I suggest securing the backpack to the bike (shouldn't be a problem with the rack I see there). This will keep fatigue levels down, as well as general comfort and safety.

If you are interested, look into Rok Straps - I have been using them for decades and they have never failed me and are simple to use. Happy riding!

u/Dragoniel · 6 pointsr/bikecommuting

Cool! That's a serious distance! Also, I highly recommend a simple phone mount on your handlebars - you can then use your phone for maps, Strava and even music streaming or chats, if you'd be so inclined, without having to stop all the time.

u/andrewdroth · 5 pointsr/motocamping

I've been really happy with the OverBoard Dry Duffel and ROK Straps for my motocamping setup.

But I have a nice rack to strap down to. Your CBR might not be as accommodating without some other add-ons.

Do I need a fuse for a USB charger?

https://www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Adapter-Waterproof-Motorcycle-Cellphone/dp/B01MSK7ZAV/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=motorcycle+usb&qid=1557912571&s=gateway&sr=8-17

Does that...matter? I know what a fuse does, and I realize we're directly hooking a battery to my cell phone. So it seems like it has value, but none of the other products have one. Is it not needed?

u/woofwoofdog99 · 5 pointsr/bicycling

Yes. It's this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00OQJ5VPK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1453007063&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=tackform+bike&dpPl=1&dpID=41Kq80HRPSL&ref=plSrch

I have a nexus 6p now and it works perfect for it and before I had a nexus 6 which was even bigger and still held up. I love it and its only $10. Have done 50+ mi rides on super rough trails with it and never had problems. You just have to make sure you use the rubber webbing on the 4 corners and the phones not coming off (learned that one the hard way lol)

u/bendvis · 3 pointsr/motorcycles

I'd order up a chain breaker & riveting tool. I don't have any first hand experience with this one in particular, but it's got decent reviews on Amazon and costs under $30.

u/thisguyeric · 3 pointsr/motorcycles

I bought this for my bike: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0142IHKX0/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_HF4sDbE2X61YD

I'm sure it won't last forever, but it keeps the bike dry during storms and it clips around the wheels so it stays on in wind no problem. I don't cover the bike if it's already wet because I don't know how breathable the cover is, but if the bike is dry and I know it is going to rain I cover it up.

u/brokedown · 3 pointsr/scooters

. 3M High Reflective tape. This stuff is incredible if you ride at night.

. Top case with extra brake light. The extra storage is super handy, and the extra light and surface area make you easier to see. Plus, you can apply more highly reflective tape to the flat black parts of the case!

. New full face helmet, from a good brand, and with good reviews.

. Full tune-up with oil change, air filter, spark plug. Check your brake pads, tire pressure, and tread depth while you're at it.

u/spacemark · 3 pointsr/motorcycles

These Cortech bags. They were good, did their job. The waterproof covers are a bit of a joke, but hey, what do you expect at 70 mph in the rain.

u/philc79 · 3 pointsr/vandwellers

I've seen more than a few people over the years at the track use this to tote their sport bikes which weigh upwards of 400lbs+ http://www.amazon.com/Mounted-Motorcycle-Carrier-Capacity-Loading/dp/B002M3ODTC
The downside is your bike is out in the elements.

u/EvilStig · 3 pointsr/motorcycles

idk how your bike is built but I would assume a head-lift stand would allow you to service the forks. It supports it via a pin set into the bottom of the triple clamp. https://www.amazon.com/Venom-Motorcycle-Triple-Headlift-Kawasaki/dp/B00CX7L1LA

u/johnkiniston · 3 pointsr/scooters
u/piesboobsnale · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Just to jump in on what /u/kittennought has said, you do NEED a good jacket, boots etc. If you're worried about carrying gear around, invest in a topbox to store your helmet and jacket so you don't have to carry them around with you. Unfortunately heavy gear is part of owning and riding a motorcycle. Also, make sure that you get boots with ankle support. Jeans are okay, leather/armored trousers are better.

u/blind30 · 3 pointsr/hondagrom

Not sure if they're available in the UK- They're good bags for the price, fit the grom nicely

u/dnorm00 · 3 pointsr/boostedscooters

for those concerned with locking it up outside...a few pro tips:

