For people saying they need this..you can already buy them, they are uhs-ii SD cards. most are around 270-300MB/s read/write, so I don't see how Sony's release or this article very impressive.

If you want to know if a camera can support these speeds, look to see if it support uhs-ii type SD card. They have an extra set of high speed differential pins on the bottom of the card

7D Mark II,
7D Mark I even if you want to save a heap of cash.
New Canon 90D.
Would recommend the 7D's used from a reputable used reseller like B&H Photo, KEH.com or MPB.com.
Those would be my primary contenders. As for 'lag' are you sure you are buying fast SD cards? Like the really expensive ones, because slower SD cards will delay your buffer from clearing and generally slow the camera down. Something likethis should be a good choice, or in case of many ofthe above mentioned cameras, CF cards.
You want to use Sleepyhead for detailed analysis. You can put an SD card in the ResMed it will write detailed info to it, then put that SD card in your computer to get the data off and into Sleepyhead.
I use this sweet wireless SD card that just appears on my network now, so from my computer I can just connect to it and copy the files.
Was a little tricky to get working, but very nice once I did.
A common misconception about Nintendo, by both gamers and non-gamers alike, is that Nintendo's happy family-friendly persona means the games are meant for kids. They're meant for everyone.
No one is too old for Mario -- Nintendo are geniuses at level design and the Mario games are fantastic. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Super Smash Bros, Persona Q, Monster Hunter (best played with a Circle Pad Pro) -- all fantastic games.
You could also get him a large SD card. I got this one from Amazon. It's massive and relatively cheap. Excellent for downloaded games.
I would also suggest getting him a case of some kind. I have a case from Waterfield Designs for my PS Vita that I adore, and they make the same cases fit for a 3DS here. They go for $12 for a suede sleeve, to $45 and $49 for the cases. I have the CitySlicker and it's fantastic. Quality materials, soft interior, a zip pouch on the back good for earbuds and games, and three slots under the front pouch for other games. They also boast an excellent support staff to boot.
What sd card would you recommend, I don't know which cards above 4 gb work well with modded wii's.
edit: I'm looking at this sd, is it compatible for modding? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Class-SDHC-Memory-Card/dp/B007JRB0SS
edit 2: But if anyone can run this through usbloader, care to share how?
edit 3: Bought it, works.
Amazon has Lexar 2000X 64GB SDXC Uhs-II cards for $55. I ordered 3 (that's the limit)

