I use a Stanley tool organizer for my Commander stuff. I recommend going to Home Depot and finding one! The Professor actually did a video on it and I tried it out and am loving it so far! It’s super convenient for me, especially since I don’t have individual deck boxes for all my decks.

Edit: Heres a link to the Professors video I mentioned. There’s a few other ideas in there you might be interested in as well!

I don't think pockets are a good idea for a welding apron. They will accumulate sparks and slag unless they have a flap in top, and if they do then they will be hard to access with gloves on.

[This](Greenlee 0258-14 Leather Pouch, Heavy Duty, 4-Pocket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002JASH72/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_8qOjybQN43SZT) is what I use to carry the tools I need most often. It's nice thick leather and when worn at my back it stays out of the way and doesn't catch any sparks.

As for aprons they have a good selection on Amazon but I just use the cheap ones because they are going to get torched anyway.

Edit: changed slap to slag; thanks autocorrect...

3/4" heatshrink to go over the ESC's. 0.25" I think to go over your battery cables. 5/8ths maybe to cover XT60 connectors. Wire sleeves aren't needed. I hold stuff down with double sided tape. or a wrap of electrical.

Thin solder, you'll thank me. Along with a pencil tip for your iron. You'll want ?14G? wire to solder a power lead, confirm this. I also didn't have a 5V step down to power my FC on my first build. You'll want one. Many PDB's have one integrated. That makes it easy.

Purple Loctite or your frame will vibrate itself apart, Real quick. Don't use this on Nylon, and don't get it on the motor shaft, but it is extra important to use on motor mounts though. Just be careful.

A battery buzzer that you can solder onto your PDB is nice. Adhesive velcro is good if you want to use that in addition to battery straps. Either that or hobby foam. A parallel charging board is nice to have so you don't lose an entire day charging batteries. Learn to use it.

I personally replace all my stock hardware with Aluminum Cap screws because I want to cut weight and I hate dealing with stripped hex heads. Not needed though. Zip ties are good to have. A bundle of black ones will work. I've found the colored ones are more prone to breaking. They are good to hold antenna wires.

90deg pin headers are nice. My FC didn't come with those, only straight, and stack height is a real problem with straight pins. Extra props. You'll want those. 8mm socket to remove prop nuts. 3mm allen key. USB to micro USB cable to update your FC. Some XT60 connectors.

Beyond that, I'm sure I'm over looking some things. After a couple of builds you just have extras of stuff so you overlook.

May I suggest toolboxes to others out there. Can be found at local hardware stores and come with removable containers that can be removed for easy token access while playing. They come in different sizes and Depths so search what works for you.

Avoid glasstops as they can have seal issues around the glass, in addition to the normal seal issues that desktop humidors can have.

I suggest either going with a herfador(travel humidor) or a good sealing plastic container(food grade tupperware or something with a rubber or foam gasket), simply because the seal will be 100x better.

EDIT: For something bigger than food grade tupperware that may last you quite a while, I suggest one of these or these if you want something even larger.

EDIT 2: For storage with one of the plastic containers I suggested, it's as simple as airing them out(you can use various methods of removing the plastic smell, if there is one, if you want to make it go faster) and then putting in cigars and some boveda packs. Boveda packs can humidify a considerably greater volume for a considerably greater length of time in well sealed plastic than in wood, which may have leaks and also sponges up some of the humidity in the wood itself.

I have a Rothco Mechanic Toolbag that I learnt about on this sub years ago. I keep an aeropress, grinder, filters, beans, scale and steel cups inside.

u/Omap · 4 pointsr/HomeImprovement

I like the rothco bags you can get on amazon.

They're cheap, and unlike the HF "voyager" bags they are pretty well made, cotton canvas with thick zippers. I much prefer cotton, way more durable than the thin nylon and won't separate at the seams. I've been using this one for my work tools for ages and it's not ripped at all. Plus you can throw them in the wash to clean them.

u/BirdPersonWasFramed · 3 pointsr/IBEW

this is the tool pouch I use and it’s more than enough. Going to big and your back will hate you.

I use a hardware organizer for storing my samples and products. It's easy to access and I just sharpie the label onto a piece of masking tape. And the units stack together if you want to expand.

edit: I think you can even mount it on the wall

u/Lurkndog · 3 pointsr/BuyItForLife

Akro-Mils containers are truly BIFL. After storing my college notes in regular plastic tubs, and seeing the tubs collapse under their own weight, I replaced them with these:

Akro-Mils 39120 Plastic Storage and Distribution Container Tote with Hinged Lid

I paid around $125 for a box of six.

