$500? Holy crap. https://www.amazon.com/N-Strike-Longstrike-Blaster-Discontinued-manufacturer/dp/B002V1B2J4
Yeah, but those are knockoff darts. Here's an official refill pack.
Edit: huh, you can get 75 official darts for $12.99 on Amazon.

A skin cell is 30 micrometers.
Average male is 5'9" (5.75 feet)
Google tells me 30 micrometers is 0.0011811024 inches
Plastic ball is 2.3"
0.0011811024/2.3 = 0.00051352278 (ratio of skin cell to plastic ball)
5.75 (feet of average human male)/0.00051352278 (ratio to increase size) = 11197.1663652 feet
that's 3732 yards
or 2.1 miles tall.
Assuming my math is correct, which it almost definitely isn't.
I don't think you understand how much of a steal this is. There's the two Recons going for $20 used and new for almost $100, the longshot going for $100-200 easy, the Vulcan going for way too much, two $15 Mavericks, a $25 rampage, plus a whole lot more. I mean, it's easily over $200 worth of guns, especially with that longshot. The longshot uses a different mechanism for firing the darts that can be better modified than pretty much any other nerf gun out there. Stock, it's on par with most guns, but modded it can be hitting some insane ranges. Since it's no longer in production, nor is any gun with the same mechanism, it's worth a pretty penny.
Edit: I'm wrong on the plunger system.

Looks like they stopped making them.
I've got like 3 in my Nerf box somewhere. They're pretty cool.
Biodegradable Water Balloons 100 pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0015VM60U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ezi6CbZMJ7710
We just took our 15 month-old, so here are some suggestions:
It's the Nerf Hammershot
I actually had just bought an inflatable pool and filled it with balls for Waffle: https://www.instagram.com/p/BUkJ4r9hDW9/?taken-by=fuqua_dogs
I think the only thing you really need to be concerned about is monitoring your dogs and make sure they're not trying to scarf the ball down their throats. Otherwise, I think it's always a fun idea!
I bought these (link) for my ball pit, and they work just fine. I probably need to add more balls though, since they didn't fill my pool very much!
Hammershots and Slingfires would be your go-to in this case, I agree.
--
Also maybe some Buzz Bee Doubleshots for that double-barrel break-open action.
--
EDIT: OP, not sure how much you like/dislike shells, but there's also the [Buzz Bee Rapid Fire Rifle](http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000GL1OL2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1463624503&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=buzz+bee+rapid+fire(
), which is lever-action like the Slingfire but uses shells that eject after each shot. I own one with around 40 shells, it needs more prep and cleanup than the Slingfire but can confirm you'll feel like a bad-ass gunslinger.
I had this snail filled with two packs of these ballpit balls smack dab in the middle of our living room for... basically a year. My son LOVED it. His favorite toy. It was a riot. But my God- what an eye sore. And ball's- balls everywhere. It's been months since that thing popped and I'm still finding balls under couches and entertainment centers!
BOOM!

just disclaimer some of these toys should only be played with under your supervision so use your best judgement. Check any rubber or stuffed/fabric toys daily for wear and if you see it starting to come apart throw it away as any loose pieces can be swallowed and cause a blockage. My ferrets aren’t chewers they just like to have toys to stash so I’m not as worried but everyone’s ferrets are different so be careful. Also you could make a dig box with rice (never instant) or dried pasta which is a lot of fun for them. They love tunnels, they love to dig, and they love to steal and stash small objects so the toys meet that criteria they’ll be happy lol
The dart and Rival round packs are also on sale, which should be compatible with the free dart promotion at NerfPerks.
http://www.amazon.com/Nerf-Rival-Apollo-XV-700-Red/dp/B00WU0X0OG
You can buy one! http://www.amazon.com/Nerf-N-Strike-Longstrike-CS-6-Blaster/dp/B002V1B2J4
I think they used that term because it's made from a nerf "sniper rifle" the longstrike
I'd say go with an elite hyperfire. It's still on store shelves, has a nice high rate of fire out of box (being full auto unmodded) and comes with a 25 dart drum. Since it only comes with the one mag, I'd say pick up an extra pack or two of darts and magazines if you can find them. Also, FYI it runs off 4 D cell batteries.
If you dont want to go with a battery operated blaster, go with a rampage. No batteries, Slamfire, 25 dart drum. Be sure to check kijiji or cragslist for a suitable blaster before you go buy it brand new. There's usually something nerf there.