Any GPs features I found where on camera side or just preloaded map data. But https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-FlashAir-Wireless-Memory-PFW032U-1CCW/dp/B00UOYPZP2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503509963&sr=8-1&keywords=wifi+sd+cards says it can be accessed trough internet, so if you have that feature turned on, and the camera is turned on in area with open wifi, you could theoretically use the address to locate the nearest wifi. But because there likely is not DNS routing for your camera, and the ip for the card is determined based on the wifi it currently is on, you would have to do constant ip and port scanning, which might be illegal. Most of these cards work as wifi hotspots and not as devices that join to outside wifi, so these would only be visible to devices that scan for wifis, so unless you share a hotel with the thief, very unlikely that you find it trough that.
I've got ya covered
FreeTail Evoke Pro 1000x 128GB SDXC UHS-II/U3 Card, Up to 240 MB/s v60 (FTSD128A10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074PVQJR1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_UPkvQPyAWrT7U
I saw a post on these cards maybe a week ago and bought a couple to try them out and they work great- they’re cheaper than the bigger name brands like SanDisk but are V60 and have great write speeds and are fully compatible with any shooting mode the GH5 presents even C4K/10bit/400mbps. Really great and cheap cards
1-- Yes. Went to Japan for an entire month to photograph everything from the people to the aftermath. Buy a really nice point and shoot to carry around. I always recommend the Lumix series. L internals and panasonic outside. Best bang for your buck. After a few days of 'scouting' find out what you really want to spend some time photographing with your nicer gear. If you have 5 months that is plenty of time to plan. Think of it this way, when you are home and photographing you usually don't just go to a place with your DSLR and capture 'the moments,' instead after multiple trips of knowing exactly what you want and how you will get it the pictures get better and better. Lumix for scouting and D7000 for execution. If there is a day that you don't know if you will be able to revisit bring the D7000.
Also I missed out on a lot of good experiences in Japan because I had about 15 pounds of crap with me 24x7 because I didn't want to 'miss' anything. After awhile I was tired of carrying a minimum of 15 pounds. By the end of the day it felt like 20-25 (especially if I bought gifts.) I didn't even want to photograph stuff later in the day.
2-- Don't shoot raw. I shoot raw at home for weddings etc. On trips I bring 8 cards ranging from 16-32 gigs in a pelican card carrier. I think if memory serves the D7000 shoots about 2,000 jpeg photos on a 16 gig card. So 5 months, lets do a little math. I say what, 200 pictures a day on average? Comes out to about 16 16 gig cards. So break that down, get 8 32 gig cards and you will be covered.
Link to cards I use - These cards are a great in between value. I have class 10 'speed' cards for shooting raw non stop. I rarely shoot raw that fast. Rarely as in I forget what card is in my camera 90% of the time because it never fills the buffer. Also you know it will be fast enough for video. Not to mention I have had like 10 of these cards and they are solid as a rock.
This case, just buy it... - This case will float down the river ahead of you while you are about to die in the rapids singing, 'I will survive.'
Remember your experience as a person should overlap the idea of missing a great photo.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
*On a side note about raw vs. jpeg, I have seen more tests and shot over 150k shots myself on the D7000 switching between raw (convert to dng) and jpeg best quality 14 bit. I never see any differences outside of shots that I f- up and need to fix badly. That doesn't mean I can even fix them, just that they are salvageable. Why I shoot raw for weddings. There is never a time when I can't get a good exposure on travel though. Maybe a stop or two off, but that alone doesn't justify shooting raw. I have to (once in a while) save some shot that is taken after I switch rooms 5 times in a row and don't have time to adjust my settings. Bam, it's THE shot and they want it. I can make it look 'decent' with raw. Jpeg not so much.
There's two main adapters worth your while you may or may not be aware of. First the Metabones Speed Booster from Canon to MFT which has full electronic control and reduces the focal length to make it equivalent of having the lens on a APS-C body (roughly). The same happens with aperture making efectively 1 stop brighter and even sharper.
This is an expensive adapter so there's the cheap solution with the Mitakon Zhongyi Lens Turbo II that, unlike the Metabones, does not have electronics but does quite a nice job for around 1/3 of the price. The Nikon version does have an aperture control ring, not sure about the others. You can use a cheap adapter ring to get the Pentax to fit any of these I believe.
As for a tripod I'd look into the AmazonBasics workhorse (I know, I know) that you may be skeptical about, and yes, it's not perfect but for the price it's an amazing piece of gear.
SD Card-wise I have a couple of these and they've been working wonders.
I've seen general praise over SmallRig cage so you may want to look into that. You can get just the basic cage or you can add a handle a ton of other stuff.
I don't think you'd need an external recorder right now and even if you got it, the signal that the G7 outputs it's kind of weak. 8 Bit 4:2:0 as far as I remember (maybe 4:2:2 but the real difference would be 10 Bit). The general rule of thumb is always shoot 4K and use it on 1080 timelines. That makes for a super detailed 1080 image that has room for reframing.
You can get some bang for the buck LED Lights in the Yongnuo Yn 300 III with even cheaper prices if you get a slightly older model. They are not spectacular but I think you can't go wrong for the price and they output quite an amount of light. Here is a review just so you can see them in action. This guy uses a G7 with a Lumix 25mm 1.7 I believe so that may give a more real life scenario.
That's all I can think right now, I hope you find some if this stuff useful and congrats on your purchase, it's an awesome little camera, I think it will work wonders for your kind of projects.
Why don't you get a few more memory cards? SanDisk 16 GB Ultra SDHC cards are very cheap, as low as $13 on Amazon.
I haven't tried anything like this with the Wyze, but I regularly use a Toshiba FlashAir card to transfer data from my CPAP machine (thanks to a couple of ingenious devs).
The FlashAir can be setup in station mode. It will stay connected to your home wifi and act as a LAN client, so it will be available as any other network share. The contents of the FlashAir can then be regularly mirrored to a more accessible network location (like another computer or NAS). From there, you could view footage whenever you wanted or just preserve it as a backup.
Here's the card:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UOYPZP2/
The FlashAir takes a little bit of setup and there's a firmware update that's needed. This can help:
https://mattshub.com/2017/04/11/flashair-sd-card/
Another CPAP user (TiredToo) made a Java app that automates the mirroring process:

Damn dude! I need a job at a camera store!
I got the Free Tail card from Amazon, and it has been working great! Continuous recording until the card is full at 400 Mbps.

