Dunno if you're interested in JRPGs but I would recommend Tales of Vesperia. It's probably one of my favorite RPGs of the current console generation.

If you're a Bioware (especially Kotor) fan you can't go wrong with Dragon Age II or Mass Effect 2. Also check out any of the Elder Scrolls games like Oblivion and the new one Skyrim will be out soon enough.

For a casual racing game I'm loving the new Need for Speed: Hot pursuit I also have the Kinect and I'm holding my breath to see if Forza 4 will be any good since it's Kinect compatible.

If you want a fun shooter, quite a few of us are into Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and check out the 360 players subreddit Team Awesome for some people to play with.

vesperia is 22 dollars, at the moment. get that.

Get this one if you can't wait for Forza 4 (it'll be out a week from Tuesday in the US). It's basically the Xbox equivalent to Gran Turismo, the closest thing to a sim as you'll get on the platform, while still being a lot of fun as a game. Great selection (hundreds of cars, lots of tracks including some less commonly featured ones like Road America), authentic feel (not really realistic, but it feels real), solid gameplay, and a good progression for leveling/buying cars and the like. They've also got a mode where you can select any car in the game and race on any track (on your own, online, or as a time trial).

I've owned all of these, and they are easily some of the best of their genre, not to mention they are exclusive to the 360 (save for Vesperia, which got a PS3 release, but it was only in the Japanese market.)

Oblivion takes place in Cyrodil. I am sad to say Cyrodil isn't a good area to get lost in (PvP), and that it is a DLC area. Just get Oblivion and Skyrim, dude. Elder Scrolls is famous for being alone. Skyrim was the first to have useful companions, and Oblivion almost gives a feeling of isolation in a large world when you explore.

Also, ESO allows the player to start in an area of Morrowind, which is cool, but I recommend you play morrowind first. If you want PC -here

Oblivion and Skyrim can be found on the Xbox store, but can be bought from Gamestop for cheap. I recommend you get Legendary edition of Skyrim and GOTY edition of Oblivion. If you can get GOTY Deluxe, I reccomend it. You can find it on PC Here, but you want it on Xbox, which I can't really help with, because all of the DLC is still the release price.

If you don't care about shipping, skyrim, Oblivion. I tried looking for Morrowind, but some faggot is trying to sell it for 70 bucks. Just look through thrift stores

Battle Feild 4 Is SOOOO much fun! I loved it on the xbox360 and my SO and I just upgraded to Xbox1. I've loved all the battlefields so far :) It's a first person shooter with really cool maps!

My favorite game by far is Skyrim, it's an RPG. I love the adventures and completing quests, also all the cool armor, and thieving! I can't wait to play Elder Scrolls Online!! :3

well there have been loads of deals this holiday season. I don't see any 4GB deals, but I do see Amazon has the 4GB w/kinect for $300, with a $100 credit. so buy that, sell the kinect on craigslist for $100, and you are out $200 for the 4GB console, which is retail, but you have a $100 credit on amazon to blow on games and perhaps a second controller.

if that breaks the bank, I'd say keep on the craigslist tip. I just checked Nashville, and saw plenty of offerings, but nothing super compelling.

it's just called Game of Thrones. It's an action RTS/RPG. It's not the greatest game, but it's pretty fun, a decent story and, I think, a better gameplay way to experience Westeros than the Telltale series. You play as two characters: a an exiled red priest returned to Westeros, and a mid-level commander at the Wall. Their stories interact around the time of the middle of the first novel, with GRRM-like twists and difficult moral decisions.

This is by far my most favorite game I have ever played. Believe me, I would love for the DLC maps to be more popular. Here is the premium edition for 360. It looks like you can buy used copies for pretty cheap (<$10). May not be a bad idea to go this route.

I just wonder if enough people kicked up a fuss for the cost of premium on console if DICE or xbox, Sony, whoever would lower the price.

Its actually just called Game of Thrones. Its kinda turn based combat (that's a little meh) and story depends a little on your dialogue choices. It gets bad reviews but I liked it.

For one not to be pushy but you probably should care about force feedback as it does certainly give you an idea of traction and just the feel of the car. My force feedback on my wheel cut off when I first got it randomly which had to be fixed by restating the game but anyways with the force feedback I felt lost. I'd reccomend getting force feedback wheel, they're about 120 pounds on EBay for a starter one which are pretty good still.

It's fifty pounds in my country which could mean you save some money on rather than buying a new wheel but the difference would probably be quite little. Also if your wheel on 360 is Force Feedback enabled then the cronus device from what I've heard won't replicate that. Same with PS3 to Xbox one wheels such as Logitech G27 or G25.