These get used all the time for delivering product to stores. And unless they get caught in a fire or something, they will still be there 10 years from now, after getting beat around in a truck every day.

They're almost overkill for consumer use, but for things like college notes, which represent tens of thousands of dollars spent, they're worth it. You can stack them on top of each other all day and they'll just take it.

u/DoctorBandage · 3 pointsr/zombicide
u/phantom_poo · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

When I was in high school, a lot of the art classes would require this type of toolbox. They're actually very small and don't hold much in the way of makeups, but I love how they pop out so everything's accessible without having to rifle through drawers/look for your stuff. I don't actually keep makeup in these, mostly tools....because tools. It's basically a less pretty, sturdier version of the caboodles train case.

My makeup (er...the stuff that I use, at least) is in one of these puppies. Doesn't travel well, but great if you have a dedicated spot for it.

When I am a big girl with my own non-dinky apartment, though, I hope to own one of these. Filled with makeup, of course. Also...like...everything from the Container Store....

I have one of those occidental clip-on fastener pouches and it saves me the aggravation of having handfuls of shit fall allover the place when I need to use it. I'll probably upgrade to the 2 pouch one or get another one in the near future, since I'll always just throw everything i need in there. Another system that works for me is having this:

https://www.amazon.com/Occidental-Leather-5053-Electricians-Pocket/dp/B000KL56OE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1494978002&sr=8-4&keywords=occidental+leather

I can fit an 11-in-1 driver, lineman's, stripper, needle nose, side cutter, beater flathead, and level in here if I need to have all of those tools on my side. Like the fastener pouch, I use this when it makes my life easier and I can customize the tools if needed. If you haven't experienced an over-stuffed tool belt on your hip for 8-16 hours yet, I would say it's a better system--for me, anyway--to just have my backpack and toolbox full of ALL of my tools, which both sit on my cart, and use the pocket caddy and pouch when necessary. I think as long as you can quickly fetch a near-by tool when it's called for, no one will fault you for not wearing every tool you own at any given time. Also get carpenter jeans and utilize pockets for must have items.

sorry for the long post, but I would imagine that most here have tried all sorts of tool storage and could likely agree that different situations require different defaults which you'll pick up on over time.

Here is what I use. I take my 08 WK Hemi on the beach, air down from 33 psi to about 13-15 psi. It takes about 2 minutes per tire to get back up to 33 psi when I leave.

Hose & cord is plenty long, however I bought a 6 foot hose extension just in case.

It gets hot, I bought a nice canvas bag to keep it in, I've had no issues with the heat besides accidentally touching it and getting a little burn.

What kind of work?

I pieced mine together with these:
Greenlee 0258-14
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002JASH72/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_PW.Gyb0WWHPTK

Occidental 5520 5 tool holder
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HGAT03U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_jZ.Gyb4QW0BWZ

And the occidental 3 inch belt.

I work in lived in houses, this setup is low profile(for working in rooms with too much furniture) and balanced (so you're not lopsided all day. There's also room for expansion if you want to add a pouch for screws & nuts. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is how high the occidental 5520 sits. Full size pouches hang down on your thigh, but the 5520 doesn't. It sits right at belt level. When you have a rock saw in the protected slot it sticks up to about the bottom of your ribs and is a little awkward to grab until you get used to it.

u/cyberlink420 · 2 pointsr/Legodimensions

Most do. A few figures had to be made to sit down on their tags instead to fit in the small slots, with some minifigs that hold bigger accessories like the Wicked Witch having to sit in the slots I normally reserve for vehicles. Some of the wider or taller vehicles needed to be made to fit, either by folding certain pieces like the Invisible Jet's fins to make it more compact, or a few instances where actual deconstruction was involved, like taking the Samurai Mech off its post because it was too tall or putting the Eagle Interceptor next to its tag because the slots weren't deep enough. I barely managed to fit all the figures from Wave 1-7 into four cases, but you'll have to double up in a lot of slots to make it happen. They do make deeper containers, but they're really only helpful for the big vehicles, and aren't exactly ideal for the smaller ones or for minifigs.

Earplugs / hearing protection!!! (I have some goggles that have earplugs that retract into them - i really like them, but others may think you are a nerd.

Sawzall (or hackzall since you already have the 12v stuff) if you can't afford that yet, get a hacksaw.

Jab saw.

CLAMP multimeter. I don't know if that multimeter you have can even read AC current.