This Sony on is $86.89 https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Memory-UHS-II-R260MB-SF-M128/dp/B01D8H0D8A/
This Lexar one is $88.99 https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-Professional-128GB-UHS-II-LSD128CRBNA1000/dp/B00PLENZPC/
But yeah, the standard sandisk extreme pro is still $200+

It's not a bad way to spend $6.
This link explains the U, UHS, and Class ratings. What you'll want to look for is UHS-I/U3 cards for your camera, they're the fastest you'll be able to get at ~95MB/s which is effectively the limit at which the cards are capable of, and they're relatively inexpensive now.
Hi /u/Treehouse-Of-Horror - I shoot with the BMPCC and recommend it highly.
This camera is terrific, but, if you ever decide to take it out of the studio and into the field, you will find that its ergonomics and battery capacity leave a lot to be desired. You will also need to address the camera's high data rate storage requirements (especially for RAW) and your specific need to adapt your existing lenses.
Ergonomics
With a [£9 cold shoe adapter] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NHA6HVG/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00NHA6HVG&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21), a [£24 pistol grip] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MRNP2LA/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00MRNP2LA&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21) and a [£99.90 LCD Viewfinder] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GSM97J4/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00GSM97J4&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21) you will have a setup that is much easier to shoot with.
Here is what my handheld BMPCC setup looks like: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-f3hbYYV_y8o/VHDp77GMxoI/AAAAAAAAJF8/xnHRvNcCm5o/w724-h543-no/P1020575.JPG
Battery Capacity
For me, it is too much hassle to switch batteries all the time, so I recommend an external battery solution. With a couple of [£8 Sony NP-F550 batteries] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0093CL5OG/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B0093CL5OG&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21) mounted on a [£34 NP-F to V mount adapter] (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575034783&toolid=10001&campid=5337235943&customid=&icep_item=361158351253&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg) in your pocket and connected to your camera with a [£23.50 D-tap to BMPCC cable] (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575034783&toolid=10001&campid=5337235943&customid=&icep_item=171604161280&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg), you can run your camera for hours on one set of batteries.
You might want to consider an [£11 dual battery charger] (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575034783&toolid=10001&campid=5337235943&customid=&icep_item=171444172813&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg) so you can recharge both batteries at the same time.
Storage
As others have said, you don't just need a "decent" SD card. The only SD card that works with the camera in all recording modes is the [£81.85 Sandisk 64GB 95Mbps Extreme Pro] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005LFT3UW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B005LFT3UW&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21)
Adapting Canon EF lenses
Coming from Canon, you will also need an adapter that gives you manual aperture control. I recommend the [£23.50 DSLRKIT Canon EF to micro 4/3 adapter with manual aperture] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007KG4QKC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B007KG4QKC&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-21).
Bottom line, it will take another few hundred pounds to get up and running after you buy the camera - but the image quality will be worth it.
Hope this is helpful!
AngelBird cards are for shit. You can try formatting them in the camera, but if that doesn't help any,
Try this: https://www.amazon.com/FreeTail-Evoke-1000x-UHS-II-FTSD128A10/dp/B074PVQJR1/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=freetail+v60&qid=1563326765&s=gateway&sr=8-1
I have used these cards at 400Mbps until the card filled up.
Canon T3i goes for $350 Used on B&H
Get two extra batteries on Amazon for $21
Finish it off with a 32GB SDHC Sandisk card for $18
>I have lot's of issues with Retropie. The HDMI sound lags and goes out of sync
That's interesting. I have not personally experienced this, so I don't know if I am qualified to comment, but I will do my best to offer help or suggestions for troubleshooting.
Are there other processes running on the pi?
I have noticed that if I have an SSH connection into the pi and/or I am transferring ROMs to the pi via network share, that gameplay is absolutely terrible. This usually resolves when the copy is complete or the SSH session is closed, but sometimes I find I have to reboot the pi to restore reliable emulation.
As for sound issues from the HDMI, the only issue I have noticed is that the audio in the Gameboy Advance emulator (GpSP) seems to be distorted or over driven on most of the games. My fix was to turn the master volume in Emulation Station down to 80-85% and just turn up the volume on the TV.
My Retropie installation was done using the methods described on the Retropie site. I have no special configs or tweaks, and I have not done anything extra to the raspberry pi.
Could it be your SD card? Perhaps the I/O on the card is not fast enough and is creating a bottleneck which is choking the emulation. I have a
Sandisk Class 10 SDHC card* ^Edit ^(wrong link)* Class 10 SD card which I got from Amazon.I remember reading somewhere (source?... sorry) that the pie can be touchy with certain SD cards, and that SD cards slower than Class 10 can be a major performance hit.
PG 173 of the manual references the 4GB max file limit, page 185 tells you how to change movie resolution.
You can find a copy of the manual here: http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0300010905/05/eos-rebelt5i-700d-im5-en.pdf
As others have said a fast SD card is also necessary so make sure you have a class 10 card or UHS 1 card at a minimum. Something like this would work and be affordable solution: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B013CP3KZ6/ref=psdc_1197396_t2_B0143RT8OY