If you're going to go buy a cronus device at least look at some ebay force feedback wheels, trust me once you go to it, you can't go back.

BF3 Used $22 +$10 for OP - $32.

Here's my suggestion:

Buy Brotherhood for cheap. For $15, it's definitely worth it. When finished with brotherhood, buy the Da Vinci Disappearance. I say it's worth the money, but if you're really tight on funds, just watch the walkthrough on Youtube (but only if you're tight on funds).

Revelations is pretty cheap too. It really fleshes out the story and fills the holes left unfilled in AC2 and Brotherhood, bringing the Ezio/Altair stories to a (in my opinion, satisfying) close. Don't bother buying DLC for this one, just watch a walkthrough for "The Lost Archive" on Youtube (preferably with no commentary). Be sure to do so promptly after playing the game, in a dark room, on a large television.

Also, be damn sure to play all the side missions in brotherhood before moving on to revelations (in fact, if you haven't finished all the side missions/dlc in AC2, do so now. And be sure to actually read the codex). Likewise, when you have AC: revelations, definitely complete the "Desmond's Journey" side-story, and do your best to complete the side missions on this one, although it isn't absolutely necessary.

After this, you should have a much better understanding of the AC universe, as well as more anticipation for the upcoming game. Have fun!

After a quick google around, it seems Forza 4 Essentials is basically forza 4 without the second disc which has an extra few hundred cars. It's probably how Microsoft sold Turn 10 on the idea of it being bundled with XB360 was to cut out some content that people would then purchase.

The price of DLC cars is pretty expensive, I'd say your better option would be to look for a full version of Forza 4.

I'm sure you can find this game secondhand where ever you are less than it would cost you to get the DLC.

My favorite game of all time has to be Warcraft III:ROC and Frozen Throne. I remember when it came out and bought it at Staples(of all places) with my friend. Spent hours days weeks years on it playing regular 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4. Loved the storyline. Then DOTA was developed on it. Spent more hours, days, weeks, years playing that. Hopefully one day Warcraft IV will come out since I never got into World of Warcraft (didn't like the idea of paying monthly to play a game you bought).

I am, enamored, with Mass Effect 2. I think more than any other game, even more than Soul Calibur 4, which I played to death, I have logged the most hours into this game. The characters, the story, the dialogue, everything about this game, I absolutely love. To me, it's Bioware's Empire Strikes Back, it's Die Hard with a Vengeance (Yes, I know technically that's the 3rd one but it's way better than Die Harder). I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a game than that.

I've heard some amazing things about Saint's Row the Third and I'd love to delve into some wacky gameplay.

I'm not sure how to incorporate Eggplant Wizard into conversation unfortunately.

I bought the premium edition of Battlefield 3 (360). I already had the base game but never bought the DLC. For $15 I couldn't resist. (It's still $15 on Amazon.)

I bought 3 additional controllers for my PS4 (each a different color so it was a little pricey), plus Minecraft (PS4) and FIFA 15 (PS4) . These were supposed to be Christmas gifts for my kids but I couldn't wait, so we played couch multiplayer--mostly Minecraft. (I get a little impatient around Christmas. :)

Oblivion GOTY Edition

It's only 30 bucks on Amazon and I easily spent around 300 hours playing this when I first got my 360.

Not sure what your taste in games is but I have been playing the Payday 2 beta over the weekend. It comes out tomorrow and is pretty interesting. It is a 4 player co-op game where you are career criminals and your doing bank heists and such. Had a good amount of fun with the beta and am looking forward to the release. I am playing it on PC.

GTA V

I finished Bioshock Infinite a couple weeks ago, it was amazing. I love the first Bioshock's storyline, the second one really didn't get anywhere near as awesome as the first one though. This third entry was out of this world though. It plays a bit like an escort quest as a game, except for the first time ever I felt like I was actually the person being escorted through the quest. The AI for Elizabeth was great, the graphics were great and I totally didn't guess the ending (which is a bit rare for me). I have every intention to play it again as soon as I get my Xbox hooked up again (we just moved). As for a game I want to check out, I'm a Deadpool fan, so that game is on my must play eventually list.

Well, the order never said that it came with the online pass, but the order didn't say that the online pass wasn't included. Even though I was buying a used version, I assumed it came with an online pass, since they never stated otherwise. Upon calling them, they responded with "It says in our FAQ that the online pass may not be included" but upon looking at the Amazon page, there is no "FAQ" link, only a "domestic shipping rates" and "return policy". I feel ripped off, but the lady on the phone was polite about it. Bleh. Is there any way Amazon could still help, or would Amazon just contact the company, only to tell me exactly what I was just told?
