar to what I've seen others use in class, which have more of a hard shell. These are moreso pads.

And if you plan on moving your rings a lot and not having a permanent place to hang them, I would really recommend getting competition straps, where the clips lock into number loops, rather than having to sling the straps through a buckle every time you move them or change height. I got mine on Amazon for 58 bucks (compared to 150 from rogue) and having used both, I prefer the cheap ones. I have no association with them lol, just love their product and got a few friends using them and they couldn't be happier

Started getting them after about a year. Had a couple of painful blow-ups in my left ear that lasted a week or two, one got to the point where it was so painful and uncomfortable that I spoke to a nurse about draining them myself and how to safely go about it. I eventually decided against it.

Since my wife and profession are not big fans of me having messed up ears, I've picked up a pair of these, and they're great—comfy, easy to clean and dry, don't interfere with rolling; the only downside being they make it slightly hard to hear.

As of now, the spots that blew up have become like rock-hard little plates in my ear, don't know how else to describe it. There is no longer any pain and when I compete I don't wear the headgear and have yet to see those spots become an issue.

As, others have mentioned, a lot of it is genetic. I got them after a year, we have a D1 wrestler who trains/coaches with us and he has never gotten them.

u/Adraekith · 1 pointr/DnD

u/DrDOS · 1 pointr/bjj

Yeah. I mostly agree, seems gimmicky and if used instead of head protection, might make your ears feel like they are being ripped off :P

I have had cauliflower ear, ignored the warning signs of discomfort and was stupid. It quickly became so big it impeded my hearing, so I went to the doctor, I have insurance but it still cost about 200$ to get it drained and stitched up iirc (besides that my wife threatened me if I didn't go ;). We had tried draining it before the doc but it was too difficult to maintain the right compression. I could see this product possibly serving the compression purpose and saving you some money and perhaps down time.

Now I have these:
Cliff Keen Fusion Headgear... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JUS3T4Q?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I put them on whenever I have any discomfort or when I'm competing. They are the best I'd found that fit my big head and ears, let me hear decently through them, aren't crazy hot, stay on well, and won't injure my opponent. Most of the time training, I don't wear them, I don't like to wear them because they are still hot and I don't want to build bad habits that rely on them. I just try to be careful and avoid especially risky situations for cauliflower, use alternative escapes, tap, etc.

This is a great wooden paddle from Amazon for $10.

This crop from Amazon for about $6. Absolutely not something that will last forever, but it's been working great on my ass after a little bit of leather moisturizer (one of the things that came in my Doc Martens care kit). I've had it for 3 months, and IMO it's already paid for itself. Works just fine till I can get a "good" one. :-)

u/StormTAG · 1 pointr/balisong

So I've been fidgeting with a trainer I bought (https://www.amazon.com/Anlado-Balisong-Butterfly-Trainer-Practice/dp/B06W5KSDY5) and now I decided to try and get a little more deliberate with my "training." I have no one to help in person so I appreciate any guidance or suggestions.

I started with this list to give me some structure (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHiueU_hUKFwM6kV8WTVF9fBGpIeat8Ba) and I'm currently on the 2nd video, which details the Fan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YKZjkQzNo8)

I can get it to work most of the time but pretty often when I do the flip out, both the handle and the blade end up on the same side, so rather than a T, I end up more with an L. If I wait to start rotating until after the handle has already hit the back of my fingers, it works consistently. Thus, my guess is that I'm starting the rotation too soon and I just need more practice to start the rotation at the right point.

Also, most of the time when I do start fanning the blade ends up straight out and only occasionally perpendicular to my hand. Any tips for keeping the T shape consistent while fanning? I'm assuming it's just another practice thing but figured I'd ask.

Poor baby! Order some Ivermectin off Amazon, mix it in with wet food, and make sure he eats all of it. You're going to have to figure out dosage, good luck.

u/scabies101 · 1 pointr/scabies

I just got done emailing someone about this and this is what my husband and I used for the cream. It's basically Permethrin 10% sold as an insecticide. I'm just gonna paste my nodes I used - Feel free to read the reviews on these products too because a lot of people use this stuff for human scabies:

  • Topical Treatment - Permethrin. Apply all over your body and let sit for 8-10 hours once every 7 days. It's a good idea to do this before bed. You buy a soap dispenser at target/wherever and fill half with normal lotion and half with the Permethrin 10%. The normal doctor's prescription has it at 5%, but this 10% works fine, just don't abuse it more than your regular once-every-7-day-use or you'll get a slight bumpy rash. When combined, the lotion and texture is a little more pungent, runny/clearish than the cream from the pharmacy, but they do the same thing. It's weird, but you should feel minty fresh all over the next day. This product is also highly toxic to cats so don't let them eat or lick it. This med kills scabies mites dwelling on/in the skin, but not the eggs.---> https://www.amazon.com/slp/permethrin-insecticide/da4m4nb547ot545

