I keep this charged and in my backpack, which take pretty much everywhere. Which is pretty much no where, and I just masturbate a lot.

u/theyoungthaddeus · 14 pointsr/BeAmazed

Here's the one from OP's pic. It's $6 more than 20 so you can def trust it

u/greggorievich · 10 pointsr/Survival

A good ferro rod: Light My Fire Firesteel Army. Works reliably for me and is fairly beefy. Delivers a nice big spark.

"Best" fire starter: A Bic lighter or two with the child guard removed for using in general, with (stormproof matches](https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B004PIBWW8/) and some kind of prepared/chemical longer (like WetFire, cotton balls and vaseline, etc) as a backup.

I haven't ever had a bic lighter fail on me. Even if it gets wet, blowing on it to dry it out usually will get it working in under a minute. Remove the child safety thing to make it a bit easier to use.

The matches are a backup because it takes less fine motor skills to use them - you can clench them in a fist and sort of stab them against the striker and it'll usually get them lit. The stormproof one's burn a pretty long time and are hard to extinguish. The engineered tinder should be dry when nothing else is and save you some time prepping the finer tinder when you need a fire quickly. Both of these factors matter when you're wet and hypothermic and you're shaking too hard to use the lighter and it was just pouring rain so fine tinder isn't available quickly and easily.

Bic comes out with special design lines every now and then. You can buy them loose or in a pack. They had an outrun style one in 2017 I think, and this is from it. You can't but them from their website but you can buy this pack on Amazon.

OK, so I can't seem to find this lighter available anywhere in EU, if someone finds out, please let me know!

u/noodlebug_22 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

To anyone who was wondering, I found it in a different color on amazon. Here ya go!

u/siacn · 3 pointsr/cigars

So I was googling the lighter and I see it's sold for $49.00 from CI on their site, or for $14.92 by CI on Amazon. Which I found a bit funny.

So the lighter is worth 15 bucks for those who were wondering.

u/HauteCocao · 3 pointsr/Maniac

It's a butane torch lighter; and I have located this lighter that's close to the on screen unit used. Best of luck on your search!

My favorites, if I could only buy one it would be the Vapman:

The Vapman lighter has an outstanding reputation on FC, a large tank, smaller stature than Zico/ScorchTorch. It's my go to travel lighter- Vapman http://infinityvm.com/lighters-etc/

it's the weekend and i'm stuck at home all day (boo), and this cute lil lighter would probably make me a bit happier. maybe.

hell nah it makes me gripe when i see people using fucking creme brulee torches on a bowl. so unnecessarily extra. go to the damn gas station or smoke shop and grab a cheap handheld torch or spend a couple extra dollars and get like an eagle torch or something. guy down below me has the idea.

i have a few of these from the smoke shop: https://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Single-Lighter-Windproof-Assorted/dp/B07778DFP3

and one of these are in the rotation now: https://www.amazon.com/Scorch-Torch-Refillable-Matador-Cigarette/dp/B00OC00ESC

Personally I like the Vertigo triple flame myself. It works great. The jets look like a mini rocket launching when is use. And it does well for my hands which have some arthritis issues. An IH is nice as well. O just dig torches personally.

VVAY 3 Jet Flame Torch Fire Lighter Gas Butane Refillable, Multipurpose for BBQ, Barbecue, Grill, Stove, Black(Sold Without Gas). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KFV189J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LjpSDbEN6T2JN

It's what I've used daily with my sticky brick runt since May. Zero issues, has worked flawlessly. For the dynavap, it works well outside in windy conditions.

u/oaschbeidl · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

I'd recommend a triple flame torch with the button far away from the flames. Takes the heating time down to about 7 seconds for the first cycle and about 5 seconds for the following ones. I've got one of these (different company, but they look exactly the same).

Or if you don't wanna go through that much butane, there's always induction heating (about 30-40 bucks if you DIY one).

Don't get discouraged by the bad results, once you figure that thing out, it's a beast!

u/OskuSnen · 2 pointsr/educationalgifs

It is a shame most cool lighters tend to me gasoline based. I personally really like the styling of this, and I used to have one, but it was a knockoff and the valve stopped functioning. I'm not sure if the real deal is any better quality though.

u/repoman · 2 pointsr/Survival

Not wind or waterproof; better off with something like this. Still if I could carry just one fire starter, it'd be a ferro rod.

u/r3dreck · 2 pointsr/Ultralight

I have one of these for lighting my esbit. Makes it way easier to light... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C85NBBU/ref=pd_aw_sim_121_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=7YWTA38Z1KQVMKY40NY0

If you remove it from the orange sleeve I think it's less than an oz. I weigh it with my cook pot but if you need an exact let me know.

