The Amoebe was originally dreamed up for Panton’s Visiona installation. It is a marvelous example of close-to-the-floor lounge furniture and embodies the spirit of the early 70’s. Amoebe highback has a flexible backrest that curves over the head of the sitter, forming a sculptural canopy. In this way, Amoebe highback creates a sense of shelter and seclusion – especially in large, open spaces.