And for anyone who need a source for the ivermectin paste,

  • Internal Treatment - Ivermectin: Measured by bodyweight, consume the proper amount of this paste once every 7 days with food. On how to measure the dose, watch the youtube link below. (A dose detail: When the gel is pushed out of the tube at the measurement which matches your bodyweight, it's a good idea just to cut the gel off at that point with your finger and take it by hand to make sure you get only the dose you need. Also, my husband and I rounded up so I did a 150lbs dose and he a 200lbs dose even though we are about 25-30lbs under that. We felt fine.) This med kills scabies mites dwelling on/in the skin and will kill any eggs which hatch.---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AexpeCn08n0---> https://www.amazon.com/Durvet-Ivermectin-Paste-Equine-Dewormer/dp/B01LXKF2VW
  • When to Start: Do not start the Permethrin and Ivermectin in the same day because it wouldn't make sense to. Eggs take 2-3 days to hatch so it's best to start these two meds about 3 days apart to kill off the 2nd wave each week. Maintain this schedule throughout the week(s) you take it.

I am new to boxing and want to get my own gloves. I am unsure what to get. They will be used for heavy bag and pad work. I am considering Title Gel World Bag Gloves and Ring to Cage C17. Which should I get? (Other suggestions welcome)

u/abbie_rae · 1 pointr/AppalachianTrail

What do you have already and what do you plan on buying?

When do you plan on starting? High/Low temps do you expect?

Some of this is repetitive, sorry. Also just my opinions, so use what's helpful, leave what's not.

It's much easier to see your gear if you make a Lighter Pack

If you can/haven't already bought, I would suggest a lighter weight sleeping bag or quilt. You can get a used bag or quilt in the 100-200 range. Sometimes even less if someone is starting out with MYOG (make your own gear). r/ULgeartrade and r/GearTrade as well as facebook gear trade groups are good places to look.

A better/warmer sleeping bag can also help you avoid needing the liner (for warmth at least).

I would take the 2 smart waters and leave the bladder.

I prefer wind pants to rain pants, particularly these Dance Pants

Knife and scissors generally do the same job, scissors are easier to use and the blade can be used like a knife.

That was very helpful - thanks! I was slightly worried about Ivermectin, but it seems like people have had good results with it.

There is the horse one like they suggested, but I also saw one for small animals called "Beaphar Anti-Parasite Spot On For Small Animals". Seems like it could be effective. I think I may go with the horse one, though, since people have experience with it?

I'll be honest, I have had terrible experiences with everlast gloves. Over the past 10 years, I've gone through at least 8 different pairs. They fall apart very easily. I finally picked myself up some leather [Title Gloves]

I bought it because it looks like an engaging exercise tool, weightlifting is getting boring and I don't see myself getting into tai chi or yoga.

I've only had it about a day and I already enjoy it so I may spend money down the road on a higher-end sword.

u/flanl · 0 pointsr/SWORDS

$35 and everyone loves it.

I don't own it, but I've seen it in vidyas, and it's on my to-buy list. It's usually priced at $60.

-----
EDIT:

I just saw this Amazon comment:

>I first ordered this in early June and liked the sword so much, I ordered another just to have around in case I damaged the first one.

>The second one I recieved was completely different from the first: I don't even think it's from the same manufacturer. It's definitely not the sword shown in the picture and it's no where near as nice as the first is.

>I suspect the seller ran out of the original sword that everyone was giving positive reviews and decided to ride the gravy train by quietly switching to a different sword.

>EDIT: I've added an image of the two side-by-side to show some of the differences.

It might be wiser to pony up $60 to True Swords, which is a very reputable seller.

These guys are being flaming assholes. Some people vent through physical exertion. It is necessary to learn to control your anger to the point where you will not physically lash out at something or someone that doesn't deserve it. However, it seems to me that's exactly what you're trying to do here. If you aren't at a place yet where you can just suppress the destructive urge when you're angry, you're at least at a place where you can understand when you're calm that wrecking shit isn't okay.

To that end, a [http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0046XKIC2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1462334102&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=Standing+punching+bag&dpPl=1&dpID=31ehvDXQAIL&ref=plSrch](standing punching bag) might be helpful to you. They can be a bit on the expensive side, though. Failing that, keep in mind your pillow could always use an aggressive fluffing.

All that said, this should ideally be a temporary measure until you get to the point where you can suppress your desire to destroy things even when you're angry. If your anger is bad enough that you're not able to stop yourself from doing things you'll regret later, sooner or later that's going to come back to bite you in a big way. There are classes for that kind of thing, and they're not the farce the memes and movies make them out to be.

Good luck on your journey of self-improvement. Don't listen to the obnoxious dicks that want to bring you down just because you're not finished yet.