BTW love esbit

u/the__rev · 2 pointsr/nostalgia

I ordered some from Amazon a few years ago.

They were only $7.99 four years ago... much higher priced now.

u/Galvanator · 2 pointsr/cigars

You just buy a can of butane separately. Amazon has them for a good price.

I just got myself this lighter a few days ago. I really like it. It comes with two punch cutters built in.

I think there are regulations for bringing cutters and torches on flights so I'd look into that if your trip involves that

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happiest this week? When they called and cancelled soccer practice for my 4 year old and it was SO COLD outside, so instead I watched netflix in the bathtub.

My favorite food varies, but it is between chicken n dumplins and rocky road ice cream :)

Also... CAMPING MATCHES!

u/_northernlights_ · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

I use this one. It's 12 bucks. I have been using it for the past 4 weeks, filling it with butane found at the hardware store (they sell it for wielding normally). I haven't had a single issue with it. The cap comes at temperature within seconds. And it looks good.

u/my45acp1911 · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

Dont know if its the best but its been working great for me. It does have a little window on the side to check gas levels.

Just a heads up.. that lighter..Scorch torch

I'm fairly certain it's the EXACT same thing.. I bought it for cheap and i love it! considering i have some much more expensive lighters EVERYONE asks me where i got that one and the tri flame is crazy.

u/outdatedboat · 2 pointsr/vaporents

This is my personal favorite mini torch that I've owned/used. It holds quite a bit of butane, can put out a ton of heat if you have it wide open, and the neck swivels so it can either be a straight tube, or have a bent neck.

u/The_Juggler17 · 2 pointsr/PipeTobacco

I use a Xikar Oldboy style lighter

Xikar makes lots of similar models, so I don't mean to suggest only this one, but any lighter of a similar model. These "oldboy" lighters are specifically made for pipes, their flint ignition is reliable (and can be replaced by typical zippo flints)

.

I've tried some of the less expensive Piezzo style lighters (around $20) and all of them eventually stopped working, the ignition failed over time.

These fancy lighters are a little expensive (don't buy anything over $100) but for the money I wasted trying several kinds of cheap pipe lighters, I could have bought one good one. Being cheap sometimes costs a lot of money.

u/obtusely_astute · 2 pointsr/vaporents
u/SixFootStranger · 2 pointsr/Offroad

It's easy. I like to get the cig adapter with a built in fuse for extra protection, and then the wires typically connect red to red and black to black. https://www.amazon.com/CUZEC-Cigarette-Lighter-Adapter-CU10160B/dp/B075KF9363/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_263_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MV60WWFFMSA9E2W3M7Y8

You can get some wire splicers and heat shrink to make things neat and easy if you need to add more wire. (Most pods and bars only come with a foot or two of wire.) Lots of videos on youtube showing how to solder and connect wires many different ways. Good luck!

u/PrettyJiggyNiggy · 2 pointsr/Zippo

Noooo, that’s expensive as hell, get it for cheaper on amazon, still legit right here <<

u/ImCelestial · 2 pointsr/Dynavap

https://www.amazon.com/RAAM-Double-Flame-Lighter-Metal/dp/B0771SLXYQ/ref=sr_1_35_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1535847692&sr=8-35-spons&keywords=scorch+torch&psc=1 I have one like this but the brand is scorch torch. I was gifted it, and after looking for my exact model for about 2 minutes this was the closest match off of amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GAES9TY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also own this exact lighter, but it gets much less use since for some reason the entire thing gets hot (up to about 120 F after 2 capfuls)

u/sirlucyy · 1 pointr/vaporents

Best lighter I’ve found, heats to the click quickly and you can refill it. Have one and i love it, use it to heat up my banger too

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G9GOOBU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_u0fhAbK8VCAZ6

u/That0neGuy86 · 1 pointr/DIY

That's an extremely useful bit of info! I really appreciate it!