  1. Use a kryptonite New York U lock. Decent amount of choices in that line...I use this one: extra long heavy duty u lock
  2. For extra protection also use a disc brake lock, the one i use is here: Kryptonite Disc Brake Lock
  3. Strap a loud ass alarm to it. I have this one, and can tell you it will deter someone from trying to mess with the above two heavy duty locks...It's absurdly loud, even by busy NYC street standards: absurdly loud, remote lockable alarm
  4. Lock it in areas with consistent street traffic and doubly confirm the structure you are locking to is firmly in place
u/XxGas-Cars-SuckxX · 2 pointsr/bikecommuting

this one Had to change the cheap AAAs after 6 months. Very loud.

disk brake alarm Had to open it and resolder a wire after ~8 months. I put it in the rear triangle on the brake. Very loud as well.

heres the GPS tracker. There’s many other options though.

Found this one as i was browsing through amazon

u/SoftwareMaven · 2 pointsr/CalamariRaceTeam

I got this chain rivet tool/breaker, and it worked great to rivet the chain, but I would never trust it to break a fully riveted chain. You need an angle grinder to take the tops off the pins first. That said, if you've got the cash, go for the Motion Pro. Your friends will thank you.

As far as brakes are concerned, there are a lot of options, from Windex spray pump things to quick bleeders to vacuum hand pumps to air compressor vacuum pumps. Honestly, motorcycle brakes are pretty simple since you can reach the brake actuator and the bleeder screw together.

u/Plutoid · 2 pointsr/SVRiders

Oh, so that's what the HF cheapies look like. lol I was going to get one but ended up opting for something even cheaper on Amazon.

u/madeinCHYYNAA · 2 pointsr/motorcycles

Sounds like you need a hitch carrier. I don't have any specific recommendations regarding brands, etc., but this is the sort of thing that will likely work for you: https://www.amazon.com/Black-Widow-SMC-600R-Motorcycle-Carrier-600lb/dp/B002M3ODTC. On average these things seem to be rated for around a 600 lb capacity, so I'd think a dirt bike would be perfectly safe to transport using one of these.

u/919hornet · 2 pointsr/doordash

I've got a Honda 919 (hence the name :D). Naked standard with a retro 'hoodlum' look. I got a nice size tank bag that holds the CamelBac backpak and other stuff.

They are kinda like these: https://www.amazon.com/Cortech-8230-0305-36-Black-Super-Saddlebag/dp/B008Q5J6UG

But bigger and square shaped. The outer part of them expand with a zipper to about 2X the size. If you put a bracket between them, below the seat where the rear fender would be, they can handle some pretty good weight. I lock mine under the seat and have a net and straps in case things are larger.

What I want now, is a fold down cloth bag that has rigid foam that folds out to cover the rear seat and attaches to the bags, for things like pizzas and larger orders.

Basically if you look at a truck organizer, but with rigid foam board for the side and have it break down for storage.

Like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Collapsible-Folding-Trunk-Organizer-Caddy-Car-Auto-Truck-Storage-Bin-Bag-New/107440840?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=709&adid=22222222227042534523&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=107048086637&wl4=aud-566049426705:pla-172685740638&wl5=9032530&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112343202&wl11=online&wl12=107440840&wl13=&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiA7vTiBRAqEiwA4NTO67bl_-NI_2bkPKGVcqfSdeBWjlj5e9VwqcxFAD3_xZcaUMIjvy6bahoC4z8QAvD_BwE

But smaller and add some foam sides and straps.

Here's the deal. It costs me about $0.08/mile or so to ride for gas. We get $0.58/mile for tax write off for regular maint. So far, it looks like most of my earnings are tax free, meaning (if I understand it correctly) I have about as much write offs as I have earnings. So the game is, best MPG you can get and most orders in the least time you can get.

If you get to $15/hr after taxes, account for gas, etc... You're close to maybe the $20 gross earnings range. Meanwhile, I'm riding around listening to music and getting food for people... Laughing at people stuck in traffic :D

u/ztherion · 2 pointsr/motorcycles

I'm going to give you an anti-recommendation: These cheap covers you see in many people's photos are advertised as waterproof, but are thin and really not suitable for outdoor usage. They're fantastic for indoor storage though.