Have fun with it.

I'm still waiting on my delivery of Koosh darts, but I've used several different brands thus far, and here's my totally unscientific analysis:
FJV - cheap and works in all types of blasters I've found, but beware poor packaging. Mine came in a soft bag envelope so quite a few darts were flattened and deformed. Other than those duds, they're consistent across all blasters.
VTN - From my own experience, these don't feed very well into my flywheelers. Excellent in springers though, but be warned; they HURT. Not exactly a good choice unless there's eye protection involved.
Voberry - Great quality with one fatal flaw, at least with the brand I bought: the glue is insufficient, leading to my flywheelers literally tearing the heads off these darts. No bueno.
Waffle Tip - Quickly becoming a favorite of mine. They hurt way less even coming out of modded blasters, and seem to have comparable accuracy and range to the average.
Underrated favorite: Dart Zone darts. I'd probably use them almost exclusively were they cheaper and easier to get.
Hmm...starting to think I should get a chrono and make a comprehensive test...
>So buying 75 darts for 20 bucks once every year is NBD.
If you absolutely must use Hasbro's own Elite darts, don't pay $20 for 75 darts. Either buy or price match in-store from Amazon, where the price is half that. Obviously, the better option is to just buy FVJs or Koosh darts, but again, if you absolutely must have Hasbro darts, Amazon is the way to go.
You shouldn't use exercise balls for any animals, they feel exposed and it can cause them stress. They also have poor ventilation and especially when they pee and poop while in it. If you want to give your mouse some exercise you can make or buy a playpen and put lots of toys, cardboard boxes, etc. in it for her to explore safely. I use this for mine!
I bought this on a whim and its pretty powerful for how light and cheap it is!!

It has a high cost because it isn't being manufactured anymore and was released 6 years ago. Limited stock.

Look at Blue Longstrike prices, it was released 3 years prior to the Sledgefire. It uses a reverse plunger (terrible performance), and not many upgrade kits, yet an Amazon seller still wants $500 for one.

We have a tub, but Grandma's house has only showers. When my daughter was younger, she disliked the shower. Now (1.5 yrs), while she is dubious initially, once she's in she finds the spray from the detachable shower head very ticklish, and giggles through most of the shower! Maybe you can find a shower sprayer that's quieter and/or gentler? One thing I'd considered for Grandma's but never tried, was using an inflatable pool like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I9RZOW/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_UEaWub0SH89D5
Hope that helps!

Is this what you are talking about? When you say air holes do you mean take off the orange part that is at the front but do not remove the grey.
So I'm pretty much in the exact position you're in. Haven't touched a nerf gun in 10+ years but thought it would be fun to play around with at home. I went with the Apollo because its cheap and part of the new "rival" series that shoots foam balls and they look pretty sweet/fun.