You don't need to really worry about card speeds (i.e. you don't need the fastest SD card you can find) with a camera like the NX1000, so as long as you get a decent card you'll be fine. I typically go with SanDisk and Lexar cards, though some people use Transcend as well. As far as picking a card goes, make sure it is Class 10, which means it transfers data at a rate of at least 10 MB/s. This is important because a 10 MB/s card and a 40 MB/s card are both Class 10, so you need to look at the specifications of a card to see how fast it actually is.
I would recommend this card. Just pick the size you think you'll need.
Just copy and paste everything from the original SD card to the new one. I recommend getting this http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Class-Adapter-MB-MP32DA-AM/dp/B00IVPU786
Now, if you're wondering/thinking "Wait, that's a microSD! The 3DS takes normal SD!" Well, yes. However it comes with an adapter so it can be used just like a normal SD card. Plus, it's also future-proofing for any other devices you may ever use it with, as well as if you ever choose to get a "New" 3DS, as that uses microSD.
If you would rather not bother with a microSD/Adapter, you can get this instead. http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Speed-Flash-Memory-TS32GSDU1E/dp/B00FB4657C/
I searched and searched for card type issues and am honestly at a loss.
I'm using a sky3ds+ (With newest firmware) with a 64 gb microsd and formatted it to Fat32) and am on the New 3DS XL 11.0.0.33 also. I do not have these problems at all.
I honestly am suspicious of the formatter program you might have used and the download quality of your roms, but if none of the programs give you good results and all the roms end up with this problem then you have 3 possible issues.
I your cheapest check would be to get a new micro sd card to try out. I suggest you get a class 10 card from a reputable brand. Searching myself I found a nice Samsung 32 gb Class 10 card for about $7 in the Amazon Warehouse Deals.
If you get this card, or any other new card to try and you are still seeing this issue then I would reach out to your sky3ds+ re-seller and ask for a new one/see what they can do for you. If they can't do anything for you then you may have to keep messing with the settings on the sky3ds+. I mean, you got one game to load and save so there is still some hope.
As others have already said, multiple SD cards would be the easiest way to do this. And since oyu can get class 10 name brand 32gb sd cards for $8 each, it is a cheep solution.
If you want more toys, another solution would be a wireless bridge. Amazon has one I have used before for under $35. Has USB ports to plug your external drive into, SD card readers for the camera memory, and even has a backup battery to recharge your phone on the go. You plug in the SD card and external HD, connect with your phone, and transfer the data between them no problem.
It will be fine. The UHS3 is just the rating. You can see what the numbers means, here. UHS2 is the one to avoid seen here.
The Extreme or Extreme Plus work fine if you are on a budget and still want good cards. I think the Extreme pros you linked are better, but if you aren't shooting sports or filling the buffer constantly, you may not need it. Both are great cards.
Okay, would you say [the 32GB one] (http://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Ultra-Memory-SDSDU-016G-U46-Change/dp/B007BJHETS) is a good deal? It's class 10 too. I get free shipping. And the total comes to $33.55. Also, do you know if it's compatitble with the 3DS?
Why though? How big your card? I can take over 1000 RAW photos on a 64GB card, so I can leave it in the camera if the images aren't super important.
Just buy another card it will cost you $20/£20 and you have solved the problem. The whole point of removable storage is that you can be flexible, so don't limit yourself.
$12 64GB Sandisk Ultra (slowest card but fine for photos) https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-UHS-I-Memory-SDSDUNC-064G-GN6IN/dp/B0143IIP4W
$17 64GB Sandisk extreme (Faster card) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H42L4TJ/ref=psdc_1197396_t2_B0143IIP4W?th=1
$10 Lexmark 64GB (seem just as fast as the extreme above)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012PL6K8M/
Buy two of those Lexmark cards, or even 3 32GB ones (not sure how many photos you take at once), and you're sorted.
Actually you won't need to redownload a thing. You can move everything over from one sd card to the next. Look here for more info
As fas a SD cards go, the 4gb one is only $5, and $10 gets you even more. Amazon Link
Will this card work? https://www.amazon.ca/Lexar-Professional-UHS-I-Rescue-Software/dp/B012PL6K8M/
It seems like it fits what you've said, but I just want to be certain. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to anything even remotely technological.
You want to make sure it's a class 10 card first of all, then look at the speed.
SD cards are so inexpensive now that I always recommend getting the fastest you can find.
As far as 32 vs 64, it's really personal preference and mostly doesn't matter.
I personally go with multiple 32's just because I like having enough that I don't have to hunt for an empty one.
SanDisk, Lexar and Transcend are all good cards.
I personally really prefer the Transcend brand. Just as fast and reliable as SanDisk & Lexar but less expensive.
They're cheap enough that multiple 64GB cards is totally plausible.
You are going to need a few things:
If you bought all of these things new, it would be way outside of your budget. But, luckily, camera gear has a great used market. I personally use the Fred Miranda forums buy/sell page, but you can also find great stuff on eBay or elsewhere. Refurbs are fine too. And the nice thing about buying used is that if you don't like it, you can sell it for about what you bought it for.
If you buy used (and go for the D7000 rather than the D7200), this should add up to around $1500 or less. I've shot tens of thousands of pictures with the D7000, and it's a wonderful camera. I've also used the D7100, and it's fine too, although honestly I'd probably take the sensor of the D7000 over the D7100. I've heard good things about the D7200 but haven't used it personally (and it has been eclipsed by the more expensive D500). If I were you, I'd go for the used D7000.