Sena is a brand, they sell helmet bluetooths and 2-way mics and now they have some integrated Cam/Mic systems: https://www.amazon.com/Sena-10C-01-Motorcycle-Bluetooth-Communication/dp/B0100F7QOC

u/ninjaontour · 2 pointsr/northernireland

I've personally seen 3 hoods in broad daylight (about 1PM) stealing a motorbike from that spot. One on either side holding it up, while the third lay on his back on the seat and kicked the fuck out of the handlebars to try and break the steering lock.

If you've got a disc lock, you should be fine parking wherever you like. I've never had any problems with a good visible Kryptonite lock.

u/Butterbuddha · 2 pointsr/Harley

If I had to do it again I would. It is heavy AF, and awkward to get home. (As far as I know they will only help you get it into a pickup truck. Heavy end forward of course, but that makes it really hard to unload by yourself) As others have mentioned, the front chock should probably be replaced with something beefier, (I used this) and it doesn't spin worth a shit. The ramp does come off easily but it obviously does take up a motorcycle's worth of space in the garage.

But other than that, its fluffy white clouds. If you couple it with one of these you will be ready for anything. I threw a couple extra C clamps on it for additional mobile tie downs, useful if you want to raise the front or the back wheel.

u/reeldazed · 2 pointsr/Denver

I keep these on my Harley when I am not on it, one on the front and one on the rear. Can't steal it if you can't move it.

The cheap tools like this will work for the home mechanic. A lot of people complain about breaking them. From what I've read, you can extend the life of the tool by doing a few key things:

  • Lube the bolts on the tool with quality oil. Couple drops of your standard engine oil should do the trick. Many people complain about stripping or cracking the bolt.

  • Center the pin on the rivet when pressing rivets out. Many people complain about breaking or bending the pin when taking a chain apart.

  • Just be gentle and know it's a cheaper tool. Don't go gorilla on it.

Get locking luggage. It's not cheap, but once you have it you'll wonder why you ever rode without it. Givi makes great stuff, but you pay for it. There are much cheaper options that work just as well, for example I've had this case on my V-Strom since '08 (~30K miles) without any problems. Givi is pretty much the only game in town when it comes to affordable locking side cases though. I use their E21 side cases: they're the narrowest side cases they make. You can stuff a jacket into the e21, it's snug but it'll fit.

u/TimelessNY · 2 pointsr/CRF250L

I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y38MF3K

I enjoy it because you can tighten it down and then pull on it and say "nope, that ain't going anywhere". It is like a mini version of transporting the bike on a hitch mount.

I use a samsung galaxy s5 though. If you have one of those small tablets people are calling phones nowadays you may want to go with the RAM.

u/AHairySomeone · 1 pointr/motorcycles

I purchased my 2016 R3 brand new. I dropped it the third day I had it and bent the footpeg. Replaced it for $20. I later dropped it on grass. No damage. The third time I dropped it the clutch lever broke and I scratched the sticker on it. Big bulb turn signal cushioned the fall and plastics took almost no damage. $10 for a new lever.

I'm going to keep this bike for a long time. It's already paid off in full so it's just insurance and maintenance from now on.

I wanted the cleanest look possible but state law forces me to have some sort of turn signals rather than just an integrated taillight. YMMV.
Try this for low cost?

Some upgrades:
Bike stands front and rear: $70

Saddlemen seat (comes with pillion seat): $200

Eventually some better tires: ~$200

1WD-F41B1-00-P0 (Matte tank center to replace my glossy black): $30

No fender eliminators for me. I'd rather my plastics take a hit than the shock getting sent through to the frame. Although I suppose after a certain point it won't matter.

Head over to the R3 forums. Plenty of cool people and mods there.