I normally don't use my drill, always use my impact driver (except for on the rare occasion I have to use a drill bit/tko.

I like to use the rapid drive (klein) screwdrivers when trimming out, but others think they are pointless.

I'd only carry one knife (the folding) and I would drop that little channellock pliers since you will probably never use it.

DON'T buy a shovel, you will get stuck digging. If someone wants me to dig a hole, they better be providing the shovel. But if you really want to, buy the fiskars as it is a little heavier, but is the best shovel I've ever owned (source: landscape business is run out of my home). I've had two for 2 years of commercial use and neither have been broken (even if they do, they have a lifetime warranty). Most of the other shovels we bought first year are already broken.

Everyone I currently work with has a very small pouch and only carry tools for what they are currently doing. The people that carry a ton of tools and have the really nice gatorback setups (they are nice) also have back problems.

u/Slammedtgs · 2 pointsr/flying

I bought a Rothco ammo bag from Amazon and it works really well for 1 headset, logs, and iPad. I'd imagine a larger size might do the trick. I think mine was like 13 bucks when I got it.

Start by helping her get all the jewellery out and sort it into whatever categories make sense to her.

Then you will know what she needs to make it easier to select. If she has some stuff that's very seasonal it could be kept in one spot, and the things she wears the most together in one.

Get away from looking for something labelled for jewellery and think about storage for "lots of little stuff"

If she really has a TON of stuff, something with shallow drawers that could hold all those little boxes (tops off) in one layer so things are visible. Like an art supply cabinet or paper organizer.

I do have to tell you that that is not the exact one I use to organize my cards. I bought mine from my local Lowes for 15 dollars each, and they have large enough drawers than I can make two stacks of commons and put a cardboard divider in between them.

u/Mdayofearth · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

I use something similar to this. The exact ones I have were the AmazonBasics brand ones which have since been discontinued in the US. I have used many parts organizers in the past, but now I prefer ones that have small bins inside (as opposed to ones that have dividers). And I pay attention to the lid's design, preferring ones with grooves that prevent small objects from moving from one compartment to another when the container is being moved around.

u/DirtFueler · 2 pointsr/aviationmaintenance

I take a tool bag in the plane and I always put the tool back in the bag and never leave them laying elsewhere. Tool inventory before going in and after leaving will help like /u/ruminatingroy said.

I use this for Catan and a few other games. I just wish the base were a little bigger so I could fit some game boards inside as well. (I have Agricola, Power Grid and all of Catan except Explorers and Pirates in here (with 5-6 player expansion.)

I think I saw a teacher use it on pinterest, they made labels for each drawer of basic stuff like paperclips, pencils, found coins, etc, to keep on their desk just so everything has a place. As someone who has terrible organization and tends to just put stuff down and immediately forget about it, this is great.

other things: small paper cutter (like 12"), label maker, good pens (I like Papermate Flair and Inkjoy gel pens), journal (I started a bullet journal for planning this year), posters/poster paper (giant post it easel pads are great), instrument or doorbell or something for attention getters...

u/Dreadino · 2 pointsr/mattcolville

I asked because I’ve been struggling with miniatures from boardgames (Massive Darkness, Zombicide and Load as of now, ~400 miniatures). This week I finally found a solution in these things from Stanley (3x the Junior, 1x of the other) [Italian Amazon link, sry]. You can stuck and lock them and they feel very sturdy, while being extremely cheap (18€ and 7€).

u/_-__---_-__-__---__- · 2 pointsr/Tools

Buy a homeowner's tool kit, and dump it into a tool bag. That should get you started.

u/Magneticitist · 1 pointr/electricians

You likely have everything you need already aside from some good linemans and wire strippers. Probably already keep a sharpie on you and things like that. If you don't have a multi screwdriver I recommend getting one like this . A multimeter (doesn't need to be a fluke lol) and a non contact voltage tester are handy. Wearing the nail apron is a good habit and will come in handy, and I have found drill holsters something like this to come in real handy when the drill is an all day necessity. I used to rock something like these guys for crimping and cutting things I didn't want to use other tools for.
If you'll be doing a lot of commercial work the list gets more extensive.

u/evilcheerio · 1 pointr/ECE

I checked shipping options for this Amazon-sold toolbag and I still get both "AmazonGlobal Expedited" and "AmazonGlobal Priority" as options (plus even cheaper "Standard International" for media items) for Finland.

Which country are you in?