I just have one more question, which I'm sure the answer is to obvious to everyone else but I am rather new to this all, but would I be able to connect this to the bilge pump to get it working off of a battery pack I have that has a female 12v port built in? (The battery pack is the 12,000mah battery I mentioned before) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KF9363/ref=psdc_15729631_t1_B074V6NPL7

u/tjbrou · 1 pointr/ImaginarySteampunk

Very neat. They also sell on Amazon for $25

u/slukas1 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have this single flame, which works surprisingly well:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01ITN61XO/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1493719174&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=eagle+torch&dpPl=1&dpID=41w9opsYWzL&ref=plSrch

EDIT: I have the vapcap M. Also got a Scorch triple flame, which is really nice, but I get bigger clouds/more consistent results with the single flame (though it does take longer to heat. Here's the Scorch I got:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GAES9TY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1493719373&sr=8-1&keywords=scorch+torch

u/ichbinweltschmerz · 1 pointr/Petioles

Awesome! It's a great vape! If you ever decide to get a torch, I highly recommend a single flame torch like ($12USD) this. Have fun!

u/sheymyster · 1 pointr/santashelpers

Maybe you could find a game both would enjoy playing with each other and send it to them on steam. Fallout 4 is awesome but eventually they will be looking to play something else. Rocket League is a pretty hot topic lately I hear and it's fairly inexpensive and multiplayer.

If you want something non-digital, maybe a cool Pocket Torch for the outdoorsy one and a massage or something similar for the homebody who's been stressed lately? Just some ideas, hope I helped.

u/arrjaytea · 1 pointr/vaporents

I've been curious about their pocketable offerings. You have this one? Pretty nice? Has it lasted a while?

u/bostonthrowaway7721 · 1 pointr/vaporents
u/SuperMajesticMan · 1 pointr/BeAmazed
u/Tinman1911 · 1 pointr/guns

Actually, for that application I'd spring for something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Survival-Technologies-Floating-Lighter/dp/B00C85NBBU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453228843&sr=8-1&keywords=Waterproof+lighter

Also, be aware I've had the fuel boil out of lighters over time from heat, and on one occasion had the interior of my car get hot enough to detonate one, scattering its plastic bits all over the passenger cab.

u/matthewdtwo · 1 pointr/arduino

I picked up one of these for a cardboard battlebot and I'm able to actuate it with a 9g servo, metal linkage, and some hot glue.

u/crocko22 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have this one and it works great and is super easy to refill. 🙃

u/ClosetCaseGrowSpace · 1 pointr/eldertrees

Oh man, I love my Dynavap. It's very tactile and satisfying to handle. It's my daytime go-to. The seshes are on the smaller size, so I don't get melted and wreck my tolerance if I'm hitting it all day. What are you using to heat it? I like tried a few different lighters with mine. I like this one a lot.

u/Jallfo · 1 pointr/cigars

Yea mine is slightly different, though. Here is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Bugatti-B-1-Torch-Lighter-Gunmetal/dp/B007W1CRXS

u/WhippingTheLammasASS · 1 pointr/vaporents

You would probably enjoy a smaller torch than those flambé style torches.

Everything on dynavap's website is solid. I guess amazon considers them 'torch/cigar lighters', so something like this or this. I haven't tried either of those, but just trying to give you a reference.

You can actually check out your local smoke shops for them too. However, they usually don't have as big of selection and can be a little more expensive. Aliexpress is would also be a good place to check out, if you don't mind 1 month boat shipping.

u/Autonomoose · 1 pointr/cigars

You can use a zippo (I'd only use it temporarily while waiting for your torch to come in). Don't let the flame touch it, and maybe let a burn a bit before a full draw. it may still have some flavor, but it will fade. As for a cheap replacement torch I just use these guys..

u/Auntie_Social · 1 pointr/Dynavap

I use these: Vertigo by Lotus Cyclone Triple Torch Cigar Lighter Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K04EQ2Y/

They have great capacity and just plain work well

If I win, I really want it to be in the $10-$20 category, because I got that pen as a gift last christmas, loved it, then lost it at school. I miss that pen.

u/John_the_Piper · 0 pointsr/EDC

If he's a techy kind of guy, you could try a [flameless rechargeable lighter] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EII2HM8/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1496716433&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=flameless+lighter+rechargeable&dpPl=1&dpID=519PlfwL3ML&ref=plSrch). It's definitely more of a trinket than actually useful to non-smokers, but it'll be a fun way to light a campfire in the backyard.

u/pipedream- · 0 pointsr/Dynavap

You need one that can handle 6a, which is pretty hard to find on amazon it seems.

But you could always buy one like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KF9363

and hook it up to one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KGMYMCQ/