Bike cover and cheap saddlebag recommendations? Hoping to spend under $200 total. Currently looking at the Cortech Super 2.0 but have no idea what to look for in terms of covers. About to go back to school and will be losing my garage, thus the cover need. The saddlebags would be used for holding my gear while I'm not riding, as well as a small gym bag or other miscellaneous items. I'm not particularly worried about locking the bags as motorcycle parking at school is all in high traffic areas and well covered by cameras.

u/kyzen · 1 pointr/bicycling

It's actually pretty hideous and quite bulky; but I have one on a number of our bikes (used to use our phones for Strava, before we Garmin'd up), including a couple of mountain bikes, and I like the protection that the case part provides for those times I send the thing flying off and tumbling down a hill... so I'm willing to put up with the ugliness.

Also, they seem to change the model slightly sometimes without really indicating it on the Amazon page. I received a couple last December that had a weird ball-and-joint mount that raised the phone case like 3 inches off my bars, instead of the simple clamp style mount I have in use in the picture here. Same phone case part though.

All that said, here's the link

front stand - you want the kind that uses a pin that fits into the lower triple such as this one

rear stand - any stand will do as long as it's wide enough. the 20 dollar kind from harbor freight works just fine if you have a sport bike, for a wider cruiser it won't be wide enough. people that tell you that you need to spend 150 bucks on a stand are nuts, it's a stand for a home garage, there is no need to go overboard.

I lived in a ghetto apartment complex and that is exactly what I did. I ran the chain through the frame and around a big pipe that went through the ceiling and floor. Then I parked my car in front of it so that no one could wheel it out even if they did break the chain and lock. But it was just an old GS500. If I had a late model sportbike I doubt it would have gone a week without getting stolen.

Garbage bag could also do the job. See which ends up being lighter/as study as you need it to be. I bought a Seal Line dry bag off Amazon before a recent tour, and it ended up being this strange, quasi-conical shape (rather than a cylinder of the same radius for its entire length). Haven't used it since because of the strange shape.

I felt the same when I first got mine, would barely let it out of my sight when I parked it.

But look at it this way, try and pick it up, the things aren't exactly light, so it's unlikely someone is going to walk off with it, between that and the kill switch and you should be fine in most places.

If you feel better with some extra security though one of these things or a heavy duty bike chain and lock should be good

2012 DL650A owner here. The Suzuki version of the SW-Motech mounting racks that we have are actually not quite standard - at least, the trunk rack isn't. Suzuki modified it specifically because they don't want you to to be able to easily mount the box without buying it from Suzuki. Canadians got more color selection and the trunk came with the bike, not sold as a ridiculously overpriced after-purchase addon. Bastards. I just got one of these instead:

I would like to hear pros and cont, specially regarding rain and inadvertent battery discharging due to the installation.

Obviously the first option is simpler, but I don't want to have extra cabling and I am specially worried about battery drainage.

Edited: To extent my comment.

Many thanks for all the info -- if I, as another recent Guzzisti convert, can ever be of help, please don't hesitate to PM me. V pleased to hear it's same mounting set up, the wind fatigue is manageable until I'm spending hours doing 80 on the freeways here (as I'm sure you can relate to). Don't really like the look of any fairing on the bike, but it sounds like it's relatively easy to pop on/off

Alas at my height I'm reluctant to go to the racer clip-ons, as anything that would bring my hands further forward would probably increase my size problem. I'm halfway on the pillion seat just to have my knees in the proper position (where you have your pads). I've also looked in to dropping my pegs but popular opinion (AKA internet/forum queries) seems to indicate there is very little room on this model (about ~.5' on the clutch side). Oh well, time to start shopping for a 2nd bike :)

Like the sounds of your future mods, definitely want to see pics when you wrap the tank. In terms of the seat/grips - many say the stock seat is garbage, but I don't think it's so bad. At the same time, don't think you're missing out on much (and if you want, I'd swap mine for yours). The stock grips I wouldn't worry at all about (unless you like the look), they're really about as basic and boring as they come