Humm... you know a 256gb SD card isn't that much and a lot of files are duplicates. I wonder if I can distill the fileset down to the useful amounts only.
I'd still like to find a good answer to this as stated, but this really has given me an idea.
I found this
I doubt if it can actually reach those speeds in the Pi.

I believe Adorama has a deal on Sandisks right now. 64 gb 90mb/sec Extreme card for $21
16 is plenty until it's not. On a 16gig card I can only shoot like 250 photos with my d800.
/nevermind - get the 32gb Sandisk from Amazon for $11 or whatever. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013CP3KZ6/ref=s9_nps_hd_bw_bCu3e7X_g147_i5?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-11&pf_rd_r=HNCX31N30513516J9NK8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=a918920c-1e44-57ef-b6f3-a1d02a626925&pf_rd_i=11821938011
I would still be inclined to stick with the same model. The new ones are even better, and for the same price you'll end up with more memory and a faster CPU (if you have student discount) without having to cash out a cent besides probably tax.
There are so many ways to avoid the need for an SD slot, that I was really surprised when Apple put them in in the first place. Now I use an Eye-Fi card in my SLR which ironically forces me to use the card slot far more than I used to... but in saner days I always used the excellent Sandisk Ultra II SD Plus cards which plug straight into USB.
I just love the size of the 11. The 13 has always seemed too wide and deep to my taste, especially in a backpack... I always was bummed that after the iBook 12" went away Apple's computers were all wider than the keyboard needed them to, and while that's still true on the 11 it's not nearly as bad as on every other non-netbook size.
As to the girly thing, I'm a guy. A frikkin huge guy. I've always enjoyed this old Apple commercial about laptop size...

"Built-in Zoom Microphone"
looks like the only way would be to rip out the existing zoom microphone and solder in a 3.5mm stereo jack
There are probably adapters for 3.5mm to USB or for SD cards (there's a 802.11 wifi adapter in the shape of an SD card, and there might be a way to sync a wifi microphone) but the internal wiring and software would not be expecting audio input from those connections.
An appropriately classed USB 3.0 drive out of a USB 3.0 port will feel the same as booting and operating from an SSD.
For perspective, I have linux running from an SD card using a USB 3.0 SD card adapter which in total cost me $20 and it boots in exactly the same amount of time as it does off of my SSD. It's also very portable. Some motherboards don't have legacy boot mode enabled--so you have to enable that before it will boot from a USB 3.0 port--but other than that it's been running perfectly for over a year.
I got this one for the A6000, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LORO7BA which reaches pretty much the limit the camera can write. So no point in getting a faster one, probably.
And it allows for xavcs.
I use this older Sony 64gb card, works well but they make much faster versions now.
I don't see why it wouldn't work....but this one would be better.
http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Speed-Class-Memory-TS64GSDXC10U1/dp/B00AFTV3FC/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1405017020&sr=1-2&keywords=transcend+600x
There are multiple reviews on (German) Amazon stating that the EOS 600D and this card work perfectly together.
But I would probably pay 9$ more and get the faster one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AFTV3FC/
This guy says the faster one does work better for him: http://www.amazon.com/review/R12P6JUT1Y66AF/
For a 'good' setup I would triple the budget that you have, but that is quite obviously not going to happen. With that in mind, just make sure that you get these SD cards: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-SDXC-UHS-U3-Memory/dp/B005LFT3UW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1468674883&sr=8-8&keywords=sandisk+extreme for the camera and get a Zoom H1 audio recorder.
Quick question: Does anyone know if this card will work with my 3ds XL?