I'd guess (a) the carrier Amazon used for Expedited into your country (they use Landmark Global to Finland) no longer operates there, or (b) they raised their prices too much for Amazon, or (c) there is some other issue Amazon has with them, or (d) simply an issue with Amazon systems.

You can get a drill holster that will go on any belt and fit pistol-sized blasters up to a Stockade from just about anywhere. Something like this should work. I currently use this one, and it fits my Stockade pretty decently

The one downside is that for bigger pistols, like the Stockade, the strap isn't long enough to go around the back of the grip. But I have tried it with Strongarms and Snapfire 8, and it snugly fits those blasters and the strap is long enough. Since the Hammershot is smaller than the Strongarm, a drill holster should work perfectly fine.

Here's a not-so-great picture of my stockade, holstered. Since the strap isn't long enough to go around the back of the grip, I fasten it through the trigger.

I use an Occidental 5100 pouch and it's great. I carry two screwdrivers, lineman's, strippers, dikes, a knife, a ncvt, a pencil, and a marker.

The 5053 is great too but it's more expensive and hangs a lot lower and looser if you just snap it to your belt.

Don't wear a whole belt. It's overkill and you'll just end up carrying too much and hurting your back over time.

For Tone gen, Fluke makes the gold standard. They also have a cheaper version.
You didn't mention a probe, so maybe you are looking for a cable certifier?. That's super expensive though. if you just have to test that there is continuity and not certify the cables, you can use this, or this if you want to look like a pro.

As for Screwdrivers, Wiha makes the best screw drivers, hands down. I have this set for working on electronics & laptop repair. Magnetic tool-kits are fine. This isn't the 80's anymore. There aren't too many magnetically sensitive items inside a computer anymore. especially with the advent of SSD drives.

As for a toolbox, depending the work, I prefer a tool bag or pouch.

Good luck, hope that helps. What helped for me when I started was to go to harbor freight and just get an assortment of tools. As I worked I slowly replaced the stuff I used all the time with quality gear, and didn't have to burn myself buying expensive tools and gear that I would never use.

I use one of these. The compartments are more sized for bits, so it's not as much wasted space, and less likely to break apart. Also, two of them fit into my makita drill/driver case (other one for spade bits).

What is FLT?

I find them to be too fragile. They're hard enough to be brittle and not strong enough to survive real abuse. In Boston, for the longest time we went with Akro-Mils ALCs (Attached Lid Containers). Someone in our community would collect orders and make a bulk order of about 200 of them each year. Now that they can be bought on Amazon and other places for reasonable rates that is less necessary but these are hands down, much better than the yellow lidded containers found at home depot and similar. They also waste less space on the trucks because they have smaller lips around the top.

That's the solution I'm moving toward. Books into small containers like this and then the large containers into this, which gets sealed with duct tape. Then put the whole thing into storage.

Great taste! I have about 100 AK mags, 100 USGIs, 50 AUG mags, and a slew of other odds and ends. I keep the spare, unloaded mags in 40mm cans. They're strong and waterproof. I have a buddy that uses these guys: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000KA33Q8/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1523359408&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=storage+containers

Says it works pretty well.

Also, any plans on adding a SCAR or M1A?

Pistol Belt quick release, reliable.
I used the pad off some cheap husky bags.
Electricians pouch keep my pencils, screw drivers, wrenches, catspaw, end nippers, knife, and other things. The little loop clip I keep athletic tape on for blowouts.
Magazine dump pouch for my hammer
CLC pouch speed square, chalk box, safety glasses, nail racks, tape, and hand drives.
I used to have a smart phone holder because it's tough to reach in my pockets with bags on but I don't know where it went.

My techs and I all use these http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000BFJE8S/ref=mp_s_a_1_sc_1?qid=1422355845&sr=8-1-spell&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

They are rugged and just the right size for our cable termination tools, screwdrivers and fluke toner/tester. They are available in different colors and there are bigger sizes.

I need a better place for screw boxes, hammer, rolls of velcro, staple gun, some pliers, wrenches, hand screwdrivers, etc. I'm looking for something like this, or this, but more durable.

I have a case for my circular saw and drills already. This is mostly for hand tools and miscellaneous tools.

u/VanRikxoort · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I actually bought it from lowes in the toolbox department. It's meant for nails and screws and such, I found one that's pretty much exactly like mine besides the color on amazon. Hope this helps!

For what you’ve got there, this would do well. It’s a bit pricier, but you won’t replace it unless it gets stolen. I have to go get mine monogrammed now, because after I got it, three other people at my job got the same one.