In terms of your soft bags - the one quick fix I would say is get some Rok-straps these ones, just make sure you don't get the smaller size as they don't hold up well. Obviously you're limited in what you can do with those, but I think it's probably the best $22 I've spent on anything gear/equipment related. I used to almost always ride with a backpack on the back, but now I always strap it down. I didn't realize how nice it feels to be completely free on there and now I can't go back, even if it means taking the time to strap down before a <30m ride. I also, as needed, can now fill my backpack & strap something else down (example: went to Target recently and bought a few small things (into the backpack) but got an appliance in a box that was ~2.5'x1'x1', and I previously would not have been able to transport while riding (definitely not in the backpack, and probably not in most saddle/tail bags either) but I just strapped it down and rode from Long Beach back to Santa Monica w/ it no problem). No mods needed, you just loop em through the passenger bars underneath the rear of the seat. It also would probably be even more useful for you than I, as I have less room on the back half of the seat as per my earlier height issue comment. For multi-day rides you'll probably still want double bags, but for <1-2 day rides you will thank yourself and me

The ECU re-map just changes the fuel injection configuration (I will assume you're talking about Todd/GT's remap, but if it's something else then let me know) from stock - although Todd recommends (and performed on my bike) adjustments to the evap cannister and tip valve accompany it. I got the remap now as: it is borderline mandatory after changing exhaust hardware, I'm planning to get new exhaust in the next month or 2, Todd already had my bike in his shop for my 600mi service, and Todd will do free re-maps for 12 months after initial purchase (so I'll get it done again once I buy the megs from him). I'll admit that the change (while still on stock exhaust) is not massive, but probably still worth the $350 it cost (think it's $500 if you can't bring it in, but probably still worth it IMHO). It's extremely smooth when I cold start the bike now (before, 1 in 10 times it would die, even when it didn't die the revs didn't sound quite right and would bog down until warm). Torque is more even, especially noticeable in 1st gear (making heavy traffic, low speed filtering much more manageable / less jerky). 6th gear is much better as well. Think there may be a small overall power improvement across the board, but it's hard for me to say for sure as I only had ~750mi on it before the change was made

Sorry for the long ass post but I'm not very good at being succinct

I have this one by Nelson Rigg.

Pros: Cheap for a name brand cover. The compression bag that it comes with for storage is just awesome, you can very quickly stuff the cover in the bag and reduce its mass to the size of a softball, this is very handy for carrying on the bike. It has large heavy duty nylon reinforced rings on the lower side to bungee the cover on the bike and heat resistant lowers to protect from exhaust heat, which both seem to work in my experience.

Cons: None that I know of, however I cannot say much about the durability of the cover other than it looks and feels well-built and that Nelson Rigg products are generally tough. I have had it maybe 5 months but have only used it about 6 times on trips, I do not use it / store it outside on a daily basis.

I did a quick search online and it doesn't look like there are any side case mounting options for your bike. Top racks do exist which will give you more room for stuff on the back. You'll probably pack way more than you need but that happens to everyone on their first trip; I remember bringing so much crap that I thought I needed but I never ended up using. I know a lot of people here recommend ROK straps. I am really paranoid about stuff falling off so I use rachet or camlock straps (super cheap from Harbor Freight). The downside is they may scuff up your bike if you're not careful and let them rub on the fairings but I never had a problem.

I have a cheapo (~$30) tank bag from Coleman, yes the camping gear company. It's got 8 magnets that stick to the tank pretty well. If your tank cover is plastic then you'll need to get a bag with detachable straps. It comes with a rain cover but I never needed it.

As for the charger, I got something like this; the leads attach to your battery terminals and you can run/strap it along your frame up to your handlebars (I had my phone in my tank bag). Just make sure that your SAE cable has a fuse on it. The 2.4A USB adapter makes charging your phone a cinch plus it also tell you your battery voltage.

Regarding the distance that's easily doable in half a day. I'm not familiar with the ergos of your bike but make sure to stop often just to stretch your legs and move other parts of your body.

please STOP perpetuating that stupid myth about smartphones not being able to route or do tracks when you are out of cell coverage. Iphones and Androids can download maps ahead of time (just like with your stand alone GPS) which allow you to continue to use it when you are well OUTSIDE of cell coverage. I have used my cell phone as a GPS for on and off road for over 3 yrs now without fail (and I didn't spend an extra $600 to do it). Even a decent Garmin GPS will set you back at least $400 (I don't count the 60, 62, 76 and variants because their screens are too damn small to be effective). I also stream music to my Sena SMH10r . There are a plethura of sites that help you to easily set this up. For mostly road use, I recommend a cheap GPS or use your smartphone but if you do moderate off road, I would recommend something with a hardier plug which is what tends to be the problem (I don't mind so much since it's actually a rather easy fix on my Galaxy S4 were it to be damaged).