I plan on buying some virtual games and need a bigger card and this one seems like a great price.
Thanks!
I actually purchased the same one that someone recently posted was on sale. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Class-Memory-SF64UY-TQMN/dp/B00B7ID9CU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394209355&sr=1-1&keywords=sony+64+SD+card
As far as SDs for my backup D800 cards and my wife's d600 cards I use Transcend 64GB 600x 90mbs cards which are less than $40. I use all Transcend and they have been great.
What speed SD cards do you use for portrait sessions and weddings?
I was thinking about it and I'm not taking high speed-multiple photo action shots so something mid-rage should be just fine.
For instances this 150MB/s

I'm thinking the 80MB/s should be just fine.
These are a very good choice: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-64GB-Extreme-UHS-I-SDSDXV6-064G-GNCIN/dp/B01LORO7BA/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=64gb%2Bsd&qid=1567715181&s=electronics&sr=1-6&th=1
The price of Sony cards has gone down recently. The SDXC ones aren't listed on the elinux site but I imagine they would work without issue.
These 64Gb cards are what I'm using now. They work great! I bought the 32gb cards, but I can't shoot at the higher bitrate with these!

I was looking at the Lexar card (http://www.amazon.com/Lexar-Professional-UHS-II-Software-LSD128CRBNA1000/dp/B00PLENZPC/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1457328237&sr=1-3&keywords=128gb+sd+card) Correct me if I am wrong, but this is both better and cheaper?
These would be the right ones? (Though may not go for Amazon based on fakes...) https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-SDXC-UHS-I-Memory/dp/B005LFT3UW/ref=sr_1_11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1543354560&sr=1-11&keywords=sandisk%2Bextreme%2Bpro%2B64gb&th=1
Im looking to get 2 Sandisk extreme pro SD cards, i was browsing amazon and found two of the same(?) item:
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-UHS-I-Flash-Memory-x/dp/B005LFT3UW/ref=sr_1_4_acs_ac_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1542764375&sr=1-4-acs&keywords=sandisk+extreme+pro+64gb

I notice one of them has the symbol V30 on the card and is somehow a little cheaper.
Is there a difference between the two or is one just a newer version?

i have the 256 version of this one and works flawless , on a side note.. if you wanna buy it just make sure you take the new version that has 170MB/s transfer speed for the same price.
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-UHS-I-SDSDXXY-128G-GN4IN/dp/B07H9DVLBB/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
I'd recommend:

Camera equipment: ($650 CAD total)
I'd look at the Canon PowerShot SX740, which has:
https://www.amazon.ca/Canon-PowerShot-Digital-Camera-Optical/dp/B07FXXVC74/
Two extra batteries & a spare charger: ($55 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/Newmowa-NB-13L-Battery-Charger-PowerShot/dp/B0752HZ8TZ/
Two memory cards: ($60/ea x2 = $120 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-UHS-I-SDSDXXY-128G-GN4IN/dp/B07H9DVLBB

Tripod equipment: ($450 CAD total)
As far as a camera tripod goes, a good 2-way fluid-head bowl-mount tripod will do what you want: ($290 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/Cayer-BV30L-Professional-Mid-Level-Camcorder/dp/B0784CWMP4
A gliding track for sliding shots on a flat surface or tripod: ($70 USD)
https://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-centimeters-Stabilizer-Camcorder-Photography/dp/B06Y3MKC7C
A motorized desktop dolly: ($90 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07JJ3F12H/

Lighting equipment: ($545 CAD total)
As far as lighting goes, I'd check out an adjustable-temperature (color temp) LED set. Here's one that includes 3 lights (left, right, backlight - standard set of 3 lights): ($345 CAD)
https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Pieces-Bi-Color-Video-Light/dp/B0744H2CWG/
If you're going to be doing a lot of product shots, you'll want a compact photo booth. Amazon has their own brand with built-in LED lighting: ($200 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-EP53-010723-Portable-Photo-Studio/dp/B01GIL6EU4/

Going cheaper:
If you need to go cheaper, I'd stick with the camera kit as-is, but just do this tripod instead & skip the slider & dolly: ($175 CAD)
https://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Monopod-Rotatable-Panoramic-Shooting/dp/B0734ZZN61/
And if you're going to mostly be focusing on small game boards & cards, then you can probably just get away with the photo booth, instead of the full lighting kit. So $650 camera + $175 tripod + $200 photo booth = $1,025 CAD for everything.

part 1/2
I believe I may have a spare one of these lying around.
https://www.amazon.ca/Lexar-Professional-UHS-I-Rescue-Software/dp/B012PL6K8M/
Would that work by chance?

