The rough-hewn Pinus Cembra wood, also known as Swiss pine, is reclaimed from 18th-century chalets in Piedmont; the steel sub-structure has been up-cycled from found metalwork originally crafted in Turin; the non-toxic glue that reinforces the joints is homemade from food industry by-products; and the supple finish is achieved through a gentle hand-buffing of cold-pressed linseed oil. Honorable values and venerable techniques embodied in a sleek futuristic form.This EMC Desk & Side Desk Set is a limited edition of eight and includes two separate pieces of furniture. The Desk measures 76 h x186 w x 68 d cm. The Side Desk measures 36 h x 107 w x 62 d cm. These pieces are delivered fully assembled. The EMC Wood Chair is sold separately.