Tents.... do not buy too cheap on this. I have tried a lot of tents and finally settled on the Ledge Sports Recluse here . It is a three man but really just comfortable enough for two mostly, roomy with a loft and packs really small with poles that are less than a foot long collapsed (easy to fit in panniers and bags).

Personally I would make sure you find something really comfortable to sleep on. I use a blow up mattress and a pump that plugs that goes into my motorcycle to fill it up. Most the pads you see are overpriced/expensive and crap on your back or for side sleepers. If you get a hole that you can't fix, how hard is to find a WalMart or a Target to buy a new one for around 20 to 50 bucks depending on the size you want. I prefer a queen size, great for added weight and so damn comfortable. If my old Coleman Quickbed ever dies, I will be picking up the Coleman Durarest here.

I take my phone, my Nexus 7 with 4G and my small laptop with me everywhere. I have a USB Stick chock full of reading material, music and movies....never get bored and when I want to relax and gaze at the stars, only a power button stands in my way.

Phones can get you into trouble. My buddy called me one night when I was out, this was real late, like around 11 pm. He made a joke about having a soundboard that does bear, wolf or cougar sounds and walking around outside scaring people. I checked the net and found some bear sounds that I downloaded and we joked about it. I went to sleep later after having a number of beers and when I woke up around 2 am to go relieve myself, I carried my phone with me to use as a flashlight. When I was coming back, I passed near this tent of these lesbians and played some Bear sounds. I could hear them freaking a bit and I quickly scammered back into my tent. About half an hour later, a ranger comes by my tent and asks if I have heard any noises. I tell him "you mean...You waking me up". You might ask how I know they were Lesbians and what that has to do with anything but that involves more to tell that I couldn't sum up in a few paragraphs. Suffice is to say that when I am camping, I avoid children, young couples and now, Lesbians.

Good Luck with your endeavors!

If you mount it right you could have the lens facing any way you want.

My first accessory (besides earplugs) was this, a helmet headset that lets me talk to my family and listen to music over Bluetooth. It makes my commute a lot less boring, and it encourages me to call my family a little more often.

It's kind of expensive for a secret Santa, but it comes highly recommended.

I picked these up last year and they lift the bike pretty solid. Pretty heavy stands for the price. Spools are about 15$ depending on the style etc. Really helps with chain cleaning/ lubricating, rear tire/ brake work etc. The "grunge brush" is a fantastic tool as well. Also cheap, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000BS02LS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1370220336&sr=8-1&pi=SL75
May not be "fun" gifts but endlessly useful if not already owned. happy spending!
Edit: just adding something to 6x9equals42's post, excellent ideas

I don’t use a cell phone mount. I use these in my helmet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BTSFN54?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title and just turn on my maps with some music. I’ve used it from Texas to Canada riding about ten hours a day and charging it at night. It also will pause your music and GPS if you get a call and resume when you end the call, which makes the wife happy.

I picked up this one as my BMW is a bit shy of 500lbs:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002M3ODTC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've yet put it together however.

I got this one couple weeks ago :

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y38MF3K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looked like the safest option for my 1000$ Pixel 2 phone. Would have cancelled the project of getting a phone mount otherwise.

Edit : got a rubber case also, feared of cracking the phone's glass as this thing can squeeze pretty tight.

u/Solid716 · 1 pointr/motorcycles

I use the "Max Miles" phone holder. Less then $20 off Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y38MF3K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works fine, I've been up to 140 with my phone strapped on this thing. I trust it and recommend it.

Yes, no need to go OEM on this, also get a rivet tool and save your self the cost and trouble of going to the shop. Something like this will remove links and dimple the rivet. Be sure to count the links in your old chain and check the manual to be sure you are using the right amount. A quick search shows the following: OEM Sprocket Sizes - 15T Front Sprocket / 39T Rear Sprocket OEM Chain - 525 Pitch / 104 Links.