Sorry, I made this a post then saw the sidebar
So I finally decided to ditch videogames as the only hobby I have and pick up photography. I went out and bought a few things that I deemed required after I researched a little bit.
I still have a bit of money I can drop on anything else I need. Since I wanted to do some night photography and am interested in astrophotography I was thinking about getting a remote for my camera, although I read that I can just put the timer on before I run long exposure shots.
I also got a couple books!
I was thinking I need a lens hood but I'm not sure how to figure out. I am going to San Antonio on Thursday and just wanted to make sure there isn't anything I need that I looked over because I'm a scrub!
Thanks!
It's the one that came with it. I just tried something where I locked the SD card to see what would happen, and it told me that it was locked when I started the DS. Then I retried with it unlocked and it said that it couldn't detect the card. I just ordered this (http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Speed-Flash-Memory-TS32GSDU1E/dp/B00FB4657C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1419011959&sr=8-2&keywords=transcend+32gb) and it will get here on monday. I hope it works!
Just look for Class 10 SDHC. This should work pretty well.
Make sure you get the 32gb. Some 64gb cards will work with the 3DS when formatted correctly, however this one does not. 32GB is honestly enough in my opinion. Though if you can find a compatible 64gb card, and with a simple program, you can get it formatted to work in a 3DS for only a few more dollars.
I am only shooting jpg files on the Fine setting. I've been using this SD card: https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-Professional-2000x-UHS-II-Reader/dp/B00OD71FKU/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Lexar+Professional+2000x+UHS-II+U3&qid=1570450800&s=electronics&sr=1-3
and have never experienced any issues with the buffer before, but I may get another faster card and try it out. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is the card I use
Both the 64 gig and the 128 gig
As long as you can break the day's recording workflow into 3-6 points where footage from the camera can be obtained by a laptop/desktop for video compression & uploading then you can satisfy the upload-speed/stability issue you highlighted from the beggining of your inquiry.
While you COULD be compressing the footage via laptop following the cameras around & aided perhaps by a wifi-sd card (but I haven't any experience with those who test them rigorously beforehand)... you'll be much better off with a stationary production table that features a dedicated desktop computer to handle the compression & uploading, while maybe the traveling laptop is purely to obtain the clips wirelessly or during the breaks you can wire in to copy directly (faster), thereby buffering-desktop compression so it can be completed continuously and not waste the time 1) waiting for clips to compress and 2) uploading everything at once instead of continuously while the event is still happening & clips are compressing (uploading shouldn't impact CPU during file compressing and so you can do both simultaneously)
To conclude, my workflow was assuming ~6-8hrs of footage (x2 for the two cameras), but if the actual recorded duration is a max of 3-4hrs then thats a much lower workload for the editor to address in a same-day manner. Trimming just 3 hours of minute long clips should be manageable by 1 editor in the same day expectation if you provide the footage throughout 3-6 segmentations uploaded throughout the day.
If it's closer to 4-7 hours of total duration needing trimming, and you only provide say half of it mid-day and the rest upon event completion I'd say it'd be hard (EDIT: impossible) for the editor to turnaround everything for the next day rendering for an official YouTube or similar publication UNLESS their timezone and work hours align so as to begin when your first amount of event clips have been uploaded for trimming AND theyre fine with long hours after getting comfortable with the simple process expected of them in context of the pay. IE: you can find cheaper editors for this task as compared to someone who actually needs to comprehend & interpret footage for where to make rough cuts.
The final render (full quality from the sources) would still take 0.5-2x real-time depending on your settings & computer hardware; so assuming the editor trims everything to your sanctification and you received that working project file early in the morning the next day (ie before the next event starts) then you still must assume it'll take at least the amount of time of the video to be rendered for the actual video render in HD + maybe double that for the uploading of the final render to YouTube on your low quality internet; averaging the middle scenario of these factors, a 2-3hr final render for you to complete locally and upload for worldwide viewing will take ~4hrs, or closer to 2hrs if you have great hardware and great internet (YouTube's or similar platforms processing time will be 3-6x real-time, so 2hrs will likely be available within 15-30 minutes depending on their load)
If i'm correct, this is the fastest card the X-T20 can support.
Pretty good deals on other brands today.