Amazon Price < As you can see they are going for 200$ on amazon right now. And they aren't on any shelves around here, or I haven't heard anything on American Nerf forums. You could be able to make some money by buying Longshots and selling them to Americans. That is really interesting that you still have old stuff there.
Like this and this and this
Nerf guns are badass now. Back in the day, the coolest nerf weapon you could get was the bow and arrow
https://www.amazon.com/Unknown-782-USB-Missile-Launcher/dp/B000XYR2CM
Doooo iiiiiit!!
FYI: Nerf is coming out with a new modulus style longstrike that shoots elite standard fps. It's pretty expensive though, 70 bucks (on Amazon).
If you can find evidence supporting these claims, I'd like to see it.
I doubt the fact that the ammo is slightly decorated has any effect on anything, really. Also the prices vary. Take these examples from Amazon, it will show you that there has been an increase in some cases and a decrease in others. The ZombieStrike and Rebelle series have always had decorated refill packs, so they don't apply to the "change."
Elite Darts, 75 pack, decorated.
Undecorated 75 pack Elites.
Elite Darts, 30 pack, decorated.
Elite Darts, 30 pack, undecorated.
Decorated MEGA 20 pack.
Undecorated original MEGA refill pack. Multiply by 2 because it's a 10 pack
Zombiestrike standard Elite streamline refills have always been decorated.
I can't find the Zed Squad Mega refills on Amazon, but I checked Target and they're $9.95 for a refill of 10.
Rebelle has been known for having decorated refill packs, like ZombieStrike.
Rebelle Refill pack
Another Rebelle Refill pack
And this Rebelle Refill pack
Practice purpose? I can think of one: people could use decorated ammo to identify their darts in a war. It's not all of the darts in the packs that are decorated, only about 1/3 of them. Another practical purpose: Indicate when you're running out of ammo and when it's time to reload. You could place one decorated dart at the end of your clip and have the rest undecorated. Since the packs have more than one, you can disperse them among your clips.
New isn't always bad.
Edit: Added data for comparison.
Meanwhile in Canaderp :(

I really like the Buzz Bee Western Rifle for just... fun factor. It's just a fun thing to use. It's not a good blaster, but the fact that it's lever-action and ejects shells... It just makes you smile to use.
According to camelcamelcamel the Centurion for $25.89 and the Mega Dart 10-pack for $4.40 are also at their lowest price.
The Cycloneshock is also on sale for $13.99
Yay, so glad to hear it went well. I can't wait to camp with our little one. You mentioned bringing a kiddie pool. Do you have one yet? We got this one and it's great. Inflates pretty quick, deflates to fold up small, holds enough water to be fun for splashing. Only (small) downside is that it is absolutely covered in warning labels. Ha!

This thing, right?
You can get a CycloneShock For cheaper here
I agree. The key is to be professional and courteous. Have a designated event organizer, respect other people, and clean up the best you can. Have everyone stay after it's over and clean up the area on ground.
When I play airsoft, we have a rule- leave the area cleaner than it was when we got there. Sure, there are BBs everywhere if it's outdoors, but we pick up all the trash even if it was there before we got there, and we leave the site with the trash bags, putting new ones in. Even if the trash bags were full already. A public park is not very different. Don't give them a reason to want you gone and they won't ask you to go.
Ninja Edit: Also, be sure to use biodegradable balloons.
Bought this same pack for $17.99 last week from amazon.
Edit: http://camelcamelcamel.com/Raytheon-Toys-N-Strike-Blasters-300-Pieces/product/B01IQAMN4G
You could also do a pop-up ball pit. I used one for my boys when I would clean their cage, and it’s less than $15. (Link for example)
ball pit
THEY ALREADY DO!
I'd suggest balloons but the eco hippie in me cringes at the thought of so many balloons going up into the air and then popping and falling back onto the earth. Maybe paper lanterns instead? They're biodegradable at least, and very pretty.
Here's a pack of 50 for $47, they're about a foot by a foot http://www.amazon.com/Chinese-Kongming-Lanterns-Birthday-Wedding/dp/B009C6TMAM

It was a longstrike with an Orangemodworks upgrade kit. You can buy the modulus longstrike now, which make the OMW kit redundant.
I checked out your product and saw this Jungle Gym Heavy Duty Swing Hangers in the recommendations. It's rated for humans and I see reviews posting images doing aerial yoga. Could this work in place of the tie down rings I suggested earlier? I know it doesn't solve the problem of the rope not being enough.
I'm not big on the idea of building any furniture because my space is very small (300 sqft studio) and I don't have anywhere to store it when it's not in use.
If you're willing to order from Amazon, it's $25 new there:

the 30 pack is about $ 10.00, and thats a better deal.
For the first one (pistol) The Nerf Speedload 6
For the second one (M1 Garand) us the The Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 Dart Blaster
One thing I saw recommended and was really glad we did was to get one of these inflatable baby pools and use it as a place to set baby down for a nap without them getting all sandy or being able to crawl away. Obviously it doesn’t work for an older baby but at least until their walking.
I’ve also seen people use them as an actual pool. Like putting some water inside while at the beach...but to me that kind of defeats the purpose of the beach. I liked it a lot as a portable “bed” though.
I’d also bring an umbrella for sun.
How about this one?
It's not a bad option if you don't mind dropping $60. 90ft range claims, a bunch of attachments, three firing modes and potentially comes with two mags. This is from a performance perspective though.
That being said, for $60 you could get a few of the suggestions other people have made here:
Buzz Bee Destiny - $33
Nerf Sledgefire - $32
Nerf Hammershot - $17 ea
Nerf Slingfire - $23
Nerf Rough Cut - $23
And these are just bog-standard amazon offers, you'd get better deals shopping around usually.
Personally? I'd go destiny + slingfire. The destiny will shoot faster, and the sledgefire is a killer backup blaster. But that's just me, this is your choice. If the regulator speaks to you, go for it.
TRU will price match from amazon.com . They have the cycloneshock listed for $22, so you can save $8 and still get it in person.
Amazon is the cheapest place I could find.
Even though these tend to be the most accurate .50 cal darts, they tend to have very slow on target velocities (making them easier to dodge at further distances). Mixed with how close koosh dart performance is the USD and how cheap koosh darts are in bulk, most tend to just by koosh. My recommend brand is BW12.
I'm looking to mount rings to the joists in my garage. Would there be any noticeable difference between a mount like this one where the straps will be in carabiners which can move slightly or a mount like this one where that's not the case? I like the idea of being able to use the carabiners to quickly take the rings down without having to mess with the straps.

Best of both worlds seems to be this mount but it's wicket expensive for two.

Definitely. I got my nephew a Nerf N-Strike Longshot for Christmas this year. It was almost bigger than he was. He loved it. My sister, not so much.
For those pesky coworkers you need this
this if i win
Here are some instructions to follow.
Joists don't take well to lateral twisting forces, so I would get some additional clear 2x6 to act as blocking between the joist you hang the swing from and the adjacent one(s).
Some of those joists have enough big enough knots in unhelpful places that I'd want to sister the one I'm hanging from with a second joist of clear timber. If you rip down a wider one, you can end up with a joist to hang from that has the 2 hooks level, because it tapers to 5-and-a-half inches at the gutter end and is notched to fit over the ledger at the house end. Swings that have one end hung from a higher point with longer chains swing funny, with an odd twisty motion. And just using a longer lag-eye at the higher end to make the eyes level is bad news for metal-fatigue problems.
I've seen plenty of porch swings hung successfully with the standard hardware-store National Swing Hangers, but I'm much more comfortable when the "weight capacity" is 5X or more greater than the expected weight.
it looks cool but its not very fun, it only holds 2. Here is so better nerf shotguns:
Rough cut
Rival Atlas
Sledge Fire
EDIT: also, the atlas is probably the best if you want practicality, because it uses magazines allowing for easy reloading, it only shoots 2 balls at once though.
If you want spread and amount of firepower the sledge fire is the best, its a break action that shoots 3 darts at once.
The rough cut wins in rate of fire as you can just hold down the trigger and pump over and over again, letting out a hellstorm of darts
If you don't want to launch missiles, why are you even building a pc?

10 denars here? Buy 2
I don't know how widely available they are in stores, especially versus the regular kind, but it looks like biodegradable water balloons are now a thing.
>Secret father advice, this is why you also bought the best Nerf gun the store had while buying for the kids, but you left it hidden in the trunk (For Aussies, hide it in your boot).
That's what I did last Christmas. I bought all of my siblings and cousins (about 12 of us) one of these guys, a single shot pistol that comes with a single extra dart. Meanwhile I bought this for myself, a six round revolver and a package of extra ammo.
The whole day was pretty much a nonstop shootout.