I put it in my wii U and its not showing up in Data Management unless I use my usb flash drive but even then when I download the mod packs onto the card, It just tells me to format the usb flash drive.
I decided to take the plunge into the world of nicer cameras and am looking forward to learning more about photography than see pretty beach, take pictures.
The impetus for this is a series of upcoming trips. First we'll be headed to Brazil/Argentina which will include a visit to Iguazu falls. Over the summer we'll visit Machu Picchu, Easter Island, French Polynesia, Vietnam, Angkor Wat and Bali. Eventually in 2017, I see a safari to Tanzania. So with that in mind, I figured I wanted a weather sealed camera (waterfalls + rainy places + dust) which could also shoot and focus quickly. I was weighing the Canon D7II and Sony A77II for these reasons, but budget factors eventually led me to purchasing the Sony.
My question is, will the following gear work okay for someone who's learning the game and not become something that I will want to replace entirely in the next couple of years. Also, any comments on if you think I've overpaid for something or am skimping unnecessarily would be welcome.
Thanks for any and all thoughts!
I am using a 16GB HP-branded SDHC card in my 3DS. I bought it over a year ago, and only paid $16 for it. it is only rated as class 4, but I've had no trouble with it, and I've been using it in my 3DS for that entire time.
If money is not a concern, I'd go with a SanDisk. Here is a 32GB SanDisk Extreme SDHC card for $35 delivered. The seller is Amazon, so you can be pretty sure it will be genuine (make sure to choose the frustration-free packaging option to get the one sold by Amazon).
Thanks for this, apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge haha. I’ve found this one, which looks like it’ll be a better fit: Lexar Professional 1000 x 128GB SDXC UHS-II/U3 Card (Up to 150MB/s read) LSD128CRBNA1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PLENZPC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_952PCbQRWFG65
Mountain Lion has resume built-in. Just shut down as normal. You should see a "Reopen windows' dialog box pop up. As long as that's checked, it should reboot with what you were doing.
I'd also recommend replacing that USB key with a SDHC or SDXC card. You could then keep that permanently in your Air (it'll stick out a bit, but far less than a usb key). A 32gb or 64gb Class 10 card is fairly cheap.

I'm buying two 32gb Sandisk cards. They're not a huge deal, but I need them eventually anyway.
Recently bought this for my xt3. The only minor downside is that it takes an extra few seconds to review videos
If you decide to buy any mem card from Amazon, make sure its sold by amazon.
a V60 class card like this one will handle any of the GH5 codecs, included the 400mbps all intra 4k daddy codec. However, I tend to film day to day in 4k at 100 or 150mbps and I use plain UHS 1 U3 class delkin and lexar cards. Amazon referral link included above
Can you recommend me some dope SD cards?
I have some decent Sandisk ones (these) but I'm unsure if they'll be enough for the higher bitrates and improved 4:3 (which I actually use a lot).
Other sizes are on sale, might not be the best prices for them. I think the 64GB was on Amazon's deal day last year for $30, I don't remember, but it wasn't much more than the 32.
Sorry for mobile links!!! Reposting with non-mobile!

I run Crouton and boot up into Debian. While you can install Kali linux. You might have issues with some of the cooler stuff as A: You don't have an ethernet port. B: I haven't yet found a way to set my wireless adaptor into promiscuous mode. It's a great machine for daily driver use. I use mine for some light coding and work (I work in IT)
I recommend getting a 128gb flash drive like this [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YFI1EBC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00] and sticking it in one of the usb 3.0 ports. Battery life under heavy load is 8 hours easy. I run nomachine on a Windows 10 machine at my house and connect to it if I need Windows for anything. I highly recommend the Chromebook lifestyle.
The SP4 takes a microsdxc not a regular sd card. Though as far as regular SD cards go with UHS-3, here is one I have been wanting to try out: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OD71FKU
Would it be a good idea to go with this bundle
Or just buy the parts I need camera, case, tripod, SD?
All links go to amazon.com
I don't really care about the filters in the bundle since they are probably trash anyways, and I might have better ones lying around my house anyways that I can use if I want to try them out. But I'm not sure about the other lenses, and items. But I figured if i get the bundle I can try different attachments out and see how I like them. but if to many of the items are going to be trash I would prefer to spend the extra money and buy what I need/want so I don't waist more money
I'M open to alternatives, it seems like from my research this would be a good camera to go with, but if you have any alternatives (try to limit to ~$700 with everything (SD, Camera. case, tripod, etc)
I recently bought one so I'll just give you links to all the stuff I bought:
usb powered hub
sd card reader (for OS installation)
case
wireless mini keyboard/touchpad
sd card
power cord (almost not necessary with the powered usb hub)
hdmi cable
Edit: and you should be able to save some money with the amazon shipped sellers in terms of shipping. In total, I think I spent about $120 for all of it (including the pi)
The FlashAir 3 is $10 less than the FlashAir 2 you linked.
That's too bad. If you want an unsilicited suggestion, get this card. I have about 4 of these 64GB cards and they are extremely fast (when using a usb3 card reader, which I will also link below). I get around 80MB/s reads which makes importing into LightRoom a breeze.

This is mainly what I use for memory when I shoot video. In short you want something thats fast when transferring video to a computer. You also want one with a lot of memory, the size mainly depndes on the highest resolution the camera can shoot in. Generally a 32gb should be enough for 1080p at 30fps which I'm guessing Is the highest resolution as most cameras have that as the highest resolution setting.
